Philipp Weber is a musician living and working in Leipzig, Germany. His main focus when creating music is to capture the moment by using all kinds of instruments in a playful and intuitive way, experimenting with rhythms, sounds and melodies. His songs are ideas, emotions and thoughts that he tries to translate into music. »It's like speaking a language«, he says, »without knowing its grammar, still trying to fnd the right words.« Philipp is one half of the project Webermichelson - a two-piece band focused on merg-
ing Kraut and experimental music through drums, synths and guitars. Webermichelson have been a core ingredient of the Holger universe from the very start, one of their live shows actually being the moment where it all began. The first release by Sous Section 5 since 2008's "6 Flights" EP comes in the form of an endless-loop cassette. Originally designed for repetetive announcements in shopping centres and other public address situations, the endless loop cassette is also perfectly suited to SS5's lulling, wave-like piece "Sonsuz" - the title of which is the Turkish word for "endless", "limitless", "infinite" or "immeasurable".
The extremely limited cassette (only 50 copies for the world) comes hand-assembled in a black metallised sheilding bag, complete with transparent poly-flex casing.

Dynamically deep but sonically hulking, this is Dubfire at his darkest and most demonstrative. And it comes with a unique story that befits such an exceptional release...

Several years ago Ali Naderzad, an old college friend of Dubfire's, moved to Paris, became a film critic and befriended critically acclaimed writer, director and actress Asia Argento. Famed for pushing herself creatively in a myriad fields - from writing novels to modelling - her involvement and passion for music led to an album. Released last year on Nuun Music, Total Entropy was penned with scene-shaping Italian producer and musician the.art.of.FY (Michele Pauli). When he heard 'Come', Ali Naderzad instantly thought of his old friend for a remix project. 

'I met Asia at the Cannes Festival in 2013,' says Naderzad. 'I heard her album and got hooked immediately.  The music has a lot in common with Dubfire's deep and dark sound and I thought of him immediately for a reboot of "Come." It was that eureka moment, I guess!'

He instantly joined the dots between Dubfire, Asia and producer Pauli and the talented trio knew they had something special on their hands: Pauli's original stark sonic bedrock, Asia's sensuous spoken words and Dubfire's ability to inject his twisted sonic signature while paying complete respect to the original ensured this remix of 'Come' would smash in all directions.

With such strong connections and such a wealth of creativity behind it, SCI+TEC knew it would be the perfect record to highlight their centennial release. Celebrations don't get deeper or more discerning than this.

Drawing energy from ancient cosmic entities, they have managed to create a hideous monstrosity. DNMF is a primitive life form floating through the vastness of empty space. A hulking mass of sound originating from an intense collaborative process that forced both Dead Neanderthals and Machinefabriek to explore new musical ecosystems in order to accommodate each other's long-winding, droning, and harsh constructions.

Dj Kyros drops his first Ep ''Astron'' for Phonograph Music. Colors, vibes, chords and deep
grooves but it's much more than that. His debut EP on Phonograph Music delivers three
distinct deep house tracks. The release opens at the full length A-side with 'Vibrations' which
features H.W.C, a professional keyboard player. This is a feel good track of ethereal pads,
synth stabs and slick emotive melodies a track you can play at any time of the day or night

Keepin' the legacy; it could be our motto here at Hizou and it is certainly what we humbly try to achieve with all of our music. Which makes it the perfect title for this our fifth release, a various artists affair featuring four producers from two continents with one aim: quality house music inspired by the classic sounds we love from Chicago, Detroit and New York.

Hizou debutant James Duncan has a pedigree to envy being not only an in-demand trumpet player for the likes of Metro Area and DFA, but also an acclaimed producer for Dance Tracks and Real Soon amongst others and owner of his own superb label, Le Systeme. Although originally from Toronto, it is Duncan's adoptive home of New York that looms large over Track A. Old-school Big Apple house and garage flavours percolate what is an already irresistible groove.

Enigmatic producer G Marcell also makes his first appearance for us with the achingly groovy Peace Awaited. And the Chicago-based artist -- who has worked alongside the likes of Aesthetic Audio's Keith Worthy -- makes an instant impact as this beautifully measured cut is infectious, emotive and ass-shaking in equal parts.

Detroit old-school legend Gari Romalis returns to the fold after his recent solo debut for Hizou with the mighty The No Beat Left Behind EP. Here with the equally-impressive We Here he does what he does best; no nonsense, chunky, floor-throbbing house music of the highest order.

Mellowing the mood a touch, label owner Satore makes a welcome homecoming with a track that is arguably his most accomplished, contemplative and mature to date. Tribute To The Roots (Extended Mix) is a downtempo delight drenched in soul, bathed in melancholy and is quite simply the perfect close to the EP.

With his hits 'The voice of Dru' and the '2 know U' EP on Exploited Doctor Dru earned respect
and backslapping from the biggest names of the scene. Since then the journey has started and led
him around the globe touring all continents. He spread the voice of dru in the well renown clubs
around and gained much love for his adrenalizing sets. But a busy schedule doesn´t mean a special
outcome: we are happy to finally have him back for our 13th release on JEUDI Records.

Proper Lane
If you feel like that there is time for your dancing feet to have a portion of propellent beats you
should hear what this track is telling you. Skyrocket sounds coated with sensitive words told in an
outer space could be the right sweeping emotion you will get from this deep technoid groover. As
Doctor Dru carries a tune for further tracks like his underground hit "U Don't Dance" we are
proud to hear him vocalising his approach of having a journey to a 'proper lane '.

Speaking of journey. 'Alpha Ray' will tell you a new school of sound experience. What if a 90s
rave, Pink Floyd, John Carpenter and a starbirth open a door full of shining beats and deeper dark
sounds Yes, you will get on a journey of a modern deep house track filled with a broad and
redemptive sound. The beats and booms come as a relief and create a weightless feeling of sound
aesthetic. We suggest Doctor Dru managed to bring exactly those feelings together on this track.

Limited orange vinyl version. The next instalment of this nine part series sees Mosaic take a diversion into darker techno territory with contributions from Ed Davenport, Aubrey and Ozka. Over the last few years Ed has been quietly gaining respect from those who like their house splashed with a good dose of techno. The Berghain regular's "Bloodchild" rides the fine line between both genres perfectly with a dark twisted bass line driven groove and eerie vocal line that typifies his unique sound. Next up is Aubrey who has provided a storming techno monster of a remix of Ed Davenport's unreleased "Islands." A very welcome return to the label after a 17 year break and when seen alongside his recent Ostgut Ton, Ferox and Metroplex appearances it is no wonder that people are calling 2014 his best year yet. Belgian techno wizkid David Nizet (aka Ozka) provides the closing track to the EP. Despite having recorded for the likes of Dave Angel's Rotation and Mowar this guy has been bubbling under the radar for some time . With forthcoming contributions to John Beltrans Dado and Arne Weinberg's Diametric coming up we are sure his talent won't go unnoticed for much longer .
