That’s meant in the best way possible, how do you follow a track with such precision yet drunken mania all at the same time. The synths echo Hitchcock’s scariest movie shot in the 60s, while the drums make you more than aware while simultaneously deranged on this outer planet destination this new label takes you to.

Staple selector and producer Youandewan takes it to even further afield galaxies on the flip. Tribal drums and morphing samples, conjure free party energy, with the top end in the sky and the low end firmly rooted in expertly crafted club-ready transgression.

The last remix by Huerta comes earnest and precise. Less low-swung and more f**k off. The baseline is simple but absolute. This is squishy, mushy, dirty dance music.

The title track “Milosky” starts as a high voltage electronic club groove typical of the duo, developing on a straight subtle bassline with airy arpeggios and contemporary acid elements. On the B side The Lumens include in the Ep their very first studio joint, “Krember” is a solid spacy track lead by an addictive acid phrase and lush pads for a sure massive crowd reaction. Turin’s rising talent Denaila remixes “Sunrise”, completing the pack with an impressive raw minimalist cut.

We celebrate 12 years of publishing with a new series, to mark a new beginning with the same musical quality as always. We present "Chileans Are Playing" - a collection of 180 copies by volume, only on vinyl without digital promo, ideal for collectors and selectors where we reveal in each edition the best of the new school of Chilean producers.

Shall Not Fade continues a tradition of marking its anniversary with star-studded compilations; for its sixth year, expect no less. Fans of the Bristol-based purveyor of feel-good dance music will recognise the names; members of the Shall Not Fade family from across all of its sublabels and series come together for a stellar 24 track project, presented in a triple vinyl boxset.

The three disc vinyl package shines a light on the various sounds and styles of Shall Not Fade. A recent signing to Watergate Records, Biesmans delivers an inspiring indie disco work, capped off by a remix by Fideles.

The Belgian-born producer, live act and sound designer has crafted a nostalgia-driven delight; ‚Trains, Planes & Automobiles’ is brimming with retro synths and digi stabs, reminiscent of a Pac-Man session.
Heavy with bottom end punch, Fideles deliver a stellar breaks interpretation of the original, which kicks with plenty of sentimental spirit. ‘Save The Night’ is a gem, uplifting keys, swirling layers of synths and a hook-ridden vocal sealing its impact.

London trio Duowe & Picasso put their heads together for four heavily tested and highly refined club cuts of the highest order. Truly nugsy stuff and some of Gene’s most played tunes of the last 12 months.

An artist who will need little introduction amongst our seasoned followers, Bogota producer Felipe Gordon is back with his seventh label release. Natural Born Climber EP sees Gordon continue in the same jazz-inflected vein as his previous EP, boasting his talent as a multi-instrumentalist and dexterity in combining textures to make an infectious whole.

The EP starts as it means to go on. "The Love" cruises along an irresistible groove, oozing sex appeal and at times tickling the ears with a classy jazz piano. "Da Ghent Life" is about funk. A bass guitar meanders beneath skippy percussion before giving way to a soul-stroking saxophone breakdown before "More Than Grateful" follows suit, maintaining the uplifting tone. Finally, the title track sees the EP at its most ravey. It's impossible not to move to "Natural Born Climbers" 's piano-stab melody and Detroit-inspired vocal chops.

Bang! Superfiction Recordings is back with label bosses Italoboyz and Blind Minded joining forces once again, + 2 sublime remixes by superhot Mexican new kid Sakro, and legendary house music French Maestro DJ W!ld.

Nuron makes a spectacular return on De:tuned with a compilation of hidden treasures! Nurmad Jusat aka Nuron / Fugue, one of the originators of the UK emotive techno sound, went on a quest for archived material and unearthed a handful of DAT tapes with previously unreleased music from the early to mid 90s. The tracks offer a deeply melodic and unique masterclass. Nuron combines a pulsing four-on-the-floor signature beat of the traditional techno sound with his characteristic rhythm and harmony elements. Classic Likemind-esque material that comes with an exclusive Stasis remix of 'Contrapoint'. Essential purchase!

With music promotion being what it is across the board it is refreshing to see labels keeping the focus on the music rather than wild artwork and overplayed promotional campaigns. Wsntme that has popped up from the underground with an aim to keep the spotlight on the music and not so much who produces it and thus removing any sort of bias form the listeners ear.


For the first EP there are two heavy hitters to choose from. B1 jam ‘Rghtdoe’, a crunchy groover with tight shuffling drums and deeply penetrating bassline. Filtered vocals from a certain Rapper roll over one and other adding serious attitude until the mood is lightened considerably with the emergence of the looping string section first made an appearance in the 70’s and has played a part in electronic music since. It doesn’t hang about for long and as quickly as it emerged it is gone leaving the pristine beats behind.

Flipping back over to side A and ‘Mryjn’ is a much more moody, muscular workout. Elongated bass tones and synths are drawn out alongside the pitched down musings of an unknown artist that certainly was not suffering from writer’s block. The inviting paddy synths envelope the lower end of the track frequencies like a warm blanket while the filtered noisey drums kick in all the right directions.

"Cassandra" is a super deep and hypnotic cut that opens with a thumping kick and silky-smooth pads, with the techno innovator teasing out delayed vocal-like synth phrases that lock the listener in before a huge sub-bassline lands. Dozzy focuses on these main intersecting elements which gradually evolve, topped off by rolling drums and razor-edged hi-hats. Also on the release is "II," a slab of experimental sound design that swells and retracts, gurgling away to nothing and topping off an essential new chapter for the peerless techno craftsmen.

Capricorn aka Dutch producer and DJ Hans Weekhout originally released the '20Hz' 3 track EP on R&S sub-label Global Cuts to much acclaim.

A record that was literally everywhere in '93 and still rocks any club today, '20Hz' is undoubtedly an all-time anthem with it's combination of rolling, thunderous drums, glacial marimba-like melodies and a tense trance inducing atmosphere that literally lifts the dancefloor to another place. 'Didn't I' is also a proper old-school peak-time stormer, it's uptempo, dripping in positive vibes with sampled soulful vocals and chopped up drum breaks all encapsulated within a real rave sensibility. Closing out the EP we are treated to 'For The Soul, Body & Mind' which is a much darker, deeper and menacing vibe than the previous cuts. More in line with the earliest fringes of jungle, hardcore and bleep tehcno the track takes us on a journey into the heart of the night with it's bass heavy and intricate sound programming and breakbeats, proving that Hans Weekhout was an extremely versatile and open minded producer. Overall, a truly classic and essential EP from the heyday of European house and techno that still packs a punch today!

This special 2021 edition is reissued by R&S Records from original master sources, remastered by Curve Pusher.

Venice based outfit Caposile Music are accelerating into 2022 with another fantastic release, this time calling on resident and family member, Yaar Kü. The young and talented producer has come into his element in recent times, gaining himself solid support from diggers and tastemakers alike. His CPSL004 EP includes three originals, and an innovative remix from Berlin based, DeWalta. Classy and sophisticated minimal movements from a rising star, and a revered remixer.

Constructed upon a hypnotic energy from the get go is opening track “Aura”, crisp and accomplished drum work chugs the track along, giving space for the mystical pads and synths to work their magic. Next up is “Jobu”, a quirky and rolling trip lasting around 7 minutes. The rippling bass notes are teased by the flashing vocal samples, extracted from garage classics of the past. Certainly a track to move things up a gear in the club.

“OBE (Out Of Body Experience)” is structured with pure finesse, each element and sound placed perfectly, moving in obscure directions but all still conversing taking you in a forward motion, yet urging your thoughts to wander in new directions. Meander founder DeWalta has been invited to join the Italian collective for the remix, and as expected his “Half Full Time Remix” is crammed full with the experienced producer's distinctive sound, a hazy encounter built for the after party hours.

The Caposile brand is growing at an alarming rate. What started off as crafting their sound and propelling their ideas to their Venezian audience has now led to them spreading like wildfire through Europe and beyond with a series of events and releases in the pipeline. Olta Karawame make their debut on the series with a powerful, compact edit full of ballsy keyboard riffing and a military-sized kick drum that is guaranteed to have heads banging . To complete the release label bosses Thomass and INigo deliver edits of their own with their characteristic sound, giving this EP maximum a value for money factor and entertainment from start to finish.

FLAWEd are back with an ep from the talented young Uruguayan producer Braik. His last ep via the french griffe inprint showcased the young artists sound, and he continues on the path with his new outing via FLAWEd, crafting his own take on the moody Uruguayan sound that has come to prominence recently.

If there's one thing WOLF Music know a thing or two about, it's house music. So it's no surprise then that they've decided to reissue a golden 2003 deep house nugget in the form of BRS (British Rhythm Services) - 'Spring Dom'.

Reissued from the original DAT tapes 'Spring Dom' is one of those timeless records that even 15 years on sounds as soulful as it did when it first hit the racks. Echoed sweeping stabs, chunky drum loops and powerful synth flurries alongside those mesmerising vocal refrains, all tied together with a driving bassline - this is deep, deep goodness of the highest degree. Reworking 'Spring Dom' for the present day, WOLF mainstay Medlar provides a rave tinged remix, chopping the vocals and reworking the synth lines to give it a peak time, dancefloor demeanour.

The flip houses the other two tracks from the original '03 release - 'Clubtronic' with it's UKG flavoured beat, M1 pads and jazzy free flowing melodies and 'Miss You' combining a bumping groove, dynamic bass melody and stirring Rhodes chords.

A much-welcomed reissue package from the WOLF camp and a chance to own this house treasure without feeding the sharks.

Winding through magical soundscapes and classic, organic instrumentation, the Nocturna Animal project is a collection of subtle, yet potent melodies and dance arrangements. Warm tones and pleasant bass lines lend to a welcoming feeling and aesthetic across the projects 8-tracks. The Double EP is led by “Display,” a more tech influenced offering that introduces the complexities of DIM KELLY’s production style.

The seventh release of Sasaki Hiroaki's Yotsume-Music sees Hisashi Ito aka Hulot (Raum...musik, BELOW, FROGMAN/U.S.B.) welcomed to the fray, quite possible, given the EP's title, taking influences from Mr Hulot, the hero of Jacques Tati classic film 1953 'Les Vacances de Monsieur Hulot'.

Like said hero, there's a kooky, loveable eccentricity to his two productions - he counts Herbert and Moritz von Oswald among his main influences - with Tom Ellis Remix and Sasaki Hiroaki Remix adding a remix, one on either each side.

Ad Libitum Tum Tunes comes back with the second EP, this time featuring a yellow crafted vinyl by Russian mastermind: Kirill Matveev.

Side A1, “Sleep On Stage While You Playing It (And I Have That Tape)” is the perfect Sunday morning soundtrack. It’s warm, emotive and floaty, which makes it a future afterhours hymn.

Side A2: “Meme Architect” is an especially sensory experience of serotonin boost for sure. The constant breaks float around as a sublime gesture to highlight the harmonic pads and chords that define the track’s essence. This style is jam-packed with very introspective soundscapes and sublime atmospheres that for sure will entrance any listener.

The record's most tantalizing moment comes on side B with: "You Left That Day / Life Goes On Again”, which rides atop a seamless combination of two tracks held by a filament of sound as if it somehow could not exist without one another, creating a history between both which is left to the listeners imagination.

KOMPAKT fans should have been familiar with the name Nicky Elisabeth for some time now. At the beginning of 2019, Nicky joined the KOMPAKT family and from then on was spotted more and more often not only at KOMPAKT events, but also in the line-ups of renowned festivals (DGTL, Strafwerk, amongst others) and clubs. And who doesn't remember the legendary "Kompakt Pop Up Party" in October 2019 during the Amsterdam Dance Event, streamed live from Nicky's living room, where together with Michael Mayer and Rex The Dog she finally conquered our hearts in a flash?

Nicky Elisabeth lives and works in Amsterdam and is one of the resident DJs of De Marktkantine, one of the most established clubs in the Dutch capital and long-time host of KOMPAKT parties of all kinds. Anyone who has experienced one of these parties there will find much of the special atmosphere and punchy sound of those nights in Nicky's KOMPAKT debut 12inch "Celeste".

It seems obvious to interpret the two tracks "Celeste" and "Say" as a kind of loving homage to the KOMPAKT sound of the last three decades. With sparing means Nicky manages to elicit a maximum of energy and catchiness from her two tracks, always carried by a sure instinct for breaks and the right timing for small escalations - something that good DJs simply have in their blood. In the end, it's always about the dramaturgy.

The two remixes of the title track "Celeste" from the hands of the grand masters Robag Wruhme and Roman Flügel are no less "celestial" than the original. Robag Wruhme in particular gives the piece something wonderfully floating and dreamy in his arrangement, as he also managed to do on his 12-inch "Yes/Calma Calma“ (KOM EX 115). Roman builds in little deconstructions here and there, sometimes going left, sometimes heading right, to finally let himself be carried away by the good-humoured nineties vibe. One can hardly wait to finally experience all this on the dance floor again.

Mit sparsamen Mitteln gelingt es Nicky ihren beiden Tracks ein Maximum an Energie und Catchiness zu entlocken, immer getragen von einem sicheren Instinkt für Breaks und dem richtigen Timing für kleine Eskalationen – etwas, was gute DJs einfach im Blut haben. Vor allem Robag Wruhme verleiht dem Stück in seiner Bearbeitung etwas wunderbar Schwebendes und Träumerisches, wie es ihm zuletzt auch auf seiner 12Inch “Yes/Calma Calma (KOM EX 115) gelungen war. Roman baut hier und da kleine Dekonstruktionen ein, täuscht mal links, mal rechts an, um sich schließlich doch vom gutgelaunten Neunziger Jahre Vibe mitreissen lassen. Man kann es kaum erwarten, all dies endlich wieder auf der Tanzfläche erleben zu dürfen.

NVST, part of Statement Crew, Female:Pressure and co-running the Big Science label, drops her debut EP on Serious Trouble, smashing the front door with heavy boots and a belt of sharp throwing knifes. No excuses to be made when she cuts throats, just like she does it to her drum constructions, super sharp filtered and directly forward driven arrangements. She knows how to create a nice tension throughout the record and hits the upper floor just the right time.
