The Future Plans owner is back on Roundqube Musik with a bomb release!

Inside also a beautiful remix from the Visionquest man Shaun Reeves.

UK label Dawn State continue their hot streak this summer with further eclectic moods for the dance floor and beyond. On the tools for the fifth outing on the label is KIDWHO, a blossoming talent who through the last years whilst enduring the pandemic found light by burying himself in his studio experiencing new creative flows. The “Warez House” EP varies in tastes, similar to the highs and lows of the times that just passed us by.

Diving into the deep end is the title track, “Warez House”, loopy and hypnotic, swaying between shades of low end leaned house and techno. Off kilter synths and pads maneuver their way around the driving force of the track. “It came together layer by layer, eventually turning into a dense (and at times, unruly!) groove. A final touch
of atmospherics from an old Roland ROMpler and the track was done - bar a generous helping hand in mixdown from Joel Kane (who also turned out a heads-down dub version which might make an appearance!).”

Leaning in a more hazy direction is the blissful cruiser, “Leploop Lagoon”, a deep and emotive vibe crafted especially for the early mornings. A sophisticated deep house energy from the talented producer. “‘Leploop Lagoon’ is the oldest track on the EP, a cleaned-up version of a rough jam I made around four years back. It takes its name from the Leploop, a quirky semi-modular analogue groovebox of sorts, hand-built in Italy. A very unique and unpredictable machine, it’s on bass duties here as well as providing some percussion sounds via the MPC sampler.”

On the flip side lies “Spectral Pattern”, and it packs a certain punch. The rolling arrangement converses in harmony with icy hi-hats that flash in and out teasing the energy, all of the elements having space to breathe and work their magic.“‘Spectral Pattern’ came together quickly one very productive weekend in the studio last year. It developed from the bass sequence, which comes from a Yamaha TG-33, an unassuming 80s digital synth known for its glassy mix of ROM samples and FM tones - very New Age sounding, or 90s computer game soundtracks. But when you strip it back to basics, it punches hard in the low-end.”

Slipping on to the B side is a five minute transcendental trip, offering yet another series of textures to this otherworldly EP. The final track “At Least We Hav Music” is an ethereal soundscape waiting to be explored, wandering amongst ambient realms throughout. “The label was keen to include an ambient track on the release, and I wanted to record something specially for them. At first I had in mind something droning and melancholic, but after a few experiments with cassette
loops and reverb pedals this was the one that stood out. It was recorded during one of the lockdowns, and I guess I needed to create something that sounded more hopeful than brooding. I messaged DS boss Tom Haus with a rough version, and we went on to have a grumble about the gloomy state of things, locked-down in our respective cities and missing friends, family, activities… At some point I wrote ‘at least we have music’ - and almost as soon as I had sent it I knew I had found the track’s title. I’m very lucky to have had my home studio as a refuge through the long months of lockdown, and I’m honoured to have the chance share some of my output from this period on this record.”
KIDWHO fitting the Dawn State ethos to a tee here as they set up shop for what looks to be another fantastic release. “Each of these tracks came about in quite different ways. Like many creative people, I had moments of struggle during the pandemic, where the lack of variety and day-to-day stimulation lead to periods of writer’s block, and so I used those times to focus on smaller, more manageable projects such as making synth patches, recording sounds and and throwing together short loops in my samplers for later use. A number of
these short loops eventually laid the foundations for title track ‘Warez House’. Big thanks to Dawn State, Joel Kane, El Choop and everyone else who has helped make this happen.” -

Well known Serbian artist Marko Nastic delivers smooth 4 track EP for the third release.

It’s finally here. This is the 10th anniversary of the vinyl-only series on Vivus and what a better way to celebrate than with the magic touch of the Romanian wizard, Vlad Arapasu, who has cooked up some very special sounds for you.

We start off with the title track, Inserpia, which kicks things off in a powerful manner. Right from the beginning, a dominant bassline greets you and you know it means business. The subtle percussions added only a few moments later only take this point further: you’re in the middle of the madness, straight from the start.

Next, it’s Daniel Broesecke’s interpretation of Vlad Arapasu’s track. Daniel calms things down a little, with the track taking its time to really get going – that is until the smooth bass line takes over and gets your feet moving instantly.

Finally, it’s time to have a beer in celebration of Vivus's 10th vinyl anniversary. Vlad Arapasu brings us La Cerveza, a song that has a brisk rhythm right from the get-go and adds layer after layer as the seconds roll on. The end result is a joyful affair, the perfect background for a Cerveza on the beach.

The second release of Resketch is opened by the Ibiza-based talent Ildec, a playful long-lasting track, perfect for the early morning hours.

With the first release of their project "SameSame" on Winder, the two guys now following up to continue, provide a fresh breeze on the dance floor. Mate Koss brings a strong bass line with moving synths and shifted hihats, paired with a groovy breakbeat.

B1 ties in almost seamlessly, CNTRL delivers an incredibly strong groove on a breakbeat basis paired with some oldschooled sounds and rolling 303 elements.

Jan golly closes the wax with a hypnotic firework of deep, sharp and mesmerizing percussive rhythms. Experimental yet straightforward, Jan brings a timelessly fresh cut that captures you instantly, folding you into its insatiable groove.

Coming in hot off the press for Picnic 002 is good friend of the party and Amsterdam resident Pelle. The Time Item label boss and close picnic affiliate delivers 2 classy cuts on the A side and a slick side project with studio partner Herra under their 'pH project' alias on the flip side. The EP glides through a mixture of breaks, electro and refurbished 90's tech house cultivating in an outburst of groove on the dance floor.

Apollo is a new concept project from me, spread across 3 EPs which throw back to the 90s melodic Techno and Progressive Trance sound. Although my roots are firmly in Breakbeat-Rave, I was also captivated by the big room sound of labels like R&S, Guerilla, Hard Hands and Sven Väth’s Harthouse from that same period of time. My studio is full of old equipment that fuelled that original European sound so I quickly found myself focussing on a bunch of tracks that are heavily influenced by some really special music that often gets forgotten." Lescale Recordings continues to affirm itself as an essential young imprint of contemporary techno music. Label founder Ramona Yacef teams up with the long-established artists Triptease, Topper and Luminér to offer a deep release narrating a story through a musical journey. Available exclusively on vinyl, the EP opens with ‘Visconte’, where the iconic group Triptease (Visionquest) blends an uninterrupted flow of harmonic atmospheres that brilliantly interweave together. Up next, the duo Luminér (Body Parts) expands the sounds with ‘Write Me A Love Letter’, and drops a range of deep emotional beats. On the flip, Ramona Yacef herself works her magic on ‘Allegretto’ and stamps elegant rhythms with progressive synths which weave in joyful builds. To close the set, Topper (Sleep Is Commercial), the contemporary voodoo child, takes ‘The Truth’ to task, combining minimal elements with experimental and distinctive textures.

After launching Pământ with a lauded outing from local Australian hero Venda, Unic return to their sub-label with a visceral new Ep. The baton passes to Ukrainian legend Yaroslav Lenzyak, who holds nothing back, channelling his devastating signature sound across 3 cuts. His ability to lure the listener into a deeply meditative state is on full display here, as raw and writhe rhythmic elements move briskly beneath bold experimental resonances. The veteran producer painting a truly vivid sonic picture.

Here it is! The first fruits of labour from the new DABJ HQ studio space. Kenny Wasp and Dan Monox (DABJ) team up with Big Miz for four tracks of serial killin' dance floor bombs. The guys have been road testing them worldwide for the past year and it's now time to unleash them to all discerning music buyers. This is also the first release on the label that the DABJ guys have actually been involved in when it comes to writing the music, not bad going for 30 releases in!

development...Italian DJ and Producer from the sub-world Marco Bellini born in 1964 initiate the B side with "Punto G" (Rework) a primitive Techno-Trance sub-harmonic revolution. Sigmatibet (AKA Paolo Gozzetti) is a producer and an influential musician that debuted in 1991. He contributed massively to the Italian techno and rave scene in the nineties, his track "Benz" is such a retro, gritty 12bittish jam we luckily managed to recover from an old DAT, a gem almost lost
in time.

Radio Slave & Dustin Zahn team up as Radio Zahn for ‘Berlin Sessions Vol. 1’.

Joining forces for the first time, Radio Slave and Dustin Zahn launch their collaborative works as Radio Zahn with a set of colourful, groove-laden techno tracks inspired by the sound of mid-90s New York on Rekids this May. Across all three mixes of ‘Twilo’ and ‘Power Muzik’, the duo deploys chunky, hard-hitting drums alongside building arrangements and masterful use of synths and dubbed-out FX, with the former featuring vocals by Toy Tonics member Kosmo Klint. A dream for fans of intricate, dancefloor-friendly techno, the release showcases why Radio Slave and Dustin Zahn are two of the most consistently exciting artist in dance music.

Responsible for some of the most recognisable tracks in the genre, including ‘Grindhouse’, ‘Don’t Stop No Sleep’, ‘Another Club’, and other timeless cuts, Radio Slave aka Matt Edwards’ work with Joel Martin as Quiet Village and solo work as Rekid has received critical acclaim, and he remains one of the most in-demand and consistent remixers around.

Since the late ’90s, Zahn’s hypnotic and driving techno has consistently caught the ears of top DJs and labels worldwide, best exemplified at his legendary marathon sets at Berghain. His vital work with Intellephunk includes the nearly two decades long running Communion after-hours events, cementing his invaluable contributions to the Minneapolis techno scene and beyond.

MoBlack Records offering the second instalment of the MoBlack Gold Series. Four sublime Afro House tunes ready to set the dancefloor on fire!

Guy J remixes 2 classics! One of those classics is AC/DC, which has been delivering excitement on the dance floors since the beginning of the century, and it was about time to come up with an equally exciting update. Future is a masterpiece by Halo Varga from the year 2000. It was probably impossible to see the longevity of this piece of music while making the track. However, over two decades later, this classic is still relevant, especially with Guy J's hands on it.

Remember Adam Port's last contribution to the Keinemusik-Discography It's been the absorption of a Pop-tune by an almighty Techno-roller. Compared to that, it seems, Port has equipped himself with velvet gloves to shape this KM024.

Already side A, going under the name 'Shifter', passes on almost all opulent gimmickry. It rustles in brittle lofi-attitude instead, just like an Electro-postcard sent from the 80ies. Port is designing a coolness of sound that's carried by shaker-grooves and saucy synths, that's not hesitating to hand out clap-slaps and that deploys flickering hi-hats all the way. With this update of classic Electro-aesthetic, you wouldn't have to go without bass-massages, though. They are just coming more from the fingertips this time. An enactment of the rather minor gestures, utilised precisely enough to stuff every bold break-jingle-jangle out there in its leatherjacketpockets.

'Snowbeach' on the flip unrolls the warming organ-blanket instead. It's a manifesto of deepness that seems to exhale yearning sighs every 16 bars. Prominent use of shakers, guitar licks and piano-accents are condensing this instantly heart capturing House joint, until a synth-liftoff beams it into completely extramundane dimensions. Again, Port is aiming less for peaktime-tailoring than for durability. A clever move that might base 'Snowbeach' as a long stay resident in many record cases.

We are very grateful to see Silat supporting our first 2 releases, his passion, talent, and his amazing heart is something that is remarkable nowadays in the music scene. Since there Herman Saiz visualised how this galactic brother would fit perfectly for SOSNZ003.

This EP has been created especially for Silat’s New Zealand’s friends and the whole music community which work within the underground scene in Aotearoa.

Chad Pulley makes his first solo appearance on John Beltran's All Good Music label, although keener eyed spotters will know that Pulley and Beltran previously collaborated on a track under the Bel-Pull Productions moniker. He steps up to the task ably, slipping into All Good style comfortably with the calm and melodic, gracefully coasting techno of 'Through My Eyes', before the flip side reveals the wistful 'Mesmerizing Blue', where pianos and synths call and respond over exotic rhythms. 'Sticks' completes the set, slightly harder and funkier than its two predecessors but again with an emphasis on musicality, off kilter danceability and originality. On this showing, a name to watch.

This is a very satisfying moment for us as a label, we present to you 4 original clean cuts from the very experienced Dieru, reigning from Baja, California (Mexico).

His minimalistic super clean diverse sounds resonate well on the dancefloor. These 4 cuts are no different showcase a variety of styles bracing the label with a very diverse and sophisticated debut vinyl release.

Dieru has really set the tone with this EP!

Swedish born, London based producer Hans Berg provides the title track 'A Floor of Stars' for a brand new white label from Klasse Wrecks. Starry-eyed rave nostalgia for the 2020s, produced and presented without a cheapshot gimmick in sight. Luca Lozano provides a startling interpretation on the flip, increasing the breakbeat pressure slightly and taking a left turn into the hoover-vortex continuum. Its a space race journey of sorts, with the producer adorning the track with more rave decoration and climactic piano flourishes. This item is vinyl only and limited to 500 copies.

For a few years a while ago, Robert James was one of the hottest names in house. He ushered in the post-minimal era with colourful, accessible sounds that brought some much needed life and charm back to the scene. After disappearing for a time he returned with his debut album in May and now some of it gets some top remixes. Slapfunk's Anil Aras pumps a nice cosmic house vibe, Kepler does his tight, high tempo work and Thoma Bulwer & Anna Wall combine their skills once more on a clipped, punchy tech house version of 'Planet 90.' Laidlaw lays out some electronic drum funk with a fine version of 'Infinity' to close.

For this California label’s second release, they once again reach across the pond for one of Europe’s cuttiest.

Suburbs hits the ground running with a skittering purcussive cut, a versatile tool that could find its place anywhere from peak time groove to afterhours tripouts. Red Forest opens with understated, yet lush 90’s tech house inspired pads, then rolling into a contemplative forward-driven cruiser. Zenk dirties up his grooveboxes a bit on Uriel, nicely contrasting a lighter side of the EP, with whispy vocal samples and airy melodics. Closing things out, COSMJN channels the drums on Uriel and transforms it into a punchy bleeped out roller.

Label founder Alexander Skancke serves up a more tripped-out fusion between house and techno for the fourth release on the Quirk imprint.

wAFF takes charge of the second release on his new Nature label with four stylish new cuts.

First up is Mesmerized feat. Shyam P, a slinky seven minute deep rolling tune with subtle synth craft and airy hi hats. A vocal adds an extra hypnotic layer and then SummerZ is another seductive sound with warm chords smeared over a killer groove. It's got a summery vibe but will also pump the party. To The Floor then cuts loose on nice boom bap drums, with vocal and chord stabs adding detail and its easy to see this one making its mark in the club. Slut Drop closes out with an infectious and rubbery bassline and rich chord work. It's heartfelt and full of soul.

This is a fresh sound as ever from wAFF.

After various EP's, remixes and compilation features, the Lower Bavarian Vienna-based musician and producer Sam Irl releases his debut album "Raw Land". Assembling his collection of analogue synthesizers and stacks of vinyl records around his MPC sampler, he chopped up, sequenced, played and mixed together twelve jams ranging from broken beat, dub-influenced grooves, disco-ish material to raw deep house vibes. The combination of vinyl fragments, analogue synthesis, the grit of hardware samplers and mixing on a vintage mixing desk from the seventies create punchy, rough, yet also deep and soulful grooves.

Growing up in a small village in rural Lower Bavaria, Sam Irl learned to play the piano and organ at an early age, later moving on to jazz piano and first attempts at music production as well as DJ-ing. The lack of an existing underground music scene in his home town provided him and his friends with a healthy need and rooted foundation to organize their own regular parties at a local farm and smaller venues in the area, including on the banks of the River Danube, playing eclectic music ranging from roots reggae, hiphop, funk, broken beat, nujazz to house, UK garage and drum'n'bass and to collaborate on musical projects, such as making beats for regional MC's.

He has been living and working in Vienna for over a decade as a producer and sound engineer while completing his degree (2015) at the University for Music and Performing Arts.

Besides releasing his music on Jazz & Milk, he has had releases on labels such as Pomelo Records (Vienna / AT, with Patrick Pulsinger), Frank Music (Berlin / D), Gilles Peterson's Brownswood Recordings (London / UK, "Kutmah presents Worldwide Family Vol. 2", with Richard Eigner / Ritornell), Pulver Records (Stuttgart / D), Bonzzaj Recordings (Bern / CH, with Dorian Concept), Fresh Minute Music (London / UK) und Bagage Musique (Munich / D).

He has also contributed remixes for Trishes (FM4 Tribe Vibes), Inverse Cinematics, JSBL, Aloa Input, Swede:art, G.rizo, Funkyjaws and others. Firmly rooted in hip hop culture, he has been making beats for several Bavarian rap artists. Apart from releasing his solo music, Sam Irl has made records as a member of "SKYMAX", a trio together with Finnish underground producer Stiletti-Ana and Viennese homie, Feater. He is currently working on a record and playing live shows with Patrick Pulsinger for their dub-heavy "Pulsinger & Irl" project.

Ever pushing forward, DJ Nigga Fox (néRogério Brandão) has enlisted a veteran percussionist from his home country of Angola to expand the manic palette of his sound. The outcome is a constantly shapeshifting form of psychedelia made for dancefloors, that still manages to spark synapses as a complete listening experience. Yet another beguiling leap forward for the sound of contemporary Lisbon.
