Since contributing to the CockTail d'Amore 5 years Compilation, Andrew Cole aka Luv*Jam has been invited few times to rock the monthly party with his deeply blissful and futuristic sounds. This is his first 12' for the Berlin imprint.
The title track takes over the A side. Nip To Space is an abstract hypnotic slice of techno. Every frequency of the 4/4 groove is stretched to the max, and it's built to enhance the dance floor with masterful soundscaping. On the flip Forest of Nip is a raw tune, made by unexpected elements disappearing and re-appearing vibrantly, climaxing in a maze of fluffy acid synths.
With Flip To The Flop the alchemist of sound design explores breakbeat of the finest UK tradition that evolves unexpectedly in a cosmically distorted afterhours delight. LUV*JAM's psychedelic perspective of sound is at its best in this EP, coupled with his unique mastery of frequency manipulation.

Next up on Nang we are pleased to bring a really positive 3 year association with West Country, UK based collective Situation to a fruitful crescendo. After 4 singles, numerous remixes and a couple of Beach Disco mixes we are extremely proud to present the new album from Situation - "Visions".Situation is live, DJ and studio collective made up of the core members Ben Vacara, Mr Mulatto, Dom Thompson, James Payne & Paul Walker, with Vocalists Lauren Rimell & Andre Espeut (Defected & Fools Gold Records). The crew got together in 2008 through a shared love of house, disco, funk & soul music. Based in & around Stroud & Bristol in the UK, the crew released their first Edit based single on Disco Deviance with huge support from DJ's including Greg Wilson, who featured their edits on a Radio One essential mix & Resident Advisor mixes. Their Edit "Pushin' On" which was a rework of an Alice Russel/Quantic track got snapped up by Tru Thoughts & released as an official remix. They then formed their own "Situation" label in 2009 with a string of successful edits, establishing themselves strongly within the worldwide edit scene, which they still continue with. They have now gone on to write more & more original compositions (as well as edits) & so in 2012 formed their new label "Situationism" which concentrates on original compositions & compilations from themselves & other established & up & coming artists.The album opens up with the arppegiated synth groove and smooth vocals of Lauren Rimell in "Bring Your Love Back". Expansive synth the perfect tone setter for the album to come. Next up "Work Through It" gives us the first taste of the soulful vocals of Andre Espeut. His smooth tones sit effortlessly over the stomping grooves, house pianos and brass stabs.Situation first came to our attention when we heard their "Barcelona" track in 2012. We were blown away with its Balearic grooves and signed it as their debut single with us. This track is next on the track list sounding as fresh as ever.Get To Know" features a catchy vocal top-line, jazzy Rhodes and locked-on synth bass melded in perfect unison. "Here Comes The Sun" does exactly what it says on the tin with its sun drenched grooves, summertime Rhodes and lazy guitar. "Standing Here Baby" has Andre back on the soulful vocals this time over a walking synth bass and burbling synth swells. Title track "Visions" takes things on a housier, dancefloor excursion.Next up is a cover of the Inner City classic "Good Life". The Situation re-rub features the stabby synth of the original but adds layers of new dimension with its driving analog saw tooth bass synth and dancefloor sensibility. "Stay With Me" takes things on a jazzier detour whilst we lean towards the 80s with the big synth and snare fills of "Secret Situation Part 3". Things close off with the perfect closing nightcap of the evening vibe grooves and soaring vocals of Lauren Rimell.The Situation album also comes with its sister companion release "Revisions" which features the remix highlights of the album tracks and some brand new ones commissioned specially for the 2 X LP vinyl release.

Nils Penner delivers a lovely soulful EP with the mesmerising voice of Emilie Nana. The full spectrum of beautiful inducing vibes, just a great house record charged with emotions that comes right for the summer!

We were simply blown away, when we firstly listened to Nils Penner's latest offering for Compost Black. The follow-up of his - Master Petz release (Black Label #121) in 2014 is just a brilliant piece of music! Versatile, soulful and deep in full effect, just the way we love it!

The title track - The One features a sublime mesmerising vocal performance by Emilie Nana, who just released her debut album - The Meeting Legacy on Compost. A smoothly waving groover coming still in time for the late summer and suits perfectly late-back beach sessions and pool parties.

The B-side contains - Mercury , a proper deep house jam with an afro twist. Tricky percussion works and a playful bass line meet sophisticated orchestral vibes. Epic in many ways.

With the second track - Blue Nils shows his true talent as an ingenious arranger. The result is a wonderful instrumental journey, some finest ear milk. The happy end of this romantic EP.

Norman Cook's seminal Mighty Dub Katz moniker comes to the fore once more as Southern Fried Records enlist the services of Butch & Boris Dlugosch to remix two classics from the vault.

First to step up is German production heavyweight Butch, an artist with an enviable catalogue on labels such as Drumcode, Play it Say it, Rekids, Hot Creations and the Visionquest imprint. Here he strips back the disco samplefest that is 2002's 'Let the Drums Speak' and turns in a rolling percussive house groove that wraps itself around an infectious bassline. Tightly edited vocal snippets and subtle effects all add depth to the mix whilst the arrangement builds towards a climactic drop. It's a guaranteed floorfilling remix that truly breathes new life into the sterling original.

Second of the two mixes comes from Hamburg House hero Boris Dlugosch, a Dj and producer who has been keeping dance music fans locked for over 20 years now. His mix of 1995's 'Just another Groove' stays true to its disco roots, infusing it with a soulful and rolling house sound that is bound to please DJs and dancers alike this summer.

Mind Lotion crafts a very modern guide to sun-drenched soundscapes in the form of Altitude Attitudes; a musical travel-log, consisting of eight pieces, written over two years, which are recollections of experiences, moments in time from trips - either real or romanticized - to exotic destinations. Exploring the softness of 1980's digital presets, Mind Lotion creates mental landscapes in a way reminiscent to D.K.'s escapade to his Island of Dreams (ATN026): mineral samples meet crystalline synths on Dreamscape, evocating half-submerged coral reefs, while the redolent flute on 'Atmospherica' perfectly makes up for a great
piece of 'Lagoon House'. Some tunes from Altitude Attitudes, such as 'Hotel Breakfast', even recall the naivety of 'Exotica' masters, while 'My Language's' percussions and eerie sounds somehow taking us back to Umiliani's vision of Polynesia or Africa.

The flip provides the most housey moments of the record with Astro Girl: beginning with a heady DX-7 bassline
and layers of digital vibes, the song soon turns itself into a thumping typhoon of club fun. Next to this one is the
closing track, Algo Rydim, which illustrates the equilibrium reached by Mind Lotion on Altitude Attitudes: it always
stays sophisticated, though it never takes itself too seriously.

Strictly Mood II Swing is a new track collection of music from one of the most influential house music duos of all time. As Mood II Swing, production duo Lem Springsteen and John Ciafone will go down in history as one of the most prolific and respected house duos of the last 25 years. At their best, they were simply untouchable, with their drum programming often cited as what set them apart from the rest of the field: always busier and more intricate than straight-up 4/4 house tracks. Early underground hits arrived in the form of 'Critical', 'Searchin' and 'Closer' - cutting edge house records that have unequivocally stood the test of time and can still be heard frequently in clubs to this day. But it was the duo's original production of Ultra Naté's 'Free' for Strictly Rhythm that struck gold. Nado16 saw Stratus take us all the way from the Gower Peninsula to the Adriatic, and now Swedish newcomer Gryningen beckons us into a sepia dream for Aficionado's third 10" special.

The latest example of Moonboots & Boardman's fine ear for talent, the mysterious Gryningen appears out of the shadowy Stockholmsnatt without a word or a website, on hand to lead us right through the looking glass. The opiated drones of 'Tvu Kvarter Frun Vintergatan' set the tone from the off, shifting and shimmering while languid synths lazily embrace you amid the gentle roll of the groovesome rhythm section.

As the opener drifts out into the crashing waves, 'Jag Flyter Omkring I En Ask' rises from the Baltic Sea with a lilting sway and understated melody.
Cosmic sequences sparkle like water in the moonlight and the subtle textures of acoustic guitar and chimes send us deeper into slumber. The organ-led 'Slia Dagar I Rymdlaboratoriet' tumbles down through the ocean murk into a subaquatic terrain of dubby reverb and psychedelic echo, illuminated occasionally by the refracted shimmer of chiming keys.

Born out of the hazy childhood memory of matinee performances and fine white sand, this exotica inspired beauty warms the soul with its cinematic sense of wonder, all told through orchestral intricacy and steady guitar.

Mano Le Tough spends a lot of time in the club. In 2014, the Irish-born artist played more than 100 gigs all around the world—landing at number eight on Resident Advisor's annual DJ Poll in the process—but when the time came to make Trails, the follow-up to his much-lauded 2013 debut album Changing Days, Mano knew that a little time away from the dancefloor was in order.

Mr Mendel's disco credentials have been growing steadily in stature over the last few years.
Here the Dutch boogieman drops two killer jams for the Disco Deviance imprint. Both demonstrate his clean and tidy approach to editing which focuses on the quality of the original source material and a delicate desire to enhance and ease only the very best out of the music he loves so much.
As such he owes much to his Chicago mentor and good friend Rahaan whose influence and sound can be detected in these reworks. This is of course a good thing.

Helsinki's Lauri Saine is the storyteller for this, the third chapter of Fools & Fables Pleasingly his irresistible releases don't come along all that often, but when they do, they justifiably make serious waves Small Remedies, takes us on a journey to a side of Saine we seldom see...
First things first, 'Blush' cuts a breezy, cheerful path through a warm analogue space, with the mid-tempo throb of sampled rhythms to keep you from drifting too far off course.
'Casual' wears altogether looser pants as we just bob to and fro in a hammock while rum-soaked session players jam away in a distant speakeasy.
The tropical breeze blows free through 'Leisure Song' too, as we begin to get the impression Finland might actually be a small Pacific island. The sun has definitely set as we move to side B
Electronic elements play alongside the organic materials as pitched vocals punctuate a more plaintive vibe.
As the first cool beers of the evening begin to create a warm glow, we head to a dimly-lit basement bar, 'No Rush' where the hep cats are hanging and a sharp fingered double bassist dances a deadly duet with the Rhodes player. We wrap up this most memorable evening back in the hammock, taking in the 'Scenes' as the sun's just beginning to peek over the horizon, we bask in the glow of the day and night we'll have again and again...

Siren is Darshan Jesrani (Metro Area, Startree) and Dennis Kane (Disques Sinthomme, Ghost Town). Siren began recording in earnest during the winter of 2013, but has beginnings which date farther back, to their mutual residencies at NYC's storied night-spot APT, and to the parties they produced together in APT's wake. Events with names like Camille 3000, Adult Section and Strobe Lodge were lovingly presented, with bold, romantic graphics and a strong, specific statement that refinement and transgression can, and should always hang together.
Their third single, entitled "Paradise, follows up last autumn's sweeping and euphoric A/Way with Mr. Reed by stripping itself down and baring its elements in a slowly-unfolding workout, which is as haunting as it is thumping and propulsive.
Paradise is lush but also sinewy and spare, hinting at the compositional economy of that liminal mid-80s period where R&B and the developing sound of club music met.
Mark Dann's slide-y, honeyed, slightly-psychedelic bassline spars with a stone-cold guitar riff and synths which soar and declare, but somehow maintain their delicacy. Downtown-NY icon Felice Rosser effortlessly delivers a powerful-but-breathy and emotionally-evocative vocal which seduces the dancer and makes clear just which side of the existential fence Siren transmits from. Paradise is backed with an equally-compelling, late-night, dark and mechanical techno dub by Gavin Russom (Black Meteoric Star, DFA), and the digital release of the single includes a lean, futuristic, drum-machine led 5AM NY-vibe re-interpretation by Siren

Love Notes from Brooklyn is proud to present a brand new and promising young American artist in the form of tape_hiss. These three moody and emotive tracks fit in perfectly with the label sound Love Notes has been developing over their last few release. The Panic in Needle Park, the clear standout track, begins the EP with gloomy synth washes at a chugging, pitched down speed. That track is then ably reworked by fellow Brooklynite, Willie Burns, of LIES and WT Records, who breaks the beat up for a stunted and unique reinterpretation. On the flip, Love is a Dog From Hell brings a little acid to the proceedings, and Traces to Nowhere closes it out on consitantly dark and moody note. Literates will note the Bukowski references throughout. Another winner for this label.

Why I have to play two hours of only funky or only disco I like to play every kind of music together, and that's what I like to say is my cosmic style.' - Daniele Baldelli.Inspired by his time at the Volcano Extravaganza festival on the Sicilian Island of Stromboli, Daniele Baldelli has created three new cosmic tracks. Including an epic remix of 1970's. A founding father of the Cosmic Disco sound, Italian DJ Daniele Baldelli rose to prominence with his mixture of European electronica, synth pop (often played at slower speeds), equaliser effects, and ethnic folk music. Baldelli's use of African and Brazilian material helps distinguish his style from Italo disco, which permeated the clubs of Northern Italy during the 1970s. Baldelli DJ'd the night away at last years festival and releases the EP on The Vinyl Factory in time for the 2016 celebrations. The art and music festival is hosted on the volcanic active island of Stromboli, which is known for its harmonic vibes and starry constellations.
The record pressed on 180g heavyweight vinyl and contains photography taken at the top of the volcano. The inner sleeve has a full colour printed animation by artist Nico Bruno and notes from festival curator Milovan Farronato.

Longtime lover of good music and hungry for new sounds, french born Remi Mazet joins Love Fever with the Paris is Burning EP. A sexy mix of nudisco, house, deep house.

Noo are Daze Dasen (aka Plastique De Reve) and Sami Liuski (aka Bangkok Impact / Putsch '79. They return with their third 12" and the fifth in the Optimo Music Disco Plate series. NOO pursue their channeling of the disco noosphere with a new EP inspired by YMO, Kabuki opera, video games, animation movies... everything Japan.

The title track Kabuki' is based on the traditional Kabuki and Noh theatre, blending Taiko drums and mystic flutes with futuristic synths and samples from crazy TV ads and space kung-fu series with masked half-robots in pyjamas and holographic princesses floating in the sky. The song tells the traditional tale of 'The Death of Atsumori', a young Samurai killed in single combat. The word 'Kabuki' literally means sing (), dance (), and skill ().

Super Mario' is a tribute to Nintendo video games, science fiction and Ghibli animation movies, and the geniuses behind the synth-fueled Tinseltown Neo Tokyo electro-disco-pop of the one and only Yellow Magic Orchestra. Japanese gentlemen, stand up please!

Rainbow Road' is a more intimate, atmospheric track, made with sounds and outtakes from the previous track. No beats, but waves of glittering synths and lonely vocoders rising and crashing to create the perfect soundtrack for the mind-bending final level of the Super Mario Kart game that bears the same name.

Invisible Inc's third release departs in yet another direction as they dig through the archives of '80s new wave/psych funksters The Poncho Brothers. Apparently these three previously unreleased killer beats were recorded between 1987 and 1990 and then forgotten about, only for a cassette to find its way into label boss GK Machine's hands during some drunken tequila-fueled nights on holiday in Mexico in 2012. Fully remastered from the original tapes these no wave, disco funk dubs are firmly rocketed into the 21st century with NY's Zoovox duo's stripped down stellar remix of Amantes Latinos. Getting plays from Daniele 'Cosmic' Baldelli, Jan Schulte, DJ Kaos, Kirsty P. + more.

The Tiger is back - finally on full length again! The second studio album for Tiger & Woods not only marks a desired return to a specific format, but is also a huge leap forward in their area of expertise: their brand of fun and functional dance music gets broadened by influences from electronica, italo disco and up-tempo house, while keeping a groove that is distinctly linked to what some people refer to as boogie. After travelling the world from left to right and from top to bottom with a live-set to boot and skilful DJ sets that resemble that genre melting approach, "On The Green Again" is the result of spending valuable studio time at the "Tiger's Lair" - a carefully-built new work place that plays its own part in the creative process of one of the most prolific production teams of our days, while simultaneously starting T&W Records for all sorts of adventures that are linked to Tiger & Woods, but not narrowed to a specific sound. Early September will see the release of Paulo Olarte's 'El Escandalo De Tus Ojos' LP via Barcelona's Galaktika Records.
Columbian producer Paulo Olarte has been a long time friend and affiliate of the Galaktika imprint having been releasing with the label since it's early years a decade ago amongst further output for the likes of Liebe Detail and Diynamic. Here we see him back on Galaktika with his new long player, set for release in September via a special vinyl edition with a digital release to follow.
Across the 'El Escandalo De Tus Ojos' LP Olarte heavily gives priority to his roots via a running thread of Latin vocal stylings from the man himself throughout, opener 'Sombras En La Noche' lays the focus on cosmic synth leads, stabby bass hits and organic percussion before 'Love En On' eases into the hypnotic vocals alongside a raw acid tinged feel and sparse rhythms.
Throughout the long player Olarte stirs in a bunch of interludes in between the longer tracks in the shape of 'Roces', 'Las Chicas Beautiful' and 'El Barrio' touching a soft lo-fi texture while the core is directed squarely at the dance floor. 'La Queen', 'Solo Dejate Llevar' and 'No Puede Ser' make up the latter and see Paulo deliver a low-slung and playful style of house fuelled by bright synth melodies, hooky vocal licks and natural percussive shots.

A three tracker from Copenhagen's Music For Dreams and an unusual new house direction for this normally chilled/Balearic label, but all 3 tracks still have that definite White Isla feeling. James Moor's 'Spirits' is an irresistible funky track in a Ten Walls vein, perfectly blending melodic bass with dark emotive elements - a killer for the dance floor. Electronic artist Hess is More's classic 'Yes Boss' (more than 9 million views on You Tube) is here revamped by Serge Devant with a very groovy b-line and mad vocals creating that after-hours DC10 feeling and already getting support from Jamie Jones. Born in Ibiza, Valentin Huedo is former resident DJ at Cafe Del Mar, now resident at Blue Marlin and this release is his debut for Music For Dreams. 'Running On Grass' is all flowing pads, rolling beats and a beautiful little melodic hook with spot-on production and an Innervisons feel. Sounds great on the dancefloor or on headphones - a true testament to Huedo's versatility. Limited edition.

The UK based artist has always taken a minimalist approach, withholding those details beyond the music, choosing to express his identity and aesthetic simply through deeply personal songwriting and a voice that tells countless stories of its own.

Since his debut "Cundo" EP on Double Denim, Brolin has continued to live up to the hype. As well as producing his own material with the likes of Luke Abbott and Peaking Lights, he released his glitteringly beat-ridden mixtape "Flags", which featured a stream of collaborations from Raffertie, Dam Mantle, FTSE, and Hannes Rasmus, followed by the house-flecked soul of single "Swim Deep," a sleeper hit that's amassed over 1.5 million streams on Spotify.

His debut full-length album brims with shimmering beats and heartfelt melodies, carrying reflections, observations and a yearning nostalgia. Although the album was written in the comfort of Brolin's living room, "The Delta" is all about escapism of the mind and the wonders of travel. From the stark realism of northern England to the vibrant heat of Barcelona, experiences and perceptions weave through Brolin's song writing as he touches upon anxiety, hope, optimism, and the occasional desire to disappear somewhere else.

Having collaborated with Ninja Tune's Raffertie on production, the album features a cohesive array of electronic-led gems, borrowing notes from dance, pop and soul. From the hushed and gently touching "NYC", to the mesmeric, house infused-repetition of "Nightdriving", each track is beautifully positioned around a hypnotic hook and Brolin's silky vocals. Lyrically compelling with nuanced, layered production, "The Delta" is an album destined for repeat play and enjoyment.

Basil & Rogers is a sleazy, California Disco duo made up of Heru (DJ) Johnny Basil and Body Rogers.

Basil, a multi-instrumentalist, long-time record collector, and energy healer is a man that's been making music for a long time under many different guises and in many different styles.

Heru Avenger (Acid/Psych Rock), Non Stop (Electronic/Free Jazz), Baast (Kraut Rock/Jazz Funk), and Kandi Jones (Slut Rock) are just a few of his projects, past and present.
Most of this music has been around for the entirety of the 90's and 2000's without being heard because despite Basil's outspoken appearance (described by many as looking like Iggy Pop's twin brother and would never be caught wearing a T-shirt no matter the location) he's very quiet about his musical output.

Body Rogers is also part of the Non Stop group and is a master of electronics and engineering.
On the Basil & Rogers project the two have made a disco 12" that is influenced by classic-era dance music while still being completely unique and far from conforming.

This monster 1976 LP from Nassau's Munnings brothers aka Beginning Of The End is a stone cold classic. Fact. Well deserving of a place in any record collection!
This, their second LP (with 1971's infamous "Funky Nassau" preceding it) features the brothers original, fresh sound - a mixture of tough funk rhythms, Bahamian soul and
flourishes of jazz and rock - is an extremely well executed and produced body of work. Not surprising considering the band were one of the Bahamas foremost musical outfits.
The brothers' musical backgrounds could not have been any more fitting, they cut their teeth playing regularly alongside the likes of Nat King Cole and Count Basie at their fathers
well known nightclub "the cat and the fiddle", what we get on this LP however is not jazz, but lean, melodic SOUL music! Original copies of this seminal LP can change hands for 100's on the used/second hand market and is a solid constant at the tops of the wants lists of record aficionados.
The LP has been illegally reissued numerous times without any care or attention being taken to retain or respect the quality of the amazing music contained within.
Not so on this occasion, this is a fully legit, sanctioned reissue done in conjunction and with the assistance of Miami's TK Disco empire. Now is the perfect time to revisit the deep, soulful sounds of the Munnings brothers endeavours, a truly sublime collection of songs, drenched in sunshine, masterfully produced and performed with pure vitality.
A truly classic album. Sounding as fresh as it did almost 40 years ago. "Jump in the water"! You won't regret it.....

Ben Sun returns to Delusions for his 4th release on the label including three more tracks which show the Australian via London on his best form yet. Full Moon kicks off the Tides EP at full throttle with a muscular conga-led disco house roller. Slurping 909 hats and the most twisted of synth solos courtesy of regular collaborator Fantastic Man (and his beloved Juno 60) provide the icing on this simple bass-cake which never fails to energize the dancefloor in the most special of ways.
Star Ritual drops next, going heavy on the percussion once again for a minimal stripped back drum tool which packs a mighty punch. Dubbed out vocal hits punctuate the beautifully loose groove with subtle hints of afrobeat implied by the bassline making for a warm summer track dripping with tropical vibes.
Finally we have Glass Waves bringing the EP to a glorious close, all chiming synths, bouncing moog bass and waves of chords layering on top of a heavy drum track. Ben repping an early 90's blissed out Nu Groove mood on this one and managing to sound as fresh as ever in the process.

The Kachiri Remix EP features a varied selection from some of the finest. Kicking off with Tronik Youth who takes the title track and reboots into a harder darker groove, pushing the synths to breaking point. Man Power ignites a fire on the dancefloor with real bass and spacey chords. Ivan Smagghe creates an off kilter eclectic groove with a different energy. Jamie Patton dubs out Pink Ghost with a twisted and warped groove that takes it to a new cosmos. Whilst, Kasper Bjorke takes us down to the sea with his love vibes and tropical rework of Volupia. Craig Bratley adds his dark synths and toughened grooves for late night dance floors. Two Mamarrachos lead us on an epic 11 minute journey with their massive Pink Ghost funk groove.

Dyva, the magical Italian group from the 80s, is back on Flashback Records with two new tracks. The main track "Unbelievable" is a slow-tempo track with all the typical Dyva elements; gloomy and dramatic athmosphere with heavy beat, spiced with charming vocals of Roberto Calzolari and Evelina Bancalari. Pure "Dyva romance".

"Alone Again", on the B-side, is an uptempo song with lighter arrangements and simple but catchy refrain.

The artwork has been made with shots taken from the videoclip filmed in 1986. The record has been pressed in solid red vinyl.
