For the 3rd release of Anakronik we welcome Andrei Ciubuc, one of the most promising Romanian producers in the past couple of years, who turned over two well-shaped tracks that are different from what you have been used to hear, something elementary in our vision.

Elektro Guzzi combine club music and live performance to a unique, energetic mixture. They overcome the rigid boundary of analog versus digital, unifying the human being with his machines in an unprecedented way and surprising the listener with their innovative productions. Sónar, Roskilde, Melt!, C/O Pop or Mutek are just a few stations among others, where Elektro Guzzi fascinated with their dynamic live show, without the use of computers or loops.

With their new EP - Parade , the first release on German label Denovali, Elektro Guzzi broaden their trinity of drums, bass and e-guitar. With implementing trombones as extra oscillators, dissociating them from their conventional use, the trombones become part of the human-machine-universe and are used as an additional sound source in order to modulate and explore its variety live on the stage.

The four tracks emerged from commissioned work for the Artacts Festival for Jazz and Improvised Music. They move along familiar paths, but also show some new, unusual dimensions of Elektro Guzzi. Opener - Element starts gently, bringing the trombones slowly into appearance, culminating in that driving groove, which whips the melancholic sound of the track. Title track - Parade reveals the new source of inspiration of the Vienna-based trio. From Haitian Rara music, through New Orleans brass bands to Basic Channel dub, Elektro Guzzi create rhythms beyond four-to-floor, with that special, warm vibe, which remains in the ear of the listener.

Recording, mixing and sound design results from a collaboration with sound enthusiast Nik Hummer. The - Parade -EP hypnotizes the listener with its diversity of sounds, with floating and dubby rhythms, situated in a stunning sound aesthetic, in which the feeling of its live performance is conserved.

Pye Corner Audio's acclaimed 2015 album 'Prowler' ('Moody minimal techno throb' - Mojo) has been warped, twisted and reborn as 'Half-Life', the first ever PCA remix album. Featuring 4 new remixes by Clesse, Silent Servant, Cloudface and Not Waving, plus 2 brand new compositions by the Head Technician himself.

The Remixers:

Clesse is Jon Brooks, the mastermind behind The Advisory Circle, Georges Vert and D.D. Denham, as well a member of The Pattern Forms, Hintermass and Woodbines & Spiders. This is Clesse's debut release.

Cloudface has an instantly recognizable style - dreamy, bubbling rhythms supporting hazy melodies, he has released acclaimed records on Mood Hut, Nice Up International and Black Opal.

Silent Servant founded the Jealous God label and is part of the Sandwell District collective and is rightly revered for his brooding industrial-strength techno.

Alessio Natalizia is Not Waving, one half of Walls and the founder of Ecstatic records. Here he provides a suitably avant-garde disco outing.

Three Mannheim based labels will be joining forces to release a 3 part EP showcasing the emerging talent coming from their hometown and community. !

The first vinyl record from Betagamma bears the name of the most extraordinary and fascinating reptile.
It is no coincidence. The imprint is given by both Betagamma's main occupation and his love of minimalism and techno.
Either way, the track references science. A slightly oddish, popping groove... as if someone opened up a terrarium cage.
The record features interesting and crazy remixes, clearly everyone has their own geckos in the attic.

4th EP of the French label Plaisir Records made by their new artist GIASH !!

This episode opens with the main track Perfect Blue, which shows the direction of this EP with his punchy touch. Here, Giash's composition will drive you into several directions inside one track. Welcome on board! Perfect Blue starts with the 1st melodic layer and let the bassline appears little by little like a sunrise. It slowly goes to the transition made by that accumulation of new bleeps and sounds in order to go to the main melody that will stuck into your head.

B side is introduced by Wind up Bird and its own imprint. It's like you felt into Eden's garden surrounded by birds voices and hypnotized by the flute increasing along the track. You won't even feel your smile coming and your eyes shutting down ,)

Fossil Genera ends the release with its classy mood and a slightly hip hop touch, which close perfectly this EP.

* Deepblak's Chief Alchemist AYBEE will release his fourth full-length studio album, 'The Odyssey', in November 2016. As befitting its grand title, this newest long-player finds him concerned with personal journeys: both the personal one that has brought him to this point - living in Berlin, 15 years since founding Deepblak in his native Oakland - and the one that beckons for him personally and creatively in future: AYBEE sees himself as being halfway up a mountain, looking back on where he has come from, and to where he will be headed next - both concepts play a profound role in the emotional textures of the album, which in true Deepblak fashion draws from jazz, deep house, techno, hip hop, blues, experimentation, cinema, space, time and infinity.

* 'The Odyssey' represents a change-up for AYBEE in several ways, forged from a desire to keep expectations at bay and throw something of a curveball for those who felt they had him pegged: "a good pitcher always keeps you off balance". This newest work saw him deliberately limit his sound palette in a creative exercise that challenged him to create a full body of work from a small pre-selected library of sonic elements. While this was restricting in some aspects, the approach to - as he puts it - "throw the ingredients in a basket and cook with it later" gave him more freedom to focus on atmosphere and groove instead of putting hours into trying out different options - "otherwise I'd still be in the studio now trying to work out which hi-hat to use on the third track!"

* While the resulting collection of tracks, bound together in sounds used yet disparate in their applications of them, may represent a more accessible AYBEE album than those prior, it still contains within it the DNA of his work with Deepblak Rhythm Czar, Afrikan Sciences - most notably in their improvised, one-take album length Miles Davis homage 'Sketches of Space'. That 2014 LP was closely followed by another collaboration, with Jerome Sydenham and Ron Trent as S.A.T., released on the former's Ibadan Records and pursuing a more techno-driven sound to the polyrhythmic jazz experimentation of 'Sketches'. Elements of both styles can be found in 'The Odyssey', as it moves through tempos and styles, yet the approach he has taken regarding the sounds used ensures it will forever be a unique work in his discography - quite literally nothing in his work before or since will sound like this record.

* 'The Odyssey''s artwork is by the artist Grzegorz Redko , whose animations of the cover art will be released online ahead of the album release, lending another dimension to AYBEE's latest statement of artistic intent, with many more still to come as he keeps climbing that mountain.

In 2001 Aybee launched Deepblak Recordings as a creative outlet for his music. Ultimately catching the attention of Legendary House DJ/Producer Ron Trent. This chance meeting led to Trent signing Aybee to the iconic Prescription Records imprint. After joining the Prescription family AYBEE, along with Trent, would come together to co-found Prescription sub-label Future Vision, and go on to create music as the "Indigenous Space People", and later as S.A.T.

* "Ron was exposed to my music through a friend of his in NY. At this time, Ron was in the NY phase of his career and was a resident at the iconic "Giant Step" parties. I was heavily inspired by his USG output at the time, and I think it was reflected in my music. I would go out in the city to the house joints and hear all styles, but when that USG/Prescription stuff hit at like 3am, it was another level of depth... it was spiritual. "

Alex Cortex delivering the heat!! Mr Cortex is kicking hard with a direct and mental techno tracks! Oscillon, A1, is a bleepy affair, direct and repetitive, but please, play it loud and watch. Rheometric is in the same alley as Oscillon but bringing the bleeps and glitches trip even more in your face. Combined with the fat but quirky bassline, it does the peak time techno thing extremely well. B1's title "Shear Wave" does the track justice. Backed by a fat downtempo beat, the distorted 303-reminiscent synth line cuts through the mix in a way that's impossible to ignore. Strain Rate Tensor rounds up the previous three cuts, also in a very dancefloor-friendly manner. Bubbly main lead and anxiety-inducing pad sneaking in the background seem to be the main thing, until another synth hits you as a counterpoint and flips everything upside down. Proper no-nonsens stuff!!

UK-based techno producers Deepbass & Nax_Acid team up for a special 12" collaboration on the Planet Rhythm LTD imprint. Their three-tracker 'Illustrated Machinery EP' showcases the deeper techno sound in its widest range.

Senso Sounds drop a major release from techno heavyweight Dubfire and label boss Oliver Huntemann. Reuniting the partnership that has seen a string of seminal releases over the years in the form of their 'Elements' series, 'Humano' is the 2nd part of a continuation of this series - more weapons of grade dance-floor material from the high profile duo. Later on this year their partnership will be summarized in their 'Restrospectivo' album. Former Deep Dish man Dubfire's uncanny knowledge of how to create epic dance-floor moments is in full effect, combined with Huntemann's precision tool production techniques on the original version of the title track. The result is a super tough, tight and incalculably driving slice of techno goodness that will ignite floors worldwide. The rest of the EP manages to maintain the pressure - with a set of sick remixes from Victor Ruiz, Hatzler and Shaded. Ruiz, the Brazilian techno pioneer adds another level of fire to the original, tweaking and refining the track into a damager that pushes everything to 11 and hits home with every play. Hatzler, the Hamburg based German DJ/producer chooses a different direction - emphasizing more of the space in the original. Rinsing the tension to the next level, look out for the epic middle section break down. The whole package is primed to destroy clubs far and wide - techno at its most effective. Shaded's Summer Skin remix also delivers a tightly wound interpretation, with a bubbling bass line and nervous, excited groove providing the fuel for an extended dancefloor excursion.

Daze Maxim adds another episode to his practice of long-form explorations, on this his second release for Lisbon's Assemble Music. This time he's joined by a master in this field, Baby Ford, whose remixes over the past few years continue his own distinctive development of extended minimal house trips.
Daze's 'Beginning An Ending' rides a skippy, loose beat for several minutes, the snares and hats gradually opening up as wordless vocalizations exclaim and interject with increasing regularity, the bass bumping contentedly underneath. Pads join the equation for an intricate midsection - evoking memories of Alcachofa-era happy experimentalism that nonetheless fit within Daze Maxim's disciplined and dancefloor-oriented approach.
Peter Ford recasts the original into his now unmistakable soundspace, where the push and pull between front-and-centre rhythmic components and evanescent background atmospherics creates that recognizable but undefinable sense of emotion, felt but unexplained. In Ford's world there isn't anything as simple as a beginning or an end, so the remix provides a valuable counterpoint to the original. Given their now impressive track record, it's no surprise that Assemble Music has pulled off another cohesive statement that works equally on the body and the mind.

six d.o.g.s records' third release under the Gilda - contemporary, club-oriented electronic music - series, is Anestie Gomez's 'Self Report' EP.

Born and raised in Athens, Greece, Anestie grew up to become a DJs' DJ, six d.o.g.s resident and founding member of well known Athenian Booking agency/party collective Revolt!.

His 12'' debut features four tracks of forward thinking, minimal house music showcasing Anestie's love of artists such as Zip, Rhadoo and Ricardo Villalobos and his reinterpretation of their sound.

Side A consists of 'Low Flying Methods' and 'Gutta Percha', both true testaments of Anestie's ability to bridge his inclination to produce unconventional deep house music with his desire to please demanding crowds on the dancefloor.

'Certified Tourism' on Side B is quirky micro house at its best, well crafted grooves accompanied by the mood setting vocals of Soul Mekanik's 'C'est Robotique' whereas 'Senor Mirijasz' takes us on a mysterious path of hazy, jazz fueled electronics and the secret hope of never ending bliss.

After remixing Idriss D's Alger', Eduardo De La Calle returns to Memento Records with a 2 tracker. The Spanish vinyl maestro, Analog Solutions label owner and Beatz documentary maker delivers 2 majestic cuts of Deep Techno at its best, inspired by the early Ricardo Villalobos music released on Kanzleramt or Playhouse some 15 years ago.
Following the same ideas of building and de-constructing sound patterns made up of pure Minimal elements, Eduardo here tries to be as simple as he can: direct and repetitive, back and forth non stop compositions that take on a life of their own as they expand and contract. The EP was made in a week of intense and mesmerizing studio work.
Die Einfuhrung' is a 10 minute number where Korg Poly 61 arpeggios and spellbinding melodies draw the listener down a psychedelic hole of frequency shiftings and lysergic percussions. Sonst Werden' is built around hazy chords and ghostly vocal snippets soaked in a feedback of tape delay, sinister ambient sounds vibrating in the background.

Following releases from Kreon and Lemos, Equivalence returns for its third record with the jazz-infused crossover sound of Glacial. George Laimos (aka Lemos) and Ilan Manouach have spent years crafting a style that combines sultry live instrumentation with subtle electronics in a unique yet natural meeting point between tradition and innovation. In 2012 they released their defining moment to date, a long player on the Welcome To Masomenos helmed Hotel Costes series, while more recently they appeared on Six D.O.G.S with the Entropy E.P.

Opening this latest offering from the pair, 'Hardcore Lounge' is a defining track for the concept of Glacial, characterised by Manouach's smoky horn tones calling out over a bed of intricate percussion and found sounds that capture the mood of a dimly lit speakeasy in a strange part of town.

By way of contrast 'Byron's Groove' lets the drums take the lead, laying down a delicate and expressive house groove with tribal undertones. The details and dynamics of the track build with a patient focus, creating an immersive atmosphere populated with alien frequencies.

The 'Dub Mix' of 'Hardcore Lounge' completes the EP with a lopsided groove that nags at the brain while appealing to the body, pushing another tightly wound array of rhythmic elements that rub up against organic scrapes and shuffles in a most distinctive abstraction of contemporary dance music.

With its fusion of human and electronic soul, this latest transmission from Glacial further establishes the duo as an exciting force within the more experimental corners of the house and techno community, paying respect to the music of the past while reaching forwards into previously unexplored territory.

For this first vinyl release of 2016 we have the big pleasure to bring you a great three track release called Manipulation EP by nothing else than Pablo Inzunza. The first track called Manipulation is a more than great tech house piece, with several arrangements on the base, where the rhythmic elements takes over letting us appreciate the perfect blend of several percussion layers working together with a superb production quality, and also creating alongside the solid bass line an extremely danceable club track with an amazing groove and party vibe. The second track, Arial Black, has a much more darker and techno vibe than the previous one with a very simple but effective groove created by a minimalistic base and subtle ambience elements, which helps create this almost hypnotic vibe. But it's not all darkness, about three minutes after the start we can start appreciating some deep synth stabs playing around with a filter and saturation to give a warmer touch to this fantastic track and closing the idea perfectly with a melodic touch. The last of the three tracks is Overcast, which presents a continuous string bass, which generates an intricate groove that stars softly with base elements only, until the vocals starts to appear, mainly during the break, and of course they get perfectly complemented with all sort of crazy elements from percussions to synths that creates a super interesting articulation between all the elements, giving order to the complexity of the production process. For sure this is a more than amazing release with three different pieces for several moments of the night.

The 5th release on wax for Karton Label. The Amsterdam-based Ferro comes with "8 Or 9", fellow dutchman B.M.U. on his first release ever with the hypnotizing "Fog" and from Germany and for the first time on Karton comes Daniel Madlung with "Vawpol".

In 2016, the Festival in Prora releases another Vinyl, and this time it is a real tasty tidbit. The boys from Kiel, Mitja & Daniel Mes, who also played at this year's festival, included their Track "Feel Free" on the record. This track is the beach-echo and a perfect medicine against the winter blues. The second track originates straight from the Island Rügen, produced by the well-known Irie Island Crew and holds the name "Rügen Rockt". The name speaks for itself and through the well harmonized dub-swing Reggae Vibes be sure to be grooved from north to south of the small Island. The backside of the Vinyl is a piece of handcrafted art. The very distinct Tag am Meer logo is engraved through the help of a special technique called: Etched. This record does not only sound good, but it also looks amazing

Valioso015, refreshing sound from our friend and talented artists called Sithòu. Joining the Valioso family in 2015, his track "Baequm" on our Valioso & friends VA was already a little preview regarding his skills in productions.
Sithou delivers a solid two tracker, starting with "Oso" a very special track consisting an impressive guitar as the main motif. Taking a look on "Delia" including a memorable vocal and an hypnotic atmosphere, LIZZ reshaped this tune into a beauty with musical influences from his romanian heritage.

'With this compilation Aarhus-label Help Recordings presents a selection of electronic music, giving it the self-evident title 'Relevant Material'. On the first face, an uncredited weird intro is followed by two tracks from two debutants. The lofi energy of Brooklyn-based Love Letters is followed by a new-and-classical house-sound from SPORTS; the younger brother of the two label-heads. On the flipside older brother Central, who recently appeared on the the neighbour-label Nord Records, shows his calmer and more melodic side. The local group Lester, who did the first tape on the label, deliver a playful jam; a groovy exploration of machine dance music. The final grooves of the compilation reveal another uncredited sportive track.'

For this edition we are very happy to bring a fantastic collaboration between Aldo Cadiz & Toby Holguin, both Bad Barbie Records owners, who delivered their Curve Out EP including three fantastic tracks for our next vinyl release. The first track Curve Out presents a great base with break arrangement full of drums fills and they blend perfectly with the superb atmosphere created by the flute in the background, which generates a great ambience with its soft melody and it also gets complemented by the low stings sounds later ahead. A great hypnotic and organic groove indeed. The second track De Acero, presents a techier base and bass line than the previous one, yet it still has very present the organic elements that creates the melody and pad sounds, which also are the ones who drive the track through. Los Zompe, the third one, we can say is the deeper one mainly for its minimalistic arrangement in the base and soft bass line, yet it also presents a great amount of delicate articulations between organic and tribal elements that all together creates a magnificent and almost hypnotic vibe, also revealing the great amount of work and love dedicated to the track. For sure a slightly different art piece ep that will certainly caught the attention of many.

Sophisticated minimalism was always a core feat of ALEX UNDER's portfolio, with the Spanish producer also serving as the founder and label manager for much-acclaimed techno label CMYK Musik. After releases on iconic imprints such as Trapez, Soma or Plus 8, the Madrilenian - one of the most sought-after electronic artists in Spain - now presents OLAS DE QUILA QUINA, his very first outing for Kompakt. Three slick, enticing cuts show him comitted to rolling basslines, rising synths and snappy percussion, all embedded in the futuristic sound design Alex has been honing over the course of his career. Unfolding to the backdrop of brooding metallic drones, the title track only needs a handful of carefully processed sounds to tell a highly evocative story - a focussed, geometrical jam that nonetheless allows for freewheeling outbursts of creativity. The same can be said for the punching, asymmetrical acid of EL REFLEJO DEL LACAR and the full-bodied bass bounce of LOLOG, as both cuts juxtapose sharp-edged shards of electronic texture with chewy, melodic synths. Tension-filled and catchy, it's a masterful update on ALEX UNDER's unique approach to techno, bold and subtle at the same time.

Nach Releases für legendäre Marken wie Trapez, Soma oder Plus 8 präsentiert der Mann aus Madrid - einer der begehrtesten elektronischen Künstler Spaniens - OLAS DE QUILA QUINA, seine allererste Veröffentlichung auf Kompakt. Drei smarte, verlockende Tracks zeigen ihn inmitten rollender Bassläufe, erhabener Synthies und zackiger Percussion, alle im futuristischen Klanggewand eingebettet, welches Alex schon eine ganze Karriere lang verfeinert hat. Vor dem Hintergrund von düster-metallischem Rauschen entfaltet sich der Titeltrack mit nur einer Handvoll sorgsam prozessierter Sounds zu einer höchst atmosphärischen Erzählung - ein fokussierter, geometrisch klingender Jam, der dennoch Raum für freigeistige Kreativausbrüche bietet. Ähnliches ließe sich vom zupackenden, asymmetrischen Acid von EL REFLEJO DEL LACAR und dem vollmundigen Bass-Schwung von LOLOG behaupten, da beide Aufnahmen scharfkantige elektronische Texturen mit bissfesten, melodischen Synthesizern konterkarieren. My Favorite Robot/Cocoon mainstays Villanova ramp up for their first release on OFFwith two original tracks and an appearance by raw tech aficionado Echonomist on remix duty. The French duo stray from their prevailing blend of sensual house, crafting a darker aesthetic fit for the label's newfound coordinates.

First up is Control, a restrained yet uplifting cut. The steady beat and pulsating bassline are kept at bay, creating a tense yet solid atmosphere. Polyphonic synths interlaced with metallic ricochets are key condiments that make their presence on the second track as well.

Divago sets off with techtronic synths and accelerating beats, gradually ascending and building up tension throughout the entire track. The relieving peak point is thus replaced by an exhilarating hands-in-the-air' moment of maximum impact.

Echonomist's take on Divago is straightforward from the kickoff. Sectioning off original elements, and keeping the focus on bassline and percussion, the cut is reconstructed into an
unrelenting late-night groove. The producer manages to imprint his biting style of thumping dark tech, in a rework that perfectly complements the inital composition.

The second serving from Schmorgasbord brings together two relatively disparate and unrelated artists, but who both share a uniquely twisted approach to making music. S-Max has been doing his thing for some time, running legendary home all things bizarre in house and techno, Boogizm, and releasing a special kind of groove on labels such as Telegraph, 7th City and Karloff. His original track, 'Ms. Rosen Dub', swaggers and sways with the spirit of classic Yorkshire bleeps and bass. The groove is house, but the spirit of adventure is most definitely techno. His remix of Spatial's 'Corti' takes a very different approach, taking a rolling, jungle-like approach to dubstep and nailing it to the groove with stabbing bass notes. Spatial leapt onto the bass music radar late 2008 with his shadowy Infrasonics imprint, and quickly snapped heads with his crisp, refined approach to 2-step rhythms. Since then he's done things on his own terms, only releasing for himself and mutating his sound over a series of 10's. 'Corti' perfectly demonstrates Spatials unconventional tendencies, lurching and buckling around a perfectly honed splatter of beats, off-centre synths and delirious vocal snippets. Meanwhile on his remix of S-Max, Spatial flips the script once again with a stomping, swung techno angle that hammers the original into an uptempo, fist-pumping banger.

This is something where you get appetite for closing your eyes and take a journey to a dreamland. Minimal fiddly sound, tech-house with a high ratio of tribal and world influence build a fascinating symbiosis of sound. Benn Finn take us to a trip far away from commercial impacts.
