Here we are for the 4th round of Apparel Wax and a crazy one indeed for all the lovers of the vinyl masked man, a release that expresses 4 different nuances of House. Few words are needed to describe the debut of the vinyl with A1 track which is a rarely powerful combination of 2.0 Dance Music and 80's vibes, a proper slap in the face to kick it off! Our unknown DJ then shifts to a more sensual mode with A2, where funky guitar shades and smooth chords blended with the vocals that drag us on a more intimate level of listening to keep on traveling on a lower tone. Disco Segreta makes this dream come true with its 6th release: the muchawaited officially licensed reissue of this tropicalo-disco synth bass boogie atomic bomb, from the original analog masters.

Written in late 1983 by Mario Baldoni aka Miro (of Real Life Games' LP(1977) and Brina's Stranamore' (1984) 7' fame, was originally released in July 1984 on the small Pineapple label - a sublabel of Armando Sciascia's Vedette' - with close to no success and a pressing fault: a glitch on the vocalversion, that affected all copies.
This tropical summerish blend of italo and boogie, along with the male/femalealternate spanish/english singing, turned into a true classic of the genre over the years, slowly making the playlists of the most respected DJs and diggersworldwide.
The 4-tracks 12" features the original vocal and instrumental versions in theiroriginal lenght, carefully dubbed from the analog stereo masters and takenback to new life through Disco Segreta's usual respectful mastering. Also, twonew remixes are featured.

Melbourne's Superconscious Records has become a source for straight-up, surefire club records. A string of 12's from András, Francis Inferno Orchestra, Louis CL and more have presented a globally focused sound from a humble stable, grown out of Australia's greatest city.
International nomad and the imprint's co-founder Fantastic Man follows suit with the label's sixth record Rhythm Algorithm. A hypnotic trio of mind bending explorations, all with a firm retrospective nod to the inner-city sounds that club music is built on.

Golden Teacher was born in early 2013, when members Ollie, Laurie, Rich, Sam, Cassie, and Charlie gathered at Glasgow's legendary Green Door Studios and packed seven cassettes with raw, rhythmic improvisations. These instrumental sessions, dubbed Green Door Disco Band (or G.D.D.B.), were a covert prologue for the band's infectious and hallucinatory dance music. Originally issued via cassette on Golden Teacher's own Akashic Records, this vinyl edition compiles G.D.D.B.'s most commanding moments for an explosive re-introduction to the band's emergent boogie.

Golden Teacher's method was simple: Pack the studio with instruments, position a tape recorder on the floor, and then just go for it. Whenever the vibe was right someone would hit record. The members swapped instruments at random, mutating across primal electro-disco and swirling, psychedelic house. Jerry-rigged rhythms breach the delectable fry of tape hiss. Melodies dissolve into throbbing ambience as percussion lurches in and out of focus. The band achieves a contagious blend of hazy atmospherics and crystalline frequencies that suffuses each groove with club-level delirium.

G.D.D.B. captures Golden Teacher's kinetic genesis, transposing the dynamics of their freest and most elastic live performances onto plastic. As an exclusive bonus, the album is offered with or without a companion cassette, compiled by the band from two live performances on February 2nd, 2013. Side A is Golden Teacher in classic dance floor motion; Side B documents a baffling reinterpretation of Ludwig van Beethoven via abstract electronics. The tape is only available from House Rules.

Johannes Albert is a producer as diverse as they come. Comfortable across all sub genres of dance music from deep house to italo disco, in Italy they call him Giovanni Alberto. He's been praised by the likes BICEP, Gerd Janson, Lauer and the Keinemusik crew, and he's only just getting started.

Harlem's legendary Disco label Queen Constance has long been a cult favourite among fans of underground dance music for decades.

One of many labels operating under the equally legendary P&P family of imprints Queen Constance was operated by one Peter Brown, a truly colossal figure in NYC's music scene, it's catalogue still fascinates music lovers to this day. Covering a wide range of styles including Gospel, early Rap and Disco the label's output continually finds it way into the playlists of respected DJ's and selectors across the globe. Licky & The Dream Lovers' massive afro-disco groove 'African Rock' is the next in a fully licensed series of Queen Constance rarities to be repressed.

Licky seems to be yet another studio group put together by Peter Brown in order to explore different sounds and styles. This raucous piece of uptempo, blazing Disco really does the business in the dance, a truly immense club record, which is not surprising considering Brown is at the helm. Ridiculous Funk on this one. Across 2 sides we are treated to 2 slightly different versions of the cut, both equally as good, you could literally put the needle on the record, let it spin and watch it do damage. This one is an essential, a truly sought after record that commands extremely high prices on the used market when it shows up, but rarity aside, it is an absolute bomb and deserves to be in any self-respecting Disco jocks bag of tricks.

Three years ago, a long-overdue and much-anticipated debut album from Let's Play House co-head Jacques Renault finally hit shelves, and now, the follow-up effort, the sophomore swing, arrives. If Zentrum was a sprawling and aspirant full-length, BK Club Beats, Breaks & Versions is an exacting and focused rejoinder, a powerful, punchy, and succinct exposition of Renault's skills and fortes. It's a deep-dive into the movements that sucked him into club music and a celebration of the inspirations that fueled his ascendance to DJ and producer in his own right. What we give you here is an album of originals that have been conceived, orchestrated, and stitched together to function as a classic Renault peak-hour set classic house sounds sandwiched between hip-hop breaks and disco licks, all glued into place with his trademark full-bodied, colorful, swinging drums. The A-side has a daytime glimmer and glisten to it, a sunniness that imparts it with a distinct top-down-crisscross-through-the-city flavor. The flip is just as pumped and uptempo, but it has a rounder bottom and feels murkier, steamier, and, by extension, more late-night. But the overarching achievement here is how Renault has crafted an album that's mood-agnostic; it's articulated with dancefloor language, but it's not beholden to the dancefloor. A satisfying, fulfilling journey that begins and ends with semicolons rather than exclamations or question marks. It takes off and descends determinedly and invites the option of there being a sequel, an epilogue, an encore, while not necessitating one. When it's all over, you'll ask yourself what's next and then realize it's the A1.

Steve Cobby and Laurie Welton are both from Hull in the north of England. Cobby is one of the members of the pioneering electronic outfit Fila Brazillia while Welton is the man behind the Myth! project, whose "False Profits" EP was released last year on Posthuman's Balkan Recordings label. In fact, Cobby has known Welton's aunt for 20 years and Laurie has been a fan of Fila Brazillia since the early '90s. So when Laurie was asked by Steve to collaborate with him, he jumped at the chance.

The fruits of their collaboration are the three tracks on the "Absolute" EP. This release is truly an international affair; the label, Adam Warped's Whiskey Pickle imprint, is based in Austin, Texas, the artists are from the UK, while a remix of "Absolute" comes courtesy of New Yorkers Whatever/Whatever, a duo staffed by Bryan Mette and legendary NY DJ, producer and remixer Justin Strauss.

Toy Tonics lead honcho Black Loops teamed up with italo-spanish DJ Innocent Soul in his Berlin studio. Do we have to introduce Black Loops Not really: He started his career on Toy Tonics three years ago. Meanwhile did 5 EPs on the label - including his main club hit SEX (that was one of the 50 most sold House tracks on Beatport in 2016). Innocent Soul is a young Italian living in Barcelona where he is a quite established kid in the nightlife scene. Vittorio Rinaldi his name. He is resident DJ at Space Music Garden project and resident for the Modular project at City Hall. Like Black Loops he is not really innocent. At least if it comes to music. He is a huge lover and collector of disco, afro, black, raw and house music vinyl. You can hear the influences in this EP for sure. Rollin'. This EP is a bomb.

Denis is part of a collective of Moscovian DJ's, producers and promoters throwing interesting parties in the cities Simachev Shop & Bar and Dewar's Powerhouse venues. When Denis sent us his demo's, we knew they were a perfect fit for the Clandestino ethos.

'Recovery' opens with a lively conga section, snappy snares and a classic Detroit-style drum sequence takes hold while emotive pads elevate.

Man of the moment Felix Dickinson ramps up his remix and turns in a modern jack track by intensifying the bass, introducing firing drums and darker pads.
