Part 2 of the Fourfit EP series and following on from Skeptical's recent solo offering on Part 1 we have a mixed artist EP with debuts on Soul:r from LSB, Anile, FD and Kid Drama.

The Dip Switches E.P delivers a 23 minute serving carved directly from the freshly constructed 'Yellow Machines' series; 'Modified Magic'.

The Jazzassins, 4 producers out of 3 european countries, making the most organic sound in Drum n Bass of 2015. Viennas Paul SG came up with the idea in 2012 after collaborating with his closest musical minds over and over again and quickly formed The Jazzassins consisting of Flowrian, Pulsaar, Decon and Paul SG himself.

They went to the swiss alps for a week, booked themselves a lovely wooden chalet and made the plan happen to produce an entire album in only 7 days.

It's been a big year for Eatbrain - the Budapest-based drum & bass label headed up by Jade. Between a highly successful full-length outing with Tales of the Undead LP and solo EPs from an ever growing roster of quality producers, Eatbrain has continued to establish itself as a reliable source for premier neurofunk drum & bass. The beginning of 2015 sees Czech producer Qo deliver his debut solo EP for Eatbrain. Over the last few years, he's become one of the strongest voices in hard drum & bass, owing to his expert skills in the studio - where he's carved out a distinct, aggressive brand of neurofunk - as well as the DJ booth. After absolutely smashing his debut Eatbrain track earlier this year ('Killcode') it seemed only fitting that he deliver several more.

Qo kicks off with his highly anticipated collaboration with MC Rymetyme 'The Fuse'. Setting the stage with foreboding atmosphere and pattering percussion, Qo wastes no time before letting Rymetyme take control with dark lyricism of anthemic proportions. 'The Fuse' warms up to critical levels before making full impact; a storming combination of absolutely lethal bassline and drums which only grow in intensity. It's no The eponymous 'Atari X' is a far more disjointed affair . After warming up with a spooky synthetic melody during the onset, Qo takes us into steppy territory with punchy, jagged drums punctuated by an aching reece. 'Cyber Ninja' sees Qo joined by fellow Czech bassline technician Computerartist. Both producers' talent for sound design is immediately apparent, from the futuristic intro to the dynamic, pumping sub-bass throughout. 'Evil Dead' maintains the anxiety which permeates Atari X EP with eerie atmospherics and a relentless combo of tearing bass and percussion. As if the original wasn't enough of a killer, Mindscape rounds out the release with a remix of Qo and Nuklear MC's 'Killcode' - a gem from Tales of the Undead LP. Fast, pounding low-end and aggressive, hypnotic vocals from Nuklear make Mindscape's take on 'Killcode' a visceral experience...to say the least. Eatbrain opens 2015 in style.

Following the release of virtuoso new singles Mr. Cover Up and No-Operative across January and February, seminal DnB duo State Of Mind are to present their fourth album, Eat The Rich, on March 31st. To be released by Black Sun Empire s Blackout imprint, the album celebrates some of the best work of their career to date, underlining their remarkable pedigree and with it, their ability to fuse darker, hard-edged sounds with genuine dance floor mcredibility. Famed for their rugged basslines, steely percussion and huge, driving synth lines, State Of Mind also showcase different sides to their craftsmanship on Eat The Rich, with a number of vocal features taking centre stage. After 14 years working with a huge spectrum of D&B greats, London based Irishman Cian McCann has long since established his place in the scene. From his early days in Dublin with the Bassbin label to working with the likes of Calibre, 4 Hero, Klute, Alix Perez, Rockwell and Noisia, he has never stood still. 2008's Cheap Shots LP for Total Science's CIA Records was a high point, with lead track Walk Away bringing vocalist Steo to the worlds attention. Also a noted remixer, he has retouched artists as diverse as Dillinja, Slam, Rolo from Faithless, Sabre, Lemon D and Lenny Fontana. Zero T's discography shows the diversity that his DJ sets have always shown, ranging from full vocal smoothness to darker, more technical styles. You are as likely to find his music on labels like Subtitles and Shogun as on Soul:r or Signature. 2010 saw two milestones reached; the Launch of Footprints, Zero T's own label, and compiling and mixing FabricLive052 for the esteemed London venue. After a short period away from the scene, 2014 sees the return of Zero T as a producer and DJ. Watch out for his collaboration with long-time cohort Beta 2 coming on Metalheadz Platinum soon and a follow up EP to the Roxy Music EP on Dispatch Recordings. Hailing down from Freiburg (Black Forest) the Italian Bass-Player Alessandro Greco aka ENEA has been working on his beats and basslines for quite a few years. Today he can look back on various releases on top-class labels like Fokuz, Have a Break Recordings and Basswerk Records amongst others. Now he's gearing up for his first full length LP on Celsius Recordings, Nightwalk combines sultry sweet lo-fi sounds with sharp production. A variety of styles and tempo's can be found showcasing his versatility and views as a producer. Pure and beautiful.

After a hiatus which has left many fans sitting on the edge of their subs, Calyx & Teebee are making a dramatic return. And with this record in tow, the scene is about to bow down yet again to two of their most skilled sonic crafters.

With the huge success of their All or Nothing LP laying just over the horizon, Calyx & Teebee are about to take the title place yet again and with the full throttle forces of pounding basslines and meticulously constructed mechanics. But what else could you expect from two revered veterans of the genre, whose joint muscle has telescoped the competition in comparison.

However, it's not just their duteous workmanship and full-throttle drive that makes their music so undeniably huge. In tracks like 'A Day That Never Comes' Larry Con's vocals lead you by the hand into all-out anarchy. Revving between each break, your picked up and dropped by verbal crescendos. Angry, yet innovative and impressively intricate, Calyx & Teebee have raised expectations even higher.

And then comes 'Snakes & Ladders', a minefield of drum patterns and wavering note arpeggios. A steppy riddim which completely envelops the sense, each segment explodes on impact. Sliced and diced by invasive samples, you're unable to resist; plunging you deep into the mix, the slowly building drop pushes you into a freefall of plucky subs and jittering percussion. With such an equally impactful flipside, this sets another precedent and one which the producers exceed with every release.

Over twelve tracks, 'Red Planet' gives The Others
the canvas to showcase the full breadth of his
talents like never before. Amalgamating the many
influences that inform his productions, the album's
dubstep backbone is bolstered by glimpses of
breakbeat, jungle, techno and progressive house,
resulting in a brilliantly crafted and coherent artistic
statement. Filled with light and shade, impact and
intricacy, 'Red Planet' is much more than a
collection of club tracks; this is an album in the
truest sense of....

Locked away in sonic solitude, Mind Vortex have been building these next four cuts with absolute precision. And being such a pivotal signing for the RAM imprint, it's no surprise that this EP has been met with almost unbearable anticipation.

Few acts capture the vibrancy and pent-up energy that Mind Vortex commands. Another charged assault on the ears, the 'Colours EP' is definitely a return to form. An impressive feat, having already set the bar high with tracks like 'Hotbox' being showcased on label head Andy C's revered Nightlife series.

Setting the precedent for another round is 'Overture', used frequently as a set opener by Andy C as well as other prominent djs across the globe... And it's easy to see why. Building to a point that leaves you dangling over the edge of a sky-scraper tall break, you're dropped aboard a metallic riff. Driven by tightly snapping kicks, and being hit repeatedly by pounding subs, the composition reverberates across your synapses. Aggressive yet epic, and with a bite that epitomises their production flare, 'Overture' proves that Mind Vortex only have more to give.

Next up is 'Colours', alluding to Mind Vortex's different stylistic dimensions. With a cinematic soundscape and emotionally lead vocals, it's tenderly spoken but doesn't lack in impact. A muscular bassline sits beneath grinding percussion, which is softened by loops of beat arpeggios. Sure-fire club anthems are what Mind Vortex capture perfectly and 'Colours' pedestals this form of art at its finest.

With an authoritative vocal sample leading you ear-drums first into the mix, 'Underworld' is foreboding from its first bass riff. A jittering coaster ride, this is roller explodes on impact, taking you deep into its namesake. The artists manipulate synth in a way which often can't be matched, distorting sounds and smashing the prototype to pieces with carefully fashioned hits of drum.

And lastly, 'Till the Sun Comes' opens you up to the possibility of seeing the producer's full musicality. A funk infused texture which is hits your aural taste buds with every loop, you'll find it difficult not to be overcome by the track's turbo-powered hook. Yet again, the duo has conjured a hotbed of forward thinking drum and bass, threatening to create unparalleled dance floor chaos.

One of their biggest releases to date, expect this EP to resound in both underground dancehalls and the headphones of dnb-heads everywhere. These four blasting production behemoths will ensure that Mind Vortex stay on the agenda's forefront.

Second vinyl sampler of Occulti Music's latest album project. We kick off with Jumpets by long time drum & bass veteran Electrosoul System. It's an uplifting slice of drum & bass with infectious vocal cuts, smooth chords and perfect balanced lightweight drums. On the flip Agbo dives into the deepness with a minimal, hypnotic halfstepper. This is 100% soundsystem music with ethnic influences and plenty of bassweight for the get-down crew. Keep an eye out for this guy!

Fokuz Recordings presents 'Source of Life', a 2xCD set with 28 tracks featuring upcoming and established artists from all around the globe. Labelowner Dreazz always has a keen eye and broad taste when it comes to drum & bass, this collection of tunes is a perfect reflection of his and the labels' attitude.

Following the quality of the MINDTECH005, the innovative label is ready to release Allied's stunning Heliox / Universe. Already one of Mindtech's most celebrated producers, Allied returns to the frame, adding to a label discography that features the likes of Billain, Rregula, Optiv and Nickbee. Featuring three tracks of cutting edge Neurofunk, complete with a collaboration from Bad Taste Recordings and Teddy Killerz approved N-Phonix, Heliox / Universe sees Mindtech push the boundaries once again.

A collaboration with N-Phonix, Heliox begins with a desolate, dark introduction. Atmospheric pads and otherworldly sounds set the scene, while Allied racks up the tension with subtle, rumbling sub bass. Transforming into the definition of a tech roller, Heliox rattles along, with intricate, detailed percussion and a tribal yet futuristic bassline sure to get the dancefloor moving.

The second track, on the EP, Universe sees Allied journey further into the depths of Neurofunk. Exploring the underside of DnB with booming kick drums and vintage tinged synths as a guide, Universe charges up, before dropping into another hard edged roller. Dominated by a bold, buzzing bassline flanked by hard drum work and intricate atmospheric details, Universe is another banger from Allied.

Allied rounds off the release with Ataraxia, one of the most innovative tracks you'll hear in 2015. After yet another textured, cinematic intro, Ataraxia lurches into life. A hybrid of vintage synths and new age production, Ataraxia is a drumstep monster. Featuring an unstoppable synth bassline underpinned by a half time beat and relentless sub bass, Ataraxia is another example of the forward thinking music Mindtech is known for.

Physics returns to Influenza with a full length album for your dancing and listening pleasure.

Producer/DJ Glenn Grip, better known to headz as Physics doesn't need much of an introduction to those who follow drum & bass. He has released his trademark sound on labels like Metalheadz (Goldie) ,Secret Operations (Seba), Blindside, Fokuz, Jerona Fruits, Phuzion, Planet Funk and many more labels.

He started producing in the late 90s and soon after released his first 12" . Physics music has been supported by international DJ:s such as LTJ Bukem, Goldie, DJ Storm, Nookie, Marcus Intalex, Marky&XRS, D-Bridge, Randall, Bryan Gee, Seba, Makoto , Phil Source Direct, and many more. Being a busy DJ he constantly tours diffrent parts of the world bringing his unique take on the global sound of drum & bass to the party.

Drum & Bass duo The Prototypes release their much anticipated debut album 'City of Gold' on Viper Recordings following hit singles such as 'Pale Blue Dot', 'Don't Let Me Go' and 'Pop It Off'.

Already one of the hottest acts in the UK Drum & Bass club scene having 3 out of the Top 10 best selling tracks of 2014 on Beatport, The Prototypes are reaching new heights with their debut LP which showcases their trademark club sound and vocal anthems.

With Zane Lowe pedestalling the first glimpse into Bensley's diverse soundscape, 'Fandango' was a precursor for this forthcoming debut. 'Next Generation' is a bold move; with drum & bass being a genre which has certainly stood the test of time, newcomers have incredibly big shoes to fill. However, Bensley incorporates an innovative and incredibly intricate set of production skills to hold a title of his own.

But what can you expect from an artist who was signed after sending a single demo to revered label head Andy C. That's despite having no previous releases or having any other music available to stream online. He was somewhat of a mystery.

'Fandango' was that track. And it was premiered as a world exclusive on leading tastemaker Radio1, which followed with support from the likes of Mistajam on 1xtra, as well as DJs on both Kiss and XFM. Already demonstrating his widespread appeal with just one track, his air of mystery is now about to be broken. He's definitely an anomaly; being only nineteen and having impressed so many people.

'Next Generation' is a 10-track journey through an impressively diverse soundscape. Whether it's half-time breakdowns or the incorporation if cross genre-pollination it shows an astounding ability which will not go unrecognised.
From the opening bars of 'Wildfire', to the softly spoken pads and atmospheric note arpeggios of 'Rain Dance', then wrapped up by aptly named closing track 'Aftermath', there's no denying Bensley's masterful artistry.

Title-track 'Next Generation' leads you by the hand with snippets of humanistic sample, flowing in and out of its construct. It's built upon by striking note progressions, a relaying of patterns which chop and change the mix. Carefully placed subs add impact, with emphasis given on each break, carrying the track forward down a steep drop with each slab of bass.

Drawing together a dizzying and fresh array of new sounds, this album indicates why Bensley is a forerunner within the new generation of music comers. Its representative of the fast paced technological setting of music production he grew up around; it also proves that Bensley is able to tap into dimensions which are often unheard of in other bodies of work.

The last time we saw Schematic on Blu Saphir Recordings was two years ago. Much more accomplished (and wiser too), the Lacquer Channel Mastering engineer has succeeded with releases on Machinist, Aphelion, All Street, Such Music and Melting Pot. The intro is lush and packed in with strings and Amelia's voice breathes beautifully through the lead.... then as soon as you start to trust.... it flips and starts a fury with a dirty synth and keeps the kick pounding until it's ready to BLOW! Certified Killer!
"Demon Rocker" is absolutely infectious. Ragga-vibes and grit in all the right places coupled with huge reeces. This one gets straight to the point and keeps it fun and fresh on the quick mix. Basis giving their form and function on the Dub Phizix and and Skeptical type sound here, so fans of the vibes HEADS UP on this one! Badman!
"Graveyard" brings the minimal vibes with the grime UK Hip-Hop skills of rhyme bad-boy, SMK. As the title track of the EP, it packs serious depth and soul to the core. Starting off with the strings, moving to the clips and blips, and forward into SMK walking you through the graveyard styling every inch of the way. DJs won't be able to stay away from this one! Fits everywhere, and does the job EVERY time! "Get wild with style" and it's going to get hands in the air bouncing along with the subs and keeps it dirty! Fans of the sounds of Enei, LISTEN UP!
"Submerged" wraps up this EP with a classic style. It gives a half-step lead off and keeps it DARK! Lots of breaks, and plenty of nods to the old-school vibes of Drum and Bass. The 2nd Drop on this one..... whew! Heads are gonna move, and crowds are gonna bounce! From the halfstep intro, to the church bell breakdown, this one has all you need. Check it! Deep Funk!

Minor Rain has become known for his deep, sharp and experimental music, with a taste for the different and the unusual. From a background playing piano and saxophone to his adventures with Soundnbeats, Minor Rain is a musician who is always exploring, always expanding his horizons.

* And you can feel your horizons expanding with the first of the tunes on HWARE34, Totem Tube, which, from its tribal percussion beginnings, soon morphs out into a stinging, rising thing of beauty. But concentrate for a second, and you'll appreciate the life which is unearthed under the music. So much is contained in Resistor, you'll want to listen again and again.

Fire' one of the anthems from Radikal Guru's 'The Rootstepa' album is finally available on vinyl, backed by Hot's heavyweight jungle remix and extra digital versions from Alpha Steppa and Bukkha. Don't sleep on this one.

The eleventh One Seven Five release features two tracks with a bit of a dark theme: death.
"Prepare To Die" is as hard hitting as can be. Loud kickdrums, filthy reeces and plenty of distortion make you wonder whether you haven't already passed on and ended up on the backlot of Hell.
"Borrowed Time" is a friendly reminder that you haven't, letting you know that the Grim Reaper already tried your house, but to no avail. He is coming for you though so it might be wise to jump on that boat across the river Styx.
