Following a slew of acclaimed releases on Left Blank and Tri Angle, as well an album with the much-lauded Young Echo collective, Vessel debuts on the burgeoning Liberation Technologies imprint with three diverse cuts of inimitable off-kilter electronics.
'Misery Is A Communicable Disease' serves as a euphoric opener, primed for moments of escapism on or off the dancefloor with resonant hats and an exultant synth line laid bare upon a bed of gauzy pads and valve-warmed kicks. VMI is a different beast altogether, channeling the visceral spirit of minimal wave and punk aesthetic to create a sordid call to arms before the frenzied acid and lingering menace of 'Not For Design' closes the record in typically deranged fashion.

Indeed, when the great book of Dub music is written the names Scott Monteith and Paul St Hilaire will undoubtedly figure highly in its chapters devoted to recent years. Monteith, the last great prodigal son of the doctrine handed down from the Blue Mount of Lord Scratch and King Tubby, St Hilaire the undisputed voice of a generation, those fanatical warrior monks, followers of the most Holy House of Ernestus and Von Oswald incarnate.

Having developed a fast friendship from their very first meeting in Montreal at the premier Micro Mutek event a decade ago, Deadbeat and Tikiman's occasional collaborative performances have since blown the minds of audiences from Berlin to Tokyo and many points in between. No great surprise then that their first album length venture is a Tour de Force of Dub music of the highest order.

Nearly a year in the making, the genetic code of Deadbeat's Infinity Dubs series gets shot through with a Dreader than Dread Kingstonian logic, hi hats dropping back from the three to the one, Tikiman at his most militant, poetic, fierce, and flowing. These are the recordings of two lions uncaged, and none who bare witness shall escape their fiery judgement.

If music is truly eternal, here be two voices which shall echo in infinity with all the weight, reverence, and dire power unleashed with every tectonic bass hit, and every whimsical turn of phrase. And if these eight burnt offerings are any indication of what happens when these two sit down for a session of smoke and reasoning, here's hoping they choose to do it frequently. Dub without end. Ad Infinitum.

First vinyl release for Top Nice UK after running nights in London and Stockholm for 8 years, also first release for Paul B. Davis under his Mr. One Hundred moniker. Davis's previous releases under his own name and and as The 8-Bit Construction Set appeared on Beige Records, Matthew Herbert's Soundslike label, and the Sonic Arts Network.

Plasma Audio mark the first step in their record label's life with a huge remix of Safire & Amoss' track '4th State feat Gusto', from the Dutch production lord, Icicle, of Shogun Audio fame. With its four furious minutes having been spoken for, the focus shifts to '2012' and 'Chavland,' the two less crushing than '4th State' but compelling on their own terms. With a distorted, grime-soaked vocal growl in tow, '2012' digs into its trippy glitchtronic vibe and future-funk groove with serious headnodding purpose, before 'Chavland' rolls out a muscular, high-velocity neurofunk pulse to re-establish the release's drum'n'bass character.

For Samuel Evans, or Rain Dog, creating this album was a vast experiment to combine different attempts of blending more traditional elements of song writing and composition with the more contemporary influences of modern electronic dance and bass music, all within the confines of his computer and chair...
Being compelled by melody and variation, Rain Dog, by his own admission, never had much talent for songwriting in terms of lyrics. To circumvent this, however, he focuses on creating a narrative within the music through the combination of synth work and samples. He starts with anything that sparks an interest or emotion in him - Tom Waits, Joni Mitchel, Ella Fitzgerald, Portico Quartet and moments from movies, samples like these usually work as a foundation for the tracks. He then adds layers of unique and organic synth sounds (a notion he finds quite interesting when working entirely from a digital platform) before eventually completing the production with the beat.

The next release on Tempa is a three-track affair from Boston-based producer AxH. Having grown up on hip-hop and jungle, in recent years AxH has steadily been gathering attention for his low-slung, rolling takes on dubstep and cryptic ear for melody. His tracks have become regulars in the radio shows and record bags of scene luminaries such as Youngsta and J:Kenzo,and the Destroy12" marks his debut release for Tempa.
In line with the resurgence in foundational dubstep aesthetics, AxH's take on the genre iss tark and stripped back to basics yet brimming with subtle detail, and the three tracks on his Tempa 12" (plus one digital-only exclusive) showcase various sides of his sound. In his hands, sub-bass and drums are malleable as putty, assembled with an organic and hands-on sensibility into tracks whose grooves are enigmatic yet involving.Lead track 'Destroy' matches its name, lumbering from speaker stacks in abarrage of crumpling percussion, shuddering the space around it as it goes,while 'Everdine' is atmospheric, cinematic halfstep that plumbs sinister psychic depths. 'Giant Footprints' is remarkable: machinic and robotic in tone,its percussion is as hard yet flexible as tensile steel, lashing out against pinprick melody lines.

His previous release was as part of the Dub Mechz duo so it won't come as a big surprise that he has chosen to debut his solo
offering under DEEP MEDi MUSIK.

New Moon Recordings' cornerstone artist Hatti Vatti is set to release his long-awaited debut album, entitled Worship Nothing, on 3
February 20
Having released a string of 12"s since 2009, Hatti Vatti's sound has previously flowed seamlessly between deep dubstep and a
minimal, Autonomic sound. Releases for Mindset, New Moon, On The Edge, and Absys have marked this Polish producer apart for
his cinematic take on bass-driven, dub-rooted electronic music.
Hatti Vatti closed 2013 with the release of Algebra, a stripped-down mini-album of Middle Eastern field recordings and ambient
techno for Nowe Nagrania.
Worship Nothing sees Hatti Vatti's artistic journey culminate into a single, coherent vision - a vision that is simultaneously spacious
and deeply intimate. A futuristic sheen of 80's nostalgia penetrates much of Worship Nothing, even within the familiar restrained dub
of "Struggle" (with Polish vocalist Sara Brylewska) and "Wonderful World" (with Irish vocalist Cian Finn). The organic synths remain In
"Treasure" and "72 Dub", though the rhythms become decidedly more manic, hinting towards the feverish feel of footwork while
remaining decidedly introspective.
Floating, haunted vocals pervade the half-step of "Tokyo" a shimmering collaboration with Manchester producer Synkro. Also
hovering around the minimal 170bpm sound are "Synthesis"
and "Black Flowers", which features vocals from Lady Katee.
Slowing down to a garage-tinted swing, "Nights" is yet another collaboration with a UK artist - Versa.
Throughout Worship Nothing, Hatti Vatti has created an atmosphere that draws the listener deep into his own world of beautifully

Emerging onto the dubstep scene in 2007, His meticulous production and inimitable approach to Dubstep has earned him releases
on a plethora of revered labels such as: Ranking Records, Dubting, Dubbed Out, Transistor and more recently Innamind Recordings'
with his critically acclaimed debut single Strong Root' in 2013.
Strongly influenced by world music his consistently evolving sound took a step up in 2012 gaining full support by the likes of
Youngsta (Rinse Fm/ Tempa), J Kenzo (Rinse Fm/ Tempa), N- Type (Rinse Fm/ Wheel & Deal), Author (BlackBox) Joe Nice (Gourmet
Beats) and many more. Early February 2014 see's Pressed welcome Quantum Soul to the ever-growing imprint with a 12' resonating
in high energy, demonstrating this artist's technical ability is a innovative force to be reckoned with.
The flipside features Ruckspin (Author/ Submotion Orchestra) & Medison (Founder and owner of Pressed Records) on remix duties.
Having released their debut sell out EP Marger - Space' (PRD003) back in 2013, both artists have individually gained worldwide
support from the likes of BBC Radio1, BBC1Xtra, Kiss and Rinse Fm radio shows.

Strand is a Spanish musician/producer based in Brussels (Belgium). He has released several records on labels like Foehn Records, City Centre Offices, Project Mooncircle, and Lowriders among others. He has played festivals including Sonar and has produced multimedia shows using max/msp/Jitter for La Noche en Blanco (Madrid) and La Nuit Blanche (Brussels). He has collaborated with writer Barry Gifford (writer of Wild at Heart and Lost Highway by David Lynch), MC Non Genetic from Shadow Huntaz, and musician Takeshi Nishimoto and been remixed by Funckarma and Hudson Mohawke.


The Story During 4 days at the start of 2013, Strand was given a second residency at the Red Bull Studio in Madrid. The first residency in the summer of 2012 resulted in the "Cajas sin ahorros", 7" released by Lovemonk. This time round he had two ideas in mind: paying homage to G-funk and Gangsta Rap (drawing a parallel between the gangstaz and bankstaz of the current Spanish economic crisis) and working with a soul-afrobeat horn section which was conveniently named The Financial Horns. The project would also include his made-up band, The Banksters composed of Javier Diez-Ena from jazz-surf outfit Dead Capo, Mario Zamora from out-rockers Luger and engineer and producer extraordinaire Oswaldo Terrones who has recorded tracks by Daedelus, Laurel Halo, Sonic Boom and Howe Gelb. Horns, analogue synths and digital live processed guitars are used to display the variety of Strand's music and outrage at the economic crisis. The result is the Bankstaz' Paradize 12".

The peninsula's finest purveyors of everything bass-related are back in action as Iberian Records releases the third instalment of the Tax Haven EP series, where all sorts of musical refugees find exile with unpredictable results. Taking a cue from its predecessors, Tax
Haven 3 unites four different artists on wax and digital format - Bass Clef, Photonz, Cauto and Niño - who present four different
brands of low-end heavy music for the dance floors, as well as that space between headphones.
While the London-based Bass Clef takes us on a ride with the slow-burning monolithic 4x4 of 'Acid 8' and then through the grey
areas between UK funky and straight-up garage on 'Love At Last Sight', the Portuguese vintage ravers Photonz discover life in new planets through deconstructed drum&bass beats in 'The Fire Sower' and explore the alien properties of bouncy bass lines and
syncopated beats in 'Cacilheiro'. The Barcelona-native Cauto provides his groovy take on futuristic bass music on 'Lu-fuki' and
'Fukurou', where delayed vocals provide comfort and the funky vibes push us towards the dance floor. Speaking of funk, Niño
delivers it in spades through his unique
brand of epic neon synth-driven beats, channeling everything from hip-hop to dubstep and R&B on 'Midnighters' and 'Carrera'.

Alight is a new project by Ross Tones (a.k.a. Throwing Snow, and one half of Snow Ghosts), released through Local Action.
Tones has been releasing dancefloor magic since 2007, finding support from big names like Bonobo and Thom Yorke (both of whom
have requested him as tour support in the last few years). In 2011, he debuted on Local Action with 'Too Polite', a brittle jungle single
released several years before the whole junglist revival that's come to dominate music conversations in 2013. Iridis's title track started
as a live version of 'Too Polite', and developed into something deeper and darker over several shows and studio sessions. It's easy
the heaviest thing Tones has released.
The rest of the EP formed around 'Iridis', and finds Tones exploring sub-zero house, trunk-rattling dubstep and in the case of closing
track 'Caligo', drone. It's gnarly as you like, and it's only the start.

Artikal Music UK launches into 2014 with a stomping EP from newly signed artist EshOne. The New Mexico based Producer & DJ
leads as one of the main producers pushing the Dubstep sound forward in North America. The complete EP reflects upon his unique
& formidable take on the 140 BPM soundscape. ARTKL011 pushes onward with four carefully selected tracks from EshOne, each
individual and showcasing the depth within his production talents.
The 'Petroglyphs EP' carves out a dense atmospheres, vibrant lead synths & snares drenched in reverb. EshOne draws upon organic
sounds throughout, from the sampling of flowing water, to his choice in tribal drums to the soft whispers of a moaning female,

Henry and Louis 'Rise Up' - Pinch and RSD Remixes // Remastered
Originally built on Henry and Louis' 'Tenth Dub' Riddim from the LP 'Rudiments',1994 the
'Rise Up' vocal version first appeared on the ground breaking 'Time Will Tell' LP back in 2001. The track fast became a Bristol anthem and Steve Harper's heart felt cry for unity galvanised a whole generation. Fast forward to 2008 and Bristol is firmly at the heart of a new wave of Dubstep, taking influences from Croyden and blending them with Bristol roots culture. With soundsystem sensibilities stripped back to its rawest form, Pinch injects a fresh take on 'Rise Up' and an anthem for a new generation is born. Forming the back-drop to Mary Anne Hobbs BBC Radio 1 spotlight feature on the burgeoning Bristol scene has immortalised the track in true Bristol history.
Originally released as tracks on a split EP, Pinch and RSD's seminal remixes have been have been remastered and pressed on a single limited 12' and are set to once again light up the dancefloor with the message: 'Freedom for equal rights'. As a follow-up to the recent 'Love Like' remixes, 2 Kings Records goes forward into 2014 with a slew of new releases set to further cement the label at the forefront of the Bristol Dub sound. Featuring artists such as Kahn, RSD,and Sickman D.
Pinch's remix recently appeared on his 'Missing In Action' compilation on his own Tectonic Recordings. The track has received widespread praise and once again shone the spotlight on the highly talented producer.

'Black' is the eagerly awaited debut EP from 21-year old soul singer from SE London Moko and 2013 was the year that she both graduated from Goldsmiths and took her first solid steps into what's sure to be a long and fruitful career as a solo artist. 2014 is sure to be hers for the taking.
We first heard from Moko earlier this year when she uploaded her first demo 'Summon The Strength' which went along way to win
over early adopters and the support of tastemakers. The online chatter about her fresh take on 90's soul, house and R&B infused emotive pop lead to key gigs including The Great Escape, BBC Introducing stage at Glastonbury, Boiler Room (with her idol Neneh Cherry) as well as her own sold out headline shows at Birthdays and Electrowerks in the summer and more recently at Corsica Studios.

* Uprise Audio continue their run of form with dubstep staple Wayfarer's first ever EP release. As to be expected, the 'Afterlight' EP (UA005) is another must-purchase release from the imprint.
* It's hard to believe Uprise Audio are only six releases into their catalogue; given their enviable rise to the top of pretty much every chart that matters. After the success of 'Live From The Future', the label's first compilation LP, the Uprise Audio team are releasing the first EP from one of the most exciting producers in 140 bass music; Wayfarer.
* Seven opened one of his recent appearances on Rinse FM with 'Afterlight' (seamlessly blending it with the 'Reflections' acapella) and immediately got the 140 faithful buzzing.
When an instrumental works with or without an extremely powerful vocal, you know it's going to be good. 'Afterlight' leads the listener on a percussion-led adventure, full of haunting samples, lumbering subs and stuttering drum work.
'Azuma' follows with its own personality, bringing an oriental vibe to the EP. The track opens with a foreboding intro before the arrival of a relentless kick announces a full-blown tribal stomper. 'Azuma' evokes a 'F.O.T.Z'-level of energy; this one is guaranteed to destroy the dance.

This one-sided pressing features non-album cut 'Stage 2', an Andrea production straddling delirious Trap
signatures pushed into the red with a f**ckload of found sounds squashed into the mix. We'd say it's a taster
for the album but - in all honesty - it sounds nothing like anything that's on there.

This twentieth 3024 release is by my friend Trevino. I'm particularly proud to put this out because it was Trevino (aka Marcus Intalex), who signed my very first tracks and gave me my break back in 2005 (a 12 called Get Down on his label Revolve:r).In the last two years he's started taking his techno more seriously, writing new tracks at a very fast pace. I'm glad people are taking notice of his music cos he is the real deal and it was tough picking tracks for this release cos he's making so many!Ultimately we chose four that would clearly showcase Marcus' different sides and styles. So, seven years after my 'Get Down', I am proudly presenting the mighty Trevino with his 'Tactical Manoeuvre EP'.

After the seventieth release Smiley Fingers decided to start a new limited catalog oriented toward a more eclectic sound.For the first release it proposed a masterpiece by Franky B (aka Cryptic Monkey) titled Vesuvius Bunks.In Vesuvius Bunks, Franky B combines dub-techno elements with a slow groove, on this track there are no voices but synthetic bass lines that remembers of the Neapolitan volcano's vibrations. Franky B was born in Herculaneum, the town at the foot of Vesuvius, and this is the tribute to his hometown.Dark, solemn and gigantic, Mount Vesuvius dominates the Bay of Naples.For centuries the population has lived under its shadow, silent and pulsating The ancestral fear of his power, telluric vibrations and its constant presence are traces indelibly imprinted into the looks of these people.The pulsating bass rolls on groove, like the magma penetrates through the cavities of the earth, while the sound of a saxophone warms the hearts like an African wind...Enraptured by this vision, Luigi Pane, director and creative director of Abstract:groove, decides to turn the sound of Franky B into images, realizing the Video Clip.This single will be released on Oct 1st and will contain two tracks, an original mix and a version featuring the saxophonist James Senese from Naples.
Franky B aka Cryptic Monkey is one of the most versatile figures in the Italian club scenario. Beginning DJing at 12, through the years he became also a very appreciate producer and live performer. As member of the Men in Skratch's crews, he won the world DMC Championship in 2000 and 2001 in London. Along his 20 years career, Franky expresses his talent in several ways, from djs sets to videos' soundtracks for firm such as Diesel, Dolce& Gabbana, Pirelli Re, Total, Refrigiwear, Energie, Ferré. Currently committed as the official live sets dj for the most important music radio show in Italy: RaiTunes, broadcasted by Radio2 RAI, hosted by Alessio Bertallot. Abstract:groove is a hybrid between a creative collective and a motion design studio, founded by the film-maker and designer Luigi Pane and the executive producer Giada Risso. The studio, based in Milan, mainly works on the research of new visual languages in communication and advertising. Since 2004 the team have directed projects for Diesel, Dolce&Gabbana, Gianfranco Ferre, Enel, Total, Invicta and Luxottica.
