Reigniting the long-standing creative partnership between Greg Wilson and Kermit Leveridge, Super Weird Substance was formed in 2014 on the back of their inspired collaboration on the 'Blind Arcade Meets Super Weird Substance In The Morphogenetic Field' mixtape. Building on this momentum, 2015 saw Super Weird Substance return with 8x12" vinyl and a CD compilation, exhibiting an original sound best described as balearicpsychedelicdubdisco.

Alongside the music, the label has also turned its attention to a series of events known as Super Weird Happenings, taking the sixties-styled gatherings to 5 stops around the country in 2014, hosting a memorable day by the estuary at Festival No.6 in 2015 and assembling the behemoth 14 Hour Super Weird Happening at Liverpool's Florrie in 2017.

Having worked on another sample-based mixtape last year, 'Alan Moore's Mandrill Meets Super Weird Substance At The Arts Lab Apocalypse', alongside a few new recordings, Super Weird Substance will see a more focused return to original recordings in 2018.

Parisian DJ and producer Armless Kid joins Radio Slave's Rekids this June with five smooth house cuts.

Armless Kid started his career in Paris' house circuit with respected collectives like La Chinerie and Copie Blanche. Having released on the Copie Blanche label, Hustler Trax, FINA and Classic Music Company, he's received regular support from names like DJ Harvey, Karizma, The Black Madonna, Voyeur and Fred Everything to name a few.

Kicking off the package, 'Troisième Acte' mixes warm pads, cosmic synths and rattling organic percussion before the up-tempo 'Abdos Fessier' delivers infectious two-step drums and scintillating chord stabs. 'Jojo On The Moon' is next with its disco vocals until 'Air' combines thumping kicks with a pulsating sub and mesmerising atmospheres.Finally, 'This Generation' utilizes a shuffling rhythm with a trippy spoken word vocal to round off the release.

Temples Of Jura is a new offshoot catering for original artist material from a variety of genres. The first release is a split Dub 12' featuring Melbourne's Len Leise and Adelaide's Jura Soundsystem. As the title suggests Len's track is a homage to the legendary Dub pioneer Adrian Sherwood whilst Jura Soundsystem debut with a more Rootsy excursion across 3 mixes.

'I Want To Be With You...But Sometimes Life Becomes Too Real...I Want To See The Things In My Heart I Know I Feel'.

The opening track is a love song written from the perspective of the camera, asking to be held up to see the world through the eyes of its user. Chromatics' dense electronics are anchored by the intimacy of Ruth Radelet's vocals. Framed by negative space, this is pop music from the blurry hours. She softly sings, 'I write a song in my head, pretend that I'm lying in your arms'. The music is minimal & bare, layered with sparse percussion. The Camera EP features unreleased material, including a haunting take on Dear Tommy's title track & the midnight mood of 'Flashback To Forever'.

Founded in 2010 Lumberjacks in Hell has seen many beautiful releases. This 2x12" is an overview of the highpoints of the last 6 years and also featuring three tracks that haven't been released on the label originally but but reflect the label sound in the best possible way.

The world of B. is like a giant disco ball, where she likes to dance all around and meet some friends to share some music : Roger Thornhill gave classic disco perfection, Hysteric sent a letter from the far east, or maybe from Italy, Turbo Boom-Boom chewed a funky bubblegum song to make a housy rolling track and Baerlz reworked a boogie track, just what it needed to have the righteous construction for the dancefloor.

In 1982, a group of friends deep into post-punk, jazz and dub got together in Mad Professor's studio and lay down their youthful interpretation of a NYC disco cut. Their unique take included trombone, vibraphone, piano, and an ital dose of tape delay. They called the song Trouble and released two versions (vocal and dub) on their friend Tony McDermott's !Drum! label with artwork inspired by Russian Constructivism. TIP!

The group, comprised of Justin Langlands, Chrysta Jones, John Schofield, Tom Dixon, and Dave Killen, decided to call themselves A-Team, having no idea that Mr.T and Co. would make them almost totally ungoogle-able 30 years later. The result of their adolescent studio idealism sounds akin to otherdisco misfits like Arthur Russell, Maximum Joy, Talking Drums and wouldn't sound out of place on legendary NYC label 99 Records. Remastered with an extended Club Dub formaximum dance-floor action.

Kampana's debut release was a global hit across the house, disco and tropical scene, with support from heavyweights such as Francois K, Soul Clap and Gilles Peterson. 'Mapora' is an original number that will blend well into both deep house and afro-centric sets. Think of the neon lights of the boulevard or a late nite drive through the lonely hills, Krikor Kouchian's "Pacific Alley" propels you to a world of sleaze and excitement, where passion, money, and illicit substances take precedent and the sun beats down in a relentless unforgiving fashion.

Spending time as a youth in Southern Cailifornia, the French-born Kouchian developed an obsession with this Americana and the magic of everything California. The music on the radio, from pop, to funk, to hip hop fueled his impressionable mind, later on taking influence in his own music.

Pacific Alley is a snapshot of this lost period, full of juicy low slung basslines, slow bpm cruisers, Linn drum crashes, and ride or die melodies. Australia based artist Inkswel is widely known for his funk infused dance music that incorporates ingenious sample work and memorable vocal cuts. For the ninth installment of the PULP series the 'Edible Pyramid EP' is a journey through the mind of the Australian artist. The package includes a melancholic remix by no one else than long time champion of vinyl and Red Motorbike label boss Eddie C, 'Edible Pyramid' is a work of positivity, the title track excels in it's blissful ambiance that is supported by a back bone of thumping rhythms and jovial vocal cuts. The Eddie C Remix is showcasing a wistful approach by incorporating a rhythm that is reminiscent of those from the early days of Hip hop. 'Let Go' is a confident sounding work of samples. Rhythmically firm with an emotive break that is a welcome change from the slow base-rhythm that flows throughout.

On the B side The Posse comes up with a remix that cleverly incorporates oozing synth pads and a more upbeat vibe. The original is flipped into a more dancefloor friendly version with an acidic touch to it. The final track is called 'Yesterdays Flava of The Month' this boogie tainted cut uses tasty breaks and lively pads that again depict a positive atmosphere.

Loco Dice has unveiled his darkly eclectic album 'Love Letters', a 15-track embodiment of his diverse production range. Featuring the latest single 'We're Alive', the most highly anticipated record of his recent sets. Dice's third studio album after '7 Dunham Place' and 'Underground Sound Suicide' sees him reflecting on his musical influences and connections to Dusseldorf and beyond. The album is packed with the producer's typically forceful tones, which blur the lines between house and techno. Utillising the bristling sounds and smooth drum beats, Dice's 'Love Letters' album serves as an aural embodiment of the tones which make his sound so unique. Throughout 'Love Letters', Dice uses his own vocals more frequently than on previous albums, which makes the production both trippier and more personal, representing past and present. Addressing his listeners via special sleeve inside the 3x12 vinyl album edition, Dice writes: 'It's been a while since I've released anything in the form of an album. This time everything happened differently than my previous albums where I had the story or the concept first and where the music was my soundtrack to that story. This time the music came first - making and collecting music, having a good time in the studio without any pressure. It was not clear at all what to do with all this. To release it or not, if I have club 12 singles, or if I should just keep everything... but it felt good.

A shimmering piece of gold - Discos Dorados is a 4 track VA e.p. brought to our shores by the Lovedancing adventurers.

Felipe Gordon & Vagabundo Club Social open up the e.p. marrying dreamy arps and luscious Rhodes stabs, with tribal esque chanting to create an exotic, bubbling groover. Eddie C then ramps up the disco flavour with his Stomp Mix of the original, introducing a phased upbeat hook and choice horn samples, isolating out elements before unleashing a killer keys solo over the top.

Flip it and Sleazy Mcqueen & Vagabundo Club Social bring the heat with 'Chips Y Salsoul', blending jazzy chords and echoed out trumpets evocative of a Mexican fiesta after one too many tequilas. To close it out Eddie C rides off into the sunset sampling a vocal dialogue that wouldn't be out of place on a Moodymann record alongside succulent strings and crisp percussion - reminiscent of the jazz infused, MPC laden house of the Moomin's of this world.

Some might remember The Planty Herbs from his earlier 7 Inch outing on RNT, and now the dynamic Dutchman brings his dusty vibes to a 4-track EP of crafty edit selections. "Famyly" kicks of the pack with a bouncy funk groove, followed by "Errybodydisco," a low-slung house party affair. Omer joins the Love On The Rocks family with a massive underground smash, the not-so-well-kept secret rework that's been doing the rounds recently among a handful of trusted DJs, inducing hands-in-the-air hysteria and clocking up more than a few plays in clubs from Robert Johnson to Panorama Bar. Finally it lands here as the title track of the EP, perfectly tooled for any poolside dance party. Phew! Finding just enough room for another huge jam to share the same side, Omer moves effortlessly into his trademark late night melancholic trip territory with High Hopes, leading in with snapping percussion before giving way to a fierce bassline, swirling layers of melody and synths that resonate with warmth and emotion. Rounding out the proceedings, Back and Forth pulses with electric energy from the word go, quickly pulling you into its distinctly neon after-dark atmospherics, with a forboding hook that twists around itself amid spiralling tension, and on into euphoria. Series 4 of East Village Edits which is getting known as the essential fire starter records for DJs. As always DJ Monchan spices up the Dollar bin records with juicy hip shaking cuts, at the same time, he picked abstract tracks to turn them into happy floor friendly tunes.

Two of Russian electronic music's rising stars, Phil Gerus and Alexander Lay-Far, invite you to join them at the Solitary High Social Club. While table service is provided, they'd much rather you throw caution to the wind and head to the dancefoor.
Before joining forces in the studio, both Moscow-based musicians have delivered a string of memorable solo productions. Lay-Far has previously released a wealth of material on such labels as Local Talk, City Fly, Lazy Days and 4Lux Black, while synthesizer fetishist Gerus has showcased his electrofunk and disco-fred cuts on Futureboogie Recordings, Sonar Kollektiv, Public Release
and Superior Elevation Records.
The fve tracks that make up Solitary High Social Club deliver a perfect marriage of the two producers' distinctive solo styles, combining the rich musicality of Lay-Far's house productions with the spacey, intergalactic electronics of Gerus's discoid adventures. In many ways, it's a marriage made in heaven - or in Lay-Far's celebrated In-Beat-Ween Studio, at least.
The duo's spacey and melodious musical fusion is arguably best exemplifed by lead cut City 2 City, Star 2 Star', a widescreen, mid-tempo disco epic rich in tactile Rhodes riffs, supernova synth solos, delay-laden drum beats, tumbling melody lines and heavy analogue bass. Fittingly, the track returns in Reprise' form - think sweeping, weightless ambient bliss - to round off the EP.
Elsewhere, the duo provides further proof of their combined musical talents.
Check, for example, the gentle drum machine electro beats, cascading new age melodies and sparkling, stretched-out synthesizer chords of the impeccably beautiful Am I Tripping', or the devilishly percussive, mind-altering brilliance of Love Life', where mutant electro bass, wide-eyed chords and alien melodies rise above a heavy, Afro-infuenced groove. As for Snowfakes On Her Lips', you'll struggle to fnd a more confdent and positive dancefoor workout all year. Blessed with killer piano parts, darting analogue synth-bass and a range of disco-tinged musical fourishes, it's by far and away the most celebratory moment on an already happy-go-lucky EP. It confrms, too, our initial hunch: at the Solitary High Social Club, life is always good.

Recorded in late 2016 by London based dance-duo Monaco_band001, The Business EP is made up of three live recorded hardware based kraut infused house Jams. Bouncing bass, 707 beats and swirling synths run throughout all three tracks on this debut 12".

Nubian Quadrant EP sees Dutch producer Philou reaching for that sweet spot between Afro and Electro to produce three pulsing new tracks for Byrd Out. As Philou says, "All good music ultimately comes from Africa", and true to his African roots, the EP was part recorded in Malawi. With his tracks being picked up by the likes of Erol Alkan and Eats Everything, this EP is sure to provide the rhythmic backdrop to the summer. If you imagine the driving force of Fela Kuti matched with the acid sqwelch of Phuture, you're part of the way there. It's dancefloor sunshine on vinyl. Biog: Philou Louzolo, a vibrant human being showcasing a diverse sound: born and raised in between the forests and the salty ocean breeze of Southern Zeeland (The Netherlands). Blessed with deeply rooted ties to the townships of Sierra Leone, the jungle surrounding the Congo river and Nigeria - where the birth of Fela Kuti's Afrobeat took place - his music sounds like Pan-African propaganda packed with sounds from urbanized cities, the Sahara and Africa's many jungles. He's been making waves with a Mixtape for the Feel My Bicep guys (it's #84), and getting airtime on BBC Radio 6 with Erol Alkan, and on BBC Radio 1 with Eats Everything, and playing Resident Advisor's GAIN stage at DGTL in Amsterdam in March, and playing at Morocco's boundary-pushing Altas Electronic festival later this year.

Ron Trent takes on the mighty Skymark original, and elevates the listener to a whole other place like only he can. Trent treats us to one of his deepest, dubbiest jams in recent years - embracing the strength of the song while interweaving his own rhythm throughout.

The original track, here on the flip, featured on Skymark's 2015 'Wave From The Nucleus' LP- a beautiful song from the sun-kissed Swiss musician and producer who resided in Rio de Janeiro for many years, and now in Barcelona.

A real meeting of minds. Both artists express their love for the deep and organic, incorporating Brazilian sounds, gospel, disco, jazz and soul in their music. Their similaraly detailed approach and ideologies blend perfectly on this 12' release.

Soulpiction and his label have been a big inspiration for umberjacks in Hell and we are honoured to present Parking Lot Blues EP. 4 groove snatching monsters from all sides of the disco and house spektrum.

House of Disco return with a pair of funk fuelled cuts from Aroop Roy with Japan's Brisa contributing a deep and percussive remix. Based in London, Aroop Roy's take on electronic music involves blending elements of jazz, Afro, Latin and funk with disco and house. Roy's releases have landed on Freestyle, Gamm and Basic Fingers, and most recently on the hugely successful Kampana Classics EP.

His multi-genre spanning influences can be attributed to his wealthy experience playing around the globe, including previous residencies in London, Geneva and Tokyo.
Renowned taste makers Gilles Peterson, Francois K, Karizma and Rainer Trueby are only a few names from a swelling list of supporters and their seal of approval is a clear
testament to his studio abilities.

'Talkin Bout Life' demonstrates Roy in fine form as it subtly builds into an essential party anthem. Jazzy keys, a soulful guitar lick and a dusty breakbeat are brought together by a warm and punchy low end to form an irresistible groove. This sets the scene for a breakdown of epic proportions, with raw vocals looping hypnotically to a huge climax.

'We Together' shows Roy's deeper side, pairing chunky, overdriven percussion with subterranean chords, whilst an infectious vocal operates on top. A warm analogue synth ups the ante with an extra portion of funk.

Hailing from Fukuoka, Brisa concludes the package by completely reimagining 'Talkin Bout Life'. Rumbling drums, twisted bass and otherworldly stabs together forge a jazzy remix with an abundance of character and originality.

Sol Power Sound adds a fifth release to its catalog with ' Rising Tides,' a blazing EP from London producer, Aroop Roy.
Aroop has delivered a string of hit records on Gamm, Basic Fingers, House of Disco, and Kampana , and is a welcome addition to the growing Sol Power Sound family.
On 'Rising Tides', he offers two stunning visions of global house music which have already received outstanding feedback.
The EP begins with 'Tembandumba (Vocal Mix)' -- an epic (and fully licensed) dance floor interpretation of a Totó la Momposina classic. This journey of shifting rhythms, evolving filters, layered synths, and kinetic percussion arrives at a powerful climax that will set any dark room on fire. The club mix is slightly shorter and cuts to the chase more quickly.
'Abale' features Malawian vocalist Gasper Nali
(and is a reproduction of his tune 'Abale Ndikuwuzeni,' from 2015). Aroop's synth soundscape starts dissonant, dark, and tense butopens up into pure analog bliss. A perfect selection as the early morning sun peeks over the horizon.

Lucretio and Marieu, AKA The Analogue Cops, are certainly no strangers to Hypercolour, having previously released three singles for our Hypercolour and HypeLTD labels over the last few years. The duo are back again for the 'Flimsy Output' EP, following a run of well received EPs on Memento, Moondance and the Sabotage label. Lucretio steps up with the first of two killer tracks. On 'Higher & Higher', we are served up some prime time underground vocal house vibes; a filtered vocal and string combo flourishes around a hefty kick drum whilst acidic bleeps rain down in a true warehouse style. On 'Give Out', Lucretio opts for more astute sampling, wrapping a soulful vocal around a loping percussive beat and incessant keys, taking things right back to the raw power of house music. On the flip, Marieu reduces the BPMs on 'Hit The Power' for a lazy, shuffling jam that manipulates film dialogue and shifting micro beats, all pinned down under a hulking bassline. Jacking things back up for 'XA Swing', Marieu deploys reverberating beats, garage light organs and transposed vocal refrains for a real old school soulful jam that evokes shades of classic Moodyman, Nick Holder etc. Another set of first class tracks from The Analogue Cops then, bringing their gritty yet funky warehouse house vibes back to Hypercolour!
