Ground Loop's 'Ampersand (i)' is a release exploring contemporary Techno by some of Techno's best contemporaries. The original fuses 'old school' ideals with modern production techniques to create a floor friendly, groove oriented track that manages to maintain a sense of purpose and emotion.

Das Side Projekt aus den beiden separaten Acts "Arts & Leni" und "Wolfgang Lohr" geht in die zweite Runde. Nach ihrer Debüt EP, im Oktober 2012 auf dem Berliner Label Ostfunk, folgt nun das zweite Release bei Ton Liebt Klang (Hamburg). Herausgekommen sind nach akribischer Frickelei zwei Tech House / Minimal Nummern mit dominanten Basslines und sehr lässigem Groove, für den tanzbaren Bereich auf der Clubwiese. Mit dem Einsatz von analoger Hardware, sämtlicher Souveränität beider Künstler und einer ausgefeilten eigenen Stilistik, ist das Ergebnis eine gesunde musikalische Mischung aus dem sich perfekt ergänzenden Duo!

Für den Remix von "Take This Back" wurde Fernando Tessis (Brasilien), Labelhead bei Kombo Records, ins Boot geholt. Mit seiner Interpretation ist eine druckvolle und ebenfalls sehr tanzbare, alternative Version kreiert worden, deren Coolness ihresgleichen sucht!

The Chosen Two (Berlin) haben mit dem Remix zu "Red Curson" mal wieder ihre Remix-Qualitäten unter Beweis gestellt und eine ganz eigene aber authentische Aufarbeitung, mit starker Bassline, zurecht geschustert. Sind aber bei ihren Leisten geblieben und ergänzen die Veröffentlichung zu einem runden Erlebnis und Ergebnis für den Verlegebereich im dampfenden Club!

The two Kling Klong CEOs Martin Eyerer & Rainer Weichhold are very proud and happy to announce the first original US-artist on their label. The label of the confidence in things experiment-joyful funkyness, presents a debut of the completely special mood. Welcome Irisfog in the world of the noble music preservation. Lukas Rabe & Niklas Kraft are together Irisfog. The two bustling musicians and sound nerd originate from Leipzig. There they are com- mitted in different projects & volume from noise to jazz. Therefore blows also the wind of influences, which besides with hearing habits from abstract to orchestral and herbaceous are combined. Niklas Kraft trades under the name of besides under the name Talski. Its publications on the Vinyl only label Rivulet can convince dancers and lovers at the same time into a basin of full deepness bathing to go together. Deep one is here also in all four pieces more than trump. Here nothing is only no way sunrise or sunset, here the fog cannon is started up there, all the same whether she seems or not. However, where much fog is, it becomes also repeatedly sunny. In the heart above all, because the music of Irisfog also comes there. You can say in addition, it is out that belly music in a jam character with all kinds of synths, microphones, various devices and samples. There are four songs for the dark side of life, without going so far as to speak of darkroom techno. Listen for yourself...

With a new label and a new EP we're beginning to unravel the new stage in Nathan Fake's musical development. Following a departure from Border Community, Nathan Fake and former associate of Border Community Wesley Matsel have together formed a new co-operative 'Cambria Instruments', which sets to highlight the eccentricities of both producers; or as Fake describes, "new esoteric melodies and textures previously unheard from both artistsî. 'Black Drift', the inaugural transmission from C.I. demonstrated the kind of broken beats heard on 'Steam Days' and hinted towards a utilitarian sound aimed directly at the dancefloor.

Just as 'Black Drift' hinted towards a contemporary sound pallette, 'Glaive EP' confirms that Fake is on the outside looking in, "I've been listening to more music than usual lately, just trawling the internet for weird stuff. I usually shut myself off from most current things when I'm working on a record". Fake however doesn't want to feed the demand for club conventions and cliches, instead he creates tracks to progress his ever expanding live set, creating new edits and tracks on stage, while pulling material from his previous releases. "I'm trying to make the live versions sound pretty different to the recorded versions, I'll redraw a synth part or make some new beats."

To complete such a feat you'd imagine an array of cutting edge equipment surrounding a glowing silver laptop, but the reality is quite the opposite: "I've always been totally turned off by the idea of owning expensive/high-end equipment..". At home Fake's persistence to push his rudimentary equipment to the extreme continues. "Glaive was started with a couple of kick drum sounds I'd made on the SH-09. I've always loved the idea of using quite 'crap' sounds and putting them in the context of a proper track".

Once the sounds are accumulated Fake records his performance on the fly in a similar setup to his live performance, giving 'Glaive EP' its unconventional structure and forward momentum. Just as his live performances feed off his released material, the disciplines learned on stage feedback into his recordings, creating an internal loop that allows Nathan Fake to ignore the ever accumulating divisions in electronic music. Whereas other electronic artists focus their attention on subverting the latest trend, Fake chooses to observe and then ignore conventions, releasing EPs like Glaive that are singular and striking from just about any perspective.

After his surpise summerhit 2013 'Finder', Ninetoes started touring the world, did some remixes and moved from Stuttgart to Berlin where he found the right inspiration for his next single 'Escape'. Just have a listen, a great bassline can make wonders so this looks like another big track coming your way. Klas Lindblad, tha man known as Sasse to many, delivers his 2nd EP "Flushing Meadows" for the STBB label from Germany.
Original Mix, clocking at nearly 12 minutes, starts calmly and soon translates into a modulated bass groover before making space for the italo inspired main theme.
Mark E delivers a slow-tech burner with big bump to move any floor.
Finally label maker Alberto Sabatini takes Flushing Meadows on a lenghty trip to Rimini a la 1987, putting his 707 and Jupiter 8 into a good use.

Sometimes you need to lose your mind, to regain your musical soul. For Berlin DJ/producer Daniel Steinberg, an intense touring period in the wake the releasing of his debut album 'Shut Up' warranted just that. Suffering from a heavy tour comedown and questioning the direction of not just his music, but his ongoing desire to continue as a globetrotting artist, he locked himself in his East Berlin studio for a nine-day period of self-imposed exile that ultimately laid the foundations for his latest opus, 'Treptow'. For the nine days I didn't speak to a soul except for the pizza delivery guy and completely lost my mind (in the best possible way) listening to some very obscure experimental music from the likes of Ron Geesin, Mark Shreeve and Trevor Wishart. This time acted as the reset button that inspired me to produce 'Treptow', he tells. Long-lauded by Jesse Rose who signed him to his Front Room Recordings label and the likes of Richie Hawtin, Ricardo Villalobos, Luciano and Claude Vonstroke who've supported his tunes, 'Treptow' speaks of a producer enjoying a deep vein of inspiration. Over fourteen tracks he has crafted a longplayer filled-to-the-brim with rich, personality-laden electronic music, that's indicative of not just the breadth of his production palette, but his passion and commitments to creating colourful dance music with genuine soul and feeling.

Sev Dah makes his debut on Komisch with three unique club tracks. The mysterious producer has been making waves with releases on Naked Index and Gynoid, but he has reserved his most individualistic music for Komisch.
Lead track 'Otit' revolves around a surging, powerful bass and subtle metallic percussion. It's a prelude for a doomy synth line that gives the track an intangibly eerie feeling.
On the flip, 'Disciple' is led by heavy claps and a more stepping rhythm, but the lunging bass and eerie synths ensure that it'll have maximum impact in a club.
'Tension' also travels a less obvious route thanks to its offbeat rhythm. But its beats are stomping and the dark, churning filter, coupled with Sev Dah's haunting synths, means it's getting support acoss the board.

"Black Hawk" is the first single from the third album by Lebensfreude Records chief Gunne. Produced with Berlin beat bohemian Zuckermann and Wareika vocalist Florian Schirmacher, Gunne goes where no one has gone before. Consequently the track meanders between melancholic House and expressive Pop, while Florians structuring vocals provide a uniquely ensouled catchiness. Gunne & Zuckermann were never better and rarely was Florian more convincing. Class! The two remixes are very different in nature. Toby Dreher aims at the dark, sweaty club floor, while Ruede Hagelstein is dancing in a corn field dreamingly welcoming a fine summer morning. Yeah!

Felipe Venegas is a leading light from the new generation of Chilean artists who have confidently stepped out of the shadows cast by those who first brought their nations electronic sound to the shores of Europe. Never blind to the power of the groove, Venegas' productions always take aim at the feet, hips and mind, never failing to converting even the most passive listener into a dancer. Having featured his music on a glittering array of labels Felipe today steps up with his first for Serkal and joins forces with his great friend, Columbian producer Pablo Cahn, the London-based artist who has already made waves with his debut releases for 8Bit and Cadenza.

Whilst the percussive, funk-fuelled heat of lead track Guaita stands alone, B side One Year comes backed by a bouncing, bass-heavy strut of a mix from ever-on-point Mr Julien Chaptal.

BUTCH RETURNS TO DESOLAT THIS OCTOBER For a long time now, Butch has been regarded as one of the most versatile producers in electronic music and his releases across a range of different labels including Sei es Drum, Cocoon, Rekids and Visionquest reflect this. Equally adept at making peak time records as he is at delivering deep and weird tracks, Butch's productions always have a distinct and particular character to them. After making his Desolat debut on the 'FTS EP' back in May 2013, Butch returns this October with four shadowy mechanical mutations. Both 'LFO' and 'Sphere' are formidable techno assaults which contains an array of dystopian beeps and blips. On 'Delusion' Butch takes a beautifully hypnotic and psychedelic approach, with a distinctive woodwind sound meandering throughout the track. One for the early hours. 'Tone 2.0 rounds off the EP in a similarly dark vein with, full of flickering electronic tones and drum rolls. The 'Sinus Tones & 808s EP' is even better than you would expect from Butch. Staying true to its name, this release will appeal to those who are in need of some killer explorations of dark leftfield sounds done with that unique Butch charm.
