Veteran Swedish Techno artist Joel Mull revisits one of his earliest aliases as Damm for an album of after-hours inspired morning portraits on A Strangely Isolated Place. Simple observations can set many complex ideas in motion and it was the view from Joel's window that pushed him to create an album inspired by majestic cloud formations and Mother Nature's finest hour. 'Nautical dawn' occurs when the Sun is 12 degrees below the horizon, where the colors, clouds, sounds and atmosphere become an ever-changing spectacle. This phenomenon is reflected through the albums eleven shifting styles and moods; from field recordings and introspective synthesizer melodies, to more upbeat, glittering electronica and head-nod inducing ambient techno. Ten years in the making, the album's variety and depth developed alongside Joel's impromptu production sessions - be it at home in the early hours, or further window-watching on trains across Europe. What evolved as sketches in a variety of styles, soon started to form a narrative similar to his infamous DJ sets; moving seamlessly through chapters, feelings and colors, capturing Joel's passion for all aspects of electronic music. This is a soundtrack for friends watching the sun rise once more, first thing in the morning, or last thing at night.

'Dusk/Grey Skies (i)' features two tracks recorded by Glasgow-based artist Daniel Magee during the coronavirus lockdowns of 2020. They mark an evolution in production sound for the Lo Kindre project and can be interpreted as a meditation on the events that are transpiring globally at the moment.

'Dusk' is a slow-building journey soundtracking walks through empty city streets as night falls. Sombre modulating pads underlie a slow and sparse drum machine and bass combination, leaving space for explorative, rhythmic and longing synth melodies to interplay overhead. In 'Grey Skies (i)' we’re lead straight into trance induction, swirling modulating pads returning, echoing over a dub bassline, droning synth and minimal drum machine. Once again the melodies perforate the foreground, this time echoing out into the haze and taking you further under.

Born as the score's main theme of a contemporary dance piece, premiered in 2017 in Torino by the joint collaboration between C2C and Torinodanza Festival, Bienoise's 'To Be Banned From Rome' finally sees the light of the day marking the first release of C2C Festival brand new music label. Recurring soundtrack of the Turinese festival's main events as changeovers' music, 'To Be Banned From Rome' is an instant classic: a vivid dive into the live experience under the roof of Lingotto.
Teacher, co-founder of the radical improvisation label Floating Forest Records and music producer, Bienoise (real name: Alberto Ricca) mixes contemplative atmospheres and futuristic club sounds in his sonics, forged by his deep fetishism for instruments pushed to their limits and his interest in new internet genres, including memetic anthems and invisible niches.
The release is part of Stone Island Sound project.

The Drip EP brings together four distinctive producers and one set of sounds - The Drips. The result is a compilation of 4 tracks that bring the swing and sampling of some of Accidental Jnr's finest to produce a soaking wet dancefloor.

First up is label boss Matthew Herbert with a trademark groove that harks back to his Wishmountain moniker albeit found lurking in the swamp. Cosmo Sheldrake takes a slight departure from his usual multi-instrumentaling live-looping avant-folk to deliver a track that could only be described as travelling circus aqua-techno. Bahraini born, French / US bred and now Edinburgh dwelling video game builder, sound designer and sometime Scottish league football referee Yann Seznec opens the B-side with an absolute stormer of a rain drenched club hook. Sussex based producer Crewdson and builder of such electronic instruments as the Eggiophone and Concertronica closes proceedings with a drizzling evolving 2-step number.

Since debuting his Khotin project in 2014, Edmonton's Dylan Khotin - Foote has fine-tuned an impressionistic, dream-like style of music that straddles multiple sonic worlds. His output often sways from gentle synthesized atmospherics to hypnotic, dance-minded frameworks. His self-released 2018 LP, Beautiful You, offered a study on melody and memory; the album's nostalgia-nudging use of passing environments, voices, and abstractions captivated a cult following, a rare 4.5 review in Resident Advisor and the attention of Ghostly International, who pressed the cassette on vinyl for wider circulation in 2019. Now, Khotin reveals his first collection of new material since the signing. The album is a fluid continuation of his blissful and melancholic songcraft, extended humbly and warmly, Finds You Well. As tongue-in-cheek as the title may appear, the phrase has haunted the producer for some time. Most often seen at the start of correspondence, the words "I hope this email finds you well" can land with varying levels of sincerity, depending on context and mood. Khotin-Foote started to read the line more ominously during the onset of the pandemic. So, this set of music winks at both possibilities, mixing a platitude's opaque optimism with lurking uncertainty. Finds You Well can be heard in near-symmetrical halves: its 10 tracks represent the selections from a bounty of demos that, with less modesty, could have filled two records, one active and the other ambient. Originally released via Terraform Records in 1995, ‘Systems E.P. 1’ was certainly too ahead of its time to meet with success back in the day. That said, as years went by, so swelled the reputation of this sextet of visionary, alien-engineered jams, soon turning the once $1 bin find into a highly sought-after item on the second-hand market. Much to the displeasure of hardline speculators but for the greatest joy of skint ’90s sound lovers, KOC reissues the Systems experience in full force and effect.

Harbouring a trio of submersible ambient-tech and 303-driven breaksy weapons, Red Shift’s own dedicated A-side has lost nothing of it's soul-fulfilling appeal. Getting the ball rolling, ‘3rd Moon’ skippers us to brightly hued sound niches, where trancey acid motifs merge with slo-moving ambient pads and uptempo breakbeat on a frenzy. Laced with a hint of bleepy abstraction, the more lascivious, piano-laden ‘Audity’ then shifts the scope to further introspective depths before ‘Himalayas’ takes us on a mind-expanding ride across imaginary snow-capped summits and lushly forested slopes.

Flip it over and here comes Ether and their mightily explosive ‘Detonator’ – a wild and woolly acid number that shall not go without conjuring up memories of the early Prodigy’s mid-nineties rave exploits. Not to be confused with that of his contemporary Australian counterpart, Escape Artist’s ‘Rain Eternal’ evokes the soulful RnB suavity of Sade’s classics, adorned with otherworldly organic warbles and addictive piano stabs. Constants of Nature vibey closer ‘Slow Symmetry Breaking’ rounds off the journey on a further distinctively atmospheric note, perfect to muster up the energy and drive to take it on the lam from our crazy world.

Sara Dale's Sensual Massage was a delightful erotic video with a mystic soundtrack by Coil. Quite unusual for the band dreamy
ambient, almost spa-relaxed soft harmonies, bland tribal rhythms, chimes, and birdsong but still with dark mysterious and
inimitable Coil musick's charm. However, the second part of the album explores more rhythmic structures that remind 'Gay Man's
Guide...' soundtrack. Besides the OST recordings, the edition includes bonus tracks from the "Basilisk prod.'s" era: “Theme From
Blue”, and grandiose "The Hills Are Alive" so badly wanted on vinyl.

Twelve years into his career as a musician, Joey G ii counts Tim Goldsworthy, Dave Okumu, & Mick Jones among his supporters and collaborators. Combining all his honed skills as a guitarist, producer, singer, engineer & composer, Pub Talk relishes in housey bass riffs, modulating chord progressions, anthemic vocals and Prince-inspired guitar. Conjuring moments of upbeat DFA-esque house, melodic UKG, and introspective experimental pop, the album features Orphan. co-founder Klein Zage as well as extra production credits from London based Reckonwrong.

MW007, 'Furi', is a collection of tracks from two Berlin-based friends / artists Exael and Arad Acid. The material highlights the commonalities between their individual and collaborative works, moving from boundless and chaotic energy to soft kinetic radiance over the course of seven tracks.

Over the last decade and a half, Michael David has made many kinds of records, but always with other people. In 2015, he made something of his own for the first time a bleak, post-apocalyptic single released under the name Studio Paradiso.

Now, Michael has completed a pair of singles set for release this fall. On There in Spirit/Rain II, there is a bending of organic instruments. Guitars chop and glimmer. Beats cascade and push forward, but always with a sense of gentle resignation. This is the sound of a mind searching through time, exhuming memories and emotions ‘ good and bad ‘to try and know, recapture, reclaim, and most importantly, feel.

The music on both singles was recorded primarily on an Eloquencer sequencer and mixed in part by Joakim. The b-side features two new takes on Rain II ‘ an alternate, slow version and a remixed version by fellow seeker, Jex Opolis.

On a collision course with earth from the furthest reaches of the universe, The Colours That Rise announce their debut album “Grey Doubt’ on the inimitable Rhythm Section International. Comprised of producer duo Simeon Jones and Nathanael Williams, The Colours That Rise have previously turned heads with 2017’s “2020” EP released on Breaker Breaker (the label credited with breaking Ross From Friends).

Since 1999 Philip has released music as Microworld, beginning with the classic Signals / Smile 12” on Derrick May’s Transmat label. He followed this with releases on Styrax, Millions of Moments, aDepth, Curle and Petite. His tracks are played out by Ricardo Villalobos, Seth Troxler and Francois Kevorkian. Philip’s first release under his own name is the Audiogenic EP on his new label Cachet Recordings. He chose to start a label to be in control of and learn all aspects of the music-making process and to release original, creative music.

The Audiogenic EP is available as a 4-track 12” and a 5-track download. Philip’s goal for this release was to make techno that was intimate and musical and that relied on simple and inventive arrangements of interesting and highly synthetic sounds. There is a lot of space in the arrangements so listeners can bring something of themselves to the music. The term ‘photogenic’ describes something or someone that looks attractive on film - ‘Audiogenic’ is Philip’s description of the musical equivalent and the process of creating an attractive and engaging release

Ubek II revises the present and takes us back to other versions of actuality.

Blue transparent vinyl with four fierce electro tracks characterized by powerful grooves and immersive emotive melodies. Inspired by life and its emotional changes due to sudden sad and joyous life events. Sometimes atmospheric and sometimes breath-taking, alternating between beautiful manually played detuned synths which creates a nostalgic and peaceful vibe like in the A1 and B1 and strong rave breakbeat as can be heard in the A2 track "Escape From The News". Ending with a sweet and light touch of ambient electro created by the transporting pads in the last track, "Relief" featured by energetic acid sequences and different analog drums. These sharp breaks between sweet and strong are what define the feeling of "Changes" according to ADT making the tracks great for listening and at the same time ideal for the dance floor.

Jon Tye and Pete Fowler have been making music as Seahawks for a decade now. Given the sounds they’ve been exploring over those ten years it was a cosmic inevitability that they would be asked to contribute to the catalogue of the legendary library label KPM.

They replied with Island Visions, an exploration of sound for vision where they construct “audio micro-worlds to explore and inhabit”. A way to transport the listener away from the everyday without the bother of getting on an aeroplane. Mind travel is space travel after all, and much better for the environment.

Mostly recorded at The Centre Of Sound in Cornwall, with additional recording at Studio 34 in London, Jon and Pete’s travelling companions on this particular trip were boogie wunderkind Sven Atterton on fretless bass and keys, Nick Mackrory on percussion and the Seahawks live team of Dan Hillman and Alik Peters-Deacon.

From the grooves of Brian Bennett to the moog vibrations of Mike Vickers, the lush textures of Les Baxter to the experimental sounds of Delia Deryshire and David Vorhaus, this new music channels sounds and moods from across the KPM universe.

The spacious “Hot Sand Shuffle” opens the record with some of Seahawks’ familiar “deck-shoegaze”. The slinky digi-dub of “Sky Blue Sky” follows, gently encouraging us to lay back and relax. “Mystic Beach” is a refreshing ocean spray of a synthetic groove that clears the head, priming a pathway to receive “Crystal Forest”, a new age house groove of birds and flutes.

Dense, deep and dreamlike, “Distant Shore” is ambient rainforest house with a 90s vibe, its dense foliage clearing to let us bask in the shimmer and shine of “River Run”. Hang drum, electric gamelan, flute and loon close side A.

Side B bounces into being with “Catch A Wave”, an upbeat beach groover of synthetic guitar, effervescent synth and snappy drums. Equatorial bubbler “Paradise Bird Bath” soon glides in with marimba, crisp beats and fat synth bass. Fender rhodes, space echo and fretless bass make “Smooth Runnings” a laid-back poolside groove.

“Spirits Have Flown” conjures a hazy vibe with marimba, sax, synth funk bass and chilled beats before “Rolling Deep” serves up a light cocktail of sultry rhythms, refreshing textures, cooling sax and fretless bass. Almost-title track “Island Blues” brings the horizontal poolside feels with melodic chimes, oboe and more fretless bass for maximum vibrations. The marina drone of modular electronics, celestial trumpet and jungle ambience pay the album’s final respects to the cosmos on “Sun Salute”.

Like many KPM suites, this is a record of two distinct sides. The sunrise of side A brings a deep meditation, a journey within to renew the jaded self. Side B refreshes with cocktails by the pool and a chance to groove away the evening at some sunset beach party before dancing under the stars in the house of dreams.

Pete’s front cover for the LP is part map, part postcard: “the record has five different sections and I wanted to reference those in the worlds they created, musically and physically. From beach campfire, to poolside hanging and nighttime dancing. A kind of portal to those places and the pictures they inspired in my mind. All places we’d like to be in this turbulent year”. The track descriptions on the back help guide the way.

2020 marks 10 years since Ocean Trippin’, the first Seahawks release, and Island Visions is the perfect distillation of the sounds, sights, textures and moods that Jon and Pete have been exploring over the last decade. Sunrise to sunset condensed to two sides of an LP. The normal rules of space and time don’t apply here.

This is the first time Be With has worked with Seahawks, but individually Jon and Pete have been members of the extended Be With family since forever (Pete did those posters for our Ned Doheny tour and we worked with Jon on the vinyl version of Hatchback’s Colors Of The Sun). Of course we were going to put this out on vinyl.

Mastered by balearic engineer of choice (and Be With’s regular audio co-pilot) Simon Francis, cut by the legendary Pete Norman and pressed in the Netherlands by Record Industry, the sonic frequencies of these Island Visions have been precision tuned and encoded for optimum travelling conditions. On Pedro Vian's second album, the now Amsterdam-based artist opens up a new sonic chapter of his life, running through depths of emotions and feelings, traversing moments of euphoria, fury, serenity, hope and love. Recorded between 2014 and 2018, the self titled LP opens with a melodic flourish, drops down through mournful vocal driven pieces and lands on fast moving synths across a set of 12 deeply personal tracks.

A follow up to Vian's 2016 acclaimed debut album 'Beautiful Things You Left Us For Memories' - supported by Pitchfork, RA, XLR8R, Ransom Note, The Quietus, NTS - this sophomore LP shows the breadth and maturity of Vian's sound, falling in between the cracks of downtempo electronica, ambient and post rock. Pedro discloses: 'I have tried to be sincere, transparent and pure. During the recording process I have avoided artificiality. I do not like the overproduction of music. I like to feel the naturalness and the essence of the beat of the instruments. I like to look inside until I find something real with which to communicate'.

'Pedro Vian' arrives on Vian's own Modern Obscure Music imprint, home to like-minded artists such as Jamal Moss, Gavin Russom, Tevo Howard, Ivy Barkakati, Eterna and Sau Poler. Vian initially cut his teeth in the Barcelona scene, first as part of the duo Aster with JMII on Hivern Discs and Jamal Moss' Mathematics then as a solo producer on his own Modern Obscure Music, MM Discos and Spring Theory.

Colombian label Insurgentes welcomes back one of its own masterminds to present his eagerly awaited debut album, ‘Grial’. Verraco resurfaces as a self-reliant playmaker, willing to display a braindance articulation pulled from the south.

Great Curve is a new London based label. The focus is on exploring music somewhere at the intersection of home listening and experimental club sounds, with a particular emphasis on artists that perform live or work with installations and other media.

The first release (GCR001) is by Will Alfred, showcasing a combination of modular synthesis and various live instrumentation.

Put Your Head Above The Parakeets’ is a brand new EP from HAAi, her second for Mute.

response to this year’s enforced slowdown.

Huerta’s debut album for Voyage is a righteous journey along the coast of California, a psychosomatic blend of melodic rhythm, natural sounds and ambient textures. Recorded throughout 2019, Huerta combines a blissful wash of west coast inspired ambient with the more affable, rhythmic house cuts he has been previously known for.

Drawing on the surrounding landscapes of his upbringing, Huerta’s ode to the Juniper tree is an immersive and introspective experience, a long player capable of taking you to an elevated state of mind.

The first release from Nothin Personal, comes from Melbourne based artist 'Loure'.

House music has always been made from the heart and for the floor. Whilst Loure's music adheres to this hackneyed creed, it exists beyond simply the confines of one particular genre. His jazz-infused, house cuts have found homes on labels such as Delicieuse Musique, Apparel Music, and Slothboogie. An oscillating live performer, Loure can be found in the middle of a flurry of hardware for his solo live shows, behind the platters for his DJ sets, or conducting a full live band setup that is riddled with horns, guitars, keys and infectious improvisation.

For these reasons, it's our pleasure to share 'NP001: Loure - Outta 106'. Marking a slightly new direction for Loure, 'Outta 106' celebrates the diversity and talent of the Melbourne underground. Showcased through a collection of 6 finely crafted tracks stretching from contemporary jazz, to breakbeat, through to house cuts - Loure collaborates with some of Melbourne's best-kept secrets, to surface the stunning talent and beauty that is the Melbourne underground.

Highlights from the record are:
'Rotate' - a swinging 4/4 groove, accompanied by classy sax melodies, uplifting piano, and soulful vocals that together build into a thumping house cut, filling your heart and the floor.

'The Walk Home' - A complex DNB style beat, matched with luscious strings and a burning sax solo that drives listeners into the deeper side of the release.


'Heavyweight Sinner' - another UK Jazz style cut, a solid broken-beat groove with lulling melodies, complimented by warming guitar. The track peaks with an impressive bass solo.


'Talking Circles' - Closing the release with elevating ambiance, emotive strings, and one final burst of soaring brass to create a euphoric and memorable ending to what is a stunning EP

Dukes of Chutney, the transcontinental trio of Dustin Lynn, John Paul Jones, and Petra, explore the different spaces and places, between nothingness and nature, that nurture inner and outer peace for their debut full-length Hazel. Cosmic yet intimate, long-gestating and free-flowing, diffuse and centered, Dukes turned toward their immediate sanctum, and a network of friends and colleagues, to realize the vision of Hazel. “Pretty much everything we do is without purpose,” the Dukes admit, in line with their pursuit of joy. But it’s not empty hedonism or passivity at play on Hazel, so much as an expression of freedom. “Why not?” was scribbled on the white frame of the Polaroid documenting their first appearance on Tim Sweeney’s Beats in Space many years ago, and it remains their motto, their mantra.

Following 2019’s Dupla Ritmica EP, Banlieue is back with a 7” record featuring four tracks produced by Jose Fleury, a Berlin-based producer affiliated to the Infinite Drift imprint which he runs with Banlieue alumni Matthis Ruffing.

Throughout four short tracks, the listener is transported into Fleury’s world: cinematic at times, lush and synthetic but never devoid of humanity, these tracks would fit easily in the IDM / forward-thinking electronic music category yet that would not fully encompass the producer’s idiosyncratic sound. With Acacia’s futuristic electro feel, Garden’s lush and dubby atmosphere, Aue soft haze’s blissed-out mood and 610's upbeat flurry of beats, there are far more diverse textures, emotions, rhythms and soundscapes than one would initially imagine, a good reminder to always remember that there's always more than meets the eye.

Recorded mostly as a live-jam, august 2019, Il Sogno di Carmen is the result of a solitary producer meeting a nomad musician, Viscardi & Alano Santo. A brand new friendship. From there, the duo leads us to a spontaneous and fragile vacation story that yet manages to frame, with a sometimes mischievous accuracy, the current Genevan musical spirit : experimental, sincere, hybrid and hot. “I have no idea where this will lead us. But I have a definite feeling it will be a place both
wonderful and strange. Deep into summer, most definitely. The season of torrid bodies, of slowed down movements ; where melancholy creeps in the form of light and inconstant paragraphs, italian-style. Dragged around in hedonistic reunions, spiritual vagrancies and the soothing coolness of the Rhone river, Carmen is smooth and frivolous. She loosens up. Nothing is important. It can wait. Him too, you mainly. Geneva in the tropics, Bongo Joe on
the terrace, stolen emerald glances & air-conditioned airports. That's it. A wonderful and insignifiant story”.

Following reissues of Japanese fusionist Yuji Toriyama and Italian new age visionary Il Guardiano Del Faro, the third Time Capsule is a body of dub reinterpretations by celebrated producer Bill Laswell of Ethiopian singer Gigi. Curated by Tokyo record collector, music researcher and seasoned reissue supervisor Ken Hidaka, it is the first time Illuminated Audio is pressed to vinyl after its CD release in 2003.
