* Up next on newly reinvigorated Emotif Recordings comes a storming 12" from production team D-Region & Code. Known for their breathtaking remixes and heavy-hitting solo work, these skilled producers are a welcome addition to Emotif's future heritage.
* D-Region is the founder of the Canadian independent label Furious Records and has worked with respected music groups like Universal/EMI, Moonshine, ZYX, Moist and Toronto's Nice and Smooth in his 12 years in the DnB scene. In his career, D-Region has landed four singles on Beatport's coveted Top 10 sales chart (drum n bass) and dozens of tracks on the Beatport Top 100. His single 'The Terminator's Theme' debuted at number 1 on Beatport when it was released in 2005. DJ Code hails from London and has been on a steady accent through the ranks as the latest addition to the Kool FM roster. His past releases on Emotif including 'Brainstorm' & 'Rudeboy Rebellion' with fellow producer Sketch were absolutely massive. It's good to see him back!
* Hustle From Born feat. Shutdown and Trinity Chris' is a synth-led powerhouse. It kicks off with a modulated lead line and dub skanks before a huge saw-wave bass heaves into motion over the pounding beats. Shutdown provides additional beef in the production whilst Trinity Chris delivers the hype with his dancefloor-riling vocal. This is hi-energy peak time material. Trinity Chris is a JUNO nominated (Grammy Awards of Canada) artist who has toured across North America sharing the stage with the likes of Mavado, Buju Banton, Beenie Man, Ghostface Killah, French Montana, D-Block, Shabba Ranks, Sizzla & dozens more.
* Live Your Life feat. Shadow Bloc, Lady MC and Klair Quest' is a colourful roller that follows it's precursors sensibilities with detailed synth work and layered harmonies. Frost has had "LYL" on a exclusive dubplate for last couple of months so no doubt you would have heard it in his recent sets!
* The beats take the mid-ground with Lady MC and Klair Quest giving that feminine flair that keeps the pace pumping. Futurestep DnBduo Shadow Bloc, hailing from Toronto, step-up for additional production duties. Between them they have classical training and Juno-nominated songwriting skills, which is apparent in their multi-faceted energy. Best Female MC at the 2012 National Drum & Bass Awards, Lady MC has been an integral part of the jungle and drum & bass scene since as far back as 1995. She has built a reputation for herself as one of the hardest working women in the game. Expect big things from her this year!

Following a year-long break, LionDub International is proud to announce our return to wax with the rekindling of our long-standing
alliance with storied junglist Marcus Visionary, featuring vocals by reggae legend Johnny Osbourne. The first single from an
albumlong project, Rock it Tonight revisits Osbourne's 1986 smash We Gonna Rock it Tonight for the equally storied Jammy's
Records, but with an entirely new voicing and new lyrics. Marcus Visionary himself has had a long and storied career, starting on L
Double's old school Flex Records and moving forwards with other essential imprints like Revolve:r and his own Dance Rock Records
before making a solid connection with LionDub in 2009. Our strong support goes hand in hand with his inimitable style, and time and
again he's delivered massive releases that keep fans coming back for more. For this teaser to the album, Marcus steps up with two
contrasting versions of Rock it Tonight sure to cause ruckus on dancefloors. With digihorns, police sirens, and a skank sourced from
the song's original incarnation, for the original version the drums follow a bouncy reggae groove that keeps up the tempo but also
keeps a lighter mood. Tougher is his 'Jungle Remix', where busier breakage brings a rollicking classic jungle feeling. Together these
two mixes raise the bar high for the full-length, but given Marcus' track record here on LionDub, we have no doubt it will live up to the
highest of these expectations.

Following a two year-long break, the mysterious Black Pearl imprint returns to wax with two dark and dirty Jungle DnB tracks that are
sure to light dancefloors on fire worldwide. Both mixes feature interpretations of chart topping tracks with tremendous builds and
then drops, monstrous vocal clips, heavy bashment influenced drums. and deep, dirty b-lines that will surely peak the interest of any
Dancehall or Jungle aficionado. Bristol based X Amount, drops "Don Dada," a wicked Bashment/DnB hybrid that will have ravers and
dancers bawling forward time and again. After a Ragga flavored intro segment, Choppy DnB drums brings you into the unique and
heartily detailed Bass drop. Well crafted vocal sample patterns permeate the track and classic 90's era dancehall hits stitch it all
together. On the flip, Channel Two brings in heady sirens on "Mad Over We," accompanied by monstrous sub lines, classic dread
and reece hits, a seriously catchy vocal aimed especially at the ladies, and an impeccable mixdown that rivals any top producer's
quality with ease. This 'Jungle Remix' boasts busier breakage and a much more classic jungle roll out. Don't sleep on these two
bangers.

Decorated vocal artist, and long-standing face at
Run Tingz, YT has selected highlights from his
ground breaking third album 'Revolution Time' with
full blessing to 'go to town and Junglize' them.

their situation and hooked up with their illustrious
companions the Serial Killaz to produce a project
that will wake waves the world over. A co-lab of
killer proportions, make way for Killa Tingz...

and oozing subs. As YT's sing-song chatter re-
emerges, it's a total revolution of the mind and
senses.

*Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the dance, two of electronic music's finest step forward; leading lights in their respective fields, Friction & Skream have combined as one to create the ruffest of game changers to kick off the year. Featuring three of the leading MC's in the UK right now, Scrufizzer, P Money and Riko Dan, 'Kingpin' ain't messin' about...time to get grimey!
*Get ready to double-take as 'Kingpin' steps up to kick in any dance floor that dares test it. Hard as you like, an almighty piece of half-stepping production that's fresh off the hard drive ready for the vocal flows of three of the sickest MC's known to man right now! As you'd expect as the worlds of drum & bass, dubstep and grime all combine, the results are astounding and show another side to Friction & Skream altogether. Essential!
*It's then over to Calyx & Teebee to supply the dose of drum & bass as they turn in a downright disgusting remix that'll keep all the 174 heads happy as ever; brash and in your face, exactly what we like from these two veterans of the genre, never shy of slaying a dance floor or three.
*Shogun's very own man of every moment Rockwell then finishes things up as he spreads his production wings once more, showing off his trap tendencies with a messed up, stepping re-fix full of bad attitude and badboy bass with the cut up barks of Fizzer, P and Riko all keeping things in check. Ain't no denying it, Shogun Audio have done it again.

Rinse FM started life in 1994 as a jungle station, and jungle lies at the roots of each new music Rinse has championed since. With Rinse:20, Uncle Dugs, the station's only dedicated old- skool DJ, offers a potent reminder of the genre's power.
"It's my 'Story of Jungle mix'," says Dugs. "A story of jungle music until it changed to drum & bass." Opening with Lennie De Ice's 'We Are I.E' - widely accepted to be one of the first jungle tracks - the album travels through an exhilarating chronology of the genre's evolution through the 90s. "To do that in 21 tracks was challenging," he laughs. "I could have done with 121. But it's a history of the music, mixed all on vinyl, live, and I challenge anyone to go into the studio and do a better job!"
Dugs is perfectly placed to take listeners through that history. He's been involved in pirate radio for 20 years, having caught the rave bug as a teenager. "I've never found music that's buzzed me like that," he grins. "There's nothing that's ever done that to me again. The minute I found it, that was me, forever."
Listening to the mix, you can hear that passion bubbling to the surface. Across its hour length, Dugs weaves from instantly recognisable tracks - the ragga bounce of Conquering Lion's 'Dub Plate Special (Ruff Cut)'; Andy Reece's 'Pulp Fiction' - through a mesh of tunes that represent important steps in the sound, from the headrushy bliss of Nookie's 'Gonna Be Alright (Cloud 9 Mix)' to the rolling momentum of Shy FX's seminal 'Bambaataa'.
Dugs returned to Rinse in 2011 to start a new weekly show of old skool jungle and hardcore on the station, as well as regularly inviting in legends of the scene to be interviewed on air. The response has been astonishing, which is one of the main reasons why a mix like this - which recaptures the energy and innovation of a scene at the height of its creative power - feels like an important statement. With so much of the new music that Rinse champions so strongly connected to jungle, there's no better time to remind people of those roots, and how deep they truly run.
