**First vinyl issue in 2LP edition of 500 mastered and cut at D&M, first 180 copies include one of three 12" x 12" colour prints - if you're into Lee Gamble, The Caretaker/Leyland Kirby or Wolfgang Voigt's GAS project - this is a must** The Automatics Group's dance-pop deconstruction, 'Summer Mix' is one of the uncanniest computer music releases of this decade - first issued as a limited CD edition by Entr'acte in 2011. In the time since then it's quietly become a bit of an iconic reflection for a post-rave generation, presenting a non-trivial nostalgia trip that somehow sounds like a digitally diffused, skeletal take on Gas, Basic Channel or Ross 154. It was created by applying a mathematical process known as a discrete Fourier transform upon a number of late '90s and '00s dance anthems, effectively sieving their contents for all its time data and discarding this half of the info, leaving behind the frequencies and noise from the original recordings. What remains is a haunting spectral impression: snare hits smeared as a thin layer of noise over the entire recording, single synth notes become pulsating chords spanning the whole track; rending anthemic metaphysics as a sublime murmuration of intangible memories and perhaps even simulating the effect of an MDMA-induced cultural amnesia, to our mashed minds at least. Due to vinyl's inherent frequency limitations, the piece's unique, high-end timbral thizz sounds subtly altered on this version, with pulses pronounced just enough for adventurous DJs, and also features the bonus of a pre-installed 33rpm version if you really want to break it down. Whether considered as a critique of academic music's neurotically formal processes or as an arguably transcendent and tantalisingly emotive record, Summer Mix should serve as a fine primer to Theo Burt's practice in advance of his keenly awaited 'Gloss' album for Lorenzo Senni's Presto! label. 'Summer Mix' has become a deeply valued part of our listening lives, and we only hope that more people will get as much enjoyment from it as we do.

'Violet' is the new EP from Shield Patterns. The duo released their highly acclaimed debut album 'Contour Lines' (5/5 in The Skinny) in summer 2014 and this follow-up EP features four brand new tracks from the Manchester-based creators of electronic dark-pop music. Violet' is a lovingly crafted progression from 'Contour Lines'. The experimentation found there has been explored further to feature samples made from clicking bones, field recordings, heavy drones and a starker approach to production. On first listen the sound is more minimalistic than that debut album but multiple layers gradually reveal themselves over time. Brentnall's vocals were singled out for particular praise in early reviews and she has refined her vision further here, with her lyrical concerns focussing on the intimacy of bodies ("drip-feeding" and "mouths", for example) and her voice arranged into swirling loops like those which introduce and underpin final track 'Monument'. This is electronic music that juxtaposes warmth and cold, journeying from industrial to natural, from claustrophobic to expansive.

This compilation presents a collection of easy listening, jazz and soundtracks profile typically "loungeish", from the living room, offering a wide selection of intriguing developments for sophisticated lovers of this genre. Subtitled "Family Affair Chapter One" this disc ranges from psychedelic songs intrinsi of every subtle sound effect "trippy" and traces style Latin jazz with a hint. Arena psychedelic best moments are "Pygar's Persecution / The Black Queen's Beads", a rare cut of Bob Crewe from the soundtrack of the movie "Barbarella", which contrasts a casual listening to horn arrangements against some wild guitar solos and distorted "En Melody", an instrumental Serge Gainsbourg built on a duel of guitar strings by cutting electricity and some notes of sinuous funky background. In the easy listening the first choices are "Lament", an airy Nelson Riddle between layers of strings and horns airy light on a sweet Latin rhythms and easy-jazz version of George Shearing's "Aquarius" recreating the melody of the song through a jazz piano and vibraphone against a thick frame drumming in Brazilian style. Unfortunately the two extremes do not blend together ever and this makes for some sudden changes of tone, "Family Affair Chapter One" a challenging listening experience. Undoubtedly some minor cuts could have been excluded (the most annoying and 'bizarre version of Luis Enriquez of "Mas Que Nada", a coming and going of direct rendering of the song and moments of delirious interpretation), however, despite this "inconvenience", the Most of the tracks on this disc are delightful and most difficult to find. In conclusion "Family Affair Chapter One 'and' a difficult choice for the living room novice but certainly offers songs of sufficient rarity to please the most demanding veterans.

This compilation, presents a collection of easy listening, jazz, and film soundtrack cuts that have a loungeish edge to them. It offers up enough intriguing oddities to satisfy lounge cultists. Subtitled "Family Affair Chapter One," this disc divides its time between psychedelic instrumentals drenched in all sorts of trippy sonic effects and subtler, Latin-styled tracks with a jazz feel to them. In the psychedelic arena, the best moments include "Pygar's Persecution/The Black Queen's Beads," a rare cut by Bob Crewe from the Barbarella soundtrack that pits easy listening horn arrangements against some wild fuzz-guitar solos, and "En Melody," a Serge Gainsbourg instrumental built on a duel between slashing electric guitar leads and some funky, serpentine basslines. In the easy listening corner, the top picks are "Lamento," a breezy Nelson Riddle instrumental that layers breezy strings and light horns over a gentle Latin beat, and George Shearing's easy-jazz instrumental version of "Aquarius," which recreates the song's melody via jazzy piano and vibes against a thick backdrop of Brazilian-styled percussion. Unfortunately, the two extremes never really blend together and this makes for some abrupt shifts in tone that make 'Family Affair Chapter One' a difficult listening experience. There are also a few lesser cuts that could have been bypassed; the most annoying is Luis Enriquez's bizarre version of "Mas Que Nada," which veers back and forth between a straight rendition of the song and what sounds like drunken gibberish. Despite this problem, most of the cuts on this disc are entertaining and almost all of them are tough to come by. In the end, 'Family Affair Chapter One' is not an ideal pick for the lounge novice, but offers more than enough rarities to please the seasoned veteran

Sphere Gear is the latest chapter in a musical journey that began in 1999 with Weekend World Recordings and more recently evolved into Shadow Story, the label and home of Bradford duo Martin Cartledge and Alexander Church, aka Dronelock, and Serbian duo Boriz Noize and Dekode, aka Ontal. Operating as an offshoot of Shadow Story, the Sphere Gear imprint will release just 10 limited-press vinyl releases in its existence.

Dronelock kick off Sphere Gear's debut outing with 'Theia', a 5-track EP that delves into the darkest reaches of the duo's abstract electronic world. The title track is a potent, claustrophobic opener, with chopper blades, caustic drones and eerie synth shimmers making for a turbulent and unsettling trip. 'Morphia' offers an antidote, washing over the senses with its all-consuming, ethereal ambience, before the menacing electro of 'The Oath' drags you right back out of the dream state.

'In Human Form' tests the senses further, a schizophrenic soundscape that balances dead silence and abrasive noise, leaving the EP to conclude with the dystopian techno march of 'Once Again', an unruly kick drum call-to-arms.

All five tracks will be available on the limited edition vinyl release, while 'Theia' and 'The Oath' will also be available as a digital download.

The less we know about Belgian sound alchemist Pepijn Caudron (aka Kreng), the better. We know his debut release 'L'Autopsie Phenomenale De Dieu' appeared seemingly out of nowhere on the Miasmah label in 2009, but other than that very little tangible information has surfaced. This sequel, the blackly monikered 'Grimoire' simply re-enforces Caudron's shadowy legacy with a similarly dank concoction of cracked strings, creaking percussion and half-heard dialogue. Thankfully however Caudron has refined his craft in every way, from the artfully restrained layering of samples to the deliriously magickal atmosphere he manages to conjure up. There is the sense even from the first few seconds of the record that you are transported out of time and reality, and as hoarse, alien breaths croak over oily bass drones the poignant spoken words 'You don't belong here' become an apt anchor for the entire album.

'All Under', the companion release to 'All Over' compiles soundtracks to films, installations and a self penned short story. This is familiar terrain for Lewis who, along with Bruce Gilbert produced the early interactive audio-visual installation 'MZUI' at London's Waterloo Gallery in 1981. Since this period Lewis as been involved in countless soundtracks to all manner of cultural artefacts. The haunting score to Gunilla Leander's 2003 short film 'All Under' was improvised in real time with a sampler and FX processing and recorded on to mini disc. The results are a viscous ambience of swirls, feedback and distortion. This material was then adapted for an immersive 3 screen installation of the same visual material which features combinations of 6 nude bodies (4 men, 2 women) fighting and wrestling, filmed underwater

LCC (perviously known as LasCasiCasiotone) is Ana Quiroga and Uge Pañeda who hail from the Asturias region of northern Spain, and are now based in Gijon. d/evolution plays with this ambiguity: it juxtaposes warm soundscapes with unexpected ones, simultaneously evokes images of urban and natural environments, transforms synthetic sounds into organic ones, all with the objective of taking us closer to our origins

The last time Fennesz released an album on Austrian label Mego it was 2001 and the name of that release was 'Endless Summer'. Now, in 2014 Editions Mego is extremely proud to release the conceptual follow up that landmark of abstract pop. Eschewing the more drone orientated works of 'Black Sea', 'Bécs' returns to the more florid pop mechanisms as deployed on Endless Summer. ' Bécs is not just an album or a series of songs, it's a world to inhabit, a landscape ripe with sounds, songs and that esteemed Fennesz signature. A singular work by a singular artist.

Format: Black Vinyl LP 33rpm. Edition: 250. "Object Subject To Change" (iDEAL109) is Henrik Rylander's fourth album for iDEAL but the first since 2009. Rylander is king of hypnotizing, focused feedback drone with razorsharp noise and monotonous pulse. Music that feels as comfortable in academic worlds as in filthy basements. Henrik Rylander was the drummer of the provocative, sweaty and chaotic garage rock band Union Carbide Productions (1987-1993). After a few years focusing on his visual art (photography) he started experimenting in sound and especially with feedback and static rhythms. In 1998 his first solo album was released but it was not until 2003 with the massive 'Formation' album for Leif Elggren's Firework label he had found the recepy of intensity that he is known for today. In 2004 the 'Traditional Arrengements of Feedback' CD was released on iDEAL which led to a worldwide focus on Rylander's work. In 2005 he formed the monotonous avant rock group The Skull Defekts together with Joachim Nordwall. Henrik Rylander is also active exhibiting his sound- and visual art. He is no doubt one of the sharpest, heaviest and most conceptual Swedish artists around today.

The 1st EP by Moon Zero (London-based Tim Garratt) 'TOMBS' is, especially for a debut, a bold and confident musical statement, which reimagines the possibilities of processed organ and vocal sounds in a live context. The opener 'Dalyan' builds from slowly wavering layers of sound into a crumbling, decaying wall of fuzzed-out, peaking noise, which in turn builds again into ever-moving blocks of chopped loops and feedback, absorbing the listener completely into Moon Zero's musical space. A remarkable listen.

Ambient/ Electro/ Experimental.. For fans of Tim Hecker, Fennesz, Hans-Joachim Roedelius. "The Silver Chimney Club / Wat Tyler comprises two long form tracks written between between ""Onkalo"" and the latest Petrels album ""Mima"". Originally released for a short while in digital format they're now presented here in re-mastered form with new artwork for this release. Asked about the background of the two tracks, Petrels' Oliver Barrett comments: ""The Silver Chimney Club was written to mark the death of my grandfather, Ernest Barrett, who passed away at the end of last year. A civil engineer during his working life, The Silver Chimney Club was the name of the name of a group formed of fellow work colleagues who would meet up on a semi-regular basis - I suspect more for social than professional reasons. As a tribute I'm not sure what he would have made of it but I wanted to create something that combined the industry he was a part of with his love of music that was passed on down to me. My grandfather was a socialist and Labour supporter (by which I mean the original post-war, pre-Blair party) - another thing I inherited from him, and which ties with the second piece on this release. Wat Tyler is named after the leader of the Peasants' Revolt in England in 1381. Ostensibly a revolt against the poll tax, the movement was built on an undercurrent of a desire for social change and a demand for an end to the stiflingly limiting social structures of the time. Initially successful, the rebellion was abruptly cut short when Wat Tyler was murdered by the Mayor of London after Tyler supposedly insulted the young kind of England, Richard II during a parley. Over six centuries on, a lot less has changed in the world than those involved in the Peasants' Revolt might have hoped." Since releasing his debut ""Haeligewielle"" in 2011, Petrels has toured across Europe and shared a stage with the likes of Tim Hecker, FIRE!, Nate Young (Wolf Eyes), Trouble Books, Fennesz, Nadja, and Hans-Joachim Roedelius (Cluster). Having also collaborated with and provided remixes for artists as varied as Duane Pitre, Brassica, Talvihorros and Max Cooper, Petrels' output is proving to be thrillingly eclectic and unpredictable. 'RIVEN' by ULLI BOMANS comes straight from the heart of SHITKATAPULT, both personally and musically. As Schieres and Shrubbn!! (with T.Raumschmiere), ULLI BOMANS has been releasing uncompromising electronic music since the day the Berlin Label was founded. But BOMANS' main work is actually as a visual artist in Hamburg (and Bremen), which is also how the cover of RIVEN originated - an illustration of his work 'MISSING SHIPS' from his last exhibition ('SPOILPARK') in Bremen. His work consists mostly of large-scale collages, which are aptly referred to as urban sampling and are closely related to his music production. So it seemed more than logical for a late debut album to forgo the alias and come with an authentic author's album as this

The compilations, named Music For Machines Part 1 and Part 2, will take the form of two vinyl LPs released apart, with both releases complied together onto one CD available at a later date. Michigan born producer Beltran, of course, has released countless legendary EPs and LPs on labels like Peacefrog, Carl Craig's Retroactive and Belgium's R&S. His music has been licensed to high profile HBO TV series and a number of films, and pulls together elements of jazz, world music, organic soundscapes and electronic textures into compelling listening experiences. Most recently this came in the form of his Amazing Things album in 2013, whilst his career spanning Ambient Selections from 2011 is still a vital listen. Part 1 of the compilation pulls together new and exclusive tracks from the likes of Winter Flags, Blair French, David Elpezs and John himself, whilst part two focuses on the likes of Natalie Beridze, Kirk Degiorgio and Vincent Volt. Part 1 opens up with the found sound lushness of 'Winterfall Winds' before naturally unfolding through Reinehr's wintry harmonics and the crowning glory of Beltran's own titular track, which is a moving bit of textured modern classical music that sooths your mind, body and soul. As for Part 2, it is riddled with sumptuous sonic delights like Greg Chin's icy and alpine 'Dashboard Angels' and Mick Chillage's beautifully suspended 'Only In My Dreams'. Vincent Volt keeps things beautifully beachy with his 'Subway Arp' and A2B2C2's 'Stereometry' is a suitably sombre affair that closes the compilation down in style.

Realized over a four year period, Sean McCann's Ten Impressions for Piano & Springs is a document of transition and maturation. Just recently Terre Thaemlitz - world-wide known and awarded writer, public speaker, multimedia producer, DJ, audio producer, and head honcho of the label Comatonse Recordings - released under his deep house alias DJ Sprinkles the mix cd - Where Dancefloors Stand Still' on Mule Musiq - a grooving house music critic on Japans strange fuzoku law that currently is threatening the Japanese clubs with a curfew.

Now he spreads some timeless spiritual grooves with a collection of his own productions based on originals by artists like Kuniyuki, Ducktails, Matt Tolfrey, or Hard Ton. They are all deep as house can be and their spirit is rooted in the uniqe lifestory of the American in Japan that was originally djing in the heydays of the gay clubs of midtown Manhattan and New Jersey in the late eigthies and early nineties - a time when deep house began to take air.

After the New York scene got world-wide famed and lost its family spirit he embarged to Japan where he held a three years residency at Tokyo's Club Module from 2003 till 2006.
In January 2009 he release his album - Midtown 120 Blues' that got hailed as one of the most essential house albums of the last few years and that been voted by the online electronic music magazine Residentadvisor as the best album of the year.

In all that time DJ Sprinkles, who's famous poet is Karl Marx and who loves to eat Cashew chicken in Southwest Missouri style, never thought much of trends and his own music didn't hook on to any Zeitgeist novelty. Instead he sticked to the soulful brand of New York house music to transform it with his own individual emotions into party music with soul that can not be put in a drawer.

Gunnar Haslam is a long-time regular at The Mister. By day he's a scholar of particle physics and signal processing, and by night he makes very heady music, some of which has made its way onto their very first ten-inch release.

The Cotton Goods affiliated Other Ideas imprint ends the year with a bit of a seasonal treat - a long-in-the-making conceptual album made in the spirit of, and delivered just in time for xmas. The Humble Bee is the work of Craig Tattersall of Hood / The Remote Viewer and The Boats fame, featured here in collaboration with a cast of players that have long been part of his extended musical family, including Russell Burden (Harmonium), Marrissa Katarine Bergmann (Voice), Bill Seaman (Piano) Emmanuel Witzthum (Viola), Danny Norbury (Cello) and Thomas Ruhe (Trumpet). As Tattersall explains: The project began upon seeing a video of Ukichiro Nakaya creating artificial snowflakes in a laboratory in 1936. With further research into snowflake formation I devised a set of rules for players to perform by. All snowflakes follow one rule, they have 6 sides. So I choose 6 players and asked them to watch a small film I had made cutting from original footage of Ukichiro Nakaya creating snowflakes. In reaction to this I asked each player to compose and perform a piece of music with their given instrument based upon a predefined 6 note scale and instructed each player to record at 60bpm. Each player was also given a length of time to play for, from 1 to 6 minutes at 1 minute intervals. They were told that silences and spaces were as welcome as noises and notes and that was all. Once I received all the audio I set about constructing a piece of music around these parts. I had figured that if they all played/started at once and looped they would fall back into sync after 60 minutes. So I made the piece one hour, the rest was composition and processing.' Having built up a dedicated following with two cassette only releases on his own Varech label, Belgian producer Brice Dreessen, AKA Lowcommittee, has signed to the cult Vlek label for the release of 'Race at Neon Club'.

Featuring 8 tracks of dazzling electronic soundscapes, 'Race at Neon Club' sees Dreessen fulfill the promise of his early work to deliver a beautiful, if at times unsettling, album that ranges from blissful interstellar ambience through to disorientating experimental noise and industrial rhythms.

Kicking things off with '23E4' Dreessen perfectly sets the tone for an album that time and time again conjures up incredible cosmic vistas in the mind's eye, it's sparkling synths blinking in an out of existence like the first stars illuminating the inky blackness.

Throughout 'Race at Neon Club' Dreessen delivers a masterclass in modular synthesis, '2702' recalls the serene majesty of Gavin Russom and Delia Gonzalez's 'Rise', '1943', the record's first drum beat but still the focus is on the brittle synths and hollow turbine roar that propels us through to 'Sativae', whose haunting organ chords swell above the untamed sounds that bubble away beneath.

Opening side 2 of the album 'Diptych' sounds like an orchestra of old radios tuned to ancient transmissions, a cacophony of chaos that is finally brought to clockwork order by the introduction of a mechanical hip-hop beat.

'Void' recalls the lascivious stop-start intro to Grace Jones' 'Pull Up To The Bumper' filtered through the gridlock of Brussels traffic, whilst 'Salon' sounds like Gescom soundtracking a documentary of the earliest life on earth, amino acids bubbling away in some primordial pit. Closing out the album with the beatless 'Chair', Dreessen brings us full circle as one by one the lights go out and we're left along again in the dark void.

Released digitally and on 12' this December, the limited edition vinyl release maintains Vlek's strong visual identity with a beautiful blue and gold ink hand-letterpressed sleeve designed by the label's own Dimitri Runkkari.

'a day in the life' - the brand-new ambient and beyond album by lawrence, confirms this assumption - yet no world really collapsed on the dj and producer from hamburg. instead his emotional perception danced upon friendship and wanderlust and he put together twelve tracks for an album dedicated to his long lasting relation to toshiya kawasaki, man of action behind labels like mule musiq, endless flight and mule electronic, and the artist stefan marx.

besides co-running the label dial and the mathew gallery in berlin lawrence is constantly releasing music on his own labels and befriended platforms like smallville records. furthermore the north german regularly contributes to kawasaki's imprints mule musiq and electronic. just recently he dropped the ep 'blue mountain' on mule musiq - a deep emotional foretaste of what 'a day in the life' delivers on album length.

the music he shares on his latest long player isn't linked to a special place or event. he mostly produced it up-road on his dj trips around the globe including toshiya's homeland japan. back in his cosy backyard studio in hamburg he finished all musical pieces and mixed them down with a lot of joy.

they are listening to great track names like "nowhere is a place" or "lost in joy", which allow in combination with the lovingly detailed sounds imaginative mind games. in terms of style ambient calls the tune and opens the genre into the wide open with the very own musical and emotive language of lawrence.

a track like 'nowhere is a place' spreads smoothly twisted spectral vibes with blurring sounds that could easily originate from alienated instruments like a damaru or a conch horn. lawrence himself keeps it secret and let the music speak for itself. sometimes soft sizzling noise slides under gentle balanced ambient air like in the track 'the visit'.

in other arrangements he let the chords dance with cute smacking electronic glimpses or odd slow-motion melodies remind on the work of hans-joachim roedelius and his love for the gentle swing.

all compositions float and sound like the improvisations of a virtuoso who has forgotten his virtuosity in order to drown real deep in his creations. for lawrence the album is 'a triple buddy record' as not only his emotional content is included in the finished product. also his friends stefan marx - who is in charge for the artwork - and mule musiq head toshiya kawasaki have been profoundly involved in the outcome.

'since ten years the three of us work together. the record shows this very nicely in terms of our love for ambient music and cover artwork. the cover shows stefan's sublet apartment in nyc - also a very ambient place.
the idea for the record emerged out of a sudden inspiration and this fits prefect to the way how toshiya runs a label where sharing a good natural wine is more important than marketing.'

lawrence confesses about the genesis of 'a day in the life' and its emotional content. it is a weightless one where all feelings are stored supremely in what you can hear, see and hold in hand. and they are not made for them alone. they are there to share.

Biblo's new album, 'Absence', to be released on November 24th 2014 on the c.sides Label, is certainly not a matter of lightness. It's a spellbinding, enchanted journey that begins in a rift that opened in Turkey shortly before the Gezi protests evolved, and travels deep to sift the edges of human unrest and personal unfastening.
Recorded amidst the political and social turmoil, 'Absence' is, to say it with Biblo's own words, 'about the absence of desire, absence of roots, absence of meaning, absence of justice.'
But even with substantial context aside, 'Absence' is an emotional and deeply intimate work that offers an unsettling musical experience for the listener.
'Absence' is filled with haunting sound and abyssal beauty, marked with profound sensitivity and hair-raising despair. The album expresses a deeply troubled and hurt relationship with humanity through the artist's unique musical language, utilizing her own voice, sampling, and electronic means with incredible skill.
'Absence' embodies roughly one year starting early 2013 till early 2014. During this time, Biblo decided to try and live outside of Istanbul and Turkey (and moved to Berlin, Germany), then came back to Istanbul witnessing the protests evolve, and decided to stay.
The album is a personal testimony of being in this non-place, being torn between places that stand for different concepts to lead your life. "I eventually came to grips with the understanding that life is often about tolerating where you are,' Biblo summons, 'and that we can be meaningful wherever our place is.'

If you ask the Canadian producer and DJ Edward Currelly aka Eddie C to name you some things he have'nt
done yet but always wanted he answers: - Visit Greenland. Sell 45s off the back of my motorcycle in Jamaica.'
Those who know the music of the former countryman that left the Canadian nature to get inspired by the lively
culture jungle of Berlin get a winking smile on their lips.

Because those who know his music know that the answer is not only a dream - it is also a dreamy picture of
the essence of his music: laid-back, deep, and heartfelt dedication - thats what his sound is about - like chilling
out on the seat of your Yamaha CB 200 while selling stress-free vinyls of old reggae anthems under the clear
blue Caribbean sky.

His second album - Country City Country' is full of such a vibes. But not obvious and this at least because there
is not much reggae to be found. Only in his dubbed out album opener - To Each Their Own' you can hear the
echoes of Jamaica cleary. Then his record passes away into some cool hiphop instrumentals full of haunting
samples that easily loop in your head.

Already here you are bewitched by Eddie C's gifted hand for playful musicality that goes far beyond the average
concept of a track. His hiphop leaves the usual soul loop map behind while diving into some cosmic zones full of
melting melodies.

With the fifth track - Drinkin and Thinkin' the man that releases his delicate crafted music since 2009 on labels
such as 7 Inches Of Love, Endless Flight, Karat Records, or his own imprint Red Motorbike starts to drop a more
demanding danceable funk. From then on style does'nt matter and Eddie C let his musical love affairs free
wheeling: West-Coast-Rock, Balearic, Funk, Cosmic, Boogie, House, string-laden Disco deepness - you name it.

'I hope a small bit of my musical interests come across.' he explains about the diversity of styles which are
hold together by a unique funkyness that is hard to resist. When Eddie C was a child he played piano, violin and
guitar. At highschool he played in multiple bands of many different styles.

In the early 90s he went to the great Techno parties in Toronto and Detroit and danced the night away. Later in
the decade he had his own radio show for 4 years. In all that time he been a passionate record collector and he
always wrote music that is filled with his knowledge about it.

That is why - Country City Country' jumps airy and laid-back from jazz to house, from dry jacking rhythms to
cool rolling bass grooves, from wild clapping drum beats to playful uplifting brasil piano house madness. Always
with melodies above and in the bassline. The inspiration behind his new album is to share more music Eddie C
reveals. And this not with a look on the dancefloor in the first place.

'I don't really write music with the thought of using it in a DJ set later' he says. Instead he writes music that
listens to his heart in order to reach the heart of the listener. It is all produced on really cheap and affordable
stuff with reaching the maximum out of it. What Eddie C found in all of his machines is a funk that hits the fan
wherever he is: in the deserted Canadian mountains, the green Jamaican hills, or in the moving sunday
afternoon Berghain wilderness.

Sasu Ripatti is one of electronic music's most prolific and eclectic producers. Throughout the last two decades Ripatti has explored every imaginable genre with over 20 albums under aliases such as Luomo and Sistol. A classically trained percussionist, the Finnish native has also performed as a part of the Moritz Von Oswald Trio and his own Vladislav Delay Quartet. He returns now under his Vladislav Delay moniker with a uniquely inspired album.'Visa' was a product of pure happenstance. In early 2014, Ripatti was denied entry to the United States and was forced to cancel an entire tour. Suddenly left with unhindered time and a surplus of creative energy, he was able to give birth to the album in a span of only two weeks. Ripatti describes this time as a moment in which 'a valve broke open... and I collected what came out the pipes.''Visa is Ripatti's first foray into ambient music in over ten years, yet it is not simply passive background music. Rather it is an active entity, a soundscape built from textured layers of evocative industrial noises and dream-like melodic loops. Clocking in at just under an hour and made almost entirely with analog hardware, the album was designed to be listened to at high volume and in full detail. Beatless and void of percussion, Visa's five cuts challenge the listener to follow Ripatti on his journey through time and musical machinery.
