Jungle/Breakcore legends Deformer are back with another horror infused release: 'The Living Dead Deformed'. Deformer is known for putting the shock into electronic music and pushing the horror experience to another level. During their shows they cut off limbs and intestines are thrown into the audience while the extreme music turns the crowd into raging freaks. 'The Living Dead Deformed' pays hommage to one of the biggest horrorfilm classics of all time: 'Night of the living dead' (1968) and its creators.

The record was produced before the unfortunate passing of George A. Romero. Out of respect, Deformer chose put out the record as a non-profit, limited edition, numbered by hand, green coloured vinyl release. The amazing cover art is created by legendary visual artist Graham Humphreys (A Nightmare on Elm Street, The Evil Dead, Poltergeist).

'The Living Dead Deformed' is dark, menacing and will again turn parties into moshpits.

A bit of an emotional moment for us - this much needed repress of one of our very favourite slabs of vinyl that have passed through these doors over the years. Exploring the very outer limits of dancehall and techy D&B, both sides writhe and snarl at 90bpm, beating you over the head with pressure cooked kick drums, drop forged snares and, those ugly, ugly mentasms. Upon it's original release, it was a challenging and very rewarding record - one that had DJs scratching their heads, dancers demanding wheelups and, more recently - more than a few emails from people asking if there were any copies left stashed away. Both side's disregard for genres and conventions mean this plate sounds just as fresh now as it did upon it's original release date - arguably it's better stationed for tactical deployment now than it was back in 2013 - The current crop of stripped back dancehall (and halftime D&B that has been undoubtedly informed by it) are in rude health and prime for disruption with this record. That said, regardless of which styles you play - this is one of those wildcard riddims that can be used at peak time to wreak havoc on any dancefloor. Blacklabel, sticker sealed pressure, with a yellow paper insert of the original artwork. One of those records you'll pull off the shelf in years to come, no doubt about it. 7th Storey Projects are delighted to announce an immediate return for Fushara to our label following the success of his previous release with us (Ascension/Nerve, cat number 7TH 12018, released October 2017).

Consistent with his previous output, this release contains two epic tracks which evoke the themes of industrial and urban decay which permeate much of his work.

We've found it hard to put the music into words, suffice to say they are true breakbeat fueled, sonic journeys that feature razor-sharp drum programming and foreboding atmospherics - a must for any jungle/dnb head with a penchant for their music thoughtful, dark and moody.

Fushara aka Thushara Goonewardene is a London based electronic musician working with breakbeats, samples and synthesiser. A constant theme for his music is urban decay. From the late 90's Fushara has been involved with the London scene as a raver, DJ, and Producer. He has produced experimental work for labels such as Pineconemoonshine, MJAZZ and more recently Scientific Recordings. In 2015 he set up an imprint Lone Foundation to showcase experimental bass music collaborating with DAAT and others. More recently he has made a return to work with breakbeat collaborating with Infest for one of his tracks on his debut on Criterion Records and has signed to Flex Recordings for a forthcoming EP.

I Like You' - An off-world soundscape lays the foundation for a storming assault of Amens, on fire off the shoulder of Orion, pads like glittering C-beams, and sub weight that could either be a benefit or a hazard to humanity.

7th Storey Projects is pleased to welcome back the Myor Massiv head honcho for his 3rd release on our label.

Earlier this year, Coco Bryce travelled to Tokyo and Osaka for a small series of gigs. Thoroughly impressed by his experiences there, upon returning home, he immediately took to crafting a slew of jungle and hip hop tracks, heavily influenced by everything he'd seen, heard, felt and tasted in the Land of the Rising Sun.

The ep kicks off with its title track, Ayakashi. Dark, fierce and mysterious like the mythical creatures it was named after, it builds up slowly, utilizing a combination of chopped up Japanese percussion, haunting flutes and Hot Pants breaks, before switching to full on Amen assault mode halfway through the tune.

Shinjuku is one of Tokyo's most well known wards, and also the place where Coco found the records from which the samples were sourced to construct this number: a turntablism beat/scratch album, and a compilation of traditional work songs, this particular one originating from the gold mines of the island of Hokkaido.

On the B1 track, Kaguya, he takes a more gentle approach: sweet, yet melancholic, like the Miyazaki movie of the same name.

The ep is rounded off with Hotaru, which borrows from an entirely different source of inspiration, namely DJ Krush's abstract take on boom bap hip hop. Shards of mid-90s Mo Wax are blended with anime samples, making for a solid two and a half minutes of Golden Era-esque head nodding.

Here he makes his bow on 7th Storey Projects with two amen-driven monsters - The A side features 'Ascension', an epic roller with industrial atmospherics and haunting vocal snatches.

This is backed up with 'Nerve' on the B Side, a nine and a half minute militant amenistic assault that hits hard, just the way we like it!

We're delighted to welcome Fushara to our roster of talent, we are sure you will be hearing plenty more from the man going forward!

8ball is part of the Grade10 record label who has been popping up on Radar Radio and NTS Radio over the last few years. This is 8balls first release proper on Grade10 and it comes hot on the heels of the All You See Is Crime In The City cassette. 8balls rare appearances behind the decks have included Outlook Festival and Broken Sonics at Corsica Studios.

This Ep contain five tunes which cover ambient, jungle and hardcore. They all come ladened with overdubbed compression and bins rattling bass apart from Sepia is a jungle tune with only the synths left in. Tun3 and Maker are both short intense blasts, while Stages is classic jungle and So Good is reminiscent of late 91 hardcore.

For this debut release, the Munich-based crew behind FAYAH CHORDS has turned to two experienced vocal talents: South African dancehall mic man Crosby and veteran toaster Longfingah.

Crosby delivers a trademark vocal on the skittish but soulful, reggae-influenced dubstep pressure of "Bad Mind Character", which was produced by FAYAH CHORDS crew member Ruffftec and TheBanktella.

It's accompanied by two jaunty digital stepper dub/reggae reworks by Violinbwoy and Blue Hill respectively. Ruffftec returns to the controls on Longfingah's cheery, breezy and soulful dubstep bumper "Caught Inna Dem System".

In this instance, the remixes were delivered by Subactive in a wobbly early dancehall style followed by the killer remix of Phantom Warrior, who weighs in with an interpretation that looks to ragga-fuelled drum & bass for inspiration.

This release provides enough musical fuel to light every dance on FAYAH. By the way - the cover and vinyl presentation is delicately finished. A matt sleeve with white walled finish with an artwork depicting the artists fight against injustice. The vinyl itself is uniquely white.

Fast on the heels of 2016's long awaited return Sweet Sensi Records with SENSI003 featuring FeyDer's That's My Number, the Sweet Sensi Records camp returns again with its fourth and most old skool junglist double 10" vinyl.

Tim Reaper lights up the first side of plate 1 of the release with Oh Gosh, a proper '95 style vocal ragga tune.

Next up is Netherland's FFF with his dub-infused amen smasher 'Done With It.

Locking down the first side of plate 2 is Kid Lib bringing the spirit of Tom and Jerry with rare-groove inspired ragga lick 'Nuf Luv'.

Finally closing off the release is Sweet Sensi Records Head Honcho's DJ Clear and Co-Label Owner David Jabba's 'Jungle Lovers' - funky guitar lick and amen smashing beats for your dancefloor.

Bjarki's not a fan of boxes - in fact, if you try putting him in one and he'll gleefully jump out and stamp all over it. In 2015 you probably had him pegged as a techno artist, but in 2016 he confounded everyone's expectations of his musical path (surprise breakout hit of the year followed by big room appearances playing the aforementioned hit at every set..). And instead he released three widely praised LPs ' Lefhanded Fuqs Æ' that mapped out a broad musical landscape for him - one that runs from ice cold ambient soundscapes, through melodic techno, exuberant breakbeat and on toclassic rave. His final release of 2016 'Fresh Jive' placed him firmly leading the pack of artists who in the past few years have set about re-moulding the scent of breakbeat, rave, jungle and IDM into sounds that are entirely their own.
In 2017 Bjarki opens up a record label with his childhood friend Johnny ChromeSilver, bbbbbb Records.
'My Inspiration' is a classic breakbeat jungle track, written by Floyd Dice and Acen as X-Static, originally released in1992 on Production House Records. For the new release, the B-side includes an additional version by Bjarki that was mouth-wateringly teased to the general public on last years. Trip 2 Iceland video. Bjarki's 'Sweetest Thing' Version revs up the pads, melody and vocal of the original into a spine tingling, brooding and insanely addictive bass heavy breakbeat roller.
