secretsundaze return with SS016 - DJ Qu's mighty SS1 EP. secretsundaze and Qu have developed a special relationship with him playing at many of their parties in London but also at their events in the likes of New York, Berlin and Barcelona.

A full 3 track EP on a label outside of his own Strength Music is rare for DJ Qu so its serious coup for secretsundaze.

Title and lead track 'SS1' is quite simply huge. Definitely one of Qu's most peak time tracks, a slamming groove is underpinned with a bleepy, squelchy sounds and some dramatic synth stabs. This should be a highlight in many DJs sets for months to come.

With 'Fearless' DJ Qu goes deep. A typically eerie yet soulful groove creeps along complimented by deep strings before the sampled and skewed spoken word creeps in. 'Loveboxx' is a dark and sinister track with stuttering drums and more of Qu's trademark treated vocal samples.

The track is really lifted up with some string like keys and this 3rd and final track rounds up what is a masterful display by a producer in his prime.

New Jersey's mythical Zanzibar club has long been a source of wonderment for dance music fans around the world. The Newark institution has been connected to some of the biggest producers and DJ's in the world of dance music; Blaze, Tony Humphries, Kerri Chandler, Tee Scott and many more! Step up Jovonn aka LY with this most classic piece of late night NJ House / Garage from 1994 - "Back To Zanzibar", a love letter to the club and dance-floor that no doubt had a massive influence on him and countless others during it's existence. 2 mixes of "Back To Zanzibar" feature and both are slow burning House of the highest order with LY calling us to join him to "hang out in Newark" and go back to the club over a backdrop of melodic deepness. It's a flawless track and deservedly wears the tag of "classic" comfortably. Essential. On side-B we are treated to 2 mixes of "Deep Inside My Mind" which has a slightly tougher, more frenetic, vibe to the side-A cut. "Deep Inside My Mind" is all skippy drums, slightly odd synth chords and LY on vocals asking us "Can you feel it" Definitely one for the dancers in the dark corners of the club!

Bam Bam's label Westbrook unearths a true Chicago classic from 1988.

Written by Mike Dunn and co-produced by Bam Bam all three tracks are truly pioneering Acid House benchmarks from Chicago's golden age.

TAPAN is a duo from Belgrade. Title track, 'The City', takes few minutes to get going, but when it does... it's like a James Chance/no wave saxophone on some kind of funky slo-mo euro techno. The other 3 tracks drift in and out like some kind of night time fog on a glassy lake with live instruments/percussion peeping out from the hills. For deep and moody waistoids and freaks only.

Hudd Traxx celebrate their 10th Anniversary in style with a 4 part Compilation called 'Now & Then'. The first part includes tracks from Chez Damier, Tomson, Agnes & Iron Curtis. Over the years Hudd have released music from the likes of Matthew Herbert, DJ Sneak, Rolando, Rick Wade, Iz & Diz, and JT Donaldson and a whole load more. The concept behind the release celebrates both new & classic tracks on the 'Now' & 'Then' sides respectively. Man of the moment Tomson kicks things off with a typically straight up House number entitled 'On The Buttons', and definitely is right on them with this one. Chicago legend Chez Damier steps up to the plate next with an Epic Deep House groover with elements of soulful Jazz, which will be well received for those late night or early morning sets. Flip for the B Side & find 2 Classic tracks with Agnes remix of 'The Bass' & Iron Curtis' 'You Are'. Not just a purveyor of dusty club music, LAN (Live Act Night)
is a conceptual project also operating within the realms of
event and video. From curating the Out Of Sight podcast to
the POV video series, Live In My Room, live machine music
with plenty of soul has been a calling card of the Berlin-
based project. Enlisting the services of friends and peers to
work on the various facets, we've seen the likes of Cloudface,
Steve Summers, Perseus Traxx and Steven Tang join founder
Willis Anne in both the booth and the studio since LAN's
inception in 2013.
Financed by way of a co-funding pre-order, the second release
comes from Willis himself. Delivering three cuts of peak-
time ordnance, the Bordeaux native shows just why he was
picked up by Nous Disques for a split EP alongside Berceuse
Heroique. Immersive opener ›Expecting Myself‹ juxtaposes
waif-like electronics against the lo-fi percussive elements.
Gradually unfurling as the track progresses, the undulating
synth swells coax the listener in while the punchy framework
bumps along underneath.
Willis takes a more stripped-back approach on the flip with
›Automatic Body‹. Built around a strapping kick drum and a
snare that hits like a blacksmith's hammer, there's a graceful
fragility found in the shimmering synths and feathery cymbals
that pepper the track. Yet another grower, ›Nonlinearity‹ draws
listeners in as proceedings build up to a stunning crescendo
of bubbling 303s, ominous vocal samples and a machine-
gun spray of hi-hats. Like its predecessors, this heads-down
number slowly builds in tension while displaying a masterful
grasp of what it takes to produce emotive machine music
without diminishing dance floor impact

The Holic Trax label has released a wealth of well-formed house and techno from the likes of Mr.G, Rick Wade and Tuccillo before now, and on April 30th the label offers up its second compilation. Put together by label boss Tomoki Tamura, the selection features a
range of artists old and new and will be released on two slabs of vinyl as well as digitally, with an extra bonus track. Tomoki is probably one of the most successful Japanese DJs in the world having held down residencies at places like The End as well as running his own Holic events, and now proves he also has a
great ear for A&R with the tracks he pulls together here. First up is MÔME aka Bertrand Lacroix, a big collector of phonographs who owns a lot of 78RPM American Jazz records. His 'The Good The Big The Bad' is firmly rooted to the ground with its big air kicks and grinding drums.

We also give you another Blind Jacks Journey regular Subjecktive and Gnork's secret 're-dream' edit of No Cursing. Jeremy a.k.a. 'Underground Paris' is a renowned record collector & crate-digger. He is the founder of "My Love Is Underground", a vinyl-only label that's been responsible for the revival of the "authentic House groove" in Europe recently. Also a DJ, he travels all over Europe every week-end to spread his message! Pascal Rioux has worn many hats in the music industry over the past 15 years: Founder of Favorite Recordings, Rotax Disques and Big Single labels, he's also known for his many DeepHouse productions in the late 90's When those two House lovers met they immediately got along, building the idea of reissuing some obscure gems on a compilation. This is what My Love Is Underground is all about: a triple LP with 12 rare, underrated or unknown tunes from the golden days of House music, finely picked in Jeremy's collection!

Kevin Saunderson's KMS imprint is a label that should require no introduction. The motor city label has been a Techno mainstay since it's inception in 1987.

Numerous Detroit luminaries have released classic after classic on the labels hallowed grooves over the last 25+ years and it's influence is still felt in contemporary dance music today. The idea behind the KMS "Origins" series is to shine a light on the lesser known cuts in the KMS vaults as well as the classics that have given the label it's legendary status during it's lifetime. Kicking off EP 001 are Intercity, a collaborative effort between Saunderson, Derrick May and James "Suburban Knight" Pennington. "Groovin without doubt" is the track featured and is typical of the stripped back machine funk that would emanate from Detroit in the coming decades, originally released in 1987 the track still sounds killer on today's dancefloors! Following is the legendary Stacey Pullen aka Cosmic Messenger with his deep, melodic "Soundscape (Intricate mix)", released in 1993 on KMS offshoot label Eclipse the track pushes a supremely futuristic edge that showcases Pullen's prowess as a producer who is often unfairly underrated. Still sounding like it's from another planet "Soundscape" continues to excite and remain contemporary. Side B begins with some classic KMS breakbeat / Rave stylings from Master Reese himself, "You're Mine" is a sample heavy cut n paste monster from 1990, the "original mix" is featured here and still sounds like it weighs a ton, drop this one on a big system and watch the crowd lose it. Often imitated, never bettered! Rounding out the EP we have E-Dancer's "Pump the move", a stripped back, almost tribalish jam from 1991. This is some direct, heads down, dark dancefloor material, driving drums and synth stabs are woven through loose drum programming to create a "runaway train" feeling. Definitely one for the peak time dancefloors! "Origins" 001 will appeal to those who are new to KMS and will serve as the perfect entry point, it will also appeal to the diehard fans who dig that hardcore Detroit sound!

It's about time that Dresden based Steve Kasper comes around with his first solo EP on Uncanny Valley. After ''Unvexed Dub'' on UV010 and ''Puli Kali (Rooted Dub)'' together with Goetterkreis on UV020 EP he provides four original cuts that extend the label's sound with some UK flavour. ''Helms Klamm'' isn't quite the battlefield you expect from the title but a fine UKish House affair with warm synths and a distinctive bass line that will cause a stir on the dance floor. Then there is ''Slo'fool (Ydee Dirtsocks Reset)'' which starts mysteriously tempered and develops into a hell of a tune with its drone-like synths. ''Good Old'' showcases Steve's knack for combining ingredients of the UK Hardcore Continuum. Good old it is. Finally, the dubby track that has to be on a coherent Steve Kasper-EP is ''Rooted (TRVE Dub)''. No doubt: Steve knows his masters. The wonderful artwork was created by Thomas Neugebauer.

Henry Maldonado's self titled debut album Son Of Sound has quickly earned acclaim by Únderground DJs and tastemakers the world over. The Son Of Sound 04 EP features 4 tracks off the full­length that showcase a wide array of tastes.  Sumthin' Else is a downtempo chugger with a grinding groove that lends itself to underground Hip Hop and electronic genres. House releases on Strictly Rhythm. Cobble Stoned and Temps Rising   bring it all back to Deep House territory, delivering classic groove and a left­of­center, sinister appeal.

We're really happy to get Andy on Heist after his successful collab with his buddy Max Graef on the Jungle EP back in 2013.

He delivers a great 4-track EP that ranges from the synth-arp love affair of 'The same for me', to the heavily sampled disco jam 'Epsilon girls.' Check out 'Hermano' and 'Merkin' for a dreamy old school Chicago vibe, both done with a great sense of history and an added touch Andy's modern production and sampling skills.

Infos about Artist & Record Georgi Barrel is a highly creative genius producer from Kassel, Germany. In 2014 we first time took notice of him - and were instantly excited. His highly distinctive, very relaxed and boogie-influenced style is pure joy. From wonky De-La-Soul-Grooves up to smashing Ugly-Drums like Disco Edits: On this album Georgi is traveling through the undiscovered no man's land between House, Hiphop and Disco - the result is a masterpiece that definitely holds a candle to Glenn Astro's Throwback or Max Graef's Rivers of the Red Planet.

the label say"Producer and boss of Mathematics records, Chicago's Jamal Moss a.k.a Hieroglyphic Being is a one-off musical explorer. Jamal's music takes cues from the EBM and House that played a huge part in the city's musical underground in the late eighties and early nineties, notably Ron Hardy and Adonis, but also Industrial, Avant-Jazz and Noise.

His tireless schedule of rough low-key releases over the last 12 years and his intense, very physical, psychedelic music, have made him a key exponent or maybe even a pioneer of what's recently come to be named 'Outsider House', although he prefers the more Sun-Ra like descriptors of 'Rhythmic Cubism' and 'Cosmic Be-Bop'.


His releases, much like his music, have straddled House labels and the more leftfield avant garde electronic imprints with ease. However his deeply held Afrofuturist intent and the discipline of his radical designs set him apart from the pack. Always moving forward, his music is an ever-evolving transmission from his mind to our bodies, or as he sees it, a form of meditation that the supple, tuned listener will enjoy immensely."

Jackmaster Hater Presents Jeremy Williams with four jackin Chicago tracks!

Third vinyl release on Frole with James Barnsley from Leeds. "Want To Be" is a deep house track with strong vibe and catchy vocal. Including fantastic mixes from the legendary Chez Damier and the Italian Samann (Traxx Underground).

Italy's Katal who delivers three hypnotizing house tracks with British producer TIJN providing a remix.

Katal may be a newcomer but his accolades are continually impressive having released on the likes of Oblack, Isgud, Downhill Music and Roush. His next outing sees him arrive on Blind Vision Records for the imprint's second release following on from an exceptional debut from Juliche Hernandez.

Soft synths, intricate percussion and a lively bassline combine to form a low-slung groove in 'Diamond' before TIJN, who's released on Isgud, Overall Music, Decay and his own imprint In Haus Wax, then remolds the track by stripping it back and emphasizing ebbing pads and a composite rhythm. 'Room 201' is a mesmerizing affair featuring distorted samples, crunchy rimshots and deep chords before 'Transmission' concludes the package with syncopated drums and ethereal tones.

TS09 is the 2nd EP of the TONESERIES project and in line with its 1st release TS10.
However, its two tracks DIPE and FEATHERHAND present a more dance-floor driven
vibe and deeper groove.

With regard to the artwork, as shown on the cover, each track has its own colour.
There is neither a A nor a B-side. The same applies to the record vinyl itself. Each
track stands on it own. As a result, DIPE and FEATHERHAND distinguish themselves
from each other through their vibes and colours, although they remain in the same
spirit.
In summary, TONESERIES brings together the idea of interdependence between
music and design: what colour follows on from music and, in return, which musicality
comes out of colours.
TONE SERIES was born from the collaboration between Villa's former bouncer (one
of the most underground clubs of Berlin) - Wolfram, French music producer, live
performer and DJ - David K, and LumièresLaNuit's co-founder and An der Grenze's
founder - Edouard.

Roundabout Sounds rounds out 2014 with it's 12th release entitled "Fly Pattern EP". This various artists (vinyl only) release features 4 up and coming artists from around the globe. UC Beatz (Belgium) and Satore (Spain) are EU residents while Kensuke Fukushima and Hokuto Sato are both from Japan. You've got "Walk Free" and "Flying Soul" as floor bangers while "R.A.M" and "Finding the Way" pimp the deep vibes that the label is known for over the last couple years.
