Originally released in 1982, "Breakdown" and side B's "So Low" have both achieved the status of myth and are considered as anthems by a large audience. Almost 35 years later we're honoured to annouce that both tracks will finally be reissued as a lovely 7", housed in a pretty classy packaging, perfect for another 35 years journey.

Various Artists 'Belgica' is the original soundtrack composed, recorded and produced by Soulwax.

'Belgica' is the new film by Oscar nominated director, Felix Van Groeningen (previously nominated for Best Foreign Language in 2014 with 'The Broken Circle Breakdown').

The film sees Soulwax's influence throughout from composing, arranging and recording the original score to creating each and every one of the fictional musical artists featured. A diverse collection of songs, performed by a similarly varied set of artists, has seen Soulwax create what is a unique soundtrack that continues to see them evolve as musical progressionists. The film has already been screened at this year's prestigious Sundance Film Festival.

Recorded and mixed at Soulwax's new Deewee studio in Ghent, the entire project has been over twelve months in the making.

As the group says: We recorded the original music being played in the club, wrote the music, rehearsed and recorded live on set the tracks played by the bands - ranging from a live kraut techno band, White Virgins, bequiffed psychobilly trio They Live through to hardcore outfit Burning Phlegm (featuring Sepultura's Igor Cavalera) whilst chanteuse Charlotte represents the other end of the spectrum with her neo soul pop.

Johnny D'Mairo's Henry Street Music label. To celebrate, BBE is marking the occasion with a very special 5 x 7 inch vinyl box set.
Many of the movers and shakers of the day had their best moments on Henry Street, and some of the best of them are represented here: Johnick, Armand Van Helden, Kenny Dope, Ralphi Rosario, Mike Delgado, DJ Sneak, Robbie Tronco, 95 North and Scotti Deep - a veritable roll-call of the premiereleague of dance at the time, an era when dance music still seemed incredibly fertile and the link with its own past is still vital.
Henry Street (named after Brooklyn homeboy Johnny's neighbourhood) always had a 'New York' vibe, and even when drawing its producers from further afield, the label encapsulated the city's melting-pot of talent and raw, bristling energy... energy captured here, and exploding off these remastered
tracks like it's 1999 all over again! So... dust off those dancing shoes, and get ready to feel the heat, it's one more time for
the Henry Street Hustle!

First up is NITE DANCE were are dynamic duo flip their wigs and slice and dice a Giorgio Moroder classic. Dark, sleazy and downright dirty and the right amount of piano for the balearic faithful!
CE SOIR is a go go styled percussion funk monster with a female euro vocal that just pulls you in. From Saint - Tropez to the dark back streets of Dalston this has classic written all over it.
THIS MAN is one of touchstones of the cosmic Adriatic scene championed by the likes of Italian dance legend Daniele Baldelli from back in the day. Resurrected and flipped for a new audience. Light my soul!!

Once more they flash us with a new contemporarily refreshed up-to-date mix of their super classic hit - FLASH' from 2001. Charmings strings are added to the trendy original and creating a cineastic and epic sound. This release turns the 001 of the label fromwithin definitly into something special. The EP contains remixes of Italoboyz, Marc Miroir and of the fromwithin labelowners Mark Deutsche & Musoé.

Italoboyz had a word with and created an extraordinary remix. This tribal-flecked interpretation create some hypnotic groove and unexpected breaks.

A techy house remix with trippy rolling old-school 303 snares is delivered by Marc Miroir. Right from the start this track pushes forward with on point setted drops plus a groovy baseline. This remix gives you what you expect.

Borrowed Music return to wax see's a release that very nearly didn't see the light of day. Between the years of 1995-99, Toka project were writing tracks at DiY's studio and releasing EP's with their label, S4G. These tracks were stored on DAT Tape (remember) and left for release at a later date. When the Toka boys moved into their own place the DATS were misplaced and presumed lost for good. Unknown to anyone at the time, the tracks had simply been placed on a hard drive and forgotten about, until now. So, Borrowed is very proud to present a slice of unreleased 90s House just the way we like it and only on Vinyl for now......

After revetting the sold out Kompakt classics "Triumph" from Jürgen Paape (KOMPAKT 01 RSD) and The Field's "From Here We Go Sublime" (KOMPAKT 02 RSD), we direct our attention to another almost mystical release from our own days of yore: just as The Field's iconic debut album, DETTINGER's full-length milestone INTERSHOP from 1999 had never seen a vinyl release before - a much-deplored oversight that we're going to amend for Record Store Day 2015.


Restored to breathtaking beauty, the newly mastered INTERSHOP is one of our most renowned pre-millennium offerings, a surprise best seller and a style-defining predecessor of the then-nascent pop ambient genre. A massive fan favorite even after 16 years, it was originally released on CD only and held seven masterfully crafted cuts introducing the listener to a new blueprint for electronic music. Wayfaring somewhere in between field recordings, pop stylings and dreamy textures, sonics like these were simply unheard of: indeed latching onto early ambient experiments from artists like Wolfgang Voigt, but taking a different path to pop epiphany, DETTINGER carved out a niche on his own that was soon to become the breeding ground for a whole generation of ambient-minded artists. Also, INTERSHOP has been utterly sold out for a while now - another perfectly good reason to return to this masterpiece with a fresh set of ears. Let's lounge like it's 1999!

Re-press of the mega unfindable, but oh so essential ''Dance'' by E-Lover, almost 12 minutes of beats which remind of Kraftwerks ''Tour De France''. On the flip two parts of the legendary Pyramix which was only available on cd. Must have!!

Take Me Babe became a big hit in Europe as Warp Record licensed the track and released it as a single in 1996.Here we have 3 versions of the track all recorded at the same session at Jimi's home in Union Avenue NYC in summer 1993. The Original Version first appeared on Tenor's debut album Sähkömies on Sähkö Recordings in 1994. Two other previously unreleased versions were recently found on the original session tape. Sun Ra cover Travellin Dem Spaceways was recorded in the same night too.
