Polishing Peanuts DELUXE's first EP (November 2011) opened the door & created a buzz about the band's future projects. The 3 first tracks that came out in spring, started to tease the audience's interest, especially Daniel the EP's title track (out on May 13th) & the crazy video who came along with it. The long awaited LP drops on September 16th 2013, and goes by the sweet name of The DELUXE Family show.

This first album reflects the maturity acquired by the band during the years, full of tracks as diverse & breathtaking as the fellows mustaches. The jazzy touch, trademark of the band's first discographic adventures can be found on tracks Extra Mile & Bleed On, Indisposed (feat. Cyph4) & Pretty Flaws are melancholic & dreamy ballads, whereas Family Show & Baby (feat ASM) are hip hop bangers. The LP travels through different styles, it also features several mc's (Tumi on Too Me, Taiwan Mc on Blocked) and surprises the ears by easily skipping from dub step fuelled rock & roll vibes, to sweet & sour ballads, and even funky disco sounds. With eclecticism, assumed diversity and an urge to tell a story, DELUXE invites his listeners to immerse in this first album's universe, grooving, moving, bouncing, a real musical melting pot with various horizons.

Mood Child label owners Sirus Hood and Manda Moor curate a sonic journey featuring global talent as they proudly present their latest compilation, ‘Various Moods’. A kaleidoscope of experiences, the release showcases six tracks from diverse artists, each contributing their unique vibe to this eclectic musical package.

Hailing from Brazil, Wayne Le’s ‘This is How’ pays homage to the origins of electronic music with a rolling bassline and a vocal tribute to classic Roland machines, the 808 and the 303. The track’s energy crescendos, making it a highly sought-after ID. Spanish duo Fourth Phase brings ‘WTF’ to the compilation, a groovy masterpiece characterized by 909 drums, a massive bassline, and a playful vocal, reminiscent of the 90s. From Curitiba, Brazil, guerrA. presents ‘Storno’, a fast-paced old-school beat that weaves chopped vocals from a rap DJ tool into a groove enriched with analog drums and a powerful bass sound.

A fusion of French and Taiwanese influences, Nathan Alzon’s ‘Flashback’ captures the essence of a new beginning. The track features a vocal saying “take me away”, blending seamlessly with the groovy sound characteristic of Alzon’s productions. Representing Mexico, Gama delivers ‘Tatata’, an explosion of Latin percussive elements blended with a hypnotizing groove. Inspired by his hometown Cancún, Gama experiments with new rhythms and sounds, infusing a significant Latin influence into the track. Marseille’s Malikk, known for his releases on Hot Creations and Hottrax, collaborates with Palermo-based Side B. The duo draws inspiration from '80s disco, funky, soul, and retro movies, crafting ‘How I Feel’ with punchy drums, a heavy bassline, and unique grooves.

Kill Emil is a Greek DJ and producer, based in Athens, who since 2009 has produced tracks with powerful and sophisticated rhythms and vaporous atmospheres.

Influenced as much by Latin and Jamaican music as by Hip-Hop, Kill Emil regularly collaborates with artists such as l'Entourloop (on their album “Le Savoir Faire”), The Architect, Taiwan MC and Marina P.

Deja Vu is a sonic journey through nostalgic rhythms and fresh beats, offering listeners a blend of the familiar and the new. Each track is a testament to Kill Emil's dedication to the craft, featuring meticulously crafted layers that invite repeated listens.

Reissue! Ein exklusives Album zur damaligen (2019) Feier des 15-jährigen Bestehens des CMR-Labels, das von Chinese Man, Baja Frequencia und der Scratch Bandits Crew zusammengestellt wurde! In sechs Tagen entstanden 18 Demos. Sechs Monate später wurden schließlich 15 Songs für das Album fertiggestellt und veröffentlicht. Der Downbeat von Chinese Man vermischt sich mit den dub-tropischen Klängen des Baja Frequencia-Duos, welche von dem unglaublichen Hip Hop-Know-How der Scratch Bandits Crew ergänzt werden. "Racing with the Sun" wurde wie ein Soundtrack zu einem imaginären Film konzipiert, einem seltsamen Western, der in einem geisterhaften fernen Westen spielt, in dem sich mysteriöse Charaktere in den verschiedenen Tracks verflechten. Später meldete sich das französische Kollektiv mit einem Remix-Album seiner bisher besten Veröffentlichung zurück und nannte es "Remix with the Sun". Ihre eigenen DJs und befreundeten Künstler haben das Album neu abgemischt, um einen neuen Einblick in die Lehren des Chinese Man zu geben. Simbad, Femi Kuti, DJ Suv, Deluxe, Mourning Son feat. Jeru The Damaja, Tha Trickaz, Iration Steppas, OBF, Scratch Bandits Crew, General Elektriks und weitere Gäste haben dazu beigetragen. Following six studio albums of funk-driven loungecore, Hospital Records head honcho London Elektricity embarks on the boldest musical adventure of his 30-year career with his seventh long-player Building Better Worlds.

It began in a Forest Hill cafe in 2017 where London Elektricity adoringly browsed through a series of Benjamin Beechs photography of perfectly untouched, derelict buildings and towns in Japan, Taiwan and China. Many of the images show what has been, what could have been and what will be. The duality of beauty and melancholia within appealed to me immensely. Each track was married to a photo, to join the sights to sounds from each of his tales of Building Better Worlds.

Leading the voyage is the orchestral masterpiece Final View From The Rooftops, that’s been 13 years in the making and is the most unusual piece of D+B he’s ever made, featuring the incredible operatic talent of Cydnei B. Build A Better World is a smooth drum & bass sonnet with the vocals of Hospital family favourite Emer Dineen. The beauty of this song lies in its simplicity, but also its duality. I'll leave you to work out what the lyrics are really about... They are some of the darkest lyrics I've come across in years.

Another special moment is the feature of London Elektricitys youngest son, The Secretary-General. The talented nine-year-old takes no Time To Think as he flawlessly flows through Injas lyrics with the ever-vibrant MC following suit, bringing the track full-circle across generations.
