Quantize Recordings is proud to present 'All Q'd Up' from the true originator of the extended mix & re-edit - the legendary John Morales. Credited as one of the first engineers to create extended versions of tracks via the painstaking cut/slice/tape procedure, his now infamous 'Deadly Medleys' & 'Sunshine Acetate Medlays' paved the way for his introduction to Sergio Munzibai. Working together as M+M Productions, John and Sergio went on to remix well over 650 ground-breaking releases for the likes of Class Action, Jocelyn Brown, Aretha Franklin & The Rolling Stores. John's discography is impressive and pulls no punches!
John & Spen's path first crossed at the Southport Weekender back in 2010, headlining the Disco Theme finale alongside Jocelyn Brown, Linda Clifford & Martha Wash. The duo quickly struck up a formidable friendship at the event and have remained close ever since. Through that initial connection, John has become something of a Quantize regular, bringing his hefty studio knowledge & production wizardry to a plethora of cuts on the label including the newly formed production name alongside Spen - Spencer Morales (clever eh).
'All Q'd Up' features 2 CDs spanning John's involvement with both Spen & the label. The unmixed disc features 9 full length tracks (many of which are exclusive to this compilation), whilst the second disc allows John's equally stacked talents in the DJ booth to shine.
