First released under the moniker 'Artist Formally Known As P.P.' (Persian Prince). This E.P. is One of the Holy Grails of UK Garage, with obscure tracks like 'Omid A Man' fusing the evocative sounds of the middle east with Sound System Bass Culture.

Persian is the first Iranian Electronic Artist from the West to have done this, previously in 1992 under the Moniker Persian Prince, he released 'Desertism' a unique innovating Hardcore Jungle track that fused eastern & western cultures together, making history in that Scene.

Original Nutter is Michael King faeaturing UK Apachi's classic Jungle vocal. Initially released as a White Label in 1997 at the height of the first wave of UK Garage. This EP was only pressed in limited amounts and now commands over L80 second hand. This reissue is the result of a chance find of the DAT tape. Remastered and recut by MUSIC PRESERVATION SOCIETY, an essential for any UK Garage fan.

Rotterdam-based Pole, Richu M, has been impressing with his scuzzy, eclectic output on Young Adults and Astropical that mixes dusty samples with hazy synths, ranging from wonky slo-mo house grooves to jazzy downtempo cuts.

He brings his colourful patchworks of sound to Monologues for a beautiful mini-album, complete with superb artwork from the man himself.

Label boss G. Markus aka Ben Gomori steps up to give 'Sorry, I'm Not A DJ' a kick up the booty with a garage house flex.

Orbital 002 Hot off the heels of their successful first release 'Opposite Visions', Orbital London make a second statement with 'Coopers Dubz EP'. Sidewinding in on the A side is label front man, Jack Michael. 'Never Said That' is a familiar sound we have come to expect from the young talent, warm, and born to be heard loud. A bit lighter on its feet, with a definite spring in its step is fellow UK artist Harry Wills' interpretation of 'Never Said That'. Juicy by name, and juicy by nature. Kicking off the B side with a 'Clout' is Wills again, with a much darker outlook. A tight garage groove that packs a punch. Returning the remix favour is 'Jack's Dusty Mix', a mysterious and pacey affair to round off the Dubz. A four track release, fulfilling all of your bassline requirements. Big up Cooper.

London house & garage sounds drawing on influences from the past and mixing them with the future.

Berlin-based producer and DJ Kevin Over has been on the rise over the past few years with a steady stream of output on the likes of Gerd's 4Lux, Dj Steaw's House Puff and of course Madhouse where he returns to here following last years 'Where To Begin' EP.

The original mix of 'Penthouse Boogie' opens with jangling metallic percussion, thunderous sub tones and dusty drums driving the groove whilst an amalgamation of choppy chords and stabs ebb and flow amongst hypnotic pads, hooky vocals and jazzy marimba tones.

Seven Davis Jr's remix of 'Penthouse Boogie' follows, taking a more raw and stripped-back approach with a gritty drum groove, skippy hats at the forefront whilst easing in the original's vocal chant, resonant pad swells, wandering marimba tones and a fresh, bumpy bass line.

Title-track 'Lavender' then rounds out the package on a Garage tip with swinging broken drums, hooky vocal phrases, murky bass tones and organ stabs.

Serving up another fierce 4-track EP, Inner Sunset Recording's Low Top (Homero G.) is back at full force as The Honorable Mr. Top. The Conspiracy Hailed From Mount Pleasant, A College Town In The Center Of Michigan. Originally Formed As The Allusions, They Became Nino & The Nomads Before Changing Their Name To The Conspiracy In 1966. For The Next Few Years The Group Stayed Busy On The Live Circuit. "we Were Booked All Over The State," Remembers Singer Aquilino Soriano. "every Weekend We'd Be Somewhere. We Were About Two And A Half Hours From Detroit, So We'd Go Down South, We'd Go Up North, We'd Go Everywhere. There Was This Network Of Teen Clubs Where Kids Didn't Have To Be 21 And Everybody Could Go. It Was Fantastic." In 1967 The Group Had What Aquilino Describes As "probably Our Apex Moment". Kustom Amplifiers Sponsored A Statewide Battle Of The Bands Tournament, And The Conspiracy Battled Through Several Rounds Of Competition To Make It All The Way To The Finals In Saginaw. "it Was A Statewide Thing That Culminated There," Remembers Aquilino. "question Mark & The Mysterians And A Couple Of Others That Were Notables Were Also In It - And We Won It! We Got Our Award From Bob Seger." The Prize Was Thousands Of Dollars Worth Of Gigs And A Tuck And Roll Kustom Pa System, Which The Band Put To Use As They Moved Forward Into 1968, Brimming With Confidence. A Roving Capitol A&r Man Caught Their Show In Cadillac, Michigan, And Encouraged Them To Write Some Original Songs And Go Into The Studio. So In 1968 That's What They Did. `dream World' And `with You' Were Recorded At A Studio In Grand Rapids And The Session Turned Out Exceptionally Well. "it Just Floored Me That We Didn't Sit Down And Write Some More Songs," Says Aquilino, "because I Thought We Did A Pretty Good Job." `dream World' Is Particularly Great With A Soulful Lead Vocal, An Insistent Fuzz Guitar Line, Waves Of Hammond Organ, A Catchy, Harmonized Chorus And An Insistent Dance Groove. Shades Of The Doors, The Young Rascals, The Blues Magoos And Src. A Mixdown Of The Tape Was Forwarded To Their Contact At Capitol Records, But Ultimately No Deal Was Signed. "we Were Just Starting To Separate From High School," Remembers Aquilino. "it Was The Start Of That Transition. I Was Class Of '67, They Were Class Of `68. There Was The War In Vietnam. You Could Go To College To Avoid The Draft. It Was A Lot Of Decisions And I Guess What Happened Is Nothing Really Happened From Us Recording. I Mean They Liked It, They Made Us An Offer, But I Think That The Parents Weren't Really Happy With That. I Think That There Was Some Dissent In The Band Too." The Conspiracy Broke Up In Early 1969 And The Tape Of The Only Original Songs They Ever Played Remained Unreleased And Unheard Until 2018, When Soriano Brought The Original 1" 8-track Session Tape Into Earthling Studios In El Cajon, California, Where It Was Mixed And Mastered By Mike Kamoo For This Release. The EP consists of four original productions on vinyl 'Top Ten', 'Latex', 'Notion' and 'True Level,' plus on the digital a refix of 'Top Ten' from label co-owner Blackdown 'Top Ten.'. Collectively they are weighty contributions to the space emerging between techno and bass music currently being forged by labels such as Timedance, Hessle Audio, 3024 and Ilian Tape. 'And Keysound of course haha...' adds Otik. 'I've been very inspired by these labels'. 'I'm based in North East London but I'm originally from Bristol. I've been producing since the age of about 15 but didn't really get into UK dance music until the age of 18,' he adds. In recent times, Otik's released on 17 Steps, Dusky's label, DEXT Recordings, Durkle Disco, Push & Run, Tessier-Ashpool and Infinite Machine. He will also be releasing on Nous Disques later this year.

Seth Troxler's club focussed label, Play It Say It, welcomes a master of stripped back and dubbed out tech grooves in the form of Seb Zito, while Fuse boss Enzo Siragusa steps up to remix.
A core part of the world-renowned Fuse party crew, Zito's distilled productions are perfectly functional, boasting the sorts of subtle charms that make them truly irresistible to legions of dancers. His warm sound has landed on the Fuse and Infuse labels as well as Rawax and Kaoz Theory. He runs his own Seven Dials label and is as revered for his resident sets in London and Ibiza as he is his studio sounds.The excellent 'On It' opens things up with tightly coiled drums, adorned with bumping kicks that immediately get you moving. A soul infused vocal brings plenty of cool to the track whilst dreamy pads add warmth and depth. A dub is also included in the package for those darker, late night sets. Both versions are sure to become club mainstays. Remixing is Enzo Siragusa, the man behind the internationally renowned Fuse brand and a driving force in the contemporary house and techno scene. He DJs around the world, hosts parties across Europe and is known for digging deep. His version is more zoned out thanks to the swirling pads, with the orignal's vocal coming at you in a dreamlike fashion, as the knotted bass hammers home the groove.This is an essential release that is sure to go on to big things this summer.
