The new record features all new material from the Hyperdub founder and his MC collaborator, and will follow up their 2006 album Memories of the Future. In the years since that release, Kode9's sound has evolved considerably, mostly shedding the framework of dubstep for ever new mutations of UK bass music, as heard on his DJ Kicks or the You Don't Wash EP from last year. In addition to The Spaceape's post-apocalyptic rhymes, which have also haunted records by Martyn and Echologist, the album features Chinese MC and producer Cha Cha. On the final track, Kode9 is joined in the studio by Brainfeeder beatsmith Flying Lotus
