THE PARTY is a celebration that has existed for nearly 10 years in Paris. A private event, off the radar of social media, THE PARTY is inspired by the New York Loft, and gathers between 150 and 400 people twice a year, under a church.
It was created by Serge Papo and his wife Maryvonne Beaune. Serge Papo organized the first rave parties in Paris in the early 1990s; he has been a DJ and party organizer for over 30 years.
On January 31, 2026, THE PARTY will celebrate its 10th anniversary, will invite the DJ of the New York Loft, Douglas Sherman, and will launch its label, THE PARTY RECORDS, along with a debut release — the double single Crystal Clear / Zeva — the result of a collaboration between Serge and Etibar Asadli, an exceptional jazz pianist from Azerbaijan who now lives in Paris.

With Dark Matter EP, Rambal Cochet continues his exploration of the fringes of electronic music, where ritual, cosmic and hypnotic sounds create a soundscape between mysticism and science fiction. The EP moves naturally between rhythms, atmospheres and synthetic lines from a lost rave futurism.

Each track has its own journey in a single narrative, with deep bass, percussive patterns oscillating between trance, downtempo and global influences, and a melodic sensibility that is both distinctive and accessible.

Dark Matter EP is a work that celebrates the visionary and cinematic side of Rambal Cochet, mixing mystery, spirituality and club pulsation for the dance floor and listener.

Luca Olivotto is back on Small Great Things sub-label At A Glance with new four-track EP, ‘Acquafun’.

Berlin-based DJ, producer, and label head Luca Olivotto continues to shape the underground house scene through his acclaimed imprint Small Great Things and its signature Small Great House events. Known for his warm, soulful House sound and meticulous curation, Luca now recently expanded his creative universe with the launch of At A Glance, a new sublabel under his direction.

Leading the charge is ‘I Got Nothing’ setting the mood with a buoyant bassline, bright piano lines, west coast funk style synth licks and jazzy undertones floating amongst a crisp, swinging drum groove. ‘Prosciutto’ follows in style a delectable sonic treat layered with organic percussion, airy chords, dubbed-out vocals, smooth strings, and a deep, rolling low-end that oozes warmth and character.

Rhiza Semar presents its fourth chapter with Yildizlara, a four-track odyssey shaped from shadow, rhythm, and elemental texture. Crafted as both visceral tools and introspective journeys, the record navigates between ominous density and luminous release, guided by a deep awareness of space, myth, and matter. As an artist, Hitam paves the way for a new sound emerging from his burrows to build bridges between electronic subgenres while shaping a landscape unmistakably his own. Orb Weaver opens the cycle with jagged IDM rhythms that coil and release like threads of a web pulled taut. Originally composed for the graduation project of fashion designer Tim van der Plas, who's collection was inspired on climbing out of depression, its atmosphere is dark and ceremonial, with textures scraping against silence until catharsis emerges from the tension. A confrontation between inner turmoil and release. On Vanishing of the Anasazi, cavernous reverbs carry traces of lost structures, percussion echoing as if across ruins. The track suspends itself between presence and absence, architecture and collapse, leaving the listener in a space where echoes become the only surviving form of memory. Mesh Grip plunges downward into subterranean force. A thundering groove rumbles like minerals being unearthed, goblin-like figures at work in hidden shafts, chiseling away at stone in endless rhythm. Tomos is no stranger to reinvention. Over the years, his sonic explorations have spanned genres, yet one thread has remained constant—his deep-rooted connection to house music. His earliest co-releases under the alias Vanguard were high-energy French House cuts, built on the foundations of crate-digging and sample collage, channeling the spirit of Daft Punk and the wider French electronic movement.

Now, 15 years later, he returns to those techniques with a fresh perspective, releasing his latest EP Soul Feels Good through the esteemed Noire & Blanche.

Soul Feels Good isn’t just a nod to the past—it’s a showcase of the vast influences that drive his ever-evolving sound. Tomos weaves together an intricate patchwork, merging the meticulous sampling techniques of his early career with a broader, more mature musical palette. The result? Finnish dub-techno craftsman TM Shuffle, head of Vuo Records, resurfaces with a deep and distilled EP that goes straight for the late-night heart of the dancefloor. Rooted in Tampere’s raw, analog dub sound, his productions have long balanced weight and warmth, smoked-out chords, rolling low-end and subtle shuffle that keeps the groove in constant motion.
The lead track “Kellari” dives into basement mode: pressure-cooker drums, slow-burning stabs and a humid, lived-in atmosphere that feels equally at home on a huge system or in headphones at 4 a.m. On the second original cut, TM Shuffle links up once again with long-time collaborator Monoder, the alias of Jussi-Pekka Parikka, known for his dubbed-out explorations on labels like Statik Entertainment and Pakkas-Levyt since the early 2000s. Their joint track stretches time, letting echo, tape hiss and distant melodic fragments float around a rock-solid groove, channelling years of shared studio language into one focused, hypnotic flow.
On the flip, Anton Kubikov (SCSI-9) steps in with a lush reinterpretation of Kellari. A true Russian techno veteran with a catalog that spans Kompakt, Force Tracks, Mayak and beyond, Kubikov melts the original into a widescreen, dream-state trip, soft-focus pads, gentle yet insistent percussion and that unmistakable rolling pulse that made his work so enduring. The remix doesn’t just extend the track; it opens a new dimension, turning the basement pressure into a slow-rising, celestial drift.
Pressed on limited coloured vinyl, this EP is built for selectors who like their dub techno deep, human and timeless, a record that will quietly live in bags for years and keep resurfacing whenever the room calls for true late-night elevation.

Ballan makes his Ba Dum Tish debut with two slices of bass-driven fuego.

"Dance On", the latest single from Canopy continues the label's enthusiasm for re-issuing vintage Afro-tropical funk, reggae & disco, paired with modern remixes and remakes.

Two long out of print and previously un-reissued musical gems from Malian musician Nawari, get an overdue second life. Those gems being the eponymous "Dance On", an upbeat Afro-reggae-disco dancer originally self-released in 1987, and "Fanta Cini", originally released in 1989, which takes a deeper, tougher "proto-Afro-electro-funk" direction.

Sharing creative duties is Russian producer Valique, aka "V" from the best-selling "V's edits series, appearing on Canopy for the first time with a strong contribution to the label. Taking the title tune he reimagined & recreated it, building from Nawari's vocals and recording live horns, skanking guitars and percussion, blended with his signature classy production: crisp, warm, groovy & punchy.

Valique turns in 3 different mixes of Dance On, ranging from reggae disco, to cosmic Afro beat, timbale percussion workouts and beyond.

The release spans a range of moods, segueing between the past & present, organic and electronic, proving itself to be well suited for many environments, from the kitchen party to the bars, clubs & festivals of the world.

Echonomist drops debut Rekids EP with ‘My Religion’. He follows his recent remix for Frankey & Sandrino on the label with collaborations with OVEOUS and Ede.

Greece’s Echonomist, aka Petros Manganaris, returns to Rekids with the ‘My Religion’ EP, arriving 30th January 2026 and featuring collaborations with OVEOUS and Ede. It follows his 2025 remix for Frankey & Sandrino, which won plays from HAAi, John Digweed, Auntie Flo, and more, alongside recent music on labels like Habitat, Innervisions, and its sublabel, Exit Strategy.

Echonomist’s ‘My Religion’ EP opens with the title track, where he teams up with Hyper Soul founder OVEOUS for a loopy, hypnotic cut driven by an alarm-like sequence and tripped-out spoken word vocal. OVEOUS returns on ‘We Surrender’, adding psychedelic, warped phrases over deep bass and an infectious clap-led groove. Gothenburg-based Finnish pianist Joona Toivanen makes his We Jazz Records debut with his long-standing trio featuring Tapani Toivanen on bass and Olavi Louhivuori of Superposition on drums. Searching for new opportunities on the minimal side of acoustic groove-based free music, the trio introduces a single edit of a hard-driving album track to be, "Except For", and a fresh take on Terry Riley's "Keyboard Study No. 2" on the flip. Fans of introspective jazz piano plus minimalist modern composition take notice.

Fossils welcomes Alek Lee, who has previously dropped a great album on Antinote, for a debut outing that finds him leaning into his more clubby sounds, but without sacrificing any of his signature musical personality and rhythm inventiveness. The title cut opens with swooning strings and funky bass for a chord-laced and uplifting, playful sound. 'The Valley' is more soulful house with a breezy synth vibe, and 'Elmalmale' gets more down and deep with grittier textures, while weird vocals drift in and out to lend it a leftfield edge. 'Wings' combines dub, Balearic and hints of New Age into another supple and singular sound.

Following the success of his last RS release, 'Ripples,' the enigmatic Wallace returns to Rhythm Section after a series of stellar releases with a highly anticipated follow-up - ‘Papertrip’ that is destined to once again set the dance music community ablaze.

Wallace's impact on the scene has been nothing short of extraordinary, since Ripples he has gone on to play in the iconic Panorama bar, tour Japan and release a double LP on Mule musiq.Wallace continues to cultivate a dedicated following among discerning listeners and industry tastemakers alike. Now, with the forthcoming release, Wallace is poised to ascend to new heights, continuing the undeniable Wallace-maina.

The Reflex is a disco don with a fine ear for tweaking a classic and bringing the same sensibilities to his own originals. This new one on Flex7 is a marriage of funk, soul and disco that is going to bring joy to any party. 'Without Ur Luv' has big and silky vocals and loved-up call and response with funky lines and glittery synths. On the flipside is a 'Xpress Urselves', a rework of a funky classic with all the guttural vocal cries, big horns, percolating drums and killer bass. It retains the original's charm, though with a new school edge. Two highly effective jams.

Quickly following March’s The Fool - our label debut - Sa Pa reveals his new album Ambeesh on Short Span.

Coming five years after In A Landscape, and nearly a decade since his debut Fuubutsushi, Ambeesh pulls together a previously hidden body of work.

Written between 2014-2019 and long held in reserve awaiting the right moment for release, the album has often been grouped conceptually as a follow up to his FORUM debut. There’s a strong through line connecting the unique language and liveliness of ambient, layered field recordings, and dub techno found in those earlier records, as well as the seamless skydive through pressure formations found in the Enter Sa Pa production mix, which hinted at several of these tracks.

These pieces have taken time to surface and fully catch the light, but there’s still little else that compares. It’s a cache of some of his deepest and most texturally thrilling music, some of which have been rattling around in our ears and minds and conversation for years and have now found the right home and time. Forward thinking and singular in its combination of atmosphere; Ambeesh can press on the body at the right volume, and moves in thrust and riposte with the listener’s circadian rhythms. Sa Pa continues to dissolve the border between club-informed experimentation and intimate headphone listening.

Ambeesh also marks the artist’s return to Australia and the beginning of a new phase.

Based in Rennes and founder of the Vives label in 2020, Weever has been exploring the interplay of light and shadow for over 10 years, crafting abstract soundscapes and textured sonic tunnels of unparalleled musical breadth. He elegantly blends industrial and baroque sounds to construct sonic cathedrals. His music is both utterly raw and meticulously crafted.

started this EP in 2020. At the time, I had just finished my studies, it was a pretty difficult period and I had made a track, or rather a melody, that I thought was amazing. I held onto it all these years without ever releasing it. 2020 was a tough year overall. The big question was: What am I going to do with my life? Hence the title L’âge de la Galère

The title really started to make sense when I began putting tracks together for Micheal. Around that time, I was reading Those of 1914 by Maurice Genevoix. For those who don’t know it: it’s written as a journal and tells the story of the author and his fellow soldiers in the trenches during World War I.

I’ve always been passionate about the two World Wars, I watch every film, old and new, I listen to the soundtracks, and so on. Same with period films, especially medieval ones. I love drawing inspiration from them.

So naturally, I imagine and create around that. It comes easily because it’s always been my universe. And when I make music, those kinds of images inevitably come out, even subconsciously.

So I created and told an audio story through my 6 tracks.

“It’s 1914. The story of many men who, upon hearing the sound of the bells, are met with the announcement of a war like no other. Most of them are young, some very young, and they are drafted into the French and German armies. They have no military experience, and the first battles are so violent that many won’t make it back. Very few will earn the glory they deserve.

The conditions are appalling, everything is in short supply, and the men are exhausted. Still, they must hold on.
Leaving carelessly from beneath their mothers’ skirts, too few returned. Many were left traumatized, and an entire generation was forever changed.”

Ausdrucksstarke Gesänge in freien Versen, begleitet von gleitenden Violinen, gehämmertem Santouri, Gitarre und Oud - die hybriden Klänge des Mittelmeerraums zu Beginn des 20. Jahrhunderts. ,Aman Aman" rufen die Sänger auf diesen Aufnahmen, deren Stimmen auf 78-U/min-Schallplatten aus den Jahren 1911 bis 1935 verewigt sind. Alle waren von den Konflikten betroffen, die zur Kleinasiatischen Katastrophe von 1923 führten, sowie von den Zwangsmigrationen zwischen Griechenland und der Türkei davor und danach. Ihre Werke spiegeln diese Reisen wider - erschütternde Gedichte über den Verlust der Liebe und der Heimat, begleitet von einigen der besten Musiker der damaligen Zeit. Nach jahrelanger intensiver Recherche hören wir die präzisen, einfühlsamen und überwältigend kraftvollen Stimmen von Künstlern wie Antonis ,Dalgas" Diamantidis, Sofrouniou und Stellakis Perpiniadis, zusammen mit aufschlussreichen Aufnahmen von weitgehend unbekannten Musikern, deren Werke hier zum ersten Mal veröffentlicht werden. Vohkinne is the alter-ego of Craig McWhinney, close associate and one of Southern Light’s foundation artists. The Way Of All Things is his first album in six years and provides a dystopian sonic journey into contemporary and modern techno that few artists can match.

Internal Collapse is an opening statement of intent; drone-infused and heavily cloaked dark ambient techno. Falling Knife is a chilling half step creation, providing a sense of murky sonics raining down from above. Unearthly Lights shifts gears as it traverses a more linear and magnetic path, while Disintegration diverts again with darker, squelching breaks.

C h r o m e s t h e s i a slows down the tempo but the morose and opaque feel of the album remains ever present, before War Paint is unleashed with a sense of urgency and high-octane intensity. Between Lives continues that intensity by unleashing its dark hypnotic breaks, before closing with the title track, perhaps for the first time on the album revealing a ray of hope amongst the dystopian energy that prevails on the album.

The Way Of All Things is more than a collection of tracks; it’s a look inside one artist’s view of the world, distilled into a singular and expansive archetype body of work.

Following up after the recent Circadian Rhythms release is Sebastian S under his Caustic 14 alias with a yummy yummy 2x12” six tracker full of speedy bleep science breakbeat and colorful jungle techno compositions that could only be made in BRUXHELL (Brussels).

The selection is a patchwork of various unreleased works from around 1993 to 1996. A silent witness of these rave-days said the following about the production process of the tracks on this new Basic Moves release:
“We were eager to share our individual sound universes with each other and see where it would take us. These compositions emerged during many sleepless nights spent watching videos of science fiction series such as Babylon 5 or Star Trek, scrutinising each episode while composing.”

Prolific beat pharmacist par excellence Brendon Moeller continues his hot streak with a return to Samurai to serve up the exquisite craftsmanship of Shadow Language. Across 15 fresh productions the seasoned house and techno producer demonstrates yet more variations on his rejuvenated sound since pivoting towards 160 tempo zones. Heavyweight dub techno pulses collide with D&B pressure and dubstep snarl, delivered with devastating restraint and mediative warmth.

Moeller's dub-informed, high-grade production hit a hot streak as he started to experiment with faster tempos and more broken rhythms, reaching into thrilling new sound fields where fast-slow rhythmic intrigue meets with spatial subtlety and constantly evolving synth voices. The past year has seen him release a swathe of albums, from Further on Samurai to outings on Constellation Tatsu, ESP Institute and Quiet Details that all burst with inspiration, each distinct from the last and offering an original perspective on this rich seam of crossover electronics.

Shadow Language shows Moeller burrowing even deeper into this new era of his work, continuing the hypnotic approach set out on Further while edging more forthright ingredients into the mix. From the outset 'Division By Zero' hits with immediacy even as it dips into a dubwise breakdown, with snatches of vocal and even the iconic loom bird making the slightest of appearances. 'Feral Hymn' finds a curious kind of uplift in the synth chord that twists in and out of the mental techno murmurations of the rhythm section. 'Impermanence' has some snarling bass that belongs in the gnarliest tech-step, while the nagging hats ticking through 'Junkyard Syntax' hint at a shockout without resorting to brute force. The majestic dub techno chords of 'Driftform' create a through-line across Moeller's extensive catalogue, but here they dominate the mix above a spongy bed of sub bass throb and framed by the tiniest slithers of percussion.

Throughout the album, it's the implications Moeller suggests with the tools at his disposal that create a powerful energy. Restraint governs the delivery, guiding the listener in deeper until they find a maximal experience from each elegantly understated roller. The weight and presence is abundant across every track, fuelled by the invigorating power of each tone and frequency while avoiding the clutter of overloaded arrangements.

Finding the notes in between and half-hidden rhythms, Moeller himself perfectly summed up his latest opus as he continues to develop his own compelling Shadow Language.

2024 repress

In February 2021, Jan Jelinek's seminal album "Loop-Finding-Jazz-Records" turned 20. The anniversary repress, a double LP with two bonus tracks (B-sides from the Tendency EP, 2000), is a little late to the party.

Siriusmo is back! His fourth album, "Buletten & Blumen", will be released in November 2025 – a collection of musical delicacies. Freshly prepared, spicy, and greasy, but as always with a flower on top. The Berlin-based producer, whose real name is Moritz Friedrich, remains true to himself and his distinctive style – between funk, hip-hop, electronica, soundtrack vibes, and genre playfulness. As usual, Siriusmo wanders through musical styles, embracing them, missing them spectacularly – or simply inventing them. A subtle "Berliner Allerlei". The artist himself says of his working method on the album: "I'm a whole band. Nobody masters their instrument, but everyone pretends to – always with the fear that the others will notice." The album begins with the tongue-in-cheek opener "That Could Function As A Song", an ironic exploration of the artist's own creative process. With "Buletten & Blumen," Siriusmo delivers not simple fare, but a multifaceted menu.

Paradise regained.
Vienna based artist and Bare Hands owner Sedvs makes his Unterwegs debut with a fierce four track EP. Following on from his debut LP Paradise Lost on Bare Hands, Sedvs delivers and expands on his unique style across four diverse, on-point techno killers.

Eliptic is back with the 8th release of the label, signed by the talented Romanian producer - Roban - with his Inglourious debut EP.

‘Overcome’ opens the A-side. A mysterious and meditative atmosphere that evolves into a hypnotic and timeless piece of music. ‘Inglourious’ is in the same note but with more playful rhythms and all manner of late night motifs.

Rhadoo (aka. Nea Marin) remix on B side is a techno hypnotizer, bringing a lush feel to the EP with his unique vision and memorable vibe. A veritable club weapon.

The sunshine of Andalucía has come to the Bordello. The musical magpie that is Daniel Monaco arrives with just a hint of a Spanish accent and a daring record under his arm. Known for finding the intersections of boogie, disco, italo and house, Monaco is going that bit further with Manuel Rodriguez for the Flamenca EP. Melting the percussive drive of his machines with the spirit of Southern Spain, the four tracks on offer are a journey into a sound and style that is inspiringly original. Ruffled hi-hats and smooth basslines are the foundation for the title piece. The soul of the Sierra Nevada and the warmth of Granada pour forth through Rodriguez’s unparalleled performance. The claps of Chicago are reimagined as an interplay of melody and rhythm awakens; the traditions of Flamenco married with a modern groove. Talent and technique are coupled with pure passion in the intense instrumentation of “Fantasia” before the flip shifts with “Sìnteme.” The culture of Italy and Spain combine, taut string plucks peppered in handclaps before the Only Bee’s vocals descend. Ardent, the lyrics tell of our shared humanity through the dialect of Ischitella from the southern tip of Italy. The homes of our musicians are the inspiration for the finale. Following the reissue of The Pocket of Fever, Ambient Sans presents the second chapter in Masahiro Sugaya’s visionary work for the avant-garde performing arts company Pappa TARAHUMARA.

Founded by Hiroshi Koike in 1982, Pappa TARAHUMARA blended dance, theater, music, and visual art into abstract, immersive stage worlds. Sugaya’s compositions became the sonic counterpart to this radical aesthetic—minimal yet deeply evocative, combining electronics, ambient textures, and delicate melodic gestures into a sound language both intimate and expansive.

Music From Alejo marks his first original stage score for the company: a work where repetition and silence intertwine with shimmering synthesizers and dreamlike motifs, conjuring atmospheres that feel suspended between reality and reverie. More structured than The Pocket of Fever yet equally poetic, the album reveals Sugaya’s gift for translating movement into sound, balancing modern composition with subtle echoes of Japanese tradition.

Reissued for the first time on vinyl, Music From Alejo includes a printed insert featuring an exclusive interview with the artist, alongside photographs from our visit to his home in Japan. Essential listening for anyone drawn to the ambient minimalism of Hiroshi Yoshimura, Midori Takada, or Brian Eno—reimagined here through the lens of Tokyo’s experimental scene of the 1980s.

For the tenth release on Rhythm Control Barcelona, we present something truly special: the debut of Not A Headliner presents José.
