The talented new artist Q-Chip, known for his split 12" debut with Cestrian (Ali Renault) on Bunker Records, delivers his first full EP release for Solar One Music's "Elektronische Werke" series. Dark, intense tracks brew all over the two sides, demonstrating the Q-Chip vision of pure, futuristic electro music.

Label maker Alberto Sabatini drops a stellar spring grenade in the form of Roboto (We Are) on Save The Black Beauty. Having featured such renowned artists as FNM and Sasse, it was time for Sabatini to step into the spotlight with his own production. The introduction was made with his remix for Sasse's Flushing Meadows' which showed his roots firmly to the italo & early pro to house territory. Now with Roboto, Sabatini takes a italo vibe and mixes it with contemporary house elements and creates a joyful, yet sinister late night belter. On the remix tip italian Meister Fabrizio Mammarella who dips the original in disco sprinkles and lets the sun in.

It's time to celebrate! At catalogue number 20 Uncanny Valley extends its compilation-concept to 12 tracks spread over three records (or as a bundle if you prefer digital). BigM Productions is back with a slammin' various artist EP, containing four straight floor bombs. With Tom Drummond & Slynk, Tosses & Varvez and Jiggy Joe, we got three new artists on the label. And DJ Rudd is giving
his vinyl debut in the house of BigM, after the murder success of his digital debut here. All tracks are mostly breaks and ghettofunk focused, everything with usual BigM groove guarantee!

Although Relish Compilation 3 marks the third compiled label round up for Headman's Relish Recordings, it is a compilation only in form; it has been constructed out of new tracks very much in the guise of an album. In label terms it highlights the new artists that have been unearthed this year - JR Seaton, Andreas Esu, Hannalelauri, Daniel Avery, International, Montevideo - and presents them alongside new tracks from Headman.

Scherbe is back on Uncanny Valley with his second full length EP. After his recent contribution to the UV20-compilation and a record on Fourth Wave he returns with the aptly titled "Late Nite Safari" and shows off again his knack for rumbling beats and fuzzy synths. "Poison Hillz" builds up on steamy percussions and a slowly rising bass line arpeggio that unfolds completely when the hi-hat drops in. You won't notice that wonderful synth pad coming but when it's there everything sounds right in place. "Long Time No Sea" is based on cowbell-heavy beats and tiny xylophone sounds. Completed by a yearning vocal sample and catchy guitar licks it keeps your head nodding. Scherbe's unique drum programming makes it stand out from most of the typical Deep House tracks and he makes sure that all the elements flow together into his distinctive groove. On the flipside, "Mosqito Beach" creates a tropical atmosphere with bird-like tones and sound textures of high humidity. With a piano loop rising up and down plus deranged organ sounds he brings things to a pretty mysterious end. Finally, "Specimen" is no exception to Scherbe's stuttering beats. And the tropical feeling is still there thanks to a distorted vocal sample that sounds like a frog. And with the beautiful piano melody combined with a tender flute the track ends on an almost old school House vibe. Once again, Uncanny Valley's very own Carl-Johannes Schulze aka Carl Suspect takes care of the record's artwork. He took the EP's title literally and set out into the Saxon woods to visualize his idea of what a late night safari could look like.

Giallo Disco journeys further east with the release of BASKIN. Our first original soundtrack written by Turkish composer Volkan Akaalp for the short film by enfant terrible Can Evranol (To My Mother And Father). BASKIN tells the story of four cops discovering a nightmare of Lovecraftian proportions during a routine investigation. This incredible soundtrack is an eastern twist on the works of Fabio Frizzi, industrially corroded by early 90s R&S Records. Shot independently in Istanbul, Turkey, during the height of the Gezi riots Baskin has been described as "Disgusting. Disorienting. Brilliant" by Horror director Eli Roth. Comes with a full colour sleeve and two exclusive remixes on the b-side by Giallo Disco heads Vercetti Technicolor and Antoni Maiovvi. Things are about to get weird...
