Their label Heist continues to hog the top spots on the leading download sites and their releases on Freerange have been amongst the labels biggest sellers.
Recent Detroit Swindle remixes of Romanthony, Hercules & Love Affair and Seven Davis Jr have helped confirm the Dutch duo as one of the most exciting and hyped deep house acts to emerge from Amsterdam in recent years. Tijuana based artist Soul Of Hex aka Sébastien Vorhaus already boasts material on the likes of MCDE, Quintessentials and his own Vicario LTD.The new project has already seen huge support from Larry Heard (including 2 remixes from the man himself on his release Lip Reading), and is fast becoming an in-demand multi-instrumentalist live and visual show.

Nach dem fesselnden Anfang geht es in den Titelsong 'Hide & Seek' über - ein schwebender Track, der ein Gefühl von Freiheit vermittelt. Glänzend und an die 80er Jahre erinnernd, ist er ein strahlender und romantischer Liebesbrief an Discokugeln, Laserstrahlen, Nebelmaschinen und verschwommene Träume. Ein glückseliger und belebender Geist pulsiert durch den Song, der das Gefühl hervorruft, in die Lüfte zu schweben und durch ein Meer von grauen Wolken zu brechen, um den Sonnenschein dahinter zu enthüllen. 'All Or Nothing' ist ein grungiger Dancefloor-Stomper mit beherrschenden Vocals und einer kraftvollen Kick und Snare, die die sich zu einem unerbittlichen und kraftvollen Sound vereinen. WWe are thrilled to welcome Thailand’s Pakarapol Anantakritayathorn aka DOTT for our 12th release on BLKMARKET MUSIC.

DOTT is an integral player in Bangkok’s expanding underground house and techno scene and is one of the three founders of "More Rice", an Asia-based, vinyl only label together with Sarayu and Mikhail, in which the direction is more towards obscurity. Their main vision is to support Asia's upcoming talents by creating great connections between them and other international artists around the world. This vision has led him to open up his brand new record shop More Rice Records in Bangkok.

HoneyLuv impresses on her Crosstown Rebels debut with ‘Right Spot’, accompanied by remixes from house heavyweights Dennis Ferrer and Byron The Aquarius Unveiling her first solo production of 2024, the DJ Mag North America ‘Best Breakthrough Producer’ 2023 winner showcases a deeper side to her growing sound, backed by a pair of unorthodox remixes from two of house music’s favourite names.

One of the most hotly-tipped artists within the current house landscape, it’s safe to say Cleveland-born, London-based DJ/producer HoneyLuv arrived in 2023 and hasn’t looked back since. Riding high following a whirlwind twelve months, featuring as one of Radio 1’s Future Stars, Tomorrowland’s ‘20 of 2023’, and as a DJ Mag North America cover star, plus being selected as one of Beatport’s ‘Beatport Next: Class of 2023’ and most recently as one of Spotify’s ‘Mint Artists To Watch’, her 2024 account opens with a big label debut as she heads to Damian Lazarus’ iconic Crosstown Rebel for the first time. Paying homage to the rich house history of Chicago, she unveils her latest single, ‘Right Spot’ - joined by a double-dose all-star remix cast in the form of house icons Dennis Ferrer and Byron The Aquarius, two individuals who need little introduction.

Groove-laden and rich, harnessed by the alluring vocal at the heart of the production, ‘Right Spot’ is an excellently crafted trip through varying shades of house music as slick percussion and vibrant leads accent hazy textures to offer up a future-focused cut with nods to the past.

Dennis Ferrer’s interpretation sees the NYC icon switch things up as he veers towards the after-hours with a bubbly, stripped-back take that leans on colourful stabs, sweeping melodies and off-kilter drum shots. To close, Alabama’s finest, Byron The Aquarius’ remix ups the tempo and launches right into the action as tunnelling grooves and skippy hats take hold for an energy-charged ride.

Jesse Bru joins forces with Max Ulis this April for the collaborative ‘Similar Nature’ EP, comprising five original cuts from the duo and pencilled for release on SlothBoogie Records.

West Coast Canada producer and DJ Jesse Bru, as well as being a regular on SlothBoogie Records, has been releasing his twist on contemporary house via the likes of Happiness Therapy, Pulse Msc and Inhale Exhale amongst others in recent years. Here we see him team up with fellow Vancouver-based artist Max Ulis, who also operates as one half of the duo Sabota.

‘Banh Mi’ leads the way and much like the Vietnamese delicacy itself lays down a delectable soul-infused feel filled with dubbed out chords, distorted drums, and vocal chants. ‘Moisture Cult’ follows and retains a similarly dubbed out feel, fusing spiralling stab echoes and pulsating subs with shuffled drums. ‘TBH’ then shifts focus over to a modern electro feel with crunchy 808 drums, snaking arpeggio lines, resonant leads, and elongated subs.

Up next is ‘Semblance’ which twists and turns through choppy breaks, intricately intertwined bass stabs, plucked synths and airy atmospherics before ‘Big Chirp’ rounds out the release on a raw house tip with swinging drums, squelchy acid bass tones and sweeping ethereal pads.

The British duo, Lost Property are back with more electronic tones in the form of a five track EP aimed for those in the year 2045.

Once up on a time there was a man who climbed mountains in the summer and wore only short sleeves, he discovered as he climbed higher up the mountains he became a little colder and needed long sleeves, sometimes a hat and gloves. Glyder Fach is the 7th highest peak of the Welsh 3000’s of Snowdonia; the home of Gelert. As DJ Longsleeve pours his heart out into this record he informs us that he now owns waterproofs, hiking boots and has joined the rucksack club. Luv*jam also invites his hiking friend Lootbeg from the forests of West Germany along to the expedition. Extra Peaky Nippiness!!!
