10 years ago in 2015, The Golden Lion in Todmorden opened its doors under the guidance of Gig & Waka, Cloudwater brewed their first ever beers, the dance floors of Manchester got introduced to the world of Supernature Disco and from his spare room at home in Bolton Chris Massey started Sprechen.

What followed over the next decade has been a wild ride of amazing people, memorable (though fuzzy!) parties, creativity, art, expression, performance and at the centre of it all of course, the music.
Sprechen has never been one style or sound. A reflection of varied musical tastes without any limitations of style or genres, just a passion to share good music.
Over the last decade, Sprechen has been lucky enough to both work with and meet many like-minded cosmic creatives that share this mindset and that have all played a major role in the story.

Each track on “Anti-Planeting” carries a title that contributes to the overall narrative, revealing different aspects of the artist’s personal journey. Through these subtle feelings and intuitions, the album unfolds, gradually unveiling a complete puzzle that reflects the artist’s exploration and musical growth. “Anti-Planeting” is a fully realized album consisting of 8 tracks that emerged from these live experiments. The foundation of this project revolves around the use of live drums and percussion samples, which were then processed through an Electroharmonix 45000 looper and a Kaoss Pad II.

After 25 Years, DJ Wayne Ritchie's Legendary Lost Record Makes Its Return South London’s own DJ Wayne Ritchie. The two records he self-released in 2001 have long been out of reach, becoming legendary among vinyl diggers as elusive, sought-after gems. Now, four carefully selected tracks from those records have been remastered, ready to shake up today’s dance floors once again. Crafted with a 12-bit sampler, blending House and UKG into a unique, unmistakable groove, this sound is finally making its return—25 years later.

St. Odes emerges from the depths of Switzerland, born out of the friendship and shared sonic vision of Lb Honne and Ben Kaczor. Driven by a precise yet fearless approach to creative expression, the label embraces what they call “elegant punk” — a refusal to follow convention. While its roots lie in ambient, house, and techno, the focus remains singular: not on meaning, but on feeling.

After an 8 year hiatus, No Comply are back with a bang, serving up a true 'root and branch' release. Dubstep juggernauts N-Type and Kromestar pertain to the first part of that adage, providing a high pressure, melodic remix of Cloud Chamber.

Ever eager to feature new talent, No Comply turn to the talents of saxophonist, Jake Marlow. His stellar performance across the two tracks belies the fact of this being his vinyl debut.

Today, Manchester’s Maruja announce their highly anticipated debut album ‘Pain to Power’, due for release by Music For Nations on 12th September and produced by Samuel W Jones, who the band worked with on their three EPs to date. It began with a cassette tape entitled 'Pleased To Meet You' gifted to us at Sessa's Fasching, Stockholm show by Yann Dardenne, the multi-tasking tour manager/sound engineer/producer/merch stall worker and co-owner of Seloki Records. On first listen, the selection of underground Brazilian artists from the Seloki's roster was superb, however, one song stopped us in our tracks. The hauntingly captivating ' GOSTO MEIO DOCE' by Nina Maia and Francisca Barreto, gave us a taste of Nina's ethereal, addictive voice and we knew we needed to hear more. Born in Minas Gerais but now based in Sao Paulo, the 22-year-old has already packed a lot into a relatively short space of time. The singer, songwriter, instrumentalist, and producer, has already collaborated on the soundtracks for six Brazilian feature films, including a track with the vocalists Maria Gadu, Iza, and Liniker. But things enter a new exciting era with this, her remarkable debut album entitled 'INTEIRA', which translates to English as 'whole'.

As much inspired by Billie Eilish and Rosalia, as Milton Nascimento and Toninho Horta and not sounding like other records coming out of Brazil, 'INTEIRA' is unique. Though rich in its Brazilian heritage, inspired by samba cancao, MPB, and the Clube da Esquina movement, it also channels influence from bands such as Portishead and Massive Attack, mixed with jazz, contemporary leftfield and electronic pop artists. Musically, it is not easily pigeonholed, with beautiful, well-crafted songs, sophisticated arrangements, eloquent vocals and intimate lyrics. Each track reflects different moments and stories from Nina's youth but with dialogues, feelings, and questions that span generations and resonate with all. This ambitious debut album is Nina's vision and sound, expressing herself without constraints and making music with her friends. Featuring a lineup of Thalin (drums), Valentim Frateschi (bass), Francisca Barreto (cello and vocals), Thales Hashiguti (viola and violin), Yann Dardenne (acoustic guitar and co-producer) and Nina on piano, Rhodes, guitar and production. The album led to a nomination in Paulista Association of Art Critics (APCA) award's 'Breakthrough Artist' category, who also listed 'INTEIRA' as one of the 50 best albums of 2024.

It also received support from Bandcamp Weekly and Jamz Supernova on BBC 6 Music. Released digitally by Seloki Records in Brazil in 2024, Mr Bongo in partnership with Seloki Records now present this new, deluxe worldwide edition that includes four additional songs. These comprise the brand-new exquisite 'MANHA', as well as an original twist on Vinicius de Moraes' classic 'Serenata Do Adeus'. Elsewhere you'll find a live recording showcasing Nina's remarkable energy on stage courtesy of 'DE DENTRO' and 'GOSTO MEIO DOCE' with the amazing musician/vocalist Francisca Barreto, where our whole story began. Eclectic and genre-fluid, Whoosh is a masterful showcase of the expansive musical sensibilities of Vik Srinivasan—known as Vikmatic—and the finely tuned ear of co-producer and TSoNYC label head Danilo Braca. Drawing from a rich tapestry of sonic influences, the EP unfolds with effortless depth and elegance. Its title track opens with wistful spaciousness, unhurried in its approach, as layers of ambient texture float into view. Around the three-minute mark, a freeform trumpet—played by multi- instrumentalist, producer, and songwriter COULOU—enters like a gentle breeze, pairing seamlessly with a humblingly gorgeous vocal from indie pop artist Rén with the Mane. Her voice, set cool and weightless amid the atmospheric array, anchors the track in emotional resonance

In contrast, “Dream” quickens the pulse. It opens with a crisp hand drum before giving way to a forceful Italo rhythm and driving synths. The return of the meandering trumpet offers a warm counterbalance—a humanizing thread weaving through the escalating sonic tension. 


“Jungle” follows with a playful sense of experimentation, placing the trumpet at center stage. It’s accompanied by a whimsically off-kilter selection of textures: crisp, deliberate percussion; a brooding electric guitar line courtesy of the ever-versatile Alvise Marino (aka Al-Veez); lush retro synth glides; and

The EP closes with “We Should Go,” where Rén with the Mane returns in more earthly form. Her vocals drift in and out between acid burbles and Italo arpeggiations, both intoxicating and charged with quiet urgency. It’s a fitting finale—elevated yet grounded, dreamy yet directive.

No detours, no hesitation — just raw analog power locking into a loop with magnetic tension. The groove builds steadily, shifting your state of mind as the rhythm takes hold. “Anyway” brings a dreamy, bittersweet touch. Exclusive to vinyl, this extended version unfolds like a teenage memory you never shared — warm, nostalgic, somewhere between electro and pop, glowing softly from within. “Colored Life” dives into detailed minimal deep house territory. Rounded and generous, its sound design sculpts soft clouds of melodies against crisp, syncopated snares — floating between dream and presence, like a cushion made of rhythm and light. “Porte de la Villette 45” echoes the EP’s birthplace — a raw area near the Parisian périphérique, where engines roar, people hustle, and concrete weighs heavy. Yet within this urban friction stands Studio Villette 45 — a funky, soulful shelter where the machines find their groove. The record closes on “Cœur” (heart in French) — a stripped-down, heartfelt outro. Just a Prophet 5 pad, no tricks. WE THE NORTH is Swedish musician Johan Hansson who has been active in the dark electronic music since the early 2000’s with his project Cyanide, then Unitary, and also exploring dark metal with his project Mondocane. Johan defines his music created in WE THE NORTH as Nordic Noir “with an intentional and deliberate blending of the old with the new a melancholic hopefulness is created from the dark seasons of life in Scandinavia.”

“Love + Death” is WE THE NORTH’s fourth album and the first on NADANNA after contributing a remix of Tobias Bernstrup’s track “Private Eye” in 2021. The songs on “Love + Death” are birds of a feather, brimming over with melancholy and melody, yet driven by a hammering sixteenth note synth bass and sounds from the Roland TR-707 drum machine, and melancholic lyrics in English or Swedish.

Harap-Alb is the first full-length album by Articulat, following a trilogy of EPs (two released on vinyl) and previous appearances on Rotterdam’s Afrobotic Musicology label. This new project deepens Articulat’s commitment to narrative-rich electronic music — blending structure, rhythm, and texture to evoke both dancefloor tension and cinematic storytelling.

“This album began as a personal exploration—an attempt to deconstruct a story that has been familiar to me since childhood and reimagine it through sound. I first encountered Harap Alb as a crackling, timeworn radio play on vinyl, and its atmosphere has lingered with me ever since. This is my way of keeping that story alive—not by preserving it in amber but by passing it forward in a different form, hoping it resonates in a new way.”

Perhaps, years from now, someone will discover this record the same way I found the original. And in doing so, they too will add their own craft and love to the tale.

Originally released to little fanfare and long overlooked until its Archeo reissue in 2019, his 1988 debut LP Kaunis Maa is a masterwork of Balearic ethno-jazz - a guitar-led journey through imagined geographies and dreamt-up dialects. Its closing track, Passeggera, pairs Mediterranean nylon with synth halos, sampled percussion, and the unplaceable vocals of Matia Bazar’s Antonella Ruggiero, singing not in language but in emotion. Now, Claremont 56’s Paul Murphy aka Mudd lends his gentle hand to the piece, reworking its al fresco fusion into something even more languorous. Highlighting the South American sway hinted at in the original, Mudd introduces jazzy synth flourishes, airy percussion, and occasional organ bass, casting the piece anew as a hammock-swung hymn - less a remix than a relocation, from the hills of Lazio to the lush gardens of Mudd’s imagination.

Toronto/Berlin producer and Big Trouble Records founder Andre Zimmer has emerged as one of house and techno’s hottest commodities, fresh off his scorching fabric Records release with Carlita. Now he joins DJ Tennis’s Life and Death label with the announcement of his 4-track Kwon Anthem EP, out September 19.

Arriving alongside the announcement is the lead single “Hypnotizing” — a piano-driven, ethereal cut that highlights Zimmer’s ability to channel rave nostalgia into shimmering, emotive house designed for peak dance floor moments.

The EP also features the standout track “That’s Right”, which has already been making waves across clubs worldwide. With early support from Peggy Gou, Jennifer Loveless, Massimilliano Pagliara, Alinka, Jorkes, Luigi Di Venere, and more — including rotations at Panorama Bar and viral fan videos from Bella and beyond — it’s quickly becoming one of Zimmer’s most in-demand productions.

Bad Brains is the self-titled debut studio album recorded by American hardcore punk/reggae band Bad Brains. Recorded in 1981 and released on (then) cassette-only label ROIR on February 5, 1982, many fans refer to it as "The Yellow Tape" because of it's yellow packaging. Though Bad Brains had recorded the 16 song Black Dots album in 1979 and the 5-song Omega Sessions EP in 1980, the ROIR cassette was the band's first release of anything longer than a single. The release includes the original liner notes by Ira Kaplan of Yo La Tengo. This reissue marks the second release in the remaster campaign on the band's own Bad Brains Records imprint with Org Music. In coordination with the band, Org Music has overseen the restoration and remastering of the iconic Bad Brains' recordings. The audio was mastered by Dave Gardner at Infrasonic Mastering.

More than once Jay Richford and Gary Stevan’s Feelings has been described as the greatest library record ever released. Of course Be With can’t be seen to be playing favourites, but we have to admit, it’s pretty good. Insanely rare and immensely sought-after, it’s a tough funk, street jazz masterpiece coveted for many years by collectors of all musical genres.

Since its original release on Italian label Carosello in 1974, Feelings has appeared on several labels with different sleeves and even under a different artist. Indeed cult library label Conroy put it out in one of their iconic red sleeves in 1976 and yes, Feelings has indeed had more than one modern re-issue since these “original” releases. But a record this special deserves to be kept in press and we think it deserves the Be With treatment.

No, Jay Richford and Gary Stevan aren’t two of the most Italian sounding names. As the story goes these were the pseudonyms adopted by Stefano Torossi and Giancarlo Gazzani who wrote the album but couldn’t use their real names on the original release for legal reasons. But Stefano Torossi himself later both clarified and confused the tale further by explaining that Feelings was the work of four people not just Gazzani and himself. Fellow composers and musicians Sandro Brugnolini and Puccio Roelens also worked on the album and as Torossi himself explained “we all worked together”, with all four gents “dividing the royalties in equal parts… that’s the story.” Right, so, with that all sorted out let’s get back to talking about the music. And what music it is.

Long hailed as a holy grail of library music, Feelings is the epitome of the sort of cinematic orchestral jazzy funk that is “that 70s library music sound”. Infectiously funky, deliciously melodic and with impeccible, elegant production, this record is the showcase for a stunning set of compositions and arrangements and with performances that are nothing short of virtuoso.

The record’s first side lifts off with “Flying High”, soaring brilliant and shimmering. Funk licks, menacing strings and swaggering horns combine for an ice-cold intro groove that Isaac Hayes would surely have envied, before the steady-paced drums deliver the slo-mo TKO. The string-drenched cop-funk of “Going Home” raises the tempo. All funky quick-fire bass lines and killer electric guitar soloing. A real thriller.

“Walking In The Dark” positively drips in blaxploitation-funk drama strings and horn struts, all laced with delicate drums, velvet piano and more filthy wah-wah. “Fighting For Life” is another funk-fuelled workout built around an effortlessly relentless drum track that refuses to give up until even the stiffest-necked head is nodding.

The loping, open drum break that guides the much-loved “Feeling Tense” through its early stages would be good enough on its own. The heavy bass gloss, swirling strings and ominous horns that follow take things to the next level.

The second side opens with another favourite “Running Fast”, and the track does precisely that. This is one fine rollicking chase theme underpinned by frenetic (yet funky) Fender Rhodes and skipping bass and drums. Those sweeping strings are a gorgeous extra. It’s a deliciously feel-good groove that sets the heart racing.

“Loving Tenderly” envelops us in warm, velvety night-time vibes with easy listening horns and slinky strings dialing up the seduction. Definitely one for the lithe lovers out there. The pace picks up on the electrifying “Fearing Much” where strings dart around deep bass, buzzing guitars and another funky drum break. The lush, melancholic “Being Friendly” is another easy beauty, all warm Rhodes and strings. Majestic stuff that puts an aural arm around you. The climactic “Having Fun” rides a pulsating, bass-heavy drum break with snatches of a funky guitar refrain, some luxurious keys, sweeping strings and triumphant horns. Sensational.

Federation JI is the new project from Icelandic producer Felix Leifur and Japanese artist Daichi Saito. Known for his house, electro, and techno releases, Felix stepped away from the club circuit to challenge himself creatively, diving into live instruments and a wider range of songwriting. Over two years, he explored a palette shaped by ’70s/’80s jazz-funk and ’90s experimental rock, inspired by his dad’s old Japanese pressings and a love for exploratory sounds.

A chance meeting with Daichi in Copenhagen revealed a hidden thread of Japanese infl uence in the music, leading to a close collaboration. Daichi’s shimmering synths and textured keys reshaped the songs, adding a futuristic, dreamlike layer to Felix’s heavy grooves and emotive guitar work.

The album moves through slow-burning funk, cinematic textures, dreamy Rhodes melodies, and bursts of ’90s rock energy, balancing playful moments with deep, nostalgic undertones. From the warped guitar loops of Digital Súpa to the organ-driven drift of Sálmar & Suð, Federation JI is a conversation between two distinct musical worlds.

The result is something unexpected: Japanese/Icelandic future funk, soaked in atmosphere, groove, and emotion.

if we think about what's the best italo disco label considering the number of release and success, Hole Records would be on the top three of each italo disco lover. Aimed by Mikki Chieregato and Roberto Turatti, every single release on the label is a gem. Joe Yellow, Den Harrow or Stylóo started an succesfull carreer on the label but also Fred Ventura. He was the vocalist of Flexxy-Ball. Produced by Chieregato and Turatti and bring it to light at the Manlio Cangelli studio Love Theme From Flexxy-Ball, Love Theme from Flexxy-Ball is a record that can be missed in any italo shelf.

Montreal duo Flabbergast—aka Guillaume Coutu Dumont and Vincent Lemieux—return to Circus Company, the label where it all began with their debut EP in 2015. Now seasoned veterans of leftfield club experimentation, they deliver Weirdo Active, a two-track vinyl release that distills their signature
blend of groove, absurdity, and refined weirdness.
On the A-side, “Timecrowave” is a swung, syncopated burner built around fragmented drum programming, warbled synth textures, and subtly detuned atmospheres. It's a tool that thrives in the inbetween moments of a set—unpredictable yet fluid.
On the B-side “Serpentoute,” a slinky groove laced with dubwise processing and modular squelch, maintaining tension through micro-edits and playful FX. Perfect for after-hours transitions or more openminded floors.
Following standout releases on Yoyaku, Copier/Coller, and Chapelle XVI, Flabbergast continue to offer up dance music that’s deeply heady, subtly unhinged, and always full of intent. A finely sculpted dose of dancefloor surrealism—just the way Flabbergast likes it.

On Biotope, Valentino Mora ventures even further from the dancefloor, delving into a rich, psychoacoustic realm shaped by modular and spectral synthesis. Built primarily around the Rossum Panharmonium, a module that analyzes and re-synthesizes audio into evolving harmonic clusters in real time, the album conjures an imagined ecosystem, where sound behaves with the logic and fluidity of organic life. Eschewing traditional field recordings, Mora instead sculpts textures and gestures that feel deeply natural yet are entirely synthetic. Inspired by elements such as soil composition, air, humidity, light, temperature, and the chemical properties of both land and aquatic environments and the living creatures that inhabit them, the soundscapes emerge as a kind of sonic biology. The result is a collection of slow-moving, tension-laden compositions that blur the boundaries between physical sensation and abstract design. Biotope unfolds like a closed ecosystem: modular synthesis treated as a breathing entity, shaped by resonance, friction, and organic motion. It embodies a kind of mystical biology, where textures mimic living forms, and frequencies pulse with intent. This is music to be felt as much as heard, Biotope invites you to listen with your skin, not just your ears.

Sex Tapes From Mars sister imprint, Hot Plates turns to junglist misbehaving, with chopped and screwed, pitched down and twitchin’ vocals, merging with ragga choruses. It’s hardwired to the dance but swerving every expectation - soulful chants spiral out like smoke in UV, tangled in a fever dream of gun finger pressure and rewound fragments.

The flip is driven by a deep, bellowing bassline, paired with ominous yet soaring strings. Each part contradicts the next, but somehow it holds, glued together with that early jungle lawlessness. Still sounds raw, still sounds vital - as grittily dangerous now as it was in ‘93.

The original release came as a limited white label 32 years ago, now grailed and silly bob on ‘cogs, lovingly remastered and cut loud, restoring the bite while adding clarity and bottom-end heft that rattles ribs.

With the planet in free fall and the dance scattered, the sentiment hits harder: “All we need now is love and unity”.

The Knowledge Imprint 'Selected Reissues' series brings together handpicked tracks from the label's back catalogue to be pressed for the first time on high quality vinyl. Previously available only as digital and small-batch dubplate editions, these tracks will also be given new life with fresh remastering and simple repackaging.

This second release of the edition brings together a collection of standout tracks that have been highly requested on vinyl since their initial releases between 5 and 7 years ago. Yant & William Arist's tracks were the foundation of the 10th label release back in 2020, while label-owner Deano's track 'Tension' was largely responsible for putting the label on the radar in 2018. VIL's 'Golpe de Estado' taken from the label's first VA back in 2019 closes the package.

King Street Sounds return for the fifth sampler in the series. This release showcases four releases from six house music aficionados such as Mood II Swing, DJ Romain, Jon Cutler, Studio Apartment, Quentin Harris and Pal Joey under his Loop Trick guise.

The EP opens with New York duo Mood II Swing’s “Driving Me Crazy” originally released in 1995 and still sounds as good now, 30 years later. Up next is DJ Romain & Jon Cutler with De Ja Vu (Mr.V Roots Main Mix) featuring Jeannie Hopper delivering a mesmerizing vocal. This one’s built for those dim lit rooms.

Kicking things off on the B side is “Beat Freak” (The Shelter Dub) by Loop Trick (otherwise known as Pal Joey). An already outstanding record got a distinguished touch up from New York house legends Blaze.

Drawing this wonderful EP to a close is Studio Apartment featuring Terrance Downs with “We Are Lonely” (Quentin Harris Vocal Mix). The NYC legend adds his deft touch to the Japanese duo’s soulful offering.

2025 marks the 50th anniversary of Led Zeppelin’s iconic sixth album, and their first double LP, Physical Graffiti.

To celebrate this landmark, Led Zeppelin will release an updated 50th Anniversary edition of 2015’s Physical Graffiti Deluxe Edition 3LP vinyl set, on 180g black vinyl, still featuring the Companion Audio disc, and now including a new bonus replica Physical Graffiti promotional poster (sized 443mm x 610mm).

Released on February 24, 1975 in the US (and four days later in the UK), Physical Graffiti immediately achieved platinum sales status and has recently been certified 17x platinum in the United States.

The Golden State Recorders LP that Leo Kulka cut on Jeanette Jones in 1969 lives on, despite being undiscovered until this millennium. With the funkier end of the soul spectrum becoming more in vogue in recent years, ‘You’d Be Good For Me’ comes into its own as a perfect dance track for several current scenes. Co-written by Jeanette with the distinguished Gerry Goffin and Barry Goldberg, the song and production are exemplary – this 45 rpm release is well-earned.

We’ve grabbed the chance to reactivate ‘Cut Loose’ from the same sessions, as the original Kent 45 release now fetches a couple of hundred quid. With legendary 100 Club DJ Butch now spinning it from a recently acquired original acetate, it will only gain more interest among rare soul fans.
