Im Fall der Geschwister Lysann und Gunnar Zander haben wir jedoch alle Zweifel über Bord geworfen. Mitnichten ins kalte Wasser, denn die beiden musizieren schon ihre ganzes Leben zusammen - handgemacht oder elektronisch, in den Tiefen des Soul und Jazz oder den Breiten des Dancefloors. Stereofysh sind Wechselspiel und Kompromiss, Gegenpol und Einigkeit im kreativen Duo, weil sie auch einzeln als Musiker überzeugen können.
Ihre Live-Performance gibt dem Hörenden die Möglichkeit, Teil der Familienangelegenheit zu werden. Lysann ist dabei natürliches Bindeglied zwischen Bühne und Publikum, als Sängerin ohne künstliche Distanz, verspielt im Ausdruck der Musik. Gunnar bleibt zunächst im Hintergrund, bedient die Elektronik. Und dann - im Laufe eines Konzerts im ständigen gegenseitigen Verständnis mit seiner Schwester dem Geschehen auf und vor der Bühne völlig zugewandt. So macht Zuschauen, Zuhören, Tanzen Spaß.
Stereofysh zeigen uns mit ihrer Debüt-EP wie eine Mixtur aus House, Dub, Jazz, Pop und Soul klingen darf. Nämlich schön. Verschieden. Referenz und frisches Original zugleich. Nicht umsonst hat Jazz-Pianist-Legende Brad Mehldau sein persönliches Einverständnis zur Verwendung seines Samples gegeben ('Mehlgrau').

We always treat family affairs with greatest care. You just don't know where this all ends ....most likely in shaking your head in disbelief.
Yet, In the case of siblings Lysann and Gunnar Zander we have thrown all doubts overboard. By no means in at the deep end given that both of them have been making music together their whole lives: acoustic, electronic, in the depths of soul and jazz, or in the wide world of the dance floor.
Stereofysh are interplay and compromise, counter pole and unity; creative duo because they also make music independently.
Their live performance allows the audience to become part of their family affairs. Lysann connects occurrences on- and off-stage without artificial distance, playful in the expression of their music. Gunnar, initially in the background, works the clickety-clacks until—in the course of their show and in mutual connection with his sister—he too comes to the fore and gets in close touch with the audience. This is how listening, watching, and dancing becomes the most fun.
With their debut EP, Stereofysh offer a piece of music that sounds like a mixture of house, dub, jazz, and pop may sound: beautiful and different, familiar and original at the same time. Not for nothing did jazz-pianist-legend Brad Mehldau give his personal consent to Stereofysh sampling his music (- Mehlgrau').

The rhythm of YHA NETH is as menacing and as dangerous as drummers drumming with
sticks of live dynamite with a very short fuse. Fortunately this track is also blessed with a
mature undulating throb and a groovy baseline worth the name, which attempts, as heroes
usually insist on doing, to save the day. Fat melodies and grave voices counter pulsate be-
tween each beat, creating friction & sparks which could, at any minute, ignite the fuses and
blow all to Hell and Kingdom come. Tension is masterfully controlled at it's tightest. Sirens,
wailing warning all to get to the nearest bomb-shelter to take cover — but the dancers,
mesmerized, are incapable of moving away from the dangers of the dance-floor to safety.


Thomas T & Anish - YHA NETH - Kane Roth — REMIX
Kane Roth has been producing since 2006 and is, without doubt, currently one of the most
fructiferous artists in France. This somewhat masculine remix of YHA NETH is powerful, per-
cussive and assertive. The massive relentlessness in the baseline is not only uncompromising
but unapologetic to beat and reveals handsome traits such as ambition, pride, honor, com-
petitiveness and a sense of adventure — perfect pheromones to drive anyone into a dance
floor frenzy. So valiant is the track that, in fact, if one doesn't pay close attention to the
dainty, tell-tale signs, one will be willfully tricked into imagining that this creative artist actu-
ally has a beard , hairy chest and and a baritone voice. Binary gender trickery I warn! With-
out the intricate soundscapes embroidered into the silky melody, one would never have
doubted that Kane Roth is a she! As curvy, and sexy a she as can be, her 'ballsy," no-
nonsense attitude exudes confidence... what more could a frenzied dance floor want

HOMME is like a fiercely growling fauve, as free and wild as only big cats can get. Ready to
hiss, spit and scratch. Thomas T & Anish first unleash this nasty beast and then duly set out
to artfully tame the savage, unruly reverberation. Never using a whip to beat rhythm into the
animal, they adopt a more subtle, elegant manner of hypnotizing it with a sexy, sensually
mesmerizing voice. Slowly but surely they entice the reverb to lessen into a mere echo which
finally ebbs gracefully away into the faintest of vibrations.The growls, as regular as a metro-
nome, give way to a deep and sonorous purring. A groovy, almost sloppy baseline underlines
organic warmth and well being. The once-tiger-now-kitty-cat greets you at the door and de-
mands a pat and scratch.

Thomas T & Anish - HOMME - Luca Torre - REMIX
Samuel Severino aka Luca Torre, the prodigal son, has mastered a minimally elegant yet
subtle twist to Thomas T & Anish's HOMME, rendering it sonorously slow and lazy at first.
The surprise is in the sudden change of cadence, a note of urgency is painstakingly crafted
into each element, expertly transforming the atmosphere, as if pressure was being applied
(to the pure delight of the enchanted dance floor). As the track evolves, the hypnotic voices
which seemed lighter and airier also take on a more insistent tonality. Dark piano notes
which appear to be scattered nonchalantly here and there, succeed wonderfully in holding
the melody together ever so loosely actually weave the track into one.

With each beat, every snare and bassline, André Galluzzi is fascinating mind, body and soul. Similar to his live-sets the debut album has a captivating conceptual build, gaining speed and intensity steadily, and turning the world upside down for a moment. Alcatraz' delivers a colourful and multifaceted blend of driving grooves and hypnotic beat-combinations, where Galluzzi drapes his listeners in distinctive analog warmth. Inspired by occult sounds and psychedelic vocals, the album floats easily through the Technocosmos, overleaping stylistic boundaries and returning just as swiftly to its starting point.
