First up is "Got That". From the filtered intro the listener is instantly hooked and the record progresses with perfect programming and sublime percussion. The rumbling bottom end and stabs seal off this peak time bomb.

On the flip is "Breathe In". Like "Got That" the track has a powerful subby bass that brings energy to the record alongside the crisp percussion and leading onto the drop with the effective vocal.

The fledgling Udacha imprint hit the right spot in calling on Rawax alumnus A5 to head up their first release, and the standards are maintained here with Dices at the helm for a four track drop. Those of you with a good memory (and swift fingers) will no doubt recall Dices from the most recent Leleka 12", collaborating with Vakula on that record's standout track "Bug Powder." On the evidence of this full debut EP, Dices has learnt plenty from his time in the studio with Vakula, veering through various moods and expressions of the house form with a similar attention to detail. Equally adept at glistening, crystalline moments imbued with afro feeling such as "Confuse" and shuffling, disjointed rhythms ("Travel Bug") Dices is clearly the latest graduate from the East European school of house music excellence.

B - Side: Addis Ababa (Afrikanz On Marz Kosmik Rework ) Ashley and his musical partner Darren Morris add their trippy AOM vibes to this rare Studio One classic to create an afro/reggae/drone/psychedelic monster. "COMING WITH DA SOUNDS" sees Puerto Rico's finest let rip. Clattering techno beats with an authentic trademark vibe power towards a (dare we say) 1991 rave break down. Big Synthy sounds make way for the straight up power house that our man is renowned for.

"TIME TRAVEL" A track so close to Sneak's heart, he wouldn't let anyone remix it. The groove is relentless and character warm, just like the great man himself.

On remix duties - Circus and Circus Recordings main man Yousef steps up with a slamming remix of "Coming With Da Sounds," backed by label mate Tom Flynn who takes the cut into a trackier stripped back groove with big drums and lively bass. Another great ep from Circus....

Third album from Germany's Marbert Rocel, a three-piece combining deep electronica, minimal house textures and jazz with classy pop music.

Marbert Rocel spend most of their time looking out of the window and smoking. Then they make music, someone draws for a while, and they soon go back to looking out of the window and making music. Marbert Rocel are twinkle-toed, and yet hardly tangible when you try to grasp them. They combine dance music with songs, songs with cookies and, in turn, cookies with dance music. Therefore, Marbert Rocel spent a lot of time touring - playing gigs in Germany, Holland, Italy, Poland, indoors, outdoors, on the roof, in the cellar, in small groups, in front of many people, and in front of very many people. »It greatly influenced our music. This is the reason as to why we now make ballads at 130 bpm.« At a concert on Enceladus in 2010, Marbert Rocel met Martin Kohlstedt. He seemed to fit perfectly to the band and behind the Rhodes, thanks to his constant eight-armness and his tiger stripes.

Glasgow meanwhile is a straight up high-class deep house work out that's draws you in with a slow burner of a build before moving you with a heads down hands in the air groove. Berlin resident Elef takes the track on a completely different tilt with a Deep Disco style remix including a snare to die for.

Following hot on the heels of DSCNTD 002 the chaps over at Disconnected Sounds drop another forward thinking EP.

This time it's the turn of Hugh Pascall, who's track 'Joy Padding' from the Disconnected Sounds debut EP, can still be found residing in some of the more discerning DJs record bags.
After 002 was supported emphatically by the major record shops and and also featured on the Rob de Bank show, 003 had to be a top draw release.
Luckily, Pascall's classical jazz training has ensured just that. He brings three tracks to the table all with a coherent sound and the variety we have come to expect from the DSCNTD releases.

The record goes from the peak-time dance floor friendly 'Chasing Heat' to the more abstract 'Absence March', which features some incredible live trumpeting. 'Varia Falls' is certainly a track very much of its time, resonating with the current cross fertilsation of music genres. The haunting, atmospheric techno ambiance of Max Cooper also features on this release with his remix of 'Absence March'. Max takes the original and gives it a twist for the dance floor. As usual this record is available as a limited edition 300 press 12", no re-run, hand stamped, individually numbered... a digital release will follow later in the year.

Ardalan (Dirtybird/Gruuv/USA) who was responsible for the infamous Mr.Spock bootleg together with Justin Martin, delivers a more deep and bass driven version of "Alte Frische". The Chosen Two's rolling "Neue Mattheit" was revamped to a funky stepper by Frogs In Socks (Southern Fried/Erase/UK), who describe their music themselves as frogstep ! And now finally on vinyl, the huge Sascha Braemer remix of the Chosen's classic "The Concert" from autumn 2010. Timeless and still very fat !

As the so-called independent, underground club music scene continues to self-police with market trends, unconsciously mimicking the mainstream music industry's demise, we try our best to ignore these unwritten rules and to take risks with unexpected output. In the T-Bet tradition, our latest 12" brings the first collaborative release from two established artists: Gabriele Carasco and Angelina Yershova, who offer the intricate, slowly unfolding Beyond Colors EP. Italian born, Zurich-based DJ/producer Carasco has already released a handful of solo EPs, most recently on Andre Crom's OFF Recordings. Meanwhile, Kazakhstani-born, Rome-based Yershova has a more academic background, having brought her experimental performances to festivals throughout Europe and North America. Does this mean suede elbow patches will become the new club fashion trend for 2012 We do hope this EP paves the way for more reflective moments on the dancefloor....

CocoonClub-Resident SKAI and label scenery darling M.In acclaimed for his work on labels like Loco Dice's Desolat and OFF join the Circus Records family with the release of their Mediterranean flavoured Ultima Tromba EP. The release sets off a new era reviving the label itself in cooperation with Darmstadt based club Magenta, SKAI's home for his monthly event Re:Fresh. With a stunning original gaining early support from the likes of Alex Flatner and Mark Reeve the EP is backed with three remixes. Whilst Dragosh serves us with a reduced version of the original in his hailed Desolat style, Remerc's approach finalises with a Tech-House bomb in the way his recent productions on labels such as Trapez or OFF jar the dancefloors. Label-head Mikel closes the package with an accentuated make-over of the original version representing the House heads on this EP.
