A Hundred Birds Orchestra will release a new maxi single which is cover version of Stevie Wonder's 'All I Do (Cleptmaniac Remix)'. The vocalist, Yoshinori Monta, is 67 years old Legendary vocalist in Japan.

A Hundred Birds Orchestra is the brainchild of respected Japanese DJ Yoku, A Hundred Birds is an ambitious live collective, performing across Japan since 1996. Already a popular festival orchestra, the group got a taste of international success in the year 2000 when overseas debut 'Batonga' was released on Francois Kevorkian's Wave Music. Fronted by Yoku, who acts as conductor at live shows and keeps the set running continuously like a DJ mix, the band perform an engaging mixture of covers and original material.

Fred Ventura is the next artist to whom we dedicate a 'Greatest Hits & Remixes' record.

The Italian was one of the biggest stars of the Italo Disco wave in the 80s. With titles like - The Years (Go By)', - Leave Me Alone', - Wind Of Change' and many more, Fred celebrated great successes.

Even today he continues to produce Italo Disco music.

This triple pronged battle weapon from Cowboy Rhythmbox takes is inspiration from a wealth of disparate elements, the brutal drum machine swagger of early Chicago house, the murky world of 1980's video arcades, the bleeps of Sheffield, arcane home computing documentaries recorded to VHS, public access TV, yes there really is something here for everyone.

A total must for those into Dam-Funk, James Pants and the likes. Lehultsub is dedicated to DJ-friendly flips, chops and spins, brought to you on a limited edition of hand-stamped white labels. The A-Side introduces Tony Rainwater, who shows us his straight up approach to editing: Find an obscure sample, speed it up, make it hit. The second track on this side, "Let's Celebrate Less Hats" loops the dance floor in a frenzy. Tony will return for a full 12-inch on Lehult early 2017. The B-side, "My Love 4 U Will Neva Die" by Lucky Charms has been played by all of the Lehult crew for a year already and has been requested over and over ever since. It's rugged, curveball approach catches the crowd by surprise and makes for some unique dance floor moments.

'New Kind', one of the more direct moments of dancefloor pleasure throughout Gabe Gurnsey's acclaimed debut album, 'Physical', is expanded on for this digital package. The 'Extended Dub' stretches out the original's tight groove in a pleasingly baggy fashion that recalls the experimental club dubs pioneered by Trevor Horn, Martin Rushent and Shep Pettibone.

Back to the future, and enigmatic new producer Fall Forward delivers a smooth, rave tinted rework that is guaranteed to thrill the strobe-lit, sweat-drenched club crowd that inspired the original LP. An additional dub of the remix places the focus squarely on it's clean, irresistible acid bassline.

With a knack for crafting up-front, jacking house music, Danish producer Niles Cooper proves he's right at home with the Super Tuff family. Just after his first release on his own Pale Springs imprint, his follow-up EP for Brooklyn's Super Tuff appropriately pays homage to its NYC influences. The title track "House Gospel" is a heartbreaking peak hour track full of old-skool NYC garage flavor. It is impressively followed by a remix from Berlin's Black Loopsia certified deep house belter. On the B-side, "Floor Juuc" is a rolling early morning chugger with a bassline reminiscent of "I Get Deep." Rounding out the record, Cooper shows his versatility with "If We Try We Can Start Anew" jumping into darker DnB territory with well-cut breaks and moody ambient chords reminiscent of Burial. Rudy's Midnight Machine - La Cadenza EP
The Five track EP kicks off with a slinky jazz funk, balearic mover entitled "Camera Dans La Nuit" that weaves the influences of Wally Badarou, and early Brit Funk bands such as Freeez and Light Of The World into a melodic affair that could've come straight out of the summer of 1981. In fact the second cut ("Une Vie Elegante") wouldn't have been out of place on Level 42's Early Tapes if Wally Badarou had taken said band to sunny climes to record it.
The B Side eases us in with the phasing pads and circling arpeggios that we've come to expect from Rudy's Midnight Machine. Taking more of a Pat Metheny influence and combining it with a steady early 80s Jazz Funk feel ,which is all underpinned by Robin's thumb bass line.
It's the bass that get's the main feature in the middle cut on the B Side. "Secret Garden" is a melodic and reflective track with bold bass guitar melodies being held up by the ebb and flow of piano arpeggios. The finale, entitled "Shifting Sands", harks back to the previous two EPs with more electronic synth bass and drum machine textures, with a guitar solo giving us the required organic relief.
With early DJ support from Hunee this release is set to be the sound track of the summer.

Tom Laroye and Yam Who return to Glitterbox as Qwestlife with another soulful cut, for their latest musical offering, 'Hit It Off'. Written by acclaimed soul artist Benny Latimore, and made famous by Millie Jackson in 1979, the track was translated for dance music world when sampled by Tom Trago. Fast forward to 2018 and their take on the 70's classic features the unmistakable voice of Teni Tinks, a session vocalist to the stars, who featured on Glitterbox releases like The Shapeshifter's 'When Love Breaks Down'. Tinks brings true diva flair to the track, and with the joyful chorus and smooth production, Qwestlife once again demonstrate their ability to craft modern disco with traditional analogue techniques, creating glorious dance-floor vibes and honouring a truly classic track. Available on 7' vinyl for music connoisseurs everywhere, a track like this is destined to be heard on wax, with a Disco Soul Instrumental version also available exclusively on the vinyl release.

London's finest deep and soulful house label, Makin' Moves now into their forth year, celebrate their 50th release with a unique one off 12' vinyl press! The team who have already worked with amazing artists and producers including Peven Everett, Kenny Bobien, Glenn Underground to name but a few present the DJ Spinna and Zo! remixes of The Foreign Exchange's club hit 'Body'.

The Foreign Exchange is an R&B/electronica/hip hop duo consisting of the American rapper/singer Phonte and the Dutch record producer Nicolay. The group have 6 albums to their name and are one of the most popular acts in the States. 'Body' is taken from their latest album released last year 'Tales From The Land of Milk and Honey'. Enter stage right, DJ Spinna (also a close from of the band's) who was entrusted with the job and what a job he has done.

Zo! also part of The Foreign Exchange band and having a great year as a solo artist following the release of his latest album 'Skybreak' turns producer and features a sweet remix for the RnB lovers out there.

The sixth edition of Paris Edits is here and Young Pulse is getting more soulful for every release and this time he's re-tweaked a Dee Dee Bridgewater Jazz-funk cut and a super soulful L.T.D. classic.

Kicking things off is 'A Dis Yah Secret Friend' - A Secret Friend of messrs Asher and Forge at the legendary Inspiration Information nights. A proto broken sound, at a point where Sir Paul was playing with the influences, instruments, melodies...definitely an important piece in fusion history. Kaidi's 'Dis Yah On I Love' provides the beat.

First up on the flip is 'Find a Way'. Take two different versions of Stanley Cowells I'm Trying to Find a Way/ Trying to Find a Way (Both as deserving of an edit as the other), add a bus load of bottom end, beautifully layered percussion and a jazz mash up it is then! A Dingwall's classic in its origin guise, and a future classic in it's reworked (clouseau-esque) Rapscallion disguise.

'Little Rudeboy' closes things...Originally out in '84, only 1 minute at 32 seconds in length and strewn with proto Brazilian boogie synthesizers boogie vibes, a rework/edit of this has been a long time coming. Paired with the Cosmosis broken classic and a surefire dance floor stormer is upon us...Clever stuff indeed !

Flash back on jacking, Disco rooted, original Chicago House

The SlothBoogie crew welcomes man of mystery Joe Cleen to the SBEDITZ series with 4 outstanding raw and ready cuts.

Starting us off is the certified disco monster 'Give You All I Got'. Infectious brass, erotic vocals and huge space toms are reworked to launch any dancefloor into the stratosphere! Next up is 'City Nights' a neon soaked snapshot of an 80's nightclub in miami filled with rhythm guitars, slap bass & gliding synths.

Things get emotional on the B-side with 'Dear Lord'... A glorious piano jam laced with dubbed out gospel vocals, shuffling drum machine hats and a pimped out G-Funk synth lead that really takes you to church! Closing out the EP is 'The Fun Part', a bubblin' bass funk groover filled with crisp percussion and jazzy Rhodes licks.

L'Atelier hit back to the Roots For Bloom roster with a killer groove to start things off, sexy, moving and one to get any floor going. Jamie Trench follows with a nod to the old school of 80s drum machines and twisted vocal hits, with a disco twinge on the break. Oli Furness refurns after appearing on the last shag this one following in the same suite, heavy drums, killer sampling and an absolute heater. Ghetto Chords are the new boys on the block here for RootsForBloom bringing up the b side with a jazz, piano infused hit. Again anyone who knows the series will be all over this.

Blair French returns to Rocksteady Disco after last year's brilliant Standing Still Is An Illusion for another 12' of mind, body, and soul music. 'Public Park' starts off the release, with flutes, guitars, and African marimbas abound, presenting itself as the song of the summer. 'Spirit Guides' follows, taking listeners and dancers on a spiritual afro jazz odyssey. The flip features two versions of 'Public Beach', a communal ecstatic dance meets Detroit Jit footwork cut with a massive bassline, pulsing percussion, and harmonized chanting, constructed for open-minded dance floors and deejays. Limited to 300 vinyl, TIP!

The Italian disco masters are back with four heavy funk-fuelled vinyl cuts.

Cabasa has off-kilter bass, Rhodes, dirty drums and grainy samples knitted together in to a groove heavy enough to get your Gran going. Hypnotic, trippy and disco at its finest.
Congo Club goes full cowbell and 80's drums. A chanted vocal wonks out over a Rhodes that weaves all kind of magic, then the lead drops and critical mass is reached.
The title track cracks on at a pace with synth strings, flanging bass, distorted drums and keys tying it all together. Latin percussion is dropped over a a sung sample and the swing is on.
Summer of Sam takes a more soulful diversion but keeps a foot firmly in the disco camp. The track builds with spacey atmospherics in to a track that will work in any situation.

Up first the man himself Dr Packer provides an exclusive, unreleased, bumping dancefloor friendly remix of 'Sugar Daddy', before Black Science Orchestra's Ashley Beedle works his magic with this broken beat styled reworking of Situation ft Andre Espeut - 'You Gotta Move'.
