Along the west coast of Co Kerry in Ireland you will
find the amazing Valentia Island.
Attached by a bridge to the mainland, it is a place of
beauty touched by years of history and the songs of
the sea.
I managed to obtain a house there for a few weeks,
I took my computer and mic with me not knowing
what to expect when I got there.
In one of the rooms sat a piano, and as my fingers
touched the keys I knew there was a story there
waiting to be told.
The sound of the piano in that place was something
very magical as 100mph winds battered the house
and interrupted my recordings.
Other material has since emerged from those days
spent on the island, but the main body of work that I
recorded there makes up this album that I now
present to you.

label boss dBridge's mission statement to marry
disparate sounds on a mixed-artist album whilst
triumphantly steering clear of convolution.
The albums' roll call lists luminaries emanating from
all spheres of electronic music - ranging from US
footwork impresario and frequent Jimmy Edgar
collaborator Machinedrum, who chimes in with a
soulful synth-heavy jam on 'The Palace' to the
increasingly potent combination of Om Unit & Sam
Binga with the pair continuing in their rich vein of

After continuing to DJ, listen to, and love the sound of the genre, it was only a matter of time before Pennygiles - real name Stuart
Maccallum - tried his hand at production, and having no musical background or any real knowledge of musical theory wasn't going to
get in his way. Picking up his first DAW in 2010, he began working on his first tunes, paving the way for what has been a hugely
successful couple of years for him.
Pennygiles delivers 2 slices of superbly executed soulful drum and bass for Alignments 'Downtime' sub project.

Alignment is back with its fist vinyl outing of the year for the main label. This time introducing 'Quartz' a production due hailing from
Cardiff. The pair have been making some heavy waves in the scene of late with their heavy gritty productions. A release lately on IM:
LTD has made the scene take note of what their about, now they present the 3 track EP on Alignment. Bone Marrow, Cut Deep and
the digital exclusive 'If Ever' will be available in early June 2013.

Following on from his well received 'Reaction' release alongside Borderline on our 'Code Of Honour' Compilation, 20 year old
Slovakian Mário Docekal aka Subtension was set the task of completing his debut 12" single for Samurai Music. One of the most
original sounding producers Samurai had heard for some time, it was not long before 'Black Haze' and 'Changes' appeared and were
signed for the single. Haunting ambience and potent carving riffs set on top of crunching, powerful drums and chest shaking bass
have become his trademark, and these 2 tunes serve as a perfect CV for the Subtension style. 'Inner Man' came later, and after
dominating dancefloors with it's gyrating rhythm was added as a digital exclusive to complete the package. DJ support from Klute,

Double O formally 007 had early releases on Formation and now runs 'Rupture'at Corsica studios with his partner Mantra. Together
they have raised the bar for what is now considered one of the best DNB nights in the UK and continues to sell out each event getting
stronger each time. On this
release Double shows his true finesse as a producer with these soulful let rugged cuts aimed at taking you on a journey into the future
while strongly keeping you reminded of a vibe from the past. This counterforce of two styles is exactly what 117 is about and we
