Following on from 2018's 'Tribeca Tapes Part One' release, Willie Graf & his musical partner Darren Eboli deliver another fantastic 4 tracker on Copenhagen's Music For Dreams Label.

Willie Graff splits his year between DJ residencies in New York and Ibiza (Pacha). In this second outing with studio partner Darren Eboli, the influence is, African, NY clubbing, World mixing Mediterranean and further afield. The duo finds its roots in the past, building a link between the soul of a song and the warmth of a melody then combining them with a contemporary sound.

The opener 'All Is Bliss' sits at the pinnacle of the underground - A powerful, Balearic, disco influenced club track full of Spanish guitar, handclaps, club synths sounds like it was made for Dj Harvey's 'Mercury Rising' at Pikes in Ibiza. 'Ahimsa' is an outstanding track with funky breakbeat, weird Eastern samples, sneaking acid and Kraftwerk like arpeggios.

'La Sirena' is a balearic beach styled mid tempo chugger with chopped up breaks, deep sub-bass, Compass Point styled keys, whispering voices saying 'Let Your Mind Be Free'. If you are a Cafe Del Mar connoisseur and longing for that sunset moment 'Bellatrix' does the trick featuring bits of Spanish Guitar, Flute, Oboe and floating warm pads creating that early 90ties vibe. Another winner from Willie and Darren - and hopefully an album soon.

This first release is made up of 3 tracks from my friends and 1 from myself. There's no concept here other than putting out music that was otherwise not going to see the light of day. The first track is by Bleaker who put out a 12' on Unknown To The Unknown last year, the second by Miz aka Big Miz who's been putting out music on Dixon Avenue Basement Jams, the third by The Burrell Connection who has a release on West End Communications and a track on a Craig Knows released compilation and the last track is from myself which got a play on Big Miz's boiler room set.
These tracks were all sent to me around the same time and it felt right to make a place for them on a record. Bleaker, Miz and The Burrell Connection have all been making waves in Scotland and beyond and these 3 tracks are proof that the attention is warranted. And I don't think my track is too bad either.

Disco-formatted and world-fusioned four tracker with hints of Finnish-Prog-Rock, Jazz and New Age by Helsinki's Jesse. Last track being the burner on this EP, "Keke Rullaa", a blissfull balearic pearl with mediterranean guitar, soft glow and afro-beating rhythms embedded in a dynamic 9 minute narration.

Mr. Raoul K: After having met quite a couple of times while dj-ing in Greece, Timmy Regisford and Mr Raoul K decided to take their friendship to the next level: do a record together. Say hello to the 'Gongon Alt Mix' of Mr Raoul K's 'Moment Psychedlik'. Their rework adds am overall summery touch and softens the tribal beats of the original towards a more lush atmosphere. You're still welcome to lose yourself in the swirling synth sounds and mellow yet drving beats. Dance on. Watch out for Mr Raoul K 's album coming 2019 on Compost.

Claudio Coccoluto: With over 100 remixes, more than two dozens own releases and 70,0000 records collected and catalogued since the early 70's - Goats Head Soup' by the Stones being the first one he ever bought at the tender age of nine - Claudio Coccoluto is an tradenmark. He started an apprenticeship from spinning records on pirate radio stations to the all the world's most respected dance institutions. From television to radio programmes, his name and brand was exported overseas - The Italian DJ', his face was published in countless magazines (DjMag cover, July 97' and the new DJMag Italy in December 2011). An artist who accepts both the past and future of music production, he is surrounded by all the famous analogue machines of the 80's and 90's: Emulators, 909s, 808s, Vermonas, Akais, Moogs etc, but also obsessively experiments with the latest digital softwares and the explosion of the plug-ins'. His precipitation into the world of production led him to begin working on a project with Savino Martino and Dino Lenny, creating the record label - The Dub'. He collaborated with Subsonica on the production of one of the band's tracks on the critically acclaimed Microchip Emozionale' album. 1997 is the year of 'Belo Horizonti' (produced by Basement Jaxx). Claudio's most successful piece of music, which sees a sale of over 1 million copies worldwide and a definitive appreciation by a wide range of artists and critics alike.

In terms of creating history via the party medium, Claudio and Tina Lepre built the infamous Angels of Love' parties from the ground up, which he worked on for five years. However, his home ground has and always will be Goa Club in Rome - Italy's best club in terms of attitude and cutting-edge musical selection, one which was certainly nurtured by DJ Giancarlino, a man with whom Claudio has had a long- running almost brotherly musical relationship with. Via a mutual synergy and vision for what the club atmosphere should contain, the two founded the Thursday nights Ultrabeat' at the club. In more recent times, Claudio has dedicated more attention to his own personal night at Goa - Nozoo'.

Lehar's aestethic categories of the sublimity and beauty of nature find their roots in Romanticism. As you may notice while listening to Lehar's music compositions, intuition and emotion are the basis of his creative process, finally resulting in a near impromptu. Lehar's debut EP ‚Sargas' on Offenbach imprint Connaisseur Recordings has put him on the map of modern electronic music and represents his artistic manifesto: a mixture of sounds and atmospheres of dramatic effects characterized by intimate basslines and intriguing melodies. Lehar's EP Magic Realism on Diynamic Music, the indie single Number One Hero featuring Rush Midnight on 2DIY4, his contribution to the - 10 Years of Diynamic album celebration, his mini album - Picture released in October 2017 on Diynamic Music, as well as the - Penta EP he released on his own imprint in 2018, have consolidated his reputation as a producer. Thanks to the active work on the remix side and few collaborations with Musumeci, Lehar's music also appears on Compost Black Label, Endless, My Favorite Robot, Mood Music and Lost & Found. In 2018 he, together with Musumeci and Olderic, created the label Multinotes. In the same year he and Musumeci presented a new concept for a one night event called MUSE, in 2019 they will have their own summer residency at Heart Club in Ibiza.

Musumeci always has a deep passion for electronic music. He is successfully shaping and contributing a modern, forward thinking approach of dance music and club culture - made in Italy. With worldwide highly acclaimed releases on Innervisions, Diynamic, Connaisseur and a previous Compost Black Label 12 his state of the art house music received support by the likes of Mano Le Tough, Âme, Laurent Garnier, Tale Of Us or Ewan Pearson to name a few. Whereas Sicily based Musumeci, also part of the project Human Machine - making big waves with their 146 EP' , one of the masterminds behind the superb Italian underground label Engrave Ltd - and a top notch DJ of course!

Montreal’s finest Dave Allison aka Ed Wizard & Disco Double Dee has been delighting dancefloors around the globe since 2009. With his signature brand of chunky disco dubs infused with hip-hop flavours and a slow mo house feel. “Funk Wit Me” is classic Ed Wizard and features the talents of Nebraska on the remix. Fort Romeau follows his recent release on Ghostly International and his BBC Radio 1 Essential Mix with four new psychedelic house cuts on Munich's Permanent Vacation.

We are very excited to present you this new signing and debut EP by Dampé. A studio and live project from South East London. Since moving to the city, Dampé has been intimately involved in its club culture " from running warehouse spaces and booking venues to DJing and performing in groups across the city and Europe, under a slew of different aliases.

The music is made on a boat on the Thames and is a combination of dusty analogue gear, live instrumentation, and samples. For Dampé, influential parties were "Co-Op, FWD>>" and "You're A Melody" and echoes of those dances can almost be felt in the sound. Across five original tracks, the EP explores weirder and worldlier ends of house music, all with a nod to undeniably UK sounds.

"Peach Shuffle" is a made-for-the-floor, broken beat work-out that has this great warped and chopped Persian vocal sample giving the track a unique and world-wide touch, followed by "St James" Road", a crunchy live Rhodes jam and ode to a favourite street south of the river. "Move Me" is all garage-infused vocal loops and singing bowls and acts as an experiment-come-DJ tool. "Carn" is a super-swung hip hop beat featuring "SMBD" aka "Simbad" providing additional keys. Closing out with "Zongo Junction, At Night", a late night roller with material pieced together from saturated CR 78 samples and field recordings made when Dampé was recording sound for a film about witchcraft and the internet across rural Ghana.

To round up this exciting EP we ask a fellow SE London enthusiast "Nebraska" to make a remix of the title track "Peach Shuffle". Cutting up the vocal of the original, adding some mean bass and pouring a smooth "dance floor" sauce over it. The delicious end result is something we are very proud off and we hope you will enjoy as much as we do!

Jaali's sound reflects a timeless wave of electronic music inspired by futuristic ambient spaces and expressive techno rhythm. Subtle darkness meets haunting melody, a blurred picture of the vast electronic music history. Working out the tracks in their own studio, the record was finished in Nils Frahm's stunning Funkhaus Saal 3 Studio. The mixing was done on his Konsul 1 desk, enhancing the radiophonic touch with the original GDR reverb chamber.

The art of editing is seriously taked here in Calypso and for this we introduce you our new series "Correcciones Calypso". We are glad to release some of the most epic ones we and some of the coolest djs around have been spinning here and there for the last year. First we have a track that was born a hit since the very begining, Tyu from Mexico is welcome on the label with his "Meneo" already guilty of setting fire to many dancefloors around the globe. INigo Vontier jumps on the journey with "Justus", space disco at its finest. For the B side Vilnius ascending stars Plot Pilot formers members of Siaubas deliver "Knock Around" a peak hour track full of guitars and live bassline that goes on and on. Again from Vilnius the Serial Experiments boys close the EP with "Industry Works" a slow and sexy lithuanian sax chug.

Super disco dub mix action from Junior Negro! He transforms the cult classic Carver Area High School rap into a nice workable instrumental! Then "Lady Midnight" realizes its dreams as a French disco boogie jam through Junior's masterful touch of isolating the groove. Limited one sider!

« Remixes » is a meeting of French electronic champions.
French Touch veterans I:Cube and Chateau Flight, trendsetting DJ Raphael Top Secret and newcomers Flegon provide us with remixes of the autumn released LP « Sphere Of Existence » by Antoine Kogut.
Where the LP explored atmospheric and experimental pop, « Remixes » gives us a perfect four tracker that is made for the dancefloor.

On side A, Chateau Flight transforms the title track « Sphere Of Existence » into a 90's Italo house banger while I:Cube does what he does best in his unexpected dub version. On the B side, Raphael Top Secret reworks « Current density » into a Hip House track full of jaunty vibrations and newcomer band/label Flegon fulfilled their goal of working with their all time favorite French Touch pioneer label Versatile giving us a Nu-Disco remix of the song « L 'oeillet noir ».

Be sure not to miss this limited vinyl-only release by Barcelona's disco crew Apersonal Music. Three old classics get revisited by the main artists of the label, Robbie Ellington's "Don't Cry" gets the disco treatment by specialist crate-digger Trujillo, the "Shaft" theme song is turned into a dance-floor killer by Portuguese duo Cisco Cisco, and on the flip side KMA takes "Storm" from Rare Silk to a new level by adding live played instruments and 303 acid loops.

Paolo Mantini is back on Rebirth with the new composition 'Jump Over The Hill'.
Musician, poli-intrumentalist Paolo studied double bass at the Conservatory of Brescia (Italy) and attended Electronic Music Composition at the Berklee College of Music. He is also behind Clockbeats and he boasts a worldwide network of professionals within the Music Industry.

Paolo's debut single in 2017, 'Next Generation', remixed by Pépé Bradock, has been played and appreciated worldwide, with enthusiastic support. 'Jump Over The Hill' is another sublime piece of music, exploring rooted disco and funk, with a contemporary dancefloor swing, perfect to really get a party going. A killer mix of rolling drums, wobbling (rubber) bass line, jazzy chords and infectious piano lines.

We are very happy to have Dego and Kaidi aka 2000black on this project. They produce a timeless remix with their unique futuristic beats and a mix of jazz, soul and electronic vibes. Glenn Astro delivers a delightful modern jazz-synth-funk influenced version, and, included here, is also the sought after Shield re-edit of 'Next Generation' featuring a live drum played by Francisco Mora, known for his collaboration with Innerzone Orchestra and The Detroit Experiment, heavily supported by Gilles Peterson.

Soul Clap launch their new club music imprint with the duo's first EP of 2019. Two party tested instrumentals filled with that signature electronic funk ready to work any freaky dancefloor.

'Jupiter Crush' takes us on a ride around the moons of the gas planet, sound tracked by the sounds of Roland's Jupiter 8 over a broken-beat house groove. While 'Natural Bliss' brings us back to earth, with warm percussion setting a gentle mood, before evolving into a feel-good, disco influenced house joint.

Rounding up five years of Heist also means we're releasing our fifth version of the Round Up. Last year's edition was full of highlights with Fouk remixing Nachtbraker's anthem 'Hamdi' and Alma Negra going all tribal on Nebraska's 'Big plate chicken'. This year, we've seen a lot of new faces on the label, which has brought us a fresh set of combinations and a couple of really nice revisions of the tracks that made our year.

First up is Detroit Swindle's take on Heist's latest signing Hugo Mari. They chose to remix 'Change ur ways', beefing up the dreamy original. They focus on a simple but effective grainy groove and added a twist on the bass to give a more 'warehouse' feel to it and play around with the lovely detuned keys and vocal chops of the original to great effect.

Alma Negra show you just how loose their limbs are with a Rhodes filled version of Kassian's Acid surprise 'Bad Habit', while the full B side is dedicated to Pitto's personal take on Adryiano's classic house track 'Me and you and her'. His version takes the track into a new territory that lies somewhere between balearic and dreamhouse. Whatever it is, it's got a lovely vibe where the vocal is complemented by airy pads and a touch of acid.

Kassian on their turn, have done a great job on taking Pitto's 'Treat me like a fool' into 4x4 house territory. They've opted for a sub heavy club track where reverbed hits and the vocal take turns over a solid house groove. Next up on the C-side is Adryiano. He's picked Detroit Swindle's moody-but-heavy album track 'Cut u loose' and does what he does best: a steady and nicely distorted filtered house groove that packs quite a punch. The final track of this compilation really is a great pair of artists: Hugo Mari and Alma Negra. Hugo takes the tropical warmth of 'This is the place' and adds a subtle punch with a smart percussion loop and some added pressure on the low end.

So there you go. Another year, another Roundup. We hope you'll enjoy listening to these re-interpretations as much as we do. Yours

German producer, DJ and label-owner Phonk D, who has risen fast to stardom in 2018, is back once again on NDYD Records with his sequel-release Disco Goodies Pt.2, an outstanding four-tracker that should instantly do the trick to boost his career even further.
From Talking Vintage, an quite energetic floor-filler with a feel-good sound thanks to the percussions that will last in your memory for some time, to Gettin Down, a homage to the French 70s on the southern shores of the Cote dAzur, the charismatic producer keeps the level at the very top of the game. The b-side complements the funky ride with the pumping disco-sensation Can Do It while Disco Africana, with its lovely afro disco-touch rounds up the picture of the 30th release on the emerging German label from the city of Frankfurt.

In 1980, the 9th Creation began working on new music at a Modesto studio, South East of Stockton. The studio was suspiciously cheaper than all of its competitors. After recording weeks of material, the band discovered the reason. 'We didn't know that the guys that were running the studio were drug dealers,' A.D. Burrise recalls. 'There was a big raid.' All the studio's master tapes were confiscated by the DEA. J.D Burrise unsuccessfully sued the DEA to recover the tapes but to no avail. Luckily Mike Micenheimer saved cassette mix-downs of some of the group's songs from those sessions. 'A Step Ahead' is the the 9th Creation's lost album. 8 unreleased songs of pure soul, funk, disco and boogie.

We are proud to present this lost album for the first time. The ultra talented Jacob Arnold also wrote the complete story of the band that we are presenting with never seen before pictures.

Finally the CD version includes bonus tracks from the Love Crime 12', the Mellow Music 7' and 3 previously unreleased (rough) demos.

The mysterious maestro of the cut and paste delivers two mighty fine reworks. While never losing sight of that classic Disco feeling, Love Drop always manages to push things a little further and produce a frenzy on the dance floor, while creating some serious Disco heat in the process. Dancers you have been warned!

FINA co-owner Corbi makes his long-awaited debut on the label with three tracks of his playful, inventive house
sounds. He has made a notable impact in just a couple of years, with EPs and edgy, in demand edits on The
Bricks, Music For Freaks and Morris Audio.

Opener 'Samurai' continues in that rich vein, with seven sublime minutes of dreamy house. It's awash with
gorgeous chords and vocals, adding to the escapist effects of a truly lush track. The smooth 'Access Serenity'
slows things down, with loose drum tumbles, summery and Balearic string sounds and exotic, tropical percussion
that take you direct to the beach. Last of all, 'Warp' with J33 reworks a cult classic with driving, elastic drums and
bass and the original's deadpan vocal style. Add in curious whistles and the whole perfectly off-balance groove is
sure to get big reactions.

After a spell on the disco sidelines, Dublin label Fatty Fatty Phonographics are back with the 2nd instalment of their 'International Disco Mafia' series.

Extending its reach around Ireland and then again over the sea to Italy, it begins with a 13 minute disco trip by a young man called The Crown Prince of Waterford, with the wirey Catholic white boy spirit of Walter Gibbons in his veins.
The immortally titled 'Getting Fingered On The Waltzers' is overloaded with fizzing disco-rock dynamics, crazy organs and driving endless drum breaks that keep on pushing you all the way to an inevitable, gushing disco climax. Phew!

On the flip we have another Irish up and comer, Island Times, and his chunky disco driver 'Together'.
Just like his debut on the first volume, this one comes up trumps with a big, drum driven sound and a loose, live feel.

Last but not least, we're travelling up along the Adriatic from Trieste with Umberto Lumber, who takes a classic slow jam and pitches it down Baldelli style to a sweet cosmic sludge.
Perfect as a mood setter or as a spaced out bump and grind to finish the night off, it rounds off this 3 tracker in some style...

Highlife are happy to welcome Salon des Amateurs regulars, Mekine U Teksi into the fold for some Kurdish hypnotism. Such a great uplifting bounce going on with these!

There have been millions of typical disco edits in the last years. But there is so much more interesting music from the late 1970s and early 80s yet to bubble its way to the surface. One of those lesser explored fields is the crazy funky side of Germany's underground disco and new wave from that period. At the time, many German bands were trying to make their own version of English and American styles. After Kraftwerk and Can had started to use the German language in a cool, new way, many bands that followed in their steps experimented with German new wave. Most of these bands didn't reach a bigger audience. Their records never got pressed to more than 300 - 500 copies as they were a number of years ahead of the huge commercial explosion of German pop in 1984: The NDW aka 'Neue Deutsche Welle", with Nena's humongous hit 99 Red Balloons. The bands featured on the compilation released their music before the NDW hype and later broke up. Plenty of these early bands are best forgotten but if you dig deeper you'll find the gems, bursting with style and attitude. And that's just what Toy Tonics heads Mathias Munk Modica & Kapote did. They hit gold.

Ivan Neville's 'Dance Your Blues Away' was originally released in 1979 on Cookies and has been a much sought after wax ever since. This is the first official re-release since the original pressing. 'Dance Your Blues Away' is one of the great escapism records that fills dancefloors across the globe with its infectious bassline and uplifting lyrics. On the flip the Mighty Zaf from Love Vinyl works the great instrumentation of the original song and adds an extra dimension to give it a new life in 2018.

NYC label HOMAGE continues a hot streak with their third project from UK producer JVXTA (pronounced Jux-tuh). Cordial Recordings are happy to introduce the extremely talented Harlem based Preachermann to our family with his debut release on vinyl. 'Familiar To Me' is the song that helped to kick start the label nearly four years ago, but we were waiting for the right time to release this uptempo soulful inspirational piece of work on vinyl. The right time being that we now have an album recorded by Preachermann and this will be released in 2019. 'Familiar To Me' was recorded in New York with the highly respected Fred Ones at the production desk. 'Lucky' on the B side is the demo version of a song that was recorded in London earlier this year. Preachermann is an exciting new prospect that is expected to blow up in 2019!

Last year saw La Torre launch the first edition of their compilation, which went on to be named one of Resident Advisor's top 5 mixes of 2016. Compiled by Mark Barrott and Pete Gooding, both integral to La Torre's musical identity and the wider Balearic scene. Pete Gooding holds over three decades of experience as a DJ, including over twenty years soundtracking sunset at the notorious Cafe Mambo in Ibiza, while Mark Barrott has become the face of Balearic, featured in the Guardian, Pitchfork, NPR and The Fader for his sublime productions and forward thinking International Feel label.

The mix includes obscure and much coveted material from the likes of old veterans Vangelis and John Barry, through to a new generation of musical eccentrics such as Lord Of The Isles, Tornado Wallace and La Torre's own Mark Barrott with an exclusive track. It skirts the outer peripheries of oddities to reimagine what is considered du jour, resulting in a charmed and esteemed choice of music that reflects the audience of La Torre - a cosmopolitan, original and radical set from all walks of life.
