But if the first CASTLEVANIA soundtrack was like a band's debut garage album, SUPER CASTLEVANIA IV is where they finally got into a major recording studio and fully fleshed out their sonic ambitions.

The Super Nintendo's sound chip brought the franchise into the world of synth for the first time. It allowed Konami's composers to use audio samples to achieve an instrumentation previously unattainable on earlier systems. From the moment SUPER CASTLEVANIA IV begins you can hear the difference, with synthesized samples of organs and chiming bells, that set a more cinematic tone for Simon's quest to fell the devil's castle.

REWIND THIS! is a must-see documentary about the home video boom of the 1980s and the tape collectors obsessing, preserving and cataloguing the format today. Josh Freda's incredible synth score perfectly captures all aspects of '80s videotape culture, an album full of music recalling cheesy action synth riffs, moody horror stings and neon drenched night time radios. This isn't some hollow retro futuristic re-tread of the '80s, though, as Freda manages to inject so much personality and playfulness into his music that even through the barrage of synths in play it sounds ultra contemporary and very human indeed. Includes the lo-fi punk gem 'Head Cleaner' by Joey Division as a bonus track, and the artwork is by the kickass Hollis Brown Thornton that we have been wanting to work with for an age.

Hinter dem Valve Studio Orchestra verbergen sich Jason Hayes und Tim Larkin, die für die Spielschmiede von Team Fortress arbeiten. Als Dirigent ist Timothy Williams tätig, der den Score mit der Northwest Sinfonia eingespielt hat. Concord & USM are excited to announce the multi-format vinyl reissue of one of the greatest soundtracks in cinematic history, the score to Raiders of the Lost Ark, coming on 180-gram heavyweight black vinyl August 11th 2017. Composed by John Williams, the score for Raiders of the Lost Ark was the only score in the series performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, the same orchestra that performed the scores for the Star Wars saga. Alan Silvestri's masterful score to Predator has been one of the most sought-after action film soundtracks of all time, sparking no less than three limited-edition CD releases that all successively sold out in short order. And it's little wonder, fresh from back-to-back triumphs with Romancing the Stone and Back to the Future, Silvestri employs a full orchestra, occasional, deft electronic touches, and—most of all—bruising percussion to fashion a score every bit as muscular and hard-hitting as the film itself. Among the truly inspired touches are the eerie, descending strings as the Predator descends to earth, the propulsive military march that introduces the commando team, and the simple trumpet fanfare in He's My Friend' that laments the loss of a fallen comrade. Vertigo is a 1958 American film noir psychological thriller film directed and produced by Alfred Hitchcock. The story was based on the 1954 novel D'entre les morts (From Among the Dead) by Boileau-Narcejac. The film was shot on location in San Francisco, California, and at Paramount Studios in Hollywood. It is the first film to use the dolly zoom, an in-camera effect that distorts perspective to create disorientation, to convey Scottie's acrophobia. As a result of its use in this film, the effect is often referred to as the Vertigo effect'. Vertigo received mixed reviews upon initial release, but is now often cited as a classic Hitchcock film and one of the defining works of his career.

A Pure Formality (Italian: Una pura formalità) is a 1994 Italian-French drama thriller film co-written and directed by Giuseppe Tornatore. It stars Gérard Depardieu as a reclusive writer and Roman Polanski as a police detective. A Pure Formality was nominated for a Golden Palm at the 1994 Cannes Film Festival and received a David di Donatello for Best Production Design.

Several films are inspired by A Pure Formality's idea of the mystery of the living versus the dead. The best example is The Sixth Sense', another is The Others'. Ennio Morricone (10 November 1928) composed and arranged the score of the movie. He has made scores and soundtracks for more than 500 film and television productions, making him one of the most influential and
best-selling film composers since the late 1950s.

Originally titled FEBRUARY, Osgood Perkins' debut film was a festival hit in 2015 and has now been picked up for wider distribution by A24 under a new title, THE BLACKCOAT'S DAUGHTER. Alien: Covenant is a science fiction horror film directed by Ridley Scott (Alien, Blade Runner, Gladiator) which stars Michael Fassbender and Katherine Waterston. The wonderfully quirky melodic score and songs from one of Hollywood's great composers harks back to Edward Scissorhands, Burtons' and Elfman's most personal work, and is a return to the composer's vintage' sound from the late 1980s and early 1990s.
