Our third release 'Untitled' emerges as a moody four tracker born in Matteo Luis' home studio. The title track is the driest start off there could be. It monotonously heads for the tracks climax in manner of a cyclone, a straight stomper that evolves its full strength within its last solution, surprising with an acidic and dubby face that makes you want to dive right into the dashing structure of its last minutes. 'Yucca' has those smooth chords in the back that are dramatically charged, sexy and slow. The whole tune seems nostalgic and thoughtful with its atmospheric dub elements. Something for the lovers. 'Impulse' is Matteo in full effect. Bouncy and moody at the same time, it captures the EP's dub influence perfectly. This song is a trip forcing you to seek for the harmonious redemption that finally appears within a late chord change. The track is remixed by one of our long time favourites - Benedikt Frey. His irresistible, murky style is retrievable in this work. The fully dynamic break-beat based jam finally frames the mystic vibes of the overall EP through its dark appeal. Every copy omes with a full cover artwork by Hermann Reimer.

After some times relaxing in Tapinolis, Antam records is back with a stunning 4 tracker EP.

The brazilero Villaça, still under the radar, is delivering versatile dancefloor dedicated original tracks where house, techno and breaks are perfectly shuffling together. In the remix duty, we have the rising star Mehdi M, who delivers a mystical journey through his breaky remix of the archivarius original track.

Experience and freshness come together for our fifth vinyl release at Melcure, produced by the enigmatic french american new duo project SUNLIT. They propose a 4 killer tracks cuts ep called Circus.

For the A1, "Circus" come with originals broken rhythms and fresh bass line everything drived by a techno house dementia pad. The track "Ronny "complete the A side with minimal morphing sounds and smooth beats. For B siders "Yoki" pushes an elektro touch bass line with retro acid frequencies along a subliminal voice message. The ep is completed by the track Klark with mysterious melodies and strong analogue sounds.

The first Studio Barnhus compilation, Studio Barnhus Volym 1, is coming out at the end of August.

The 19-track release will feature music from the Stockholm label's three founders—Axel Boman, Kornél Kovács, Petter Nordkvist—plus various associates, ranging from local newcomers to superstar friends of the label like DJ Koze, John Talabot and Superpitcher.

It'll be available on triple-pack vinyl, double CD and in all digital formats from August 31st.

Anton Kubikov(half of SCSI-9 duo) returns to MAYAK with a tripy two-tracker. Strictly analog hardware polished by his talent delivered great groove. IN is a classic house track with some acidelic touch, that will make crowd dance for whole 10 minutes, while OUT is a deep dub dive.

Improvising as a way to end a track, a moment in time lasting forever, a singularity as a constant: this is the illusion created by I:Cube for these Cubo Live Sessions: to jam and to edit, a free conversation with his machines.
This new found freedom is a natural evolution following years of hard work in the Versatile basement. We used to hear Cube sweating for days on a single sound or loop, we know through those Live Sessions that Cube has realised that perfection is not of this world. Or rather that perfection precisely is that ephemeral instant, that will to capture a dream and bring back a fragment from his multidimensional travels.
From this precarious equilibrium, this big bang, proceeds an entire universe, an almost living organism. I:Cube always touched by grace, smiling demiurge building track by track an ever growing intimacy with his listeners.

Two classic Finnish acid house remixes from year 2004 by Jori Hulkkonen. Where the A-side's remix of unreleased Acid Kings track makes Jori's rapping sound as embedded as resonance in a silver case – the flip side is deep, driving, juxtaposing pop and underground in a way Manchester's dance scene was famous for in the hayday-80's. After Uncanny Valley 50.1 anticipated the coming summer, Uncanny Valley 50.7 creates a slightly menacing heat lightning. The perfect soundtrack for the phenomenon that is commonly known as Aurora Polaris. The American-Australian duo The Golden Filter make their debut on Uncanny Valley. And it's a tailor-made start. THE PULL is centered around minimalistic drum work, dystopian pads and sparse vocal dots that aim for an inward catharsis. A returnee after eight years is mysterious Mayan Gold from Dresden. His KOMM UND ENTSPANNE (means come and relax) rides on acidic waves and embracing synths, which develop an enormous pull effect on the dance floor. Norwegian Charlotte Bendiks' first track on Uncanny Valley continues the sound language she developed on Comeme. PASCO is a Percussion-heavy track that sounds just as compelling as it is disturbingly beautiful. Music to lose your mind to. Finally, Austin-based artist Katrina Fairlee teams up with Uncanny Valley-stable Sneaker for the psychedelic drum lesson that is OAK.

Those fine purveyors of funk-fuelled electronics, Detroit Grand Pubahs are back with a new album for the new decade, and to whet your appetite for this highly anticipated return is their latest single 'Numb Deaf & Dumb'.

Israeli artist Kino Todo continues to put himself in the spotlight with an innovative new EP on DJ Tennis's Life And Death that features a track with countrymen Red Axes.

Todo's multicultural sounds on Jenia Tarsol’s and Chaim’s Blue Shadow records, where he released his first ep with hit banger “Gidafi Na” as well as on Moscoman’s Disco Halal have made him one of the most promising new artists in the scene. He is someone with a psyched out style that fuses long, drawn out drum machine rhythms with intoxicating synths as well as influences from prog and rock. His music is colourful and charming and always refreshingly original. His last release, 'Yasmin', was his biggest yet, but this new offering shows another mature evolution for such a young artist.

Opener 'Goa Kids' is a bristling and uplifting arrangement that is always on the move. It comes on strong with a percussive jumble of hits and tambourines that ride in loose fashion over a surging groove. Warm, rich bass pumps down low, enchanting flutes and youthful vocal chants all get you locked and take you on a charming trip. The lively 'Paradox' is a more broken beat, with twisted synths and sci-fi sound effects all underpinned by booming kicks as alien vocals are layered in with sirens and pixelated pads. It is a fantastic collision of musical worlds.

The vital 'Vocus Pocus' is a Middle Eastern rave that overflows with musical imagery, ghoulish vocals, juddering kicks and retro-future synth lasers that prepare you for take off. Last of all, the esteemed Red Axes duo join the party for 'Boom Shaki Boom', a tripped out and freaky cut of Israeli acid techno that is riddled with edgy pads and intergalactic sounds.

These are complex and characterful tracks that draw on a wide range of cultural references and reimagine them as dance floor dynamite.

And one day Jack yelled down from his box “Let There Be House” and House Music was born. House is a feeling it´s very positive, it´s uplifting, it´s dance music and most importantly it´s for all people from every different walk of life. Back in the days it spoke especially to those who were considered to be outsiders. The house music dance scene was one of the most integrated and progressive spaces in the 1980s where gays, blacks, and other minority groups were able to dance together in a positive environment. House music helped to glue communities together it was like church for people who have fallen from grace and it´s influence on the development of the modern dance music culture is undeniable. Until today the idea of equality, unity, love, and respect is a widespread set of principles for the rave culture which developed out of house and retained a foothold on the underground scene but also across it´s borderlines all over the globe. The new NBAST Sub-label “We Must Protect This House” is a homage to the ethos of the Paradise garage and to the early days of house music, to Chicago and New York and the music culture itself with a more grown up approach … but with the same distinctive spirit as #datsoulthang

Fabio Monesi is back on his own platform with a classy house number, 'Love Letter', that will no doubt become an instant classic in 2020.
The Original Mix brings home the warm soulful feeling of those seminal older ‘Masters at Work’ pieces. Love Letter’s 'Dub Mix' is an extraordinary throwback to thattimeless Detroit sound – play this when you want to get the dancefloor start moving. On the flip, you will find a hypnotic, club-ready techno tool, a hard kicking, distinctively Kupfer-esque rhythm track making up B2 which is paired alongside the mysterious “Modern Sisters” who spin the track with their own thumping 80s Midas touch.

Rhode & Brown are a Munich based DJ and producer duo consisting of Friedrich Trede & Stephan Braun. Discovering their love for music separately at a young age, they joined forces in 2010.
With releases on labels such as Toy Tonics, Public Possession, Let’s Play House or their own imprints Slam City Jams and RTB Records, they established themselves as an important part of the scene within the past years. The guys play gigs from London, over Paris and Berlin up to Moscow and spread their “Dancing Deejays” vibes around the globe. Both their productions and DJ sets are as fun, energetic and surprising as they can get and represent their love for all kind of music, even across the borders of house and techno.

Berlin’s Cinthie launched her 803 Crystal Grooves imprint in 2018 and marked a new chapter for her own productions, gaining widespread recognition across the globe for her take on raw House, Techno and Disco. Now 2019 sees the label branch out off the back of its success with a sub-label entitled 803 Crystal Grooves Collective Cuts, as the name would suggest, a home for music from the friends and likeminded artists of the label founder.

LUKE VIBERT's first WAGON CHRIST release in nearly a decade released on PEOPLE OF RHYTHM RECORDS on yellow colored double vinyl and CD. Cover art by illustrator CELYN BRAZIER (who has illustrated previous WAGON CHRIST releases on NINJA TUNE and ASTRALWERKS). LUKE VIBERT has been key in pioneering and developing the “trip-hop” or “downtempo” genre of electronic music over his long, storied career. Creating, sampling and using various instrumental hip hop and funk riffs, found electronic sounds, rare breakbeats, outlandish spoken word samples, and carefully mined sound bites, along with LUKE’s signature sample pack of sounds. All mixed up and bound together with those thick WAGON CHRIST grooves.

Baby Buddha is the experimental new wave duo of Charles Hornaday (vocals, guitar, electronics, drums) and David Javelosa (vocals, electronics, clarinet). Born from late night improvisations of San Francisco synth-punks Los Microwaves with a rotating cast of musicians. Live shows would include music, projections, dance and performance art in both clubs and gallery spaces. In 1980, Howie Klein's 415 Records released their first single of Tammy Wynette's 'Stand By Your Man'. In 1981, 'Music For Teenage Sex' was their first full length album released via Poshboy Records. It featured Los Microwaves' Meg Brazill, Poshboy boss Robbie Fields, and Kathy Peck as "Tammy Why-not", who later went on to found H.E.A.R (Hearing Education and Awareness for Rockers). In January 1983 Kathy, Charles and David went into the studio with a couple of Kathy's original 'country' songs and began working on a sophomore album. They also incorporated songs from a live multi-track recording of a concert at the Graffiti Club on June 6th 1984. The album titled 'Everyone Is My Age' sat unreleased until 1987 due to relocation to Los Angeles and eventually found a home on David's Hyperspace Communications, the original label for the first Los Microwaves singles. For this first time reissue we've added a previously unreleased bonus song 'What's Going On,' a Kathy Peck original. All songs have been remastered by George Horn at Fantasy Studios in Berkeley. The vinyl comes housed in the original jacket featuring a collage by David Javelosa and includes an insert with lyrics, photos and liner notes. Alternative.

It's time to deliver the second EP from Adana Twins' latest mix compilation and with this one we set the focus to the more organic and off kilter leanings from Lehar, SBTH, Acid Pauli, Musumeci and Stereocalypse. Kicking things off is Italy's Lehar with his super slick 'Blue Wolf' where robust percussions culminate in a potent groove laying the foundation for lush sonic melodies that transport you into uniquely sublime spaces. SBTH follows with the exceptionally unique '4W1R6' where they forgo the standard four-to-the-floor approach and employ a distinguished and uncommonly unique 3/4 time signature to full effect creating a swelling and brooding number assuring a definite, clear memory long after it ends. Flipping to the B-side we see the renowned Acid Pauli in top form as he relies heavily on thick organic percussion and plush musicality with his 'Greetings From Orgonon' before switching gears as Musumeci delivers a stunner with 'Invaders' where past meets present as Disco, Techno and House all meet in one harmonious culmination. To round out the EP, Stereocalypse's 'Jubeelee!' is an expertly crafted venture into the modern techniques of infectious Afro-House concluding an extremely well rounded EP showcasing the diversity of Adana Twins selection and diversity.

ISNISNT offers it's second release of forward leaning electronics with a diverse group of modern techno from label head Jesse Siminski. Acting under his Heartthrob guise, Jesse initiates the release with 'Someone Called Again' a tough, but funky, bass driven tune that marries detailed production with his signature ominous melodies to great effect. Subtle modulating percussion work against harder, swung snare and synthetic drums workouts, as surprising analog synth bursts glue things together. Building smoothly into a headfirst groove, the track pressurizes and never loses it's drive as heady synth riffs keep things musical and emotionally interesting. In an even funkier tangent the two mixes of 'Cougar Juice' draw together an irresistible bass line with pushing breakbeats and precise synth stabs. These horn like synthesizer bursts mark surprising turns and recall similar moments in classic Hip-Hop jams or even tracks from Detroit's Anthony Shakir or Robert Hood- two of Jesse's production heroes. The 'Driving Past the Jail Mix' incorporates these synth stabs hypnotically within the melodic structure, while the 'Reduced Dub Mix' dials things back and focuses on the bass line, drums and dubbed out flourishes. With their funk driven momentum constantly moving forward, either mix will bring something unique to either a house or techno set. And finally 'Let Them Go' rounds out the group in a deep, yet still driving fashion. It splices sub bass pulses, a melancholic synth atmosphere, absurd bleeps and submerged voices amongst stripped down drums into a steadily building hybrid cut- not quite house and not really techno.
