After releasing two hype EPs already this year ('Motherboard' on Hardrive and 'Lighter' on Formula), one of UK Funky's most prolific producers wastes no time in striking again with 'Sensitivity' - something a little less aggressive than usual but still maintaining the fierce danceable groove that Champion is famed for. Ruby Lee Ryder lends her vocals to the A-side's silky production; with delicate harmonies she sings in a lullaby fashion to sweetly compliment the subtle synth stabs and refined chopped bassline. Champion's signature raw drum programming is still on show, although less prominent, fuelling the track with plenty of natural rhythm and adding to its sultry nature. Only the second release on Champion's newly-minted Formula Records imprint, 'Sensitivity' has gained early support from Mistajam, Marcus Nasty and Cameo as well as featuring on Ben UFO's current 'Rinse 16' mix compilation. The B-side sees Champion in more familiar dancefloor territory with the unrelenting 'Tun Up Di Bass', bound to please fans of 130 BPM bass music from the likes of Redlight and Roska.

Brian Gibbs aka Echo Park has had a colourful life to say the least, living and making music in L.A., Tokyo, Madrid, Mexico City and now Santiago, Chile where he lives with his young family. Previously a producer of dark hip hop and dub, a series of disasters made him confront mortality and decide it was time to make the music that is closest to his heart: luscious, sunshine-infused electro-funk full of laid back attitude and 'real songs'.Skream has always been a lover of disco, boogie and electro - as anyone who's heard one of his specialist sets or his slick'n'sleazy remix of Chromeo will know. It took just one hearing of Brian's first Echo Park tracks via a mutual friend to snap them up for Disfigured Dubz. In fact he has chosen Echo Park for the first full album on the label... but first comes this killer single, a shmoooove bit of vocoder funk that sets the tone for Echo Park's twin obsessions with technology and romance. Bundled with it are a gutbusting ravemonster of a rework by 12th Planet & Flinch that somehow still keeps the soul of the track intact, and Jon Convex taking it way underground with a deeper-than-deep analogue techno version. Renowned ex-Roll Deep MC Trim's unique tongue twisting style continues to grow in popularity, with new tracks in the works soon with Skream, Toddla T, Starkey and Terror Danjah. His buzz-building 'Stereotype' collaboration with Mark Pritchard drops on Planet Mu early in September, but before that, he joins the growing Butterz camp for the label's second vocal excursion, the hugely-in-demand and available now 'I Am. Revisiting TRC's 'Skipping Rope' instrumental from the first release in the Butterz White Label series, 'I Am' is Trim on a more laid back vibe then his usual 'war monger' approach, but it is one of the best things he has written so far, already strongly supported by a host of big name DJs including Logan Sama, Sinden, Benji B, and Mistajam. On the remix duties are young Birmingham producer Preditah, who has been climbing the ranks this year producing for JME and the Earth 616 label, followed by Hyperdub / Keysound residents LV, who keep up the skippy vibe of the original on their vinyl-only version. Finally, 'Notice Now' on the flip is a new Trim vocal on D.O.K.'s 'Chemical Planet' tune, which first appeared on Butterz in 2010.

'Gangsta' recently took on a different shape when the band made their US TV debut on Late Night With Jimmy Fallon two weeks ago, with Merrill and the band performing it with The Roots.
This 12' takes the hip-hop inspired elements of 'Gangsta' even further with remixes from legends in the field, Adrock (Beastie Boys) and Cut Chemist (Jurassic 5, Ozomatli and DJ Shadow collaborator). Like all good old school records, the 12' is completed with not only the original but also with both the instrumental and
a cappella versions of the track.

Rob Ellis, AKA Pinch is the owner of one of the original and highly influential Dubstep labels Tectonic who have signed, developed and released music from some of the scene's biggest acts such as Joker, 2562, Cyrus, Digital Mystikz, Skream, Jack Sparrow and of course Pinch. Pinch is also founder of Subloaded, Bristol's finest Bass rave, who has recently celebrated their 6th Birthday. This is Pinch's first release on Mala's DEEP MEDi imprint and we feel it's his best work to date, we'll sure you'll agree. 'Swish' has been played relentlessly by Mala over the last year as well as a select lucky few able to get their hands on it such as Skream, Loefah, Youngsta and V.I.V.E.K. 'Swish' is classic Pinch, dark, moody and sparse, heavily influenced by Techno, with a sub- bass and kick to destroy any bass bin, pure soundsystem music. 'Tunnel Home' on the flip sees Pinch in experimental mode switching up the tempo, 155. This still has the Pinch trademark darkness and efx's but oozes a stealthily undercurrent and coldness with its complex drum programming and industrial approach, reminiscent of early Photek output.

Built of sterner stuff than you might expect, Redinho's musical palette morphs and fractures with every new production. Born and raised on funk, Redinho is as much a product of the 80s as he is the current dance music climate
