Dabei beindruckt der Gastsänger ETML mit jeder Menge Soul in seiner Stimme. Laut hypemachine ist der Track seit 3 Wochen weltweit unter den meist gesuchtesten Musikstücken im Internet! Glaubte man, es sei um Basement Jaxx ruhiger geworden, so irrt man. Zuletzt hatten sich die beiden Briten einfach anderen gemeinsamen Projekten verschrieben. So komponierten sie den Soundtrack zum Spielfilm "Attack The Block" und arbeiteten mit dem Metropole Orchestra an neu arrangierten Jaxx-Klassikern mit Streichern. Umso mehr merkt man "Junto" die Lust an, sich wieder dem Kern des eigenen Werkes mit neuem Schwung zuzuwenden. Mit dem Anspruch Pop und Avantgarde aufeinander loszulassen und dabei clevere Dancefloor-Beats beizumischen, berauscht das Album gerade zu. "Mermaids Of Salinas" ist brasilianisch angehaucht, "Something about you" besticht durch die zauberhafte Melodie.

The second of two collaborative 12inch releases by Sonar Kollektiv and Especial Records (the label run by Yoshihiro Okino from Kyoto Jazz Massive) showcases the aspiring talent of DJ Kawasaki. Since his debut 'Beautiful' from 2006 he became a staple and a new ambassador for Japanese club and dance music. It's been already five years since his first remix for Sonar Kollektiv ('Dark Soldier' by Roland Appel in 2009) and you can surely hear how his production skills have even sharpened over the time.

The Jayson Brothers are back with this mindblowing release on Drumpoet. There are rumours that they are produced by Danilo Plessow who is the mainman behind the Raw Cuts series and has set the dancefloors internationally on fire with his Motor City Drum Ensamble

Two releases, two Juno number ones- you could say that proceedings for MIL have surpassed all expectation. But then again, looking at their output so far it's hardly surprising. The impact of the label has been unanimously received as an imprint dedicated to curating fresh and original house true to the genre from some of the most hotly regarded up-and-coming producers in the electronic music scene.

The forthcoming 3rd release maintains the expectation still and comes from Manchester-based Tom Maxwell, another highly anticipated producer on the UK scene who makes his first foray into the EP world. His first track featured on Jamie Trench's excellent debut EP and his most recent second release came on the equally successful MIL Lovebox VA, two finely pieced productions that served to showcase Maxwells unique take on the deeper side of house.

The coolly considered Spun EP underpins Maxwells musical perspective further and resonates with early UK and US garage with heavy 90s house influences. First track Feel Yourself delves straight into deeper territorium, a solid opening introduction of melodic intent that steadily builds with swirling synths and wood-block drumming underneath crisp hi-hats, a groove-heavy bassline and reverberant, deep chords. The utilisation of classic 90s piano rhythms grow in presence over a gospel-like vocal, handclaps and quick, shuffling rim shots at the breakdown kicking powerfully back into a head-nodding groove that rally takes the track to greater depths.

Talk About's snare groove and infectious rolling bassline form the forefront of the second track. The execution of teasing Aliyah vocal flourishes are used perfectly as a glue for the beat with the RnB melodies sparsely bouncing around each other in effortlessly cool fashion. The combination of spacey-synths patterns the build up with the intuitive match of chords combining with a hypnotic bassline that instinctively flows with ease.

The tile track is remixed by Dutch heavyweight Gerd, quickening the tempo in typical fashion with a more garage-fused take on the original, laying down hard-hitting drums, heavy basskicks and New Jersey hi-hats underneath chopped-up, filtered vocals and big 90s stabs which dominate and guide the track throughout to create a real roller. Maxwells version is a more deep-set vibe that swings intricately along with deep house chords meshed formidably with the timeless Happy Clappers vocal snippet. Arrays of quick garage-chimes flirt with ticking hi-hats while filtered synths swirl around in synchronisation with the bassline creating a hypnotic spun-like grove that dips in and out with it's harmonic rhythm and intimate melody.

Theres plenty of quality on this latest offering from Maxwell.
The oeuvre of deep textures, warm chords and vocal samples characterises a highly listenable EP, one that demonstrates a fresh and contemporary musical insight of a producer well worth following.

As Belfast house maestros Extended Play stride into their thirties, they decided it was time to commit some of their solid workouts to wax.

So they are putting their trust in Dutch wunderkind & raw house specialist De Sluwe Vos (The Sly Fox) and cohort Beaumont Livingstone and their house anthem 'Believe' which they firmly 'ahem' believe is set to ignite dance floors across the world all summer long after being road tested to rapturous results.

Wether it is raining or the sun is shining, Popp & Popp always put you in good mood. Their frsh electronic melodies paired with the voice of a trumpet at least bring a smile to everyone's face. No matter if in a crowded club or on a big open air stage, there is no one who can resist dancing. Since two years, the young musicians are experimenting with the combination of groovy beats and impressive acoustic influences. They love to compose with other artists like saxophonists, drummers or singers.

Liverpool based Andy Ash hits the SAFT imprint with two excellent analog house jams.



The overall sound Andy comes up with, hints to the early machine driven house sounds from the late 80s on the A1 ''In Love'' whilst transitioning into the more jammy house sound Andy has been purveying on his string of latest releases on his A2 jam called ''Black Stem''.
On the B side SAFT regular ''Kastil'' provides Andy Ash's ''In Love'' with a heavy machine rework. Kastil proves he has been crafting and perfecting his production skills with some new hardware gear. This remix hold the intense feel of a 4am sweaty club session.
All and all SAFT proudly present the 5th installment in their series of pure and all round house releases.
SAFT05 will hit all well-known record shops in September, of course in the beloved 12'' format.

two very talented new faces on Dirt Crew and a beauty of a Record! Urulu who is living in Los Angeles is most known for his work on Exploited where he delivered some serious club bangers last year. More recently he also did a great EP on his own Label Amadeus and he made a great remix of a Jessie Ware track. Steve Huerta also from LA did some great work too on Amadeus, his last EP together with Prince Club is one of our faves in every set. We are extremely happy to have these 4 amazing tracks from the guys 3 on the vinyl and 1 as a Digital only Bonus Track. To top it off we asked The Revenge to Remix one oft he tracks and he dropped a serious deep techy track with an amazing bassline.
