Still transmitting from Lockdown in the UK. Banoffee Pies Records 14th release in the original series comes from London based ANGEL D'LITE. A deep passion for rave and NRG with an established high-octane approach to music, heavily influenced by hardcore and early pop bangers, her debut EP further reflecting this mood. Three heavy club tracks and a broken beat dubbed remix from JAY to round things off.

The A side is laced with harmonic 90's vocals and euphoric trance synth lines with two versions of "CRYSTALZ". The original, heavily packed with punching drum patterns and UK hardcore builds, followed neatly by the "DIAMANTÈ MIX". A nostalgic UK Garage take with building pads and rolling hats, partnered by murmuring emotional vocals. Perfect late night club fodder.

The B side flips the mood with "DANCE LIKE DOLPHIN" - the original version setting the tone for early AM adventures. Junglists, sonic communications and club lazers setting in throughout the growing euphoric 90's blends, aquatic frequencies and swirling sub bass. The remix from JAY, another London based producer, follows with an energy shift to a more minimal and rough edged depth of textures and colour, with splatters of surprise elements throughout. Oi Mates! With the official release of our SNC002 record back in march 2020, a weird time for our society and especially for our subculture started – the Covid-19 pandemic and the resulting shutdown for all night clubs and festivals caused a big break and calming of our scene. We still used the time productively to introduce you to an incredibly talented new producer and to launch our 003 record. Give a warm round of applause and be prepared for SALOMO, straight outta Ostdeutschland. The Leipzig based producer and DJ, already got some stunning releases on R.A.N.D. Muzik Recordings and is now serving the first solo release on SNC Recs. The space journey on our imprint continues and starts with two melodic and atmospheric heaters. Ignition serves as a breaky warm-up tune, where as A2 is definitely made for a housey peak time moment – a track which puts a smile on every ravers face. On the B-side, the energy continues – Vault, an uptempo banger with 143 BPM perfectly connects the peak time vibe and will energize every crowd for sure. The last track, B2, Forma, completes the Zero Gravity EP – another genius production of Salomo with emotional arps and synth-lines which sends every listener to his personal journey. “Vinylmania" Owner Charlie Grappone opened the Vinylmania’s doors in 1978. He opened the store with a sparse selection of Rock records
but after crowds from the Paradise Garage started showing up he realized his market was with the house heads. Vinylmania quickly became the goto spot for house in NYC eventually spawning a record label under the same name and it’s legacy began. Sadly Vinylmania closed its doors in 2007 after almost 3 decades of business.

Following the Turner Street Sound collaboration with Rings around Saturn, Melbourne producer and DJ Midnight Tenderness presents his second offering to Butter Sessions, Digi Modes. Throughout, Midnight Tenderness maintains his fixation with dub-wise rhythms and heavenly melody, delivered with his signature silky smooth production.

Digi Modes begins with the complementary pairing of tracks Crosswinds and Dub Dreams which feature on the limited yellow 7". Crosswinds is a bright medley of garage breaks against hazy synth-work that gently inhales and exhales. Dub Dreams, as its title affirms, is a mirage of sweeping synth loops and chattering rhythms. Elastic Dub is a more traditional homage to early dub works of the 1980s, marked by persistent echoes and rumbling bass that divides and conquers. Reflexitones, and the EP's endnote Regent St Dub, both add a sprinkle of house and electro, primed for a discerning dance floor or perhaps for now, a dance at home. As a whole, Didi Modes is an affirmation of Midnight Tenderness' mastery to adopt and adapt acquainted sounds in a unique way.

‘Débuts’ is France-via-Brussels duo, Nikitch & Kuna Maze’s aka Nicolas Morant & Edouard Gilbert first full length album. Building on their collaborative EP “Mush”, ‘Débuts’ continues to explore the melting point between jazz and club culture, interspersed with the signature sounds of broken beat, Chicago footwork, UK garage, Detroit house, and underpinned by their road-tested new live format.

‘Débuts’ see’s the band push their musical and creative development even further, a result of touring extensively around Europe with a live drummer, from high-brow jazz festivals to sweaty basement clubs. “We would be lying if we said our gig experience didn’t influence us on this record” Edouard explains. “We discovered new aspects to songs such as “Bruk” and managed to push forward the energy side of the music from the rawness of the live shows. This energy empowered to produce and compose new material in the same vein”.

As we enter our fourth year as a label, we welcome San Francisco based Chrissy to the Dansu Discs family for DSD017. He specialises in rave-influenced sounds, Chicago house, and disco, but his 20-year career has ranged from jungle to footwork to freestyle (he literally has it all!). His strong reputation as a ‘genre bending’ producer is one that is fully deserved and he proves just that in this record. On the B side we welcome back Soundbwoy Killah and Denham Audio, both providing a killer remix to top off one of our most exciting projects yet.

Kerri Chandler is house music royalty, and he is next to take the reins of the ever essential DJ-kicks mix series. His sumptuous selection is out on October 20th and arrives with a substantial release tour that includes a launch party at this year's ADE.
Without New Jersey native Kerri 'Kaoz' Chandler, house—specifically deep house—would sound very different. Ever since his teens he has been making and playing music with a unique sense of soul, jazz and deepness. From majors like Atlantic, King Street Sounds and Nervous via his own Madhouse, his releases are never short of genre-defining classics that have spawned a thousand copycats. Affectionately referred to as the Stevie Wonder of house, Kerri's DJ sets take him all over the world and often find him playing live keys next to his informed selections. He's meticulous about sound, too, which means that no-ones kicks hit quite like Kerri's.His instantly classic and timeless DJ-kicks mix, though, takes him out of the club and through a world of influences and inspirations. It's like me taking you for a walk in New York,' he says. Like a music tour guide, we go through Brooklyn, Soho, midtown, the Bronx and Uptown, and parts of New Jersey.' The resulting selection is an unhurried and very personal mixtape with blends, fades and cuts all allowing the music to do the talking. At various points throughout, we hear Kerri speaking into the mic, and that only adds to the feeling that you are sat in his living room as he pulls out all his favourite cuts. He also lays down some of his magical keys at various points, lending yet more personality to the mix.

His production skills have gone through the roof in the years since I met him, and he has mastered the art of the curveball track - evidenced by his debut EP on Trippy Ass Technologies. Fresh from an EP on Midland's intergraded imprint, Otik returns for a disjointed offering with paranoid synth work and an arpeggio that fizzes through the tweeters.

Pugilist offers up dub stabs, analogue sirens with blips of space echo on 'Eclipse', with a garage swing and Rhodes, contrasting a ruff and ready sound palate of bass weight.

Metalheadz signee Commix, (AKA Endian), returns to DEXT for a tumbling UK bass track with swung percussion and side-chained textures of rising crackle.

Skull Disco, Applepips boss and dubstep icon Appleblim, returns from a recent album on Sneaker Social Club, offering 'Hydrothermal Vents', that sees him taint a 126bpm framework with his dubstep-tinged roots, providing room for the groove to move.

Part 2 of 2 - Two Full Minds are back, Bushwacka! & DJ Vorn dropped this incredible EP in 1996. It's very rare that you come across music from this time period that still sounds so very contemporary. Super original, amazing sonics, and guaranteed to smash out a dance, all of the cuts on 'Michael's Path' are insanely good. Chock full of sick drum programming, abyss-deep basslines and wigged out, spacey melodies these jams are here to stay... in your record bag! It's got everything you want really, it's the sound of truly original and underground heads doing their own thing. One can only imagine the impact these cuts had on the late 90's dancefloor?! Not sounding like anything else out there, even today. The first of 2 heavyweight Bushwacka! reissues, essential underground business right here, from the streets of London. Matthew B aka Bushwacka! is a longtime stalwart of the vast London scene, with a career that would make most crumble, he's been at the top of his game for longer than most in the booth and behind the boards. Having presented this collabo with DJ Vorn back in 1995 on his own Plank Records imprint, it's obvious that Bushwacka! is a studio genius, the mix, the engineering, everything about these records is top shelf. De Sluwe Vos (Dutch for 'The Sly Fox', a name derived from Aesop's fable of the Fox and the Crow) is the newest addition to the Dutch house and techno scene. His productions are supported by artists such as DJ Sneak, Joy Orbison, Boddika andBicep. Moreover, De Sluwe Vos has a packed tour schedule and travels many miles for all his national and international gigs.

With strong hooks and dirty kicks as his specialities, De Sluwe Vos has released multiple tracks on labels like 4Lux and Slapfunk. Lately, this cheerful producer from Dutch city of Deventer has even been gaining a foothold in the pop scene. His gig at Noorderslag did not go unnoticed: national music platform 3voor12 named him the best act of the festival.

De Sluwe Vos mixes various styles to create his own 'signature sound' with which he manages to constantly keep himself at the center of attention. His 'OG Anthem' is possibly one of the most notable tracks of the moment, this underground hit found its way to the surface and received airplay on both Dutch radio station 3FM and BBC Radio1.

With his discography, De Sluwe Vos is constructing a steady career. But he's not one to stay hidden away in the studio: he's at his best when dominating dance floors in clubs and at festivals. His ultimate goal is to bring the crowd to a higher state of mind, where worries simply disappear and the music takes over. Time and time again, De Sluwe Vosprovides proof for the big bang theory with his performances. Drawing from a diverse array of contributors, Suggested Forms gathers the asymmetrical rhythms and polyrhythmic dancefloor freakouts from New York multimedia artist Tristan Arp’s first EPs. Alongside twisted reworks from Dominican dembow and reggaeton producer Kelman Duran, techno experimentalist Machine Woman, and Brooklyn’s Beta Librae, the Human Pitch cofounder’s syncopated rhythm science serves as a strange and playful take on leftfield bass.
