Deviating from the austere brevity that marks Northern Electronics out, Scandinavian Swords IIII: Atlas of Visions completes a survey of the label's confidants and components in the same breath as it introduces a swarm of new artists and genre-collisions. With the swell of the last 12 months behind them, Anthony Linell and Jonas Ronnberg have forged the compilation with a paradoxical formula: Atlas of Visions stakes itself as a milestone release that retains the sure-footed programming of its proprietors yet cuts a new silhouette for what the platform of a Northern Electronics release consists of. Presented across two volumes, Atlas of Visions courses through the hyper-pigmented and infectious fallout zone between club-focused works and the abstract territories of experimental modes. The release compiles egression and intensification into a pandemoniac whole, a refracting design for fractured times. Recommended!!!

In the blistering Los Angeles Summer of 2019, a chance encounter occurred between pals Yu Su and FIO, whilst both dishevelled and on their own separate journeys to overcome immigration bureaucracy. In the midst of filling out forms and enduring long waiting periods (pre pandemic) the pair managed to spend some time in the studio, two afternoons to be exact. The result; YUF-O. Four tracks that comprise of a charming and characteristic blend of both artists' personalities, yet totally unexpected in the best possible way. A mixture of absurd house, blissful ambient, accidental trance and some totally weird and wonderful other stuff.

Not wanting to rest on their laurels, Vertex follow up with a heavyweight double 12” remix package titled 'Changing Seasons'. Featuring 5 reshapes of tracks taken from the original album, they’ve drafted in the highly regarded talents of ASC, G.R.I.T., Mike Schommer, Ohm and Gudmundsson to etch a fresh set of retakes and give the original project a new perspective with a great emphasis on the club environment.

It’s another miraculous collection of works with outstanding drum programming, harmonies, vocal samples, and iconic cover art. This EP is on spot from the first until the very last second with the more laid back, warm chilled track Tapisl to the wild, uplifting track TYPE A. It’s topped off with a remix from Tunnelvisions who have been a fan of the Japanese producer since day one. They stripped the original mix of Tapisl and delivered the perfect club filler.

Cin Cin opens it's 2019 account with the inspired pairing of Joe Goddard and Kiwi.

A production 'tour de force' over the last decade, Joe Goddard has had his fingers in many pies (Hot Chip, The 2 Bears, Greco-Roman Soundsystem to name but a few) but it's on this Cin Cin debut that he bares his solo chops and delivers something for the floor. The darker roots of acid house are channelled on 'Jack Come Back', with a rubbery bassline and churning keys loaded over the vintage drum machine rhythms as the deviant vocal calls out the track title. 'Moebius Trip' takes a headier journey through wave upon wave of melodic modular synthesis and crumpled beats, with a nod to Detroit's techno-soul heritage, whilst packing a punch with the energy levels.

Following his ‘Voyage’ EP on the label last year and his “Endlessly” Single this year, Markus Homm returns to Bondage-Music once again for another stunning release with his unique deep & grooving style. 

Markus Homm constant mingling of styles and histories creates a unique and exciting sound. Markus’s productions and DJ sets bear the traces of his musical evolution, from the uplifting vibes of classic house to the crisp precision of underground techno. „My life is about dancing, grooves, and music,“ he says. „Great music should get you in the mood, without you even realising it. That’s what I want to do.“

Fresh music, beautifully packaged. The emotive vibe of early '90s British IDM and US techno-soul is eminent throughout. From the sensual deepness of the title track or B side cut "Mime" which are reminiscent of classics by the likes of DaRandLand, not to mention the full throttle rework by legend Kirk Degiorgio under the As One moniker on the flip.

11 years after their last EP on Break New Soil, we are psyched to welcome back two very good friends of ours and true heavyweights of the international Techno-community: Extrawelt return to Break New Soil with three magic tracks that once again showcase their versatility and unique artistic approach to making music. "Jetzt Neu: Alles Wie Früher“ is a fresh take on the energy that made us all fall in love with Extrawelt in the first place. Arne and Wayan were not even sure about releasing this belter as they don't want to repeat themselves - but luckily for all of us we could convince them. „Knackfrisch“ comes along fresh as a cucumber: A rhythmic powerhouse full of clever edits and tricks. It seems to constantly accelerate just to make sure it'll win the race against itself. Equipped with a massive kick, funky hihats and smashing percussions it aimes to set dancefloors on fire. Last but not least, „Treuepunkt“ is definitely one for the soul. Deep and driving with syncopated rhythms and lovely synthwork that is topped with a bleepy melody that could come from Detroit rather than from Hamburg. Waiting for another repress

The second release on Antti Salonen's Avoidance label comes from Sansibar who offers a new direction to his already diverse output. Four elegant and colourful tracks gliding through breakbeat, techno and trance.

Second release on the Copenhagen imprint, featuring tracks by DJ IBON, Lund&Ronde and Escaping Tendency, all from the local BunkerBauer crew. The release consists of three fast and trance infused tracks for the floor, and makes a contribution to the current flowering of Copenhagen dance music.

BunkerBauer is a DJ and producer collective, and has been a central institution in the Copenhagen techno scene for several years. All tracks are produced in the BunkerBauer studios which is located in an old bunker from World War 2, in the center of the city.

On the A-side there is Lund&Ronde's rolling hardtrance inspired banger. The B-side contains DJ Ibon's long awaited "White Flag", a melancholic percussion driven techno tune, followed by the wax debut of Escaping Tendency, a more slow and groovy track.

Sascha Dive was last spotted on Bondage-Music earlier this year with the deep hypnotic pulses of ‘Dark Night’ on ‘Bondage Games 5’. So it’s fitting he returns with ‘Detroit Sunrise’ and, as sure as day follows night, it’s every bit as deep, pulsing and hypnotic as you’d expect from the Frankfurt craftsman… 

His first full EP for the Leipzig label, we open with real talk. ‘Detroit Sunrise’ warms up with broad, swinging drums, rippling textures and a crucial spoken word sample every single one of us should consider. It sets the scene for two classic Dive deep adventures as both ‘Dub Chronicles #1’ and ‘Dub Chronicles #2’ both roll out with subtlety and understatement. Layered, absorbing and endless; timeless tools made for those deep mix moments of magic. 

Last but not least, we end on an upbeat. ‘Ghostdancer’ takes more of a sprightly, light-footed note with an upward-spiralling arpeggiated riff, gentle ebb and flow chords and a light peppering of cosmic flurries. Following his beautiful ‘Detroit Sunrise’ EP on the label last year, the inimitable Sascha Dive returns to Bondage Music once again for another deep frequency encounter.

The safe word is bass as Sascha picks up where he left us with two ‘Dub Chronicles’ tracks on the previous release. Now comes the third; a lavish, unhurried exploration ‘Dub Chronicles 3’ lights the fire with hazy, hypnotic charm and a spoken word well known to those familiar with the foundations.

What follows is a trip that grows in intensity and emotions. ‘Cornerstone’ is a beautiful 11pm track; fleet of foot in the kick department and arms aloft in the vibe department. Total elevation. ‘Ancient Tribal Drums’, meanwhile, takes us much deeper into the night. That rolling conga line will tie you up just the way Bondage likes it while the dubby echoes provide sense-tingling relief… Before the finale takes us to even dreamier heights. Tim Tama is back with a four track EP called Phases Of The Tide, which is his first release on his own newly created imprint "Dreamscape Music". In these four tracks, the Dutchman further explores and delivers his signature blend of dream-like melodies coupled with pummeling drums, and occasionally even making use of his electric guitar.

Sintope bosses NTFO return to Bondage-Music to their ‘Esperantza’ EP. Title cut ‘Esperantza’ sees the duo go to work, fusing rolling, crisp percussion with rich sub-bass, before ‘Uppercut’ interjects, unveiling a production packed full of swing, reinforced by robust drum licks, skipping hats and sweeping synths.

On the flip, the first vinyl only cut ‘Lux’ reveals a smooth, stripped back effort, with lush, deep pads floating effortlessly over hazy background textures, whilst the electro influenced ‘Avoid’ closing things out in fine fashion, as trickling lead lines flow amongst and intricate organic percussion patterns across seven minutes.
