Shadow Acid follows up breakbeat debut Timescape with The Shadow Acid Files EP.

The mysterious Shadow Acid figure comes back at the end the year to present more of his sound with four new tracks, a remix from Hamburg based duo Extrawelt and a heady resource of locked grooves for vinylist DJs.

Shadow Acid’s sound marries acid futurism and references to the 90s rave, anything goes ethos of the past. It’s a sound that has rightfully earned the enthusiasm of a wave of music fans and DJs across the summer and has been played across BBC6 Music, Rinse FM and the streaming platforms around the world.

For those who missed the highly desirable promo 12” an EP version of the track ‘Timescape’ is included here and an extraordinary Extrawelt remix develops the mechanics of the breakbeat and drops the bass down even to deeper levels than on the driving force of the original. Across new tracks Brainforest, Diode Ladder, Another Chance and Seahawk, Braindance acid is melded with bass, ultimately made with dancing at their core.

Pont Neuf Records, 5 years later



In 2016, Pont Neuf Records was born, with the mission of supporting the emergence of a new scene of electronic artists in France. Its first release “Habemus Paname”, bringing together artists like Folamour, Tour-Maubourg and Sweely, marked the label’s first success, accompanied by a launch party in the lair of the legendary Rex Club in Paris. Since then, no less than 25 releases - EPs, compilations, albums - have forged the identity of Pont Neuf, recognized in 2019 by Mixmag as ‘‘one of the French scene’s most essential imprints’’. A success crowned by two years of residence at the Rex Club, and many participations in the major European electronic music venues (Concrete, Elrow, Sisyphos, La Cabane ...). 5 years later, the label continues to evolve, driven by the talent and originality of artists with unique personalities and eager to leave their mark on a generation.

True to its eclectic and passionate identity, and to celebrate its 5th anniversary, Pont Neuf announces the release of a new compilation, “Hexagonal Club Vol.2”. Composed of 12 original tracks, this compilation immerses the listener in the heart of the different facets of electronic music

Future Tones Records is back with some new and fresh local artists from Barcelona. After the first EP we are proud to announce the Various Artists 'From The Future Vol. 1'.

Since our beginning we've been into pure, honest and deep love to the music. When an artist shows a great talent and even greater personality, we simply pay attention. But when a collaboration overgrow the expectations, an artist becomes a important part of your story. Partnership becomes a brotherhood, brotherhood brings special moments and special moments bring memories. We aim to work hard for those memories.

Mariano Mateljan is one of those people that keeps reminding us why we started at the first place. When you get lucky and all the stars align, the outcome is simply out of space.

Down & Out is the first studio based album produced by Joe Newham , released under the stage name Gavinco. This album is a electronic production with the combination of an Acid Jazz instrumentation alongside. The album consists of eight tracks that include a varied amount of musical genres from Acid Jazz , Deep House , Downtempo & Electronica.

Friends, it is time for a finish. Here's the seventh and last chapter of the festivities that we put together for our 50th catalogue number. Once again, the mighty graphics wizards Doppeldenk from Leipzig provided us with a delightfull artwork. And once again, you'll get a record that sports a kaleidoscope of sophisticated dance music from Uncanny Valley veterans and newcomers. This time with the emphasis on bright and positive timbres which can be associated with the colour yellow. Cuthead starts things with a bang and his PARTY CHORDS set the tone perfectly (including neck pain after nodding your head to the beat like there's no tomorrow). If chords could be president this would get a lot of votes. Massimiliano Pagliara shifts down a gear with the acoustic road trip SUNSET FUNK, a masterfully arranged track, made up for driving around on your bike, skateboard or whatever vehicle you are using to get from A to B. The slow and sexy IWESU YEWISU from the soul brothers of Duererstuben is a longtime favorite in the Uncanny Valley headquarters. We are super happy that this groover will finally see the light of day. Panthera Krause provides the subtle but euphoric THE NAKED NOW, a House music lesson that's bubbling under the surface. And finally, Uncanny Valley first-timer Daniela Da Luz closes the record with WHEN YOU GO ALL IN AND WAIT, a drum heavy but also embracing excursion into your own neural circuit

With a fierce passion and unique vision, the duo is set to introduce some Brazilian colour to their European surroundings. In 2015, Musique Pour La Danse released an exhaustive anthology of Ro Maron's late eighties and early nineties productions that gathered for the first time hard to find but seminal tracks from a variety of the producer's many aliases such as Ro Maron, Agaric, Le Mystère and Zsa Zsa La Boum to name a few.
This compilation underlined how important this producer was not just for Belgian New Neat but for global dance music by and large. Today, in 2018, Ro Maron is sadly no longer with us, yet his legacy lives on through his records, and Musique Pour La Danse is thrilled to reissue on vinyl two classic tunes by his alias Le Mystère with long time collaborator Ferre Baelen as well as two tracks which were exclusive to his anthology and that have never been released elsewhere. The release comes with a drawing by Ro Maron himself, in typical Genth style (Rembert's hometowm) as well as liner notes written by the one and only Geert Sermon from Brussels, the man behind The Sound Of Belgium TSOB compilations and longlasting Doctor Vinyl record shop. Re-mastered from original masters by Frederic Stader (former Dubplates and Mastering) at Music Matters Mastering and cut on lacquers by Emil Berliner (former Deutsche Grammophon), this would be a definitive edition.

There is great excitement in the kingdom of Monaberry. Hordes of Vulcans have invaded the human territory, and Grandpa Herbert needs a vast amount of ore to forge enough chocolate marshmallows to enable his army to withstand this threat. Anyone who does not obey the law is sent to the huge penal colony of Khorinis in these dark times to mine the ore needed.



The entire area known as "The Colony" is surrounded by a magical boundary; an area with a diameter of two kilometres, which completely seals the penal colony from the rest of the world. The border can be crossed from outside to inside, but once inside you can never escape again. The border became a double-edged sword however, because the prisoners saw an opportunity for revolt. The colony was now divided into four groups, and the king was forced to make a trade for his ore, rather than simply claim it. Each group sent its best artist and was forced to present the king the most important piece of music. For the blue group came Super Flu and brought Trombarossa. From the pink group Viktor Talking Machine was sent and presented Lars. Bar.ba came from the black group and served Rain. The green group sent Dorian Craft and Baron, and were the last to arrive with Azur.

Never ones to turn down some acid, Schrödinger’s Box welcome a well-seasoned 303 master into its ranks. With more than a decade’s experience of knob jerking body bending bangers, Snuff Crew are true veterans.

The intent of Always Oldschool is laid bare on the needle drop. Throbbing beats are laced with silver-box squawk as vocals circle in the midnight sweat of “Mile High.” Forged in the sound of Chicago, “Mousehole Groove” is a gnarled and nasty banger brimming with attitude. Accentuating that attitude, Hard Ton arrives to bring his unique vocals to the proceedings. Drenched in simmering decay, spiked with rusted snares, “Jack Until” is an ode to the club and the possibilities it brings. Carrying on from that late night romp, we wake up with “Sunday Morning.” Club comedown? Think again. Piano keys cut a sharp and fine mood with lyrics only pushing the happiness even higher. Smouldering with a touch of something sinister, “Friendship” closes the proceedings.

Always Oldschool burns with a full intensity. A 12” of fiery floor funk and enflamed passions, a 12” that comes with Snuff Crew’s guarantee of sore muscles and a flourish of romance.

New imprint from Paris, Momo's Basement offers us a 4 track EP from Reshuffle Music resident's Mohia and JL.

On the A side, Mohia offers us two trancy and trippy tracks crafted for the dancefloor.

On the B side, JL. delivers a punchy track on B1 and a more Housy track on B2.

Buttechno is Pavel Milyakov, an unknown music producer from Moscow suburbs and one of the local rising underground scenes leading voices. His debut record SPORT is a soundtrack to Russian designer Gosha Rubchinskys AW15 fashion show and this synthy, spasmodic music proves to be as fresh as Rubchinskys works. The world of Buttechno is dark, experimental and ever changing whether he DJs or plays live, he puts audience in a state of deep self-reflective meditation with a variety of tools ranging from astonishing post apocalyptic techno soundscapes to melancholic house structures.

These Tasty Records strikes back with its second instalment, entering 2021 in absolute class.

Opening the ball with 'Retour', it is none other than Cesare setting an essential mood setter, followed by label head Aymeric's 'Old Mechanics' put at work into an acid, proggy and spooky bomb.

'Kapox' by Hubz starts the B-side by soothing the vibe, transporting us straight into the depths of the universe, followed by Muraca's 'Acid Taste', landing the spaceship smoothly and safely back on Earth.

Acid Pauli is a name synonymous with certain aesthetic towards electronic music culture - both a part of the unhooked generation of that grew up experiencing his revelatory sets at places like Bar 25 and Fusion, and yet deeply rooted in musicality and adventurousness. BLD, the second full album from Martin Gretschmann, (aka Acid Pauli), builds on his already impressive back catalogue which spans back to 2005, and includes a debut album released on Nicolas Jaar's Clown and Sunset.

Over the course of the eight tracks here, Gretschmann explores some of the many facets that have made him one of the most trusted artists in his field. Released on his own (and Nico Stojan's) label Ouïe - the album is the perfect expression of the imprint's commitment to diverse, exciting sounds, freed of the conventions of traditional club music.

The album covers a number of moods and emotions, from dystopian carnivalesque vibes to moments of high intensity, through to deep melancholia and synth laden ambience. Gretschmann's well documented love of the sampler shines throughout - tracks are textured and colored with different hues from his extensive sound palette, whether it's a part of his more psychedelic moments, or concentrated on his innate knowledge of dancefloor dynamics.

As such BLD sits together as a complete piece of music - to be relished just as much by blissed out home listeners as the left-field dancers.

Poker Flat Recordings has been dealing out underground house music with a unique twist since 1999; from the defining debut 'Loverboy' through the Bugnology series, acclaimed albums and worldwide club hits, Steve Bug's essential imprint has unearthed new talent, developed rising stars and welcomed veterans into the fold. Steve Bug's reputation as an exceptionally gifted DJ, producer and music connoisseur is about to carry the beloved imprint to its 15th anniversary, which will be celebrated with its finest collection of raw talent yet, starting with this first installment of the anniversary series called 4 Jacks. Following the winning format of the series thus far, Part 3 boasts two slamming new remixes of classics from the vault, and two brand spanking new tracks from Poker Flat's stellar roster. Argy's 'Love Dose' of 2005 marked the debut of one of the scene's most fascinating newcomers, and defined the sound of minimal courtesy of an unforgettable remix by Luciano; now getting a 2014 update, the track has been taken to by the talented duo Audiofly, who makeover its identity with their signature sleek deep tech style. ‘City State’ is the first EP on the newly founded Brussels based label Someguy Records, the brainchild of political journalist Gijs Ramboer, aka Someguy. Includes Different Fountains remix.

This 3rd of the Motordiscs opens with a slow and delighted beat by The JuanMacLean, which turns into an electro mesmerizing track. Is it slow trance or is it some kind of house ? Are we early in the night or late in the after party ? Are we still dreaming ? A2 « Mark 211 » by Javi Redondo takes the energy level up with some acidy synth and punchy snares, proving that the power of a track does not necessarily lies in its speed. It is now time to flip the disc, Naduve takes us later in the night, bringing a murky vibe, thanks to haunting pads and low frequency instruments, picturing a proper underground club. The sun now starts to rise on the Seine river, the last track sounds like an ode to the dawn, where voices and shiny synths will emerge and open the crowd’s eyes. It was « Peppi » by Fairmont. We’re Going Deep’ is a new label run by an old head- Paul Wise, better known as Placid to many who inhabit the realms of underground House and Techno.

Born out of a lifelong affair with the many shades of deep electronic rhythms coupled with a thirst for collecting records since 1988, the label mission is all about releasing new music for the dance floor, front room or even just your headphones.

Rather than staying too hung up on the past, Paul’s reputation for digging deep into Acid, Electro, Techno, Deep House and even the odd slice of downtempo precedes him, as he readies the second instalment on his imprint. Picking up where WGD 001 left off, he’s both humbled and pleased to be able to invite 4 more exceptional artists to show off their finest waveforms.

Volume 2 starts the dance with a sterling contribution from Dublin’s very own machine maestro Cignol, “Night Time Traverse”. Proving once again why his flair for combining tight metronomic drums, wistful melody, blissed out strings with a twist of 303 is second to none: unmistakably tight, unmistakably good. Followed by some heavy head nodding action courtesy of new kid on the block, Armec, he’s already scored 2 fantastic releases under his belt. Fully repping the next generation of mancunian machine enthusiasts, he delves deep into the seedy underworld of deepest and darkest electro with ice cold aplomb on “Celestial Mechanics”.

Hit the flipside and you’ll find Acid aficionado Jared Wilson (who should be no stranger to most) leading the charge as he whips up a storm with a tweaked 303 takeover, led by a mesmerising chord that runs throughout – he works his magic once again in fine style. Last but not least, the dulcet tones of Bristol’s very own best kept secret Gilbert lands another sumptuously deep slab of techno with “Signs of Hope”. Leading with a pleasantly addictive bassline, this beautifully structured whistful symphony oozes warmth and tranquillity as he takes a trip to the light fantastic.

A new philosophy as time enters a radical history of our evolution. Being and nothingness in one, creatures of habit, the angels of nature, we can herald a new humanity.

DJN4 enters in homage. Optimus Yarnspinner. Edification through music bends, but does not break the untameable lost voices. This dissolution of ego, where culture exemplifies the principle of innovation through excess, the nocturnal brain sees only what it seeks.

The order of time is more than a conspiracy of the people, this enforced interlude does not mean culture's end. Our culture, music's culture, acts as a genome, a graffiti of society.

The psy, the rave, the sounds, the species, the food of the gods. Alpha Juno, Cyclon 303, mutable instruments and ideas collated, N4's modern mysticism to harness the Earth as a being of sound. This occult features an anarchism, offering us a collective immortality, allowing us, showing us, how to be more humane.

Across eight tracks, our DJ weaves a journey to the inner and outer digi sphere, a two-year search, in to steppas, out of dub, evoking legitimate synthesis and sensibility. Look beyond Zamonia. The lost Chord. An alien dreamtime. Tales of Z.

2020 saw the Bogota based club launch their eponymous imprint with a far reaching compilation, dropping tracks from a host of artists that perfectly represent the Kaputt sound as they further cement their position as a beacon of the Colombian underground. Now they are back with ten new and exclusive cuts which transcends the club and explores the human impact on the planet, and how nature came back to reclaim their land.

Born in quarantine when nature sounded much louder than usual, VozTerra a local non-profit organization invited people to listen to nature in 'Sounds from your window'. People in Colombia and around the world took the opportunity of the isolation to listen and record ths sounds of nature. The material, together with soundscapes previously recorded in the Van der Hammen Reserve and in the La Conejera Wetland, in Bogotá, were given to DJs from the electronic music scene to create musical pieces which are now part of the 'Reserva/Voz Terra' compilation.

The alliance of Kaputt.wav, VozTerra and the Museum for the United Nations - UN Live, is the compilation of unconventional actions that musicians and people from all over the world took to express their interest in caring for nature with the hope of inspiring people to take action to care for biodiversity and mitigate climate change.
