Time for another audio assault, as expected from the deadly duo 'Fused Forces', heavy dancefloor destruction is flavour of the day with the 4th release from the Substance Abuse camp.

No doubt looking for somewhere with a bit of political stability and a brighter economic future, 24 year old Polish producer Jan Dudzik aka Sekta recently joined many of his compatriots by leaving London and farking off back to his native Warsaw. Luckily, he left us a bottle of the finest vodka to remember him by, and a four track EP of stepping rhythms, fat bass and dubby atmospherics to help wash it down. Lead track 'Liquid Tek'combines deep pads, pulsing subs, metallic riffs and broken beats into a floor friendly, but contemplative post dubstepper. Similar elements are combined in ' I Need' , with a sliver of vocal adding an extra layer to the musical equation. 'Hakka Riddim' takes things a bit heavier, coiling beefy synth stabs around it's insistent rhythms , and employing a spacey string interlude to break things up along the way. Closing track 'Deep in the Woods' takes the trace of D n B textures that run through the EP and lets loose, with full on, chopped up Amen breaks accompanying futuristic pads, robo-synths and occasional flourishes of cinematic strings that hint of Easter European nostalgia.

First brought to light by the SB.TV F64 freestyles the ubiquitous 'Wooo Riddim' was arguably one of the most exposed grime tracks of the past year and now see its vinyl release as the second release on the Butterz white label series. The track has already been vocalled by D Double E, Footsie, P. Money, Chipmunk, JME and Jammer and has continued to stir up debate as to who has the best version. The tracks popularity has exceeded the 18-year old producer, S-X's, expectations by a long mile. Taking its influence from dirty-south hip-hop, 'Wooo Riddim' leans on on a stern 808 drum-roll and is accompanied by somewhat hypnotic synth-lines that compliment the laid back feeling of the track. The latest releases from a Producer famous for his persistent abuse of 4×4 convention, Scratcha DVA presents the New World Order EP on his own DVA Music imprint. Showcasing 4 tracks from a range of Producers the EP opens with a pair of brand new Scratcha DVA productions. The title tracks bomb shelter rave dynamics combine spiraling synths, warm organ stabs and heaving bass tones to apocalyptic effect while its companion 'Schizophrenic' lives up to its name, alternating a floor filling 8 bit 2 tone skank with churning Grime synths at their most sour. The flipside offers up Roska ally Uncle Bakongo's brutally stripped down take on Soule Power's= 'Lost', pairing industrial strength drums with decaying vocal snippets and brooding keys before a last minute change of pace resolves the vocal tension. For reasons nobody knows, The Magnet Men have changed their name to Imetic. Here's their first release on Hardcore Beats since their last one, and as expected, it's rather ridiculous. Residing in the space between death metal, dubstep, tear-out opera and grunge, it's a mercurial, angry, uplifting ode to demon worship and the dangers therein.

The exceptional quality of these two pieces of music, combined with obvious dance floor appeal and a coincidentally similar theme made this pairing a logical choice. One side is a hybrid Hip Hop-Dubstep monster put together by Los Angeles based producer BARE. The flip is a Drum & Bass stomper created by accomplished British producer and long time BassHead family member DJ SILVER. These tracks have been causing quite a stir...So tantalisingly disgusting that the likes of Rusko, Sukh Knight, NType, Doctor P, Flux Pavillion, Jakes and Trolley Snatcha can't leave it alone! Eddie K is no newcomer to the dance music scene. Starting out as a drum and bass producer, his debut releases made an impact amongst the scene with tracks such as Planet Terror and My Sound remaining in DJs bags to date. More recently, Ed's been making a significant entry into the dubstep world. His first dubstep release on H.E.N.C.H (Who's the Hardest / The Shivers) had big reactions from all of the top names in the scene, which led up to his next release; his dubstep remix of DJ Prime Cuts ft. MC Dynamite - Warning, released on DSR at the end of 2009. This reached #2 in the Beatport dubstep download chart and recently featured in the latest instalment of Xbox's 'Crackdown' franchise. His latest release sees him collaborate with Hench youngster, Minus, along with emphatic appearances by London-based vocalist, Beezy, and Bristol's Shadz. If this release doesn't serve as a tribute to the different directions dubstep has taken within recent years, then it certainly acts as proof that Eddie K's sound and production skills have matured quicker than we could have anticipated.
A: SERIAL KILLA (FT. BEEZY & MINUS) - You might well have heard about Serial Killa before hearing the track itself. Arriving just in time to establish itself as a summer dancefloor destroyer, many a raver will soon be witnessing the floor shake when this one gets dropped. Beezy's twisted hook line cuts short the euphoric intro and lets loose to a siren-like bassline. This is the kind of track that will have the neighbours pulling the curtains shut and calling the Police.
AA: STARLIGHT - A favourite of the D Style camp, Eddie K takes us on his maiden voyage into this aspect of dubstep production. Touching on the techno-tinged, atmospheric vibes similar to Komonamuk's 'You Fo' release early in 2010, 'Starlight' is a track that would sit as comfortably in Laurent Garnier's bag as any dubstep DJ's. Forward thinking and high-paced the echoey background and sub bass contribute to creating one of the Hench imprint's deepest tracks to date.

Hotflush presents the debut of production duo Sepalcure based in Brooklyn, New York City. Travis Stewart (Machinedrum) and Praveen Sharma (Praveen & Benoît) show their love for bass and 90s house acapellas, resulting in a unique blend of tribal dub, two-step and soulful rhythms. Detroit techno chords slice through wooden beats and neon synths drenched in spacious atmospherics, proving equally fitting for late nights in the club and rainy evenings at home.
