The LVCA & Marlon story continues with some not so fine dining on the newly launched Proper Grub label. The “On The Metro” EP is bursting with animated and energetic action for the dance floor synonymous with the guys' productions in recent times on Ibiza Sound Machine and Sock It To Me.

Each of the four tracks teases playful moods constructed upon tightly arranged bass lines, wacky percussion grooves, and crisp drum patterns. All of the ingredients come together to create refined and tasteful flavours for the club, cooking on full gas all night long.

You&Me’s latest recruit Paddy Lee steps up first debut release. The young gun steps up to deliver 2 original club ready tracks accompanied by a close friend of the label LVCA delivering a sophisticated and wonky remix.

Rest assured all tracks from the release will erupt the dance floor as they’ve been tried and tested by the You&Me crew over the last 12 months.

Label’s family tree is getting bigger and bigger, and looks like soon we will have a fully packed roster from all corners of the world. But for now, to celebrate a full dozen of records from Exarde, we wanted to get in touch with our new brother from the land of the rising sun. Mr. Sugimoto is not a newcomer to the electronic scene but only recently he started to release his own music.

Looks like Riku has his own delicate world, where he fuses and juggles with a lot of personal representations of the dancefloor “styles” if we may say. Sugimoto's record is balancing on a razor blade between a full-blown party and that feeling of some peculiar hi-fi nostalgia. We are welcoming everybody under his private curtains where air is filled with accurate melodies and raw mechanical grooves.

"Metafloor Records Wax" launches it's first release with a summer VA compilation with fresh new music from Artmann, Matteo Dufour, Hart & Neenan, Philipp Lichtblau & Robin Fett.

The label has provided a platform for emerging artists such as Close to Custom, Den Haas, Max Dean & Million and now, after two successful years, the team are ready to reveal a new chapter with a vinyl only series.

The A-side kicks off with Artmann's 'One Step Ahead,' which features lush, uplifting chord progressions coupled with deeper pads and euphoric vocal interjections. Matteo Dufour follows with 'I House You, a certified club-tool offering vintage house flavours combined with soaring organ melodies.

On the flipside, Philipp Lichtblau delves deeper with shuffling modular percussion and a menacing baseline with his track "Blackbay." Robin Fett collaborates with Hart & Neenan to round off the package with the moody offering "Late Night Claims." The final track is designed for the darker sets featuring a deep rumbling low-end with an array of off-beat snares and warped vocals scattered throughout.

Partisan sub label PILLZ continues to fire on all cylinders in 2023, this time Anthea & Velasco call on UK beatmakers; Duowe & Picasso. The Fraise Records founders showcase their diverse sound with the Twisted Traxx EP, spaced out and gritty peak time action from the rising trio, touching on refined and mysterious shades of tech house and electro with a distinct drive. The third outing on the PILLZ off shoot, this club curious four tracker undoubtedly fitting the ethos of the label.

After a first succesful release, Lyon based crew YA.R is back with their second release that brings you a different vibe, darker, more energic that leads toward the deep hours of the night.

Aladdin starts with the brighter track, a light track, which will bring you a silly smile and which borders on derision with samples of phone commercials, riffs of old school Trance and acid lines.

Funktroid take the A side a step further into the Trance flavour, this one will hit the dancefloor just the right way it has to be done, big acid lines that will melt your face down and airy pads that will raise your conscience into a higher state.

The B side welcomes our guest Obsidian, a project started by 3 talented space explorer. As you can hear their music comes directly from the year 2123, they will take you on an interstellar journey with their spaceship moving at speedlight with no feel of disturbances.

Then we have our local heroes Sela & Zgelt who invites you to share their mystical beverages so that you can land gently from this journey while contemplating the stars and the interstellar void.

Chicago artist Justin Kay was hugely prolific in his day and world under several different nom de plume. Now some of his best work is being revisited for a series of posthumous releases. He traversed several different sound worlds with equal aplomb from bright pop to sludge metal via IDM. Under his Cosmic AC alias he manages to mix up equal parts ambient bliss with breakbeat action, raw techno and emotive house. The standouts of this Continuations album come thick and fast from the high speed jungle breaks of 'Blue Whirl' to the jazzy downtempo delights of 'Hedge Clipper' and plenty in between. See also the majestic pop serenity of closer 'WTWIRDYMTBOWSA.'

Renowned for the weightiest of rollers, Digwah drops another hand stamped, one sided slice of techy brilliance.

Pure low end, pinging synths and tough percussion coupled with an audacious, chopped, screwed and spun out noughties vocal that will have the club jumpin no matter what time it is.

Two years may seem like a very short stop gap between original release and reissue, but when the music comes at this kind of grade who's complaining? Much like his contemporaries such as Fred P and DJ Qu, Patrice Scott's take on deeper-than-deep house conjure up ambient fantasies coloured with twinkling synth lines and slowly exhaled pads. It's not all fuzzed-out bliss though, as "2000 Black" sneaks a warm and snarling bassline amidst the soothing elements around it. "Mind Rhythms" especially shines with its combination of heavy groove and intricate melodies bubbling away under the surface.

With the original already sitting pretty on 5m+ streams on Spotify alone, the super talented Hayley May got back in the vocal booth and laid down 2 brand new verses and the ‘Vocal Mix’ was born which has radio and sun-drenched summer terraces written all over it.

As if that wasn’t enough, there is also a special dub rework from none other than MK (aka Marc Kinchen) who makes his way onto the label for the first time. A revered DJ, remixer, and producer in his own right, with a career spanning over 20 years, MK has become synonymous with the House Music scene globally, garnering success around the world with his remixes and original productions.

In true MK fashion, this edit of ‘How I Feel’ is one purely for the heads. Turning the original completely on its head from a Piano House anthem to a deep club groover, MK showcases his talents and why he is one of the best around. A vibey, club ready, bumping dub, MK mixes a ground shaking groove with a killer deep bass line that you can feel vibrating in your chest. Huge!

Stepping up to the plate for our final remix is Biscits, the Southampton born and bred artist & producer who has been making huge waves recently.

Having knocked heads already on their huge collab ‘Ready 2 Dance’ feat. Anelisa Lamola, Biscits seemed like a natural choice to remix Martin’s 2019 hit ‘How I Feel’. Pumped up and ready to hit the dance floor, Biscits pulls out a stomping Tech banger. Along with MK’s Dub & the Vocal Mix of the original, this is shaping up to be an all-out, killer collection of club edits ready to tear up clubs and dance floors the world over…

Celebrating the 150th vinyl EP release, and as a prelude to 15 years of Poker Flat Recordings, Steve Bug returns to his own label to drop a sizzling three track EP of powerful, seductive house music. Lead cut 'Pelican Glide' exhibits his trademark driving grooves and highly effective off-kilter synths - the sort of track that turns dance floors and festivals upside down when dropped at the right moment. The deep kick hits hard while clever interplay between pads, melodic leads and percussion keep the tension finely tuned. Fellow Berliners youANDme yield a remix of 'Pelican Glide", which transforms the track into something spacey and cinematic, before subtly reintroducing Steve Bug's killer synth line. In the past 6. years, SOLVD became one of the most prominent promotors in Slovenia hosting names such as Janeret, Varhat, Andrey Pushkarev, Lowris and many others. The summer of 2022 brings another milestone in their journey with launching SOLVD label. The first release comes from the label’s main force Alex Ranerro, who delivered three sublime but dance-floor orientated tracks that have his signature touch written all over them. Rutilance Records co-owner Gunnter delivered deeper shaded remix, which perfectly rounds up the opening statement from the newly-born Slovenian record label. The imprint promises to showcase all shades of house music through talented up-comers as well as established producers.

Cristi Cons lands with his debut on Adam's Bite, serving up two pristine cuts of electronic wizardry. The label has previously meddled in strong 90ies aesthetics, delivering starry-eyed homages to days long gone. With the eternal wunderkind at the controls, things get kicked up another notch: following efforts from his peers, he's unearthing, deconstructing, and reassembling some of Frankfurt's halcyon days' most essential sonics.

Drop the needle on the A side to access „Black Swan”, a contemporary house burner perfectly imagining the early trance experiments heard in the dark womb of dance music history. Sprawling across the flipside, „Ahead of the Curve” finds Cristi Cons exploring the psychedelic side of this sound, revealing delicate details to lose your mind in – and a playful bassline keeping bodies earthbound and flowing. Zipping and zapping from Goa to Mainlandia via Bucharest, there's plenty to fall in love with here. Over and over again.

Rotterdam rising star Danou P steps up to Jamie 3:26’s label with a three-track EP of emotive deep house.

The title track ‘Allez Hoop’ is deep, moody and somewhat reminiscent of an electronic ‘Riders On The Storm’. Lush strings, analogue leads, classic Rhodes and a barely containable synth sequence stacked on top of a driving groove.

‘Jazz Dummy’ sees Danou P collaborate with fellow Rotterdam based artist Kems Kriol. It’s a classic sounding track drenched in live percussion and that good old M1 saxophone.

Closing out the EP ‘So Fruit’ is an homage and inside joke gone wrong in a good way. Funky electric piano stabs and rhythmic synths in a sandwich of punchy drums and thick bass. It pays tribute to an absolute classic track and features an epic flute solo by Moises Toscano Fuentes.

Eddie Leader has had his most productive year since releasing his first record under the Slum Science alias in 2004. Leader has delivered music on labels like Jovonn’s Body n’ Deep, Doorly’s Reptile Dysfunction, the iconic Hard Times label and his own Hudd Traxx in the past 12 months, most recently collaborating with Chez Damier on ‘Pressure’. This record is by far the deepest of them all. ‘Lost in…’ kicks things off and takes you on a deep hypnotic journey along the house spectrum. ‘The Unknown’ has a raw and underground vibe with a heavy bass line and takes inspiration from both Chicago & Detroit. The Tribal Manifestation Mix of ‘The Unknown' picks up the tempo on the B side for a peak time dancefloor rework. Eddie closes out the EP with ‘You’, which is a smooth vocal infused early hours future classic. Hudd Traxx have also had a very productive year and there’s still more to come in 2023.

Following on from the standout second Ciao Italia compilation, the mighty Rebirth bring together another collection of tracks that surf between the past, present and future, highlighting the importance and continued influence of the Italo dream house world.

Alternate versions, unheard gems, certified classics and pure class as you’d expect from the likes of Doni & Leo Young, Pastaboys and the coming together of G.P.M., Steve Mantovani, Dan-E-MC and Daniele Mad alongside a double dose of new productions flying the flag for dream house via Hiver and Feel Fly.

Big Zen makes his entrance on Mood Hut records with Prayer Bass, a freely focused collection of euphoric funk-splashed club-cuts from the much-loved Vancouver underground legend. Those who have seen him play at free parties in the park or at the many under-cover basements of Vancouver City will already know what Prayer Bass is all about.

After many sessions and years of friendship both on and off the dance floor we are pleased to finally work with Big Zen. Following up his recently self-released 'Mirror Cut' 12" here Big Zen continues to swim out into the technicolour deep: Prayer bass is purple, Sugar Coated is frosty cream, Cash Splash is lightning blue, Rumble Ball is tangerine.

With the opening track providing an atmospheric techno masterpiece, dubspeeka's production ability shines through with a staccato synth melody providing a unique listening experience. Staying true to the melodic techno sound that has propelled dubspeeka to the forefront of the global underground music stage, K354 and K375 showcases his ability to conjure varying sounds with chilling vocal samples and distorted percussion sounding out through each production respectively. With dubspeeka's prominence within the techno world flourishing faster than any other artist within the field, 'Unfriended' makes yet another decisive point in this eclectic artists career.

Cyphon Recordings welcome DJ, producer, musician, and D.KO co-owner Flabaire for the fourth outing on the label.

At just 29, the Parisian artist, already has a fair share of victories under his belt. On his acclaimed D.KO imprint, which will celebrate its 10th anniversary this year, he’s released three albums and several EPs, as well as charting releases for Organic-Music, Deeppa Records and South Street.

For his next solo EP, he brings his beautifully affecting and nostalgic blend of electro, IDM, and deep house to Cyphon. Doing what he does best, Flabaire’s ‘Entre-Deux’ is an EP brimming with emotion and atmosphere. Pulling at the heartstrings, opener ‘In Between’ layers an electro beat over lush pads with iridescent synth lines rising out of the haze. Cowbells swing into action, pads swell and glisten, making way for a squelchy 303 to bubble underneath.

‘No Minding’ moves into softer realms, a serene blend of deep house and electronica, it’s paced by a warm bass bounce and shuffling percussion sprinkled with chopped vocal samples and bright keys. Flabaire’s bass mastery continues ‘Click Plok’, as does his deftness at producing delicate, gliding pads, this time punctuated by tight bleeps, gentle open hats, and a meandering synth solo.

Closing out the EP the atmospheric ‘FBG’, a balmy syncopated groove joined by twinkling synth melodies that dance over dusty breakbeats and hushed vocal stutters.

My Light, My World is a gorgeously slammin’ four track release by Brooklyn-based Ryan Clover on Eris Drew’s Ecstatic Editions imprint. We fell in love with Ryan’s music as we wore out the grooves on his killer 12 inch for ARTS. The tracks featured on My Light, My World are a perfect fit for Ecstatic Editions because, much like Eris’s sets, the tracks are beautiful musically and genuinely emotional, but they also seriously slap and translate powerfully on large sound systems. It is hard to find Big Room records with so much heart, so the label jumped to sign the tracks and prepare the project for release.

Clover’s arrangements on the EP unfold in truly magical and unexpected ways with buildups giving way to gorgeous musical passages. “We Love (We Feel)” is a heartfelt instrumental which sets the tone for the record, while the title tune “My Light, My World” declares boldly “ITS ON!” before heeding to woozy chords and a sax riff that sounds amazing in the mix. Flip the record over for “Here We F***ing Go!” which is a total boast track for deck players but doesn’t lose its sweetness in the process, and the powerfully fun closer “Let Me Tell U Sumthin’” which reminds sweaty dancefloors that “Love Is Special.” Ecstatic Editions hopes you’ll put your needle in the groove and dance hard to one of the season’s sweetest bangers.

A luscious collection of rare and sought after Italo house gems from the golden era of 90-93 when clubbers from Rimini, Ibiza and beyond couldn’t get enough of those hedonistic summer dancefloor ecstasy vibes.

Including 13 tracks carefully selected by Brescia based, Rebirth label boss Shield, with the Art direction of Stupefacente studio, ranging from the formerly unreleased, rare as F, and very, very expensive records (ranging from £20 to £200 per copy) all beautifully presented in this retro styled 1990 world cup sleeve along with a 20 page booklet with a background story to this influential sound. Tracks featured from DJ Ralf, Alex Neri, Optik, Morenas, Sueño Latino, Leo Anibaldi and many many more.

Glaswegian House don Tiptoes offers up some absolute belters for his Record Business EP which chalks up his 3rd appearance on the Slothboogie label. The SB crew have been gagging to release these tracks ever since he dropped early demos at one of their infamous 24-hour parties at Sisyphos, Berlin that caused a mad rush to the booth and demands for track IDs!

The title track ‘Record Business’ is a peak time filtered House bomb that has been causing mayhem in sets over the past year… an absolute ear worm! 'Call Me' is another juicy slab of HOUSE that features looped up Motown licks, Jackin’ brass stabs and someone who is not very happy that Tiptoes hasn’t been returning her calls! Finishing off the A side is ‘Food’; the very essence of a ‘Deep House Roller’. Hypnotic tonal loops cycle over tribal drums which are guaranteed to lock any dance floor into a trance.

On the flip you’ll find Tiptoes dimming the lights and getting smokey as he explores his deeper side. ‘Brothers & Sisters’ supplies deep and hazy head nodding beats with clever MPC chops, blissed out keys and spoken word arrangements. ‘It’s Only Love’ sees Tiptoes bringing his motor city influences to the fore with looped up soul snippets, breathy KDJ inspired vocals, thumping lo-slung beats and chopped up string sections worthy of any car wash.

A tribute to the late Kenny Hawkes, London's dark lord of house music. Lovingly selected and curated by Luke Solomon, Jonny Rock and Leon Oakey.

Running from 1995 to 2002, 'Space' was a Wednesday night founded by Kenny Hawkes and Luke Solomon. It inhabited the underground world of Bar Rumba right in the heart of London's West End and took place each and every week. Kenny and Luke had both been regular fixtures on infamous London Pirate Radio station 'Girls FM', and were seeking a suitable place to play the kind of music they supported on their respective radio shows. They were presented with a weekly opportunity at Bar Rumba and snapped it up.

'Space' was THE place for 7 solid years, hosting local and international guests from the house music community week in week out, to 200+ hardcore and dedicated followers. Regular guest bookings read like a 'who's who' of the music scene with sets from Derrick Carter, Andrew Weatherall, DJ Harvey, Tom Middleton, A Man Called Adam, Ralph Lawson and Huggy, Harri and Domenic, Francois Kevorkian, Salt City Orchestra, Carl Cox, Chez Damier and Ron Trent.... the list goes on and on and on! Music from seminal record labels such as Classic, Prescription, Cajual, Paper, Relief was played on rotation amongst a killer mix of Disco classics, alternative 80s music, left-field B-sides and techno. The night undeniably became a cauldron of amazing music and midweek hedonistic chaos.

As Soho changed beyond recognition and clubbing moved Eastwards, Kenny and Luke decided to call it a day. Sadly, Kenny Hawkes died in 2011, leaving a huge hole in the dance music community. Kenny was a legendary figure with an unmistakable sound and DJ style, he had a warped sense of humour and a huge personality and he continues to be dearly missed by all to this day.

As a tribute to Kenny, his musical partner in crime Luke Solomon alongside 'Space' regular and DJ / Editor supreme Jonny Rock, and former Classic Records label boss Leon Oakey have joined forces to celebrate his life through music. 3 years of tweaking, pooling music and clearing tracks have culminated in 2 very special double albums and a digital compilation. A collection of 'Space' classics, underground jams and the tracks that shook the Shaftesbury Avenue dance floor, shaping one of London's most revered midweek sessions.

All profits from the compilation will be donated to the British Liver Trust.
