Opfer is a new project by Dutch artist Ian Martin and Belgian Artist Sebastien Crusener and Monument is their first album. Ian Martin needs no introduction to fans of adventurous electronic music. His versatile style allowed him to release on illustrious labels such as Bunker, Abstract Forms or Further Records. Sebastien Crusener has provided all source material in form of field recordings for their project and Ian modelled a abstract, minimal and dark ambient album that showcases a bleakness and almost disturbing coldness but yet makes you feel safely encapsulated in a world of comfort and strange beauty. Additionally Sebastien has kindly provided some wonderful poetry that gives you more insight into the world of Opfer. Dark ambient at it's best.

lse Marie Pade's Electronic Works 1958-1995 is a heavy duty three LP set which was restored, mastered and cut at Dubplates in Berlin under the watchful ears of curator Jacob Kirkegaard. These monumental works are presented, for the first time, pressed on audiophile grade heavy duty vinyl where they belong. 3LP is pressed in an edition of 500 copies. "The sounds outside became concrete music, and in the evening I could imagine that the stars and the moon and the sky uttered sounds and those turned into electronic music." Else Marie Pade Else Marie Pade (born 1924 in Aarhus, Denmark; currently living in Copenhagen) is a precious golden gem in the world of contemporary electro-acoustic music. She is a true pioneer of Musique Concrete and electronic music recorded on tape. She is Denmarks first lady of electronic music and her piece Syc Cirkler (Seven Circles) became Denmark's first electronic piece to be performed on the radio. EMP's search for sound began in early childhood when she was isolated in her bed for long periods of time due to illness. There she would lie and listen to the sounds around her just as she did years later when she was imprisoned for spying on Nazi compounds in Arhus. Once released from prison she became a piano student at the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen but chose to instead pursue the nuances of her inner sound world after hearing Pierre Schaeffer in 1952. A solitary shed by a lake. Surrounded by woods coated in ice. It's the deepest winter and the Pentatones quartet finds itself in the deserted nature of the Mecklenburg-Vorpommern County. They are searching for sounds pulsating beyond instruments and machines. Inaudible Music this is, made sound by them only. By night the four move over the frosted lake, play the clarinet and put themselves in a chilly trance. Months later they will remember dimly these moments in the woods and cast them atmospherically into their album debut 'The Devil's Hand' with icy romance. Highly attentive to details, they have worked on it for 3 years. Since 2006 the Pentatones tinker with their tessellate electroacoustic sound, in whose center the voice of singer Delhia de France is floating. To friends of club music she might be known from her collabs with techno producers such as Marlow, Douglas Greed or Robag Whrume. With the Pentatones she combines her emotional timbre in various forms with the raw basslines by Hannes Waldschütz and the analog and electronic beats and samples by Julian Hetztel a.k.a. Le Schnigg. Albrecht Ziepert creates melodic moods on the keys, whose appeal one can hardly elude. Their kaleidoscopic arrangements dance between susceptibility and experi­ment. Enticing pop structures melt with crackling analog electronics - a mixture laid out to make dance at times, at times to chill. The ambiance of her compositions is gloomy, yet light-flooded in a certain way. It is most notably Delhias voice, which outshines everything, never standing still, meandering and spinning, opening up a new emotional space with every bre­ath. The computer with its infinite production possibilities is used in its function as another instrument. Together with the sampler it forms the center of action, processing everything, from voice to keys, which needs an artistic distancing effect. A contrabass is setting the pace at times, then again the brass accelerates the tracks highly emotively. In stylistic regards their compositions are never predictable. A touch of organic jazz here, a subtle hip-hop allusion there, accompanied by a moving club rhythm structure and Delhias captivating voice, which sings, then talks, and whispers in the next moment.
It's not only the infinite world of sound, which inspires them to their adventurously twisted compositions. For all members being equally active in the visual field, art plays an impor­tant role in the act of creating and in the overall concept of the Pentatones. This is being reflected in their life shows, acknowledged with much applause on festivals like 'Sonne, Mond und Sterne', the 'Fusion Festival' or 'Ars Electronica'. When they sample themselves during their concerts, modify their sound in real time and vividly interpret their songs, Delhia dances audaciously in extravagant, self-designed costumes in haughty reserve and effuses eccentric pop magic. Sometimes she takes the megaphone and by hereby altering her voice, she infuses her music with another exotic tone. With their self-produced videos the Leipzig residents by choice create an artistic universe, which stages the dramatic lyrics of the lead singer in a sublime way. After all they see themselves as an artificial band, operating beyond the conventional patterns of presentation, bypassing intuitively and creatively common pop stereotypes. Twisted-Pop which gets straight under your skin, without ever grooving stream­lined. You can dance to it, lose yourself in it or step into new worlds. There is only one thing difficult to deal with after you enjoyed 'The Devil's Hand' and that's to release yourself from its overwhelming emotional impact.

Photay is the solo musical endeavor of Evan Shornstein, a 21-year-old hailing from the lush and peaceful evergreen valley of Woodstock, NY.

Having been introduced to Aphex Twin at the tender age of 9, he quickly began to embrace music in all of its forms. This early inspiration provided a foundation for his musical growth in drumming, turntablism and eventually composition. Drawing on a wide range of global influences, he dove headfirst into the world of audio experimentation, initially through mixes recorded using his turntables, and later on through the use of digital audio software.

After an eye-opening trip to Guinea, West Africa, Photay was born. Combining his newly acquired knowledge of polyrhythmic percussion and years of experimenting with sampling and field recordings, he went on to create and self-release his first project under the alias. Seamlessly combining a variety of audio sources and techniques, Photay's sound is a balancing act of analog and digital, of natural and synthetic. It is not designed exclusively for headphones nor for the dancefloor, but is genuinely at home in both contexts.

This unique and confident young voice is in full effect on his debut self-titled release for Astro Nautico. Restlessly playful, Photay's unique range of compositional skills is immediately apparent, with tempos and moods spontaneously emerging and evolving organically. Fusing catchy melodies with unusual textures, this is invigorating music that speaks an ancient language. It is vibrant, dynamic and beautifully unexpected. It will move you.

The highly promising Loopy opens its account with a double dose of disorientating, hypnotic botheration from NZ-er Oliver Peryman, ex of labels like Samurai Horo, Tri Angle and Exit. Both cuts are curtly compelling: SS is darting and hyper; Knecht more haunted, percussive.
On the flip, Kassem Mosse contributes some elastic, bubbling funk, with characteristic panache; and Oren Ambarchi settles in for twelve minutes of the frighteners.

The fourth release on 1-800-DINOSAUR comes from label co-founder and resident DJ James Blake. Road tested at summer festivals and on the 1-800-DINOSAUR BBC R1 residency show the 200 Press EP consists of 3 music songs and a weird poem, split across a 12" and 7" vinyl doublepack. The artwork has been carefully designed in photoshop by a designer before being printed onto individual labels by a machine and then stuck onto the vinyl. Each vinyl has been carefully placed into a black cardboard sleeve. This is the first ever release to be mastered by a pack of lions at the Addis Ababa Zoo in Ethiopia. Houston Based Rabit has been at the forefront of the instrumental grime scene and now prepares his debut EP for Soundman Chronicles. The EP entitled 'The Sun Dragon EP' is Rabit's first vinyl release in over a year. Rabit's output has always been consistently strong and the body of work he produces has always been of the great quality which was evident with the inclusion of his track 'Satellite' on the scene defining compilation 'Keysound Presents... This Is How We Roll' released on Dusk and Blackdown's Keysound Recordings Imprint. After this he then prepared his debut release for the Dublin based Glacial sound imprint which included three original Rabit productions alongside an Epoch remix. Rabit's productions have managed to stand out in a new generation of producers who are re-imagining the old template of grime and rehashing it into a style which is fresh without sounding nostalgic. While Rabit may be linked to grime his music stretches far beyond the boundaries placed on the genre which is evident with the level of DJ support he has received. With institutions like emerging instrumental grime collective Boxed (Oil Gang, Logos, Mr. Mitch and Slackk) including Rabit tunes on their compilations (Square Wave Shell Down w/ Mumdance and Red Candles), and artists such as Cashmere Cat using Rabit tunes in the mix, The Bug who has been supporting Rabit's music online and Oneman including standout Rabit productions on his last two Solitaire mix tapes, this has cemented him as an artist to watch in the near future. With a release lined up with Tri Angle records forthcoming, this EP was an opportunity for Rabit to explore different sonic textures which still worked with the aesthetic of Soundman Chronicles: space and groove. The Sun God EP is 4 original Rabit productions which explore different tempos as well as a variety of different spaces. 'Send' introduces the EP; with its sparse landscape and heavy atmospherics, the vocals provide the backdrop for the entire tune, keeping a sense of tension and groove. Next comes 'Atacama Skeleton', a track with a name well suited, this is the longest and most unpredictable of tunes on the EP. It's impossible to track the direction of this tune on any listen, regardless of if it's the first or the tenth listen. 'Sun God' is more of a melodic roller, based on very few elements but a hypnotic melody to keep your attention throughout. Finally we finish with 'Yellow Haze', a much sought after Rabit dubplate with its distorted basslines and hypnotic horns.

Design a Wave aka Tom Hirst has been making music since the late 90s, via bedroom synth, dictaphone collages and coldwave guitar textures. Since then, he has released music on Luke Younger's Alter Label as well as Rush Hour's No Label, developing his distinctive blend of experimental synth-wave.

This latest EP, International Journey of Synthetic Emotion, comprises of three tracks, introduced by experimental synths and drum patterns of track I. The EP delves into electro dance territory with track II, moving towards off-kilter house on the B-side.

His sterling productions have also drawn praise from the likes of Pitchfork, Noisey and DAZED, who called his music "R&B scattered with pockets of light", while FACT have drawn favorable comparisons to Rustie and Two Inch Punch.
J£ZUS MILLION, or Joesph Zucco to his friends, is an prodigious young Boston based beatmaker who began to turn heads last year when his debut single 'Illusions Of' featuring global pop sensation Charli XCX dropped on Double Denim. DYD is a new musical project that includes the members of the band DID, an Italian collective that has worked with bands such as Liquid Liquid, Breton and These New Puritans amongst others.

Their debut EP "GOD" is due to be released on Gang Of Ducks on the 1st of December, written and composed by themselves and produced by the Italian electronic composer Vaghe Stelle.Their music is a fusion between hyper percussive pop and the so called "Italian New Wave" music scene, inspired by people like Vaghe Stelle, Lorenzo Senni and Dave Saved to name but a few.

Computer Club is a Sheffield-based electronic label born out of the club night that has featured DJ sets and live performances from NHK'Koyxen, The Black Dog and Mat Steel (snd). The first release is a limited edition 7" single from French musician Poborsk. If you are familiar with Icasea, the great experimental electronica label run by Satoshi Aizawa, Tom Knapp and Alex Peverett (1/2 of Skam veterans Team Doyobi), you probably already know Poborsk's music.

If not then think Autechre and Skam: deep, melodic and abstract electronica with an almost non-human level of detail.

ORKA is a Faroese act based in London. When ORKA started they began with building their own instruments out of agricultural tools on a small farm on the Faroe Islands. ORKA has since then played venues and festivals all over the world and done collaborations with a number of prominent acts including LV (Hyperdub, Keysound), Yann Tiersen, and Ólafur Björn Ólafsson (Sigur Rós). Now ORKA is ready with their 4th full-length album LEIPZIG. The bulk of the album was recorded at UT Connewitz, a spectacular and worn down pre-war cinema in the heart of Leipzig, Germany, together with Oktopus (Dälek), Ólavur Jákupsson, and HOGNI. Other recordings were done on tour in Paris, New York, a small church in Sibrandahûs, Netherlands, a boat in Hong Kong and a train terminal in Bombay. The album was then finalised and patched together in ORKA's and co-producers LV's London studios, and it features vocals by Greta Svabo Bech (Deadmau5) and Teitur among others. On LEIPZIG ORKA's trademark custom instruments and dark sound are fused with sedated resounds from UK Bass and LA Beat topped with icy North Atlantic vocals. ORKA call it Club Gaze. If compared to other artists, you could say that the album sounds like J Dilla's Donuts if it was produced by Burial, with the Nordic melodic sensibility of Sigur Rós, and performed by Faust."

As ambient soundscapes are gradually suffused in dense drums and interchanging rhythms, a gravitational force dominates with a surging growth. The inaugural release for the label offshoot of Australian radio show Noise In My Head, 'Tracks For Performance' serves up two new tracks from LA-based anomaly Suzanne Kraft. Originally conceived as a contemporary dance score, these proven body movers are some of the producer's toughest work to date. 'Dead Ringer' finds a snake charmer harmonising with the racket of a metal works factory while 'Ruff Bathers' tries to operate the forklift under heavy sedation.

Key players of the Scandinavian electro scene have worked together to deliver a snapshot of their unique sound for BT04. Luke Eargoggle, Kan3da, Obergman and Rutherford deliver everything from icy electro to downtempo, mournful IDM leanings. Between them, the artists have released on highly respected labels such as Bunker, Abstract Forms, AC and Transient Force.

Luke Eargoggle also runs the important and highly respected label Stilleben. All copies come with an individual screenprinting sleeve and include digital download.

Norwegian duo Soft as Snow makes experimental pop for the interplanetary set, echoing the sounds of minimal wave and early Warp releases. Their approach to music making is hands-on; avoiding laptops in favour of analogue synths, drum machines and samplers, mixed with idiosyncratic vocals and heavily processed guitars. They'll be releasing their debut EP, 'Glass Body', for Houndstooth on July 21st, 2014.

Soft as Snow is Oda Egjar Starheim and Øystein Monsen's first electronic venture, yet their collaboration was initiated years ago through art related performances and projects - including creating their own utopic art and music festival in the Swedish forest, and performing at events in cities such as London (where they are now based) and Oslo.

The duo has invited Julie Born Schwartz to design the cover art for their EP, which also features a remix by Asher Levitas of Old Apparatus, Saa and Penny. Meanwhile, their first upcoming video for the track 'Halo Heart,' created by Michael Crowe from Overshare Records, Penny and Mysterious Letters, is currently on display in DZIALDOV Gallery in Berlin.

On their second full-length, experimental supergroup Piiptsjilling set out to both deepen and roughen up the pastoral and peaceful sound of their 2008 debut release. A coherent unit formed by guitar & poetry duo Jan and Romke Kleefstra as well as Machinefabriek's Rutger Zuydervelt and Soccer Committee's Mariska Baars, the band delineate increasingly dark lyrical textures resonating with nocturnal atmospheres and tactile sound-operations on guitar, pedals and various looping devices. Building on patient and immersive improvisations and working with both sonorous drones and ghostly micronoises, Wurdskrieme moves at a dream-pace, substituting linear logic with a brushwood of metaphors and emotional abstractions. The underlying feeling of a subcutaneous tension is further accentuated by Jan Kleefstra's expressionist poetry delivered in the language of his native Friesland, a province in the far North of the Netherlands. Contrasting serene soundscapes like opener 'Unkrud' with more tranquil moments featuring acoustic instrumentation ('Wurch'), the result spans up a sonic space that not only represents an evolution from their earlier work, but also takes them far beyond traditional categories and conventions.

(December Collective Title) Mr. Mitch is one of a small group of producers who in the last few years have been re-imagining the decade-old genre of Grime. Miles Mitchell, a 26 year-old South East Londoner, started his own Gobstopper label back in 2010 after having his debut release on Butterz. Last year he started the flourishing Boxed 'Instrumental Grime' night alongside producers Slackk, Logos and Oil Gang. For Mr. Mitch, Grime has "...always been an experimental and progressive genre, taking elements of what came before it and pushing those boundaries to create something new".His debut album is called 'Parallel Memories' and Miles has an intriguing story that explains that title. When listening to his tracks, he sees the same vivid scenes in his head each time he replays the music, often repeated snapshots of his life in various impossible scenarios or distorted situations. This made him think "What if the images I'm seeing are memories from an alternative version of me in a parallel dimension" A question which reflects his vision of Grime too, as his instrumentals are informed by a quite personal and emotive alter-life, where Grime's famous minimalism gives way to a gentle subtlety and is imbued with a very different feeling to the brash aggression associated with the genre.The album intro 'Afternoon After' is the bleary-eyed sound of the club the night before, broken down into swirling child-like synth melodies, coiling over flattened, but airy kick drums. 'The Night' follows, sounding like something Boards Of Canada might do if they came from S.E. London, its gorgeous flute melodies opening up gracefully over minimal rhythms and shifting static tones. 'Intense Faces' marks a shift in the energy to bassline, synth swoops and sharp claps, a child-like bleep tune playing out over the top. 'Don't Leave' switches the mood to one of sadness, its rising chords evolving over a repeated, slowed-down acapella. Elsewhere 'Sweet Boy Code', a collaboration with fellow Gobstopper artist Dark0, lets spacey kicks propel its gentle relaxed melodies over airy sampled vocals. The midpoint track 'Wandering Glaciers' twists Grime into what sounds like a tense piece of early electronica. Meanwhile 'Bullion' chops up a lumbering sample that sound like a marauding giant. The album finishes on 'Hot Air', with its drum pattern sounding like a slow heart beat and strange, backwards synths, it feels like a voyage around a body.This is an album that deserves to find an audience who are willing to go on a journey into new areas with Grime

"Reacting to the sounds around him, words said in passing, shards of birdsong, a glint of breeze and kids at play, Freund stands at the center to create gentle meanderings to add as his part of the symbiotic conversation. The soothing sun is recorded alongside soft voices; the intake of a breath mixes with laughter of children. The album can be understood as a dialogue between the small moments occurring around us and our natural response within the ongoing discussion. Existing outside space and time, each rotation of the record brings the listener some place new or imagined, where beauty overwhelms, an everlasting hum envelops us, and we saunter along as present as we'll ever be.

Reissue von vier Brian Eno Soloalben aus der Phase zwischen 1992-1997. Deluxe-Doppel-CDs jeweils mit Originalalbum und exklusivem, bislang unveröffentlichtem Material (CD2), jeweils im Mediabook samt 16-seitigem Booklet. This story looks at the outside world from within and utilizes travels and adventures as a way to explore the world as outer space.

Since their BBC Maida Vale session for Steve Lamacq in 2012, Soccer96 have been wowing rock, jazz, electronic and all kinds of audiences with their frenetic yet devastatingly tight live sets.
On 'Jupiter Masterdrive' the London synth and drum duo further hone their blend of jazz, prog and electronica within the confines of brevity demanded by the 7" format. Recorded direct-to-tape over a few heady sessions, these tracks bear the palpably unfolding, organic beauty of improvisation and live recording while conveying ever deeper levels to the pair's musical and artistic vision. The band recorded these pieces in constant experimentation with their tape machine, trying different approaches and techniques for each track; this is a small glimpse into the process and a tantalising sample from an expansive body of recordings.
'Constellation' creates a drugged out, noir-ish setting with its sighing melodies and enigmatic cadences but the booming kicks and pistol-crack rimshots swagger through exotic back alleys, taking pot-shots in the murk and gloom. 'Flight Formation' recalls the most jazz informed reaches of Detroit techno, so much so that house maestro Glenn Astro couldn't help but offer up an extended DJ-friendly edit. The earthy, melancholy bassline threads its way through a percussive crescendo while hypnotic, interlocking keyboard patterns cycle steadfastly in the background. 'Step Overs' lurches into being, all its disconnected drums assembling and lining up like a firing squad to deliver a barrage of beat-blasts, resulting in a spandau ballet of synth spasms.
This release is not just the sound of immensely talented players exploring their shared chemistry and technologies. Instead it could be seen as a manifesto for how to successfully use live instruments to interpret today's myriad strands of electronic music. And it fits in perfectly with WotNot's own mantra of focusing on innovation and imagination to deliver music that stimulates and delights

Drew Lustman aka FaltyDL released his fourth long player 'In The Wild' back in August and he returns to the fray armed with a new 8-track mini album.

From the moody chug of 'Greater Antilles VIP' - appearing in its original unedited glory - to Lustman's own bruk beatdown version 'Do Me' ('This one is for the kids' he says), the palette here is as rich and diverse as on 'In The Wild'.

The reworks come direct from Lustman's extended musical family - Planet Mu boss Mike Paradinas (aka µ-Ziq), Blueberry Records' very own Brrd and the relative newcomer from LA (via Bolivia) E+E.

The second release on Kutmah's IZWID imprint is a rare collection of bugged out electronic soul from the Los Angeles-based vocalist, producer and poet, Seven Davis Jr. "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" spans 12 years of experimental, cosmic out-of-body-and-mind music, of mostly four and eight track recordings once lost in storage via a lengthly hiatus due to drug addiction and depression.
Resurfacing in 2012, Seven Davis Jr.'s 'Thanks' appeared on Kutmah's much lauded "Worldwide Family Vol. 2" compilation on Brownswood Recordings, after which the kaleidoscopic artist released the clattering funked beats of "Lo-Fi Vintage" and house-inspired "One" EP.
For IZWID, "The Lost Tapes Vol. 1" is a creative blueprint for Davis Jr.'s brilliantly unorthodox approach with his beautifully raw drums and psychotropic harmonies. "I made a lot of this music many years ago and other labels and artists hated on me for it," says Davis Jr. of the lost tapes. "They said it was too weird, too different, sounded like drug music (it was) and they told me I was going to hell, for 'Pornostar'. Years later; new life, new city, new day and age. I found the music again, which I never stopped loving and decided to send it all to Kutmah.
