Kolter serves up four grooves blending streamlined beats with cheeky funk swagger. Opener 'Do Not Resist' brings us breakbeat mischief and heaps of hip-hop attitude, ;'April Funk' adds a few P Funk touches to a stripped down DJ track that's not exactly frills free but definitely shaped for action in the mix. There's more of an 80's synth flavour to 'Roboflow', although the more robotic tendencies are played off with funky keys, while 'Forest' takes a more chilled route to satisfaction, nodding at Kraftwerk's bittersweet melodies without overtly aping them.

* The original sister label to Ram Records from the old Ram HQ studio in Essex, Liftin Spirit Records now celebrates its 25th year with a special ‘RELOADED’ limited vinyl series of remastered classics, alongside rare and previously unreleased tracks since the beginning in1992.

* DATs from artists such as Andy C, Ant Miles, Shimon, Joint Venture, Interrogator and Red One have been located in the archives. Also from the Ram & Liftin HQ came tracks for the Deep Seven label in 1993 and all these rare DAT masters have been located and now re-cut by Simon, the original Ram & Liftin vinyl masterer at ‘The Exchange’. Initially, Deep Seven remasters will present on a printed white label and unreleased tracks will have a black label.

* The 8th release on Deep Seven brought with it a new artist to the label in the form of ‘Aeon Flux’. An alias of Nigel Broad who had previously produced tracks under the artist name ‘Release’ in 1992. His Hardcore cuts such as ‘The Spirit of Space’ EP and Dance in Eden/Passion are now seminal classics and this release is no different. Remastered from the original DAT and presented on 180g heavy weight vinyl with the extra and longer mix of Reality that was not previously included on the original 12”

The Belgian party organisation and record label De:tuned presents the final outing of their 10 year anniversary vinyl series. "DE:10.10" kicks off with a trippy Plaid remix of Humanoid's "sT8818r" track. The remix provides some more 3AM rave pressure for those sweaty basement parties. Erik Van Den Broek aka Shiver follows with a previously unreleased mix of "Primerose", an emotive late night acid track that was released on the 5 Years De:tuned box set in 2014. The B-side offers "Formulate", music straight from the soul produced by the physical embodiment of UK emotive techno and one half of B12, Steven Rutter. Lone completes the series with "Dream Ache", an exclusive track that graced Rustie's BBC Radio One Essential Mix back in 2012, finally pressed on wax.

Kevin Foakes (Openmind, DJ Food, Ninja Tune) created all the graphic work. Mastered by Matt Colton at Metropolis Mastering. This 12" is pressed on 180 gr vinyl and is housed in a detailed silver foil sleeve to celebrate "10 Years De:tuned". Stay tuned!

The triple threat production force of Holland-Dozier-Holland put their special touch on Freda Payne - The Unhooked Generation for Invictus back in 1969. Much loved in the sampling world for its killer guitar hook intro, most famously used in JVC Force - Strong Island, this Tom Moulton remix has never been pressed as a single before.

RTR crafted a hypnotic pull, drawing the listener deeper into its enigmatic journey by joining the dots between colorful, moody and very melodic electro all way long. It rolls out as much structures as Solaris planet can carve out on his ocean surface, intertwining acid-tinged bass, crisp techno, break edits, jungle. Suckaside consists of BBP/Ghetto Funk superstar B-Side who has teamed up with long time funky DJ Sucka Timmywho specialize in DJ friendly funky edits and original productions. Together their styles blend into a rather Toxic cocktail of the funky street beats of DJ B-Side and the trained ear and skill for blending music from Sucka Timmy.

Krokakai, an emergent Glaswegian producer with a penchant for hardware – largely using an MPC2000XL, SH09, MS20 Mini, TT-303, Roland Alpha Juno and other trusted tools – he’s already turned heads on labels such as Invisible Inc and PowerStation Records. Right here he lays down the label’s parameters with four unique, far-reaching escapades.

As an (electronic) multi-instrumentalist, ES has been making music on a daily base for more than 25 years but has not released anything meaningful to this day. When we asked for some demos, we were literally bombarded with hundreds of well-produced songs in a wide variety of styles.

ES is a very creative artist who, in addition to making (video) art, creates his own world with his music. He is a musician with a completely unique sound that sometimes evokes a strong association with other music or artists. It sounds familiar and is pleasant to listen to because all the sounds seem to fall into place perfectly. But at the same time, it's totally fresh and sounds like nothing else.

“I just want to make music and not worry about the hassle; you just have to do it for me...” was the answer to the question if we could talk about releasing some music on one of our labels. "Just pick the songs you like, releasing my music on vinyl would be great ..."

So that's what we did...

This first EP gives a nice overview of some of the many musical sides of ES. It's jazzy, funky, dubby and trippy electronica with bits of ambient, house, breakbeat, acid and many other weird ES sound mix-ups. The tracks are as they are, all recorded in one take/version. Unique songs with sharply programmed rhythm and bass complemented by brilliantly played guitar, piano and synth parts. It's a surprising debut from an artist who only shows a small part of his personality with this release.

* Jonny L is widely and rightly regarded as one of the most talented and influential artists working in the scene today. His style is hard to define as he rarely repeats an idea or theme in any track, and this can be easily felt in this eclectic but essential selection of previously unreleased work. Each track here was made in the early years of rave, and yet each maintains the standard high quality and accomplished sound you would expect from Jonny L. This is a rare opportunity to grab hold of some of his formative work, and as an EP, it is simply outstanding and unmissable..

Griffé is back in 2021 with a fresh release from the young and talented producer Vafa. For his very first solo EP on vinyl, this young producer from Marseille demonstrates his ability to produce tracks tailored for the dancefloor while creating a singular atmosphere. With a singular and precise rhythmic programming coupled with an intelligent use of samples and chords, he delivers 4 tracks with diverse atmospheres all having in common an unparalleled efficiency.

Coco Bryce dons his DJ Y alias for his debut on Unknown To The Unknown’s Dance Trax series - 3 tracks of "off the wall” breakbeat-electronix taking in everything from gabber, jungle & tekno.

In this compelling debut release, NETSH takes the listener on a one-way trip to his world with his own unique take on acid, braindance, electro, jungle and even a dash of hardcore. Frenzied breakbeats, thick and melodic 303 sequences, ass-shaking drum programming along with deep and lush pads are the constant on this record, coherent and diverse a the same time, which tells a lot about the young producer's musical maturity.

This is the fourth of the Legends Vs Legends series. These very limited 10" Legends Vs Legends series aim to pit the finest in old skool artists against other old skool artists to see who is the best ever...haha, no. There is no best. But these little 10"s have BIG tunes by BIG artists and as we have some absolute shockers lined up. This time in the orange corned is Dj Ham, aka Hamilton, and in the blue corner old skool master New Decade. Both bring their A game to these remixes of classic tracks…unmissable…

Earlier in the year, we heaped tons of praise on the booming, breakbeat-driven first EP from Pilot, which showcased a quartet of killer cuts from Johannes Kolter. He returns to action on this EP, taking control of the B-side to offer-up the funky, sample-heavy electro/breaks fusion of 'B2R' (think Layo & Bushwacka's classic material and you're close) and the more spacey, electro-focused bubbliness of 'Systematic'. While they're both very good, we'd argue that North Phase's A-side tracks are even better. Choose between the dubby and hypnotic breakbeat-house roll of 'Feel It', and 'Escape From Planet X', a deeper, more bass-heavy chunk of breakbeat pleasure that comes complete with fizzing electronic noises, deep bass and some suitably trippy synth sounds.

The first release on Jugaar Records is from Karachi boy Rudoh and brings together five slabs of electro-breaks architecture primed equally for the dance-floor and headphones - including a remix from Australia-based, Salt Mines Records honcho, Shedbug. Enjoy!

Visual Art and Music have historically shared an important, entwined relationship; often posing questions of which provoked which in a project? What about when the imagery is a medieval surrealist, hyper coloured XTC wonderland? Genre-blurred and stirred, daring and dynamic dance music for the twistedly imaginative minds and bodies! The Tapestry of Sound is an audio tribute to the liquid lockdown Tapestry of 2020, a wall-size mixed media art piece originally intended for a live-stream backdrop; despite not being completed in time, it became the epicentre of communal creative junction & release - no limits or logical sense. The result, a sonic terrarium cultivated by longtime partners in crime D. Tiffany and Roza Terenzi; with the help of friends, weaving their sapphic magic into something wicked and new for STEP02, Tapestry of Sound.

A maypole is a tall wooden pole often erected as part of late 19th century European Midsummer folk festivals, around which a dance often takes place; coinciding with Summer Solstice, or in Corona-era... Scrollstice. The A-side presents two contrasting offerings of the Maypole Theme, opening with the Surrealist Piano Roll Mix; an effortless euphoria gliding and twirling amidst a rolling 2-step garage routine, playfully anticipating melodic ecstasy via black and white keys. A complementary contrast offered by the Looming Giant Mix; sleek and deep. A hot-femme fiasco, driving and deviating between 4/4 and a freaky broken plot-twist; evoking imagery of the night, skipping fiercely round the pole; which was often considered a symbol of the union between masculine and feminine energy.

Wasp Of A Woman initiates the B side blowout, stripped back and sensual, but don’t be fooled; this is a straight-up b0mb. Low end throbbing underneath ferociously swung drums, topped by microphone assassin Kaylin with the fire lyrical content, a true upcycle of genres to set the mood for a flammable dancefloor. Cooling off, only slightly for a cigarette break, is Inhale, Exhale the final track from the EP. The tempo finally settling down but bumping up the groove with thumping toms guiding a playful party-starter, rhythmic and melodically inspired; infectiously cheeky with subliminal naughty memos teasing their way in through the backdoor.

Let your mind run wild with this effortless collaboration, two minds sharing the same obscurely forward-thinking visionary, the Tapestry Of Sound; a Meta Musical Time Capsule.

Rising Rotterdam based producer Kessler has been bubbling over the past 12 months with a string of high quality releases on labels such as Yellow Island Records and his own KESSLER TRAX imprint. His first full vinyl outing sees him serve up a bass driven masterpiece for Shall Not Fade's new "Basement Tracks" series. Ambivalent EP is nothing short of spectacular, weighty breaks meet dreamy synth patterns on this killer dance disc.

For ONO Records’ debut release we are incredibly excited to present to the world the illusive Perth producer e-Plume. Wafting through from the suburbs of Perth, e-Plume conjures floaty breakbeat science, rantzenian digi-dub and twisted illbient manipulations to create five mystical yet utterly unique tracks.

Side A embarks on a tripped out subaquatic voyage, discovering a flurry of liquid breaks and swirling organs on Fountain Trip. Eventually docking on a concrete mainland with the trip-hop induced End of Voltaire.

Side B ventures further in-land at a breakneck speed with the frenetic soundclash junglism of Channel 3, before launching into the atmospheric slo-mo breaks n’ bass of Lorizon. Ending up well into the outer-rim with the otherworldly melodic communique of Kiki’s Gambert.

In March 2020, the Omakase team decided to gather some producers, musicians and singers they knew around a collective project, having the large electronic music spectrum as principal axis. From this idea was born, a few months later, a multiple opus, varied, rich of textures, shapes and influences going from trip-hop and bass to ambient, breaks, beat, house, lo-fi and jungle. This compilation, first record of the label, regroups several talented artists from the modern electronic
music scene who try to question sounds of today and tomorrow.

Russian Producer Alexander Lay-Far told us he missed DJing a lot during lockdown in Moscow and so he tried to channel the energy that he missed from clubs into these simple yet effective sample-based tracks which are a great mixture of funky breaks, soulful loops and vocal chops with heavy sub bass and bleeps, created with a BIG sound-system in mind!

The man even made special half-jocular term for this music - Soulful Hardcore - a fusion of rough banging rhythms on the edge of UK Hardcore, Electro, Breaks, House, Techno, early Jungle with prevailing Soulful feel and melodies. All the songs on this EP are dedicated to his better half Natalie and LOVE in general!

One of the songs get a remix by another Russian Talent ''Raw Takes'' the Saint Petersburg producer and photographer strips back the Original and makes it into a Ravey Dance Floor ready cut!

House head, soul man and jazz aficionado Envee is back on Local Talk with 'Gotta Work' featuring Nick Sincklair on vocals.
Packed to the rafters with high quality deep and soulful house, Gotta Work has a both the US garage style with an edge and the uplifting sound of a modern track. Trev, a producer bringing some of the freshest sounds in broken beat in recent times delivers two versions, both with ultra-deep bass and wonky time signatures.

Kynant EX is a new series for non-dancefloor focused records on hand-stamped vinyl. The first release comes from a legendary UK band, O Yuki Conjugate, who have been making unique experimental music since 1982. The duo have reworked their 2019 album track “Forgotten Summer” into a two-part, 12m45s epic, which starts broken-beat and ends with a five minute beatless sequence. The B-side houses two new tracks, the first is abrasive and full of dread, the second a bass-heavy ambient cut.

Straight from the vaults of one of the most prolific and successful artists in our scene, A Sides brings you three previously unreleased classic tracks to titillate your ear holes! All lovingly sourced and remastered from DAT, this EP includes the never before heard I Know All There Is, and then two follow ups to established classics – a remix of the huge tune “Earthquake” and a part 2 to Alpha 1, called, well, Alpha 2.
