A producer known for his eclectic and melodic sounds, Guy Gerber has delivered the brand-new remix package of his very own ‘What To Do’ production, set for release on Friday 26th October.

Embodying a varied range of sonic arrangements that the Israeli DJ has become synonymous with, the original was released earlier this year and demonstrates varied cymbal-claps and a wide range of isolated percussive instruments. With &ME spinning his own dynamic rework of the track, the German - who has performed a number of sets across Ibiza this summer, playing at DC-10 ’s ‘ Circoloco’ - adds groove-fuelled elements to the mix, a stark contrast to the deep, and driving style favoured by DJ Jes. After debuting on Mr. G's Phoenix G imprint in 2016 with the Unfamiliar Territory EP, Jayson Wynters makes an appearance on DBA for this, his second release, backed by a Kowton remix.

Jayson Wynters is a DJ that is able to combine many genres in one set and make it work. Wynters was first known as a garage MC in Birmingham, before rising to prominence in the city's underground radio and club scene, where he showcased an impressive knowledge of rare groove and house music. As he got older his taste for music began to mature, his collection began to grow, and he soon began to DJ. Using music as an outlet for expression, whether in the form of DJing or having fun on some drum machines and synths, is one of the most defining features to Wynters. He continues to fuel his passion by keeping an eye on the future rather than the past and striving to remain different.

After reissuing the classic Cassiopeia by Nail, Mysticisms return with more cosmically charged party cuts geared towards wiggy dancefloors inside and out. The Alchemy 12" brings together some of the label's key characters to date and some new crew, leading in with the heady, sticky thump of Persian's "Worries In The Dance" as faithfully remixed by Jonny Rock. Vertigo Inc eschew common dynamics for a loping, acoustic groove that favours more esoteric spaces while retaining a strange forward momentum and bewildering atmosphere. Asian Psilocybe Foundation get into a trippy strain of tech house with the gorgeous "Wave Control", and then Afrobuddha rounds the set out with the deeply layered Kakatsitsi drumming of "Obame (Treat Mix)".

As audacious as they get, round two of this LTD series takes a slice of late ‘90s gold, and layers it over a stomping house beat.

A pure masterclass in how to get a party started, with the kind of sampling that works oh so well when it’s juiced up into a cut like this.

Starting from P1, Liquid Earth gets a great start off the line with ‘Spooky Snorkel’. A banging spaced out breaks and retro house track with scratches that build and release tension, dropping into heart opening leads. Daisy Boy makes his debut in P2 with a new power unit and a breakbeat techno anthem, ‘The Feeling Of Doing It Again’. A relentless genre bending inside line that builds and builds leaving you in a trance. Second row P3 is by smooth operator, Nachtbraker. 'Marcus Howl' stays cool on a hot track with a super moody number full of acid howls that bring the dance floor back down to earth. Huerta closes out the grid in P4 with his hypnotic ‘Seekers’. Don't sleep on P4, even though it is a dubby dream.

1-800 Girls makes his eagerly awaited return to the Shall Not Fade catalog with a 4-track tribute to the early-hours ravers. With skittering drums, synth plucks and peppers of whimsical vocals, When U Call EP captures a sound at once blissfully nostalgic to 90s rave, and boldly forward-facing in its mutation of today's scene-defining sounds of UK Bass.

Although barely discernible underneath off-kilter synth stabs and squelching drums, Burial-esque vocal chops do their best to haunt the title track, colouring it with both a sense of melancholy and deliverance. On that same note, enter "OCB". Its stripped-back successor
is equally as moody yet somewhat more modest with a mournful melody and minimal drums.

The aptly-named "Start Over" welcomes a switch in mood. With high-pitched staccato vocals and an up-beat drum pattern, its trancey-tempered quality is not a million miles away from the music of Overmono. Finally, listeners of the EP's closer "Move With Me" need little more than the title's instruction as its 150 BPM and pop-adjacent vocals do all the talking.

It's time now for Jimi Jules' second installment of exclusives from his recent Watergate Mix compilation and this one is heavily focused on Jules' collaborations, remixes and edits. Starting off with his collaboration with Jules & Jesaya +4 BPM edit of heavyweights Âme's 119 BPM, where hefty, pumping low end and slick, rigorous hats set the pace for a brutal but sexy bassline guaranteed to demolish any dance floor at any moment. Jimi Jules & Domenico Ferrari's 'Parkuhr' follows up with a focus on slick, low slung minimalism as a seemingly simple groove is highlighted with playful vocals, wobbly sonic effects and a real life conversation interjected as the break.

Changing gears, Jules takes a dive into the past on his remix of Egopusher's 'Flake' where cinematic storytelling and flickers of Italo Disco seem to blend seamlessly creating a timeless composition that will shine for an eternity to come. For the final cut of the EP, Jimi takes us back to a place we seem to know him best on his remix of Ed Ed & Petja Virikko's 'Sundroina feat Jinadu' where he creates wildly sexy cuts with his signature organic percussion palette, lavish keys and starry eyed vocals.

Remix time! The ever on-point andhim look back over their last two releases on their Superfriends imprint and call up some good friends for a few cheeky version excursions: Johannes Albert, Kalupke, Neil Landstrumm and Toto Chiavetto. The results leave no stone unturned…

First come the remixes of the duo’s last single ‘Buenos Aires’. Deeper and more contemplative than the German duo’s originals, Johannes Albert adds a whole new melodic layer and classic late 80s Mr Fingers style twist to ‘Aires’ while Kalupke takes ‘Buenos’ on more of a journeyman vibe. Warm pads are dominant character and while the original’s pipes remain the mystic focus there’s a great lolloping, long-winding road feel to the drums.

Deeper into this epic trove we dive as Neil Landstrumm does what he does best and completely turns ‘Duno’ inside out. Full attention on the warped electroid bass, it’s a no messing piece of trippy techno with a hook your dancefloor will be singing for days. Finally the unstoppable Toto Chiavetta closes business with a complete curveball remix of ‘Windows 85’. Taking the jazzy, freestyle Latin instrumentation and reboosting it with heightened synth wizardry, he’s effectively turned a small local church into a towering cathedral… With more than enough space for you and every single one of your mates to dance in.

Dutch producer Joren Edwards debuts on Archie Hamilton's Moss Co. with three trippy cuts entitled 'For The Terrace' EP.

Music production student at the infamous Herman Brood Academy, Joren Edwards is an exciting prospect from Utrecht, Netherlands, gaining support from the likes of Benny Rodrigues and Archie Hamilton. Beyond his production, he also DJs across Holland, performing at respected clubbing institutions like Shelter, Thuishaven, Straf_werk, Basis and the late Sugarfactory. Archie Hamilton's creative subseries to Moscow, Moss. Co has delivered many
dynamic projects since its birth in 2013, such as Ferro, Nu Zau, TIJN, Hanfry Martinez, Stephan Bazbaz, Dan Farserelli and Mariano Mateljan.

'For The Terrace' presents close to nine minutes of rolling drums, with
shimmering arps that envelope into acidy tones amidst warm vocals. 'Change' then offers a contrasting open-hat shuffle ahead of fluttering chord stabs, before 'Searching For You' delivers dreamy pads pushed by a steady bass groove and
clinical hats.

Michael James debuts on Infuse to open the New Year, delivering three original productions in the form of his ‘Fat Earth’ EP. A surging name within the scene, Manchester’s Michael James is quickly becoming a staple name in the record bags of some of the biggest names in the game following an impressive string of releases via the likes of Constant Sound and sub-imprint Constant Black, Mulen Records and Hoarder.

Taking inspiration from artists including Ricardo Villalobos and Zip through to Raresh, Rhadoo and Barac, the blossoming producer, DJ and digger has forged a sound combining his own take on house, minimal and dub techno – resulting in appearances at the likes of fabric (London), S.A.S.H (Sydney) and DC-10 (Ibiza), not to mention his long-standing residency at The Zoo Project. Opening 2020, here we see James’ latest effort as he touches down on FUSE sister label Infuse to reveal the infectious three-track ‘Fat Earth’ EP.

Title cut ‘Fat Earth’ opens proceedings in slick fashion, fusing skipping hats and evolving electronics amongst swinging rhythms, whilst ‘O.H. Groove’ ups the energy as rumbling low-ends and slinking percussion licks go to work revealing a lively effort perfect for the peak time or the after-hours. Last up, ‘Guidance’ sees out the package as tripped out vocal snippets interject amongst sweeping synths and rich drum shots, rounding out an impressive label debut from the blossoming UK talent.

Thirteen years after his whopping ‘Time and Space’ EP, Chicago 'O.G.' Mark Grusane returns to the Rush Hour imprint with his ‘Dance Intensity’ EP. Combining trademark electro, wave, synth-pop and disco elements into three modern dancefloor cuts.

Nimbus are three chaps originally from the house music epicentre of Woking, England. In the early 2000s, Oli, Jonathan and Pete carted a gigantic Dell computer between each other's houses to craft a modest but timeless back catalogue of deep and emotional tracks. Their music was featured on European labels Bitboutique and the excellent Iron Box Music at the time; of which "Entron" a particular shining example of their sound, only recently gained notoriety amongst a number of discerning DJs. For Those That Knoe is proud to present a sonic snapshot of those times the lads spent in the home counties with three previously released cuts from the aforementioned labels and one taken from their unreleased archives.

After his very well received EP on Freerange earlier this year, label boss APOENA brings back Allnite Music with a different approach and delivers high class old school dubness.

Following the runaway success of his label debut ‘Mvinline’, Boys Noize returns to Defected for the anticipated follow-up single ‘All I Want’, featuring the unmistakable vocals of Scissor Sisters frontman Jake Shears. Starting its life as a basic demo made by the pair years ago for Alex (aka Boys Noize) to play at one of Jake’s infamous NYC apartment parties, it had since remained a hidden gem on a broken hard drive since that very night. Years later, Alex rediscovered the track and decided to give it new life for 2021, giving way to ‘All I Want’. Taking inspiration from classic Chicago house for the original, this 12” package also features Boys Noize’s NRG Remix, which features the verse of the original demo, and remixes from platinum selling artist Purple Disco Machine, who lends his signature bounce and funk, and Life And Death founder DJ Tennis, who adds depth to the release with hazy, atmospheric mix.

Debuting on Classic Music Company earlier in 2021 with ‘Right There / Holy Ghost’, Floorplan return to Luke Solomon’s imprint to deliver another divine two-tracker ‘Get My Mansion Ready / Out Of Control’ to close out the year. Created as an outlet for Robert Hood’s soulful, spiritual influences, the techno pioneer welcomed his daughter Lyric into the group in 2014 where it has since gone from strength to strength, as they consistently deliver evergreen cuts under the moniker. Opening the release with ‘Get My Mansion Ready’, Floorplan’s signature big chords and bigger vocal hooks are underlined with a ferocious techno bassline ready to pump the dancefloor with life. ‘Out Of Control’ goes deeper and darker, a hypnotic looped vocal and menacing builds employed to almost theatrical effect. Combining to make an EP bursting with club appeal, it’s time to get to know these cuts, as you’ll be hearing them across dancefloors for some time to come.

For the 3rd release of Cartulis Music sub-label ALT Records they invited French old school head Chris Carrier. Spanning over 20 years of music making Chris has produced and collaborated in the release of very special music. On this one is no different under his newest moniker FSK24. The EP is filled with moods and swings of all sorts. From electro/breakbeat into more Detroit oriented sounds.

WHITE VINYL REPRESS: Gary Martin is well known for his unique productions and his label Teknotika is surely a classic coming out of the famous motor city. This special 10" holds two sought after tracks that were found on a lost DAT tape by Yossi Amoyal and Gary Martin himself. The inimitable Honey Dijon delivers a preview of her forthcoming album ‘Black Girl Magic’ with ‘La Femme Fantastique’. Continuing to be a magnet for the most forward-thinking and exciting artists, here Honey teams up with London based DJ, producer and vocalist Josh Caffe, also inspiring a remix from heralded experimental artist KiNK and his fellow Sofia resident and protégé KEi. Capturing the energy of a hot and steamy dancefloor in full flow, this special edition, 12” purple vinyl package shows Honey’s unapologetic, hedonistic and achingly cool style at its finest. Opening with the raw, seductive interlude ‘Introducing La Femme Fantastique’, Honey’s industrial and electrifying club cut follows, as Josh’s captivating vocal narrates, the hypnotic lyrics are echoed with her mesmerising production. 'Classic Music Company presents Chicago Nouveaux' brings together the new-breed collective of exceptionally talented Chicago-based artists on a single release. Shaun J Wright & Alinka contribute 'Wang's On Broadway' and 'Matters Of The Heart' - the latter coming with a remix courtesy of Smart Bar's own The Black Madonna while Chrissy drops 'Join Me' with Miles Bonny on vocals, complete with a re-edit for the one & only Rahaan.

Italian duo Agents Of Time have been incredibly busy over the past few years, from releasing a string of classic singles – including their recent single for Afterlife, “The Mirage”, which earned more than five million views on Instagram – to remixing The Weeknd’s “Take My Breath”, which appeared on his recent Dawn FM (Alternative World). But the biggest news is here now – their second album, Universo, is ready. Elevating their trademark melodic techno with an exquisite pop-ness, Universo has found its ideal home with Kompakt, following their Music Made Paradise 2020 debut EP for the label. It’s a meeting of minds that makes perfect sense.

Andrea Di Ceglie and Luigi Tutolo, the two members of Agents Of Time, used their time during the pandemic to work on Universo, an album loosely conceptualised around their ‘personal universo’, a manifestation of the world Di Ceglie and Tutolo built both within and around their studio. This accounts for the sparkle and brightness of Universo – it’s full of personality, vim and vigour, the duo experimenting with their music, exploring its furthest corners. If you come to Universo expecting just another album of melodic techno, get ready to be pleasantly surprised – there’s a whole lot more going on here, and it’s all equally compelling.

After a typically poetic opening gesture – the swirling, synaesthetic, self-titled intro track – expectations are immediately blindsided with the two-step pop of “Fallin’”, sung with gentle clarity by guest Audrey Janssens, a dream of a song that harks back to the glory days of early ‘00s UK garage. “Interstellar Cowboy” is a confident, lithe, disco-fied strut; the gentle minor-key piano of “Liquid Fantasy” spirals into a gorgeously melancholy techno-pop epic, Vicky Who?’s voice rich with yearning. This rich variety throws the more dancefloor-focused tracks, like “Ciao”, into even starker relief – they’re more decisive, streamlined, yet rich with detail, chugging, Moroder-esque bass meeting strobe-lit synths that fire melodies out into the firmament. Universo feels texturally dense, but it still breathes, its sounds so tactile you want to reach out and grab them, its tunes so seductive you can’t get them out of your head. Das italienische Duo Agents Of Time war in den letzten Jahren unglaublich fleißig, von der Veröffentlichung einer Reihe klassischer Singles - darunter ihre jüngster Beitrag für Afterlife, "The Mirage", der mehr als fünf Millionen Aufrufe auf Instagram erhielt - bis hin zum Remix von The Weeknds "Take My Breath", der auf dessen aktuellen Album “Dawn FM (Alternative World)” erschien. Aber die bahnbrechendeste Neuigkeit ist erst jetzt endlich da - ihr zweites Album "Universo" ist fertig! “Universo" verbindet ihr Markenzeichen, melodischen Techno, mit einer besonderen Pop-Haltung und findet nach der EP "Music Made Paradise 2020" sein ideales Zuhause bei Kompakt. Eine Seelenverwandtschaft, die absolut Sinn macht.

Andrea Di Ceglie und Luigi Tutolo, die beiden Mitglieder von Agents Of Time, nutzten die Zeit während der Pandemie, um an "Universo" zu arbeiten, einem Album, das lose um ihr "persönliches Universum" herum konzipiert ist, eine Manifestation der Welt, die Di Ceglie und Tutolo in und um ihr Studio herum aufgebaut haben. Das macht den besonderen Glanz und die strahlende Helligkeit von "Universo" aus - es strotzt nur so von Persönlichkeit, Elan und Kraft, das Duo experimentiert mit Musik und erkundet auch noch deren entfernteste Ecken. Wer bei "Universo" nur ein weiteres Album mit melodischem Techno erwartet, wird angenehm überrascht sein - hier ist viel mehr los, und alles ist gleichermaßen spannend.

Nach einer poetischen Eröffnungsgeste - dem wirbelnden, synästhetischen, selbstbetitelten Intro-Track - werden mit dem 2-Step-Pop von “Fallin” alle Erwartungen sofort über den Haufen geworfen. Mit sanfter Klarheit von Gastsängerin Audrey Janssens gesungen, ist “Fallin” ein Traum von einem Song, der an die großen Zeiten von UK-Garage in den frühen 00er Jahre erinnert. "Interstellar Cowboy" ist ein selbstbewusstes, geschmeidig über den Laufsteg stolzierender Disco-Track; das sanfte Moll-Klavier von "Liquid Fantasy" entwickelt sich zu einem wunderbar melancholischen Techno-Pop-Epos, mit Vicky Who?’s Stimme voller Sehnsucht . Danach taucht auch Janssens Gesang auf dem Elektro-Wirbel von "Poison" wieder auf; "Dream Vision" greift die Single "The Mirage" auf, sanft und mit schwungvollen Streichern, voller Dramatik; "Part Of Life" dagegen ist ein echter Schaffel-Stomp.

All der Abwechslungsreichtum lässt eher tanzflächenorientierte Tracks wie "Ciao" noch deutlicher hervortreten - sie wirken noch entschlossener, stromlinienförmiger und dennoch reich an Details, pluckernde, Moroder-eske Bässe treffen auf stroboskopisch blitzende Synths, von denen aus die Melodien ins Firmament schießen. “Universo” fühlt sich textlich dicht an, aber es atmet trotzdem, seine Klänge sind so greifbar, dass man sie anfassen möchte, seine Melodien so verführerisch, dass man sie nicht mehr aus dem Kopf bekommt. “Universo” ist ein wunderschönes, mutiges Album, ein perfekter Treffpunkt von Pop-Melodien und stilvollem Techno: Agents Of Time in excelsis.

For the fourth installment of the ELEGAL RECORDS sub-label, Klasse Wrecks is happy to present 4 different versions of a track that originally came out in 1993. Produced by the South London duo Aura (Gary Folgate and Dave Tutt), the track featured on an EP of the same name and was originally released by Infectious Records. Now specially remastered and remixed for 2022, the record comes with new versions from original group member Electron Forest (Dave Sage) and label regulars Luca Lozano and DJ Steve. The original tracks parts are picked apart in the new remixes, most making weighty use of the signature pipe drum melody (which was originally made by hitting lengths of plastic pipe with table tennis bats). Electron Forest turns in a wonderfully produced version, this is modern Trance with stylish elements perfectly executed. Luca Lozano provides what is now expected from the producer, a stomping breakbeat-led groover that introduces new vocals to peak the interested while DJ Steve turns in an ever impressive and original sounding Bleep-Techno interpretation, replaying the original parts with new synthesizers providing the tunes.

More than ever before on Koze's records, there are fascinating, individualist - and well-known - voices through out Knock Knock but again, each of them is rendered strange, drawn into a different reality Bon Iver's ghostly hymnals samples on Bonfire' are very recognisably Bon Iver, but the way they twist and merge with synthetic sounds until choir and computer are writhing around one another in bliss are something else. The ever-unique Róisín Murphy, on two stunning tracks, becomes a cyborg funk diva. Speech from Arrested Development delivers luscious and lazy R&B-funk on Colors of Autumn', but Koze's warping bass, dubwise echo and alien nature sounds take it to an alternate dimension tropical landscape. Kurt Wagner of Lambchop is a vocoder bohemian, Sophia Kennedy is a sci-fi Weimar cabaret star, José Gonzalez a holographic projection from an old film of South Sea Islands... on it goes, nothing is real, everyone is an inhabitant of Koze-world.

Brixton electronic label Dream Diary announces the arrival of Abstract Chemistry EP by veteran UK producer and DJ Aubrey. The release marks the seventh in the label’s catalogue.

When Dream Diary were scouting talent for the label’s next round of releases, the name Aubrey came up with enthusiasm. The team met Aubrey in Berlin over a long weekend, inviting him to record his next release for the London label. The only stipulation in the arrangement required that the EP follow the Dream Diary tradition of being written and recorded at Octagon, the label’s home base and recording studio in Brixton.

Aubrey took up the offer and camped out at Octagon for a week in the fall, crafting a house and techno trifecta sprinkled with the studio’s choice collection of analog equipment. On Abstract Chemistry, Aubrey plays into his signature fusion of vigorous grooves and textured sound design, fitting perfectly into Dream Diary’s discography of spirited electronic music.

Active in the UK techno scene since the early 1990s, Aubrey’s prolific output spans nearly a hundred releases over a nearly 30 year career. His third full length album Gravitational Lensing was released earlier this year on Out Electronics Recordings, following recent releases on Assemble Music, Barba Records, Metroplex and Curle Recordings.
