Following the digital premiere of the track 'Nobody knows' at the beginning of September, myr. is an artist who remains shrouded in mystery. His debut EP 'Nobody knows Avalon' is set to be released through recognised Cologne label PNN on January the 19st, yet as the title suggests, still very little is known about the man behind the music.
myr.'s wish to withhold information is made obvious through the choice of track names on the EP: 'Nobody Knows', 'Avalon' and 'Homii' are all titles clearly designed to provoke the listener's curiosity, whilst upholding a sense of the enigmatic.
Although some might argue that such conscious obscurity is little more than a publicity stunt, surely at a time when the cult of DJ and celebrity are often intertwined there is something refreshing about myr.s decision to step-back. You only have to look at the homemade, monochrome videoclip that accompanies 'Nobody knows' to realise that myr. is about as removed from the glitz of DJ culture as it is possible to be.
It is this determined distancing from the norm that comes through is his music. The minimal sound is carried through by an underlying warmth, a grittiness that sets it apart from the often near-perfect production of popular techno. The first two tracks 'Nobody knows' and 'Avalon' create a sense of anticipation, with minimal, ambient beats that build, the listener is left with itchy-feet and a hankering for more. In the final track on the EP 'Homii' there is a change in tempo, the monotone beats make way for some slowed-down, trippy vocals that open the listener up to myr.'s versatility as an artist.
'Nobody knows Avalon' is an EP that represents a return to something raw and removed from popular music. As for the mystery surrounding myr. Well if you can't put a face to a sound then the only option is to listen.

Anders als seine Vorgänger ist ZERO GRAVITY ein rein instrumentales Album. Ambient Klangwelten und experimentelle Sounds unterstützt von elektronischen Beats laden zum Träumen ein. Schwerelos fühlt es sich an, wenn man es hört, aber magisch anziehend wirkt der Raum und die Musik, in die man eintaucht. "Bei ZERO GRAVITY war mir wichtig, dass man schon beim Hören diese endlose Weite, die die Schwerelosigkeit mit sich bringt, hört. Man schweift beim Hören wirklich in die Ferne und so ging es mir auch beim Produzieren. Wenn sich dieses Gefühl bei mir eingestellt hat, wusste ich, ich bin auf dem richtigen Weg.", beschreibt Lemmer den Entstehungsprozess. ZERO GRAVITY sollte anders werden und so habe ich auch meine komplette Produktionsumgebung dafür umgestellt. Ich habe viel mehr mit externem Equipment gearbeitet und sehr viele analoge Synthesizer aufgenommen, um diese Klänge zu erzeugen." Die Fotos zum Album Booklet und Cover hat Lemmer selbst in Kanada in den Whistler Mountains aufgenommen. Es sollte ein Gesamtkunstwerk werden. Hailing from North Somerset, UK post/prog-rock veterans BLUENECK have been at forefront of the European underground experimental scene since forming in 2000. They've released four critically-acclaimed albums, toured extensively across Europe with acts such as Cult of Luna and Mono, have soundtracked a number of independent films and had their work featured on NBC, HBO and SyFy channels, and are now mainstays of the European festival circuit (including a triumphant midnight set at Glastonbury 2014). However their most ambitious achievement - 3 years in the making - is new album KING NINE. Singer-songwriter Duncan Attwood's astonishingly affecting melancholy vocals have always been the chilly heart of Blueneck's music (2006's SCARS OF THE MIDWEST, 2009's THE FALLEN HOST, 2011's REPETITIONS), so fans were surprised when the band released the hushed, vocal-free soundtrack album EPILOGUE in 2012. However, work had begun by Attwood and fellow bandmembers Richard Sadler and Ben Paget on KING NINE in early 2011, in advance of the writing and recording of EPILOGUE. Continuing their ongoing relationship with Bristol UK producer/collaborator Mat Sampson, KING NINE has been a quiet labour of love - a deliberate, determined commitment to push Attwood's songcraft and singing to the fore. To make the most vibrant, accessible and exciting Blueneck record possible. The band's three key musical influences go some way to explaining KING NINE's ambitious, expansive (but always accessible) scope: the electronica of Boards of Canada, the movie soundtracks of Ennio Morricone and John Carpenter, the melodicism and melancholia of Kid-A era Radiohead and Arcade Fire. Pulshar return to Desolat with another stunning long player filled with a selection of sumptuous productions that further demonstrate their grasp over intimate and deeply ethereal electronic music. Vinyl version of 'Blood and Mathematics' features the originals and instrumentals via download code, and is perfectly timed for when the days begin to draw to a close. Barcelona based duo Sergio S. Vidal and Pablo Bolivar have cemented the Pulshar name and reputation as proponents of dub-heavy, soulful and at times psychedelic electronic music. Their first Desolat long player 'Inside' received critical acclaim and effortlessly bridged the gap between the dance-floor and the home listening environment. They returned to Desolat in 2013 with a deliciously deep and trippy EP in 'Different Drum', and now continue their relationship with the label with 'Blood and Mathematics'. Pulshar continue their affair with Electro, Instrumental Hip-Hop, Dub and Psychedelia. They have distilled this to create a distinctive and soulful brand of electronic music and the new Long Player represents where the artists are in 2014. All the tracks are written and produced by them, with only Guti as a featuring artist on 'Running Away'. This has resulted in them cultivating a traditional 'album' experience where one track effortlessly segues into the next and takes the listener through a range of emotions across the record. Blood and Mathematics is a contemporary electronic music listening experience that will be revisited again and again.

ORKA is a Faroese act based in London. When ORKA started they began with building their own instruments out of agricultural tools on a small farm on the Faroe Islands. ORKA has since then played venues and festivals all over the world and done collaborations with a number of prominent acts including LV (Hyperdub, Keysound), Yann Tiersen, and Ólafur Björn Ólafsson (Sigur Rós). Now ORKA is ready with their 4th full-length album LEIPZIG. The bulk of the album was recorded at UT Connewitz, a spectacular and worn down pre-war cinema in the heart of Leipzig, Germany, together with Oktopus (Dälek), Ólavur Jákupsson, and HOGNI. Other recordings were done on tour in Paris, New York, a small church in Sibrandahûs, Netherlands, a boat in Hong Kong and a train terminal in Bombay. The album was then finalised and patched together in ORKA's and co-producers LV's London studios, and it features vocals by Greta Svabo Bech (Deadmau5) and Teitur among others. On LEIPZIG ORKA's trademark custom instruments and dark sound are fused with sedated resounds from UK Bass and LA Beat topped with icy North Atlantic vocals. ORKA call it Club Gaze. If compared to other artists, you could say that the album sounds like J Dilla's Donuts if it was produced by Burial, with the Nordic melodic sensibility of Sigur Rós, and performed by Faust."

Celebrated ambient artist John Beltran jointly release not one but two vinyl compilations on Delsin Records in association with his own Dado label. The compilations, named Music For Machines Part 1 and Part 2, will take the form of two vinyl LPs released apart, with both releases complied together onto one CD available at a later date. Michigan born producer Beltran, of course, has released countless legendary EPs and LPs on labels like Peacefrog, Carl Craig's Retroactive and Belgium's R&S. His music has been licensed to high profile HBO TV series and a number of films, and pulls together elements of jazz, world music, organic soundscapes and electronic textures into compelling listening experiences. Most recently this came in the form of his Amazing Things album in 2013, whilst his career spanning Ambient Selections from 2011 is still a vital listen. Part 1 of the compilation pulls together new and exclusive tracks from the likes of Winter Flags, Blair French, David Elpezs and John himself, whilst part two focuses on the likes of Natalie Beridze, Kirk Degiorgio and Vincent Volt. Part 1 opens up with the found sound lushness of 'Winterfall Winds' before naturally unfolding through Reinehr's wintry harmonics and the crowning glory of Beltran's own titular track, which is a moving bit of textured modern classical music that sooths your mind, body and soul. As for Part 2, it is riddled with sumptuous sonic delights like Greg Chin's icy and alpine 'Dashboard Angels' and Mick Chillage's beautifully suspended 'Only In My Dreams'. Vincent Volt keeps things beautifully beachy with his 'Subway Arp' and A2B2C2's 'Stereometry' is a suitably sombre affair that closes the compilation down in style.

It's a spellbinding, enchanted journey that begins in a rift that opened in Turkey shortly before the Gezi protests evolved, and travels deep to sift the edges of human unrest and personal unfastening.
Recorded amidst the political and social turmoil, 'Absence' is, to say it with Biblo's own words, 'about the absence of desire, absence of roots, absence of meaning, absence of justice.'
But even with substantial context aside, 'Absence' is an emotional and deeply intimate work that offers an unsettling musical experience for the listener.
'Absence' is filled with haunting sound and abyssal beauty, marked with profound sensitivity and hair-raising despair. The album expresses a deeply troubled and hurt relationship with humanity through the artist's unique musical language, utilizing her own voice, sampling, and electronic means with incredible skill.
'Absence' embodies roughly one year starting early 2013 till early 2014. During this time, Biblo decided to try and live outside of Istanbul and Turkey (and moved to Berlin, Germany), then came back to Istanbul witnessing the protests evolve, and decided to stay.
The album is a personal testimony of being in this non-place, being torn between places that stand for different concepts to lead your life. "I eventually came to grips with the understanding that life is often about tolerating where you are,' Biblo summons, 'and that we can be meaningful wherever our place is.'

If you ask the Canadian producer and DJ Edward Currelly aka Eddie C to name you some things he have'nt
done yet but always wanted he answers: - Visit Greenland. Sell 45s off the back of my motorcycle in Jamaica.'
Those who know the music of the former countryman that left the Canadian nature to get inspired by the lively
culture jungle of Berlin get a winking smile on their lips.
Because those who know his music know that the answer is not only a dream - it is also a dreamy picture of
the essence of his music: laid-back, deep, and heartfelt dedication - thats what his sound is about - like chilling
out on the seat of your Yamaha CB 200 while selling stress-free vinyls of old reggae anthems under the clear
blue Caribbean sky.
His second album - Country City Country' is full of such a vibes. But not obvious and this at least because there
is not much reggae to be found. Only in his dubbed out album opener - To Each Their Own' you can hear the
echoes of Jamaica cleary. Then his record passes away into some cool hiphop instrumentals full of haunting
samples that easily loop in your head.
Already here you are bewitched by Eddie C's gifted hand for playful musicality that goes far beyond the average
concept of a track. His hiphop leaves the usual soul loop map behind while diving into some cosmic zones full of
melting melodies.
With the fifth track - Drinkin and Thinkin' the man that releases his delicate crafted music since 2009 on labels
such as 7 Inches Of Love, Endless Flight, Karat Records, or his own imprint Red Motorbike starts to drop a more
demanding danceable funk. From then on style does'nt matter and Eddie C let his musical love affairs free
wheeling: West-Coast-Rock, Balearic, Funk, Cosmic, Boogie, House, string-laden Disco deepness - you name it.
'I hope a small bit of my musical interests come across.' he explains about the diversity of styles which are
hold together by a unique funkyness that is hard to resist. When Eddie C was a child he played piano, violin and
guitar. At highschool he played in multiple bands of many different styles.
In the early 90s he went to the great Techno parties in Toronto and Detroit and danced the night away. Later in
the decade he had his own radio show for 4 years. In all that time he been a passionate record collector and he
always wrote music that is filled with his knowledge about it.
That is why - Country City Country' jumps airy and laid-back from jazz to house, from dry jacking rhythms to
cool rolling bass grooves, from wild clapping drum beats to playful uplifting brasil piano house madness. Always
with melodies above and in the bassline. The inspiration behind his new album is to share more music Eddie C
reveals. And this not with a look on the dancefloor in the first place.
'I don't really write music with the thought of using it in a DJ set later' he says. Instead he writes music that
listens to his heart in order to reach the heart of the listener. It is all produced on really cheap and affordable
stuff with reaching the maximum out of it. What Eddie C found in all of his machines is a funk that hits the fan
wherever he is: in the deserted Canadian mountains, the green Jamaican hills, or in the moving sunday
afternoon Berghain wilderness.

They returned to Desolat in 2013 with a deliciously deep and trippy EP in 'Different Drum', and now continue their relationship with the label with 'Blood and Mathematics'. They have distilled this to create a distinctive and soulful brand of electronic music and the new Long Player represents where the artists are in 2014. Sunday Music goes deeper and depper with this fantastic album release. It reflects the love of label owner Henrik Schwarz for jazz, contemporary and chamber music. When norwegians electro-jazz pioneer Bugge Wesseltoft and Henrik Schwarz (!K7/ Innervisions) produced their collaboration 'Duo", it was clear that their synergy was both unique within, and revitalizing to, the whole genre of electro-acoustic beat-based improvisation. Now the duo becomes a trio, and the dialogue becomes a Trialogue. Indie/ Jazz Bassist Dan Berglund (e.s.t., Ane Brun) brings additional dimensions and a whole new range of songwriter possibilities, a completely new layer of sound, Tastefully chosen electronic rhythmic patterns and drums, virtuosic piano playing, analog synthesiers, thumping double bass lines. Subtle but high energy walks through your speakers. Moments of quasi-ambient atmosphere sit alongside driving energetic swathes of blues-inflected jamming from the future, near-metallic semi-sinister meteor storms of sound rest easily beside moments of classic jazz noire, and there is a marked assimilation of classical chamber sensibilities. This is a thoroughgoing post-postmodernist soundworld. What the listener will recognise instantly is, simply put, great music. Since the end of the 90s Laurent Jeanneau aka Kink Gong has been recording the music of mostly endangered minorities of South East Asia. Alongside his relentless pursue of remote exotic and unpublished musical traditions, he also creates electronic versions by combining raw recordings with natural sounds, archive material and electronically treated sounds. For Gongs, Laurent returns to his soundscape approach not heard since the Xinjiang LP (2011) and further develops his unique re-versions around the extensive Gong orchestra recordings he made on location in the remote regions of Cambodia & Laos. Over the years Jeanneau has become an expert of Gong orchestras of South East Asia, releasing in 2014 a double LP highlighting the different tonalities and resonances inherent to this kind of animistic ceremonies of the Asian Sub Continent (Gongs of Cambodia, Kink Gong recs, 2014). The compositions on this LP deform, re-assemble and distort said recordings. They contain unedited acoustic recordings, computer modified parts, sound collages and acoustic recordings of people and instruments. Somewhere in between the electronics of Keith Fullerton Whitman, the percussive repetitions of Jon Mueller, and the atmospheric sensibility of Pan-American, these tracks are to be listened to as two long explorations in the art of variation and repetition. Layers of drums and percussions intertwine with synth waves making the portrait come to life, detail after detail, until a complex figure emerges from the white canvas. The constant, unsteady sounds, wavering noise, swirling cymbals, and distant feedback gently pull the listener into the picture, letting them enjoy every detail of this beautifully staged compositions.

Extended edition of Ian William Craig's landmark debut album A Turn of Breath. Here it is in it's final form, with an additional LP of unpublished material: Short of Breath EP (originally a CDr included with the first 125 orders from Recital in 2014), and all unreleased material to fill the final Fresh Breath side of the collection - culled from the same recording period as A Turn of Breath.

Recital here presents the premiere LP by vocalist Ian William Craig (b. 1980, Edmonton). Ian, a trained opera singer, delivers an elegant balance between theatrical and ambient sentiments. A Turn of Breath combines the essence of a choral LP from Angel Records or Deutsche Grammophon with the spontaneity of experimental home-recording.
This collection holds twelve works for voice and 1/4 tape, recorded from 2011-2013. Voice appears as the Sun's light through a vast storm, still obscured by tape malfunctions and manipulations. A system of reel to reels is employed, which yields a lovely sort of morphing repetition. Each iteration crumbles as more harmony is placed on top, residual tones spilling off the sides into nothingness.
Craig's innate ability to sing beautiful, sorrowful melodies carries each track. The pieces on A Turn of Breath vary from grand choral meditations to quiet interludes, and even a few impressionistic 'songs' accompanied by faint acoustic guitar. An overarching warmth resonates through each side, making this a very pleasant listen. Pan & Me is the solo project of musician and curator Christophe Mevel, known as one of the founding members of dark-jazz collective The Dale Cooper Quartet & The Dictaphones. His debut 'Paal' was recorded back in 2010 while being on a boat trip along Unalaska island and has been released worldwide via Denovali Records in 2012. With Pan & Me Christophe Mevel continues the intelligent song writing of the Dale Cooper Quartet with a different approach - the arrangements are not jazz-orientated like those he creates with the other Dale musicians on their three classics 'Parole de Navarre', 'Metamanoir' and 'Quatorze Pièces de Menace'. His influences are coming from all over the map. The debut 'Paal' was rather piano- and electronic-driven referring to artists in the likes of Oval, Wim Mertens or Angelo Badalamenti. His forthcoming second full length called ""Ocean noise"" is an intense and highly diverse collection of material ranging from ambient, guitar drones, vocals, field recordings and synth sounds in a much wider orchestration including piano, strings and percussion, forming a Vinyl double album set to be released in September 2014. For ""Ocean noise"" Christophe Mevel created a musical journey with the attempt of being listened as one extensive piece. This experience should only be interrupted by flipping the record in order to continue following the route of this single man leading us in a vast landscape, where repetitive melodies of an organic sound are established drawing our attention away from hectic routines. Tidal waves of long synth tunes are rising up in choirs and ebb away exposing a lonely setting on the edge of nature, where observations of all kinds of narratives seem to start. Quickly fading into pulsing guitar drones taking over the second half of the record, ""Ocean noise"" ends with mysterious vocals and footsteps to rewind of what has been left behind. CD: digipak. Sie wollten eigentlich nur einen Track zusammen aufnehmen, für die gemeinsame Japan Tournee im letzten Frühling. Auf der Tour sollten Springintgut und F.S.
