Die schwedische Industrial-Kultband DEATHSTARS meldet sich mit ihrem neuesten Output "Everything Destroys You" endlich zurück.
Verstärkte Angst, zerstörerische urbane Partynächte, Dystopie und glatter Glamour - ihr vielfältiges musikalisches Spektrum reicht von elektrischen, blitzschnellen Highways voller Spaß, Action und Adrenalin bis hin zu Dunkelheit und tiefschwarzem Humor.

Voice Magnetic by Hainbach is the enigmatic Berlin based artist’s sonic diary of 2022. On his sixth release on Seil Records, Stefan Goetsch collages the sounds he made and the ones that surrounded him over the course of twelve months into a powerfully intimate ambient experience.

In his studio or on travels — Hainbach always is working on new material and allows the locations he records his tracks in to find their way into the music. Consequently, on many tracks you can can hear the outside bleeding in — seagulls and waves on "Izmir", the voices of his children while record the piano or the sirens of Neukölln’s police cars in background.

The connecting threads between these pieces are magnetic tape and the human voice — hiss and breath. The result are 15 immersive ambient pieces that make up Voice Magnetic. Often short like the moments that spark them. Fading and intricate, honest and pure.

Based out of Berlin, Germany, electro-acoustic music composer and performer Hainbach creates shifting audio landscapes, using esoteric synthesizers, nuclear test equipment, magnetic tape and a collection of idiophones. Hainbach has become known for his immersive live shows and an unique sound that is both abstract yet very much a corporal experience. Otherworldly and intimate, raw and heartfelt. On his wildly popular YouTube channel, Hainbach shares his love for experimental music techniques and his passion for forgotten machines with a wide audience. Multi-Award winning, hugely influential musician Feist returns with Multitudes, her sixth solo album and first since 2017’s Pleasure.

Multitudes was produced by Feist with longtime collaborators Robbie Lackritz (The Weather Station, Bahamas, Robbie Robertson) and Mocky (Jamie Lidell, Vulfpeck, Kelela). Blake Mills (Bob Dylan, Fiona Apple, Perfume Genius) and Joseph Lorge came in to mix, with Mills as a co-producer in the final stages.

Multitudes took shape soon after the birth of her daughter and sudden death of her father, a back-to-back convergence of life-altering events that left the Canadian singer/songwriter with “Nothing performative in me anymore.” As she cleansed her songwriting of any tendency to obscure unwanted truths, Feist slowly made her way toward a batch of songs rooted in a raw and potent realism which is touched with otherworldly beauty.

Largely written and workshopped during an intensely communal experimental show of the same name through 2021 and 2022, the songs on Multitudes developed in parallel with and were deeply influenced by the mutuality of the unconventional experience. The production, developed by Feist with legendary designer Rob Sinclair (David Byrne’s American Utopia, Peter Gabriel, Tame Impala) was formulated to bring people together as they re-emerged from lockdown while providing an outlet for connection between artist, art, and community.

Der US-amerikanische Gitarrist Ralph Towner nimmt seit Anfang der 70er Jahre für ECM auf und hat mit seinen Alben ein einzigartiges Gesamtwerk geschaffen. Im Mittelpunkt seines Schaffens stehen seine Soloaufnahmen, von denen die erste, Diary, vor 50 Jahren veröffentlicht wurde. At First Light setzt diese große Tradition fort und schöpft Inspiration aus einer breiten musikalischen Palette. ”Meine Soloaufnahmen haben immer auch eigene Kompositionen enthalten, in denen sich Spuren der vielen Komponisten und Musiker finden, die mich über die Jahre begeistern konnten”, schreibt Towner in dem CD-Begleittext und nennt unter anderem den Einfluss von George Gershwin, John Coltrane, John Dowland und Bill Evans:

Behind Closed Doors, das dritte Studioalbum der englischen Hardrockband Thunder, wurde 1994 veröffentlicht und erreichte bei seiner Veröffentlichung Platz 5 der britischen Albumcharts. Damit festigte die Band ihren Ruf als eine der besten Rockbands von den
britischen Inseln. Drei UK Top 40 Singles wurden daraus ausgekoppelt: Stand Up, River Of Pain und Castles In The Sand.

Produziert wurde das Album von Gitarrist Luke Morley und dem langjährigen Mixer Mike Fraser, wobei alle Bandmitglieder sowie der ehemalige Produzent und Duran Duran-Gitarrist Andy Taylor Beiträge lieferten. Das Album gilt unter Fans der Band und des Hard Rock

His latest outing ‘Teletext’ EP for London based record label ​Lobster Theremin ​explores deep all things bass driven, head high rave breaks sit on top of euphoric vocals and synth patterns, creating a feel good masterpiece. Tim joins forces with long time friend & collaborator ​Devnull​ on two tracks, blending both of the producers individual sounds into a hybrid mash up, which works oh so good.

Die Nacht kann aber auch schön sein wenn die Sterne durch das Blätterdach aufblitzen wie in "Callisto Moon". Die Musik katapultiert die Zuhörer in verschiedene Welten, wobei auch die Texte diese verdeutlichen. Hierbei werden nicht nur Fernöstliche Weisheiten als Inspration genutzt, sondern auch Gedankenspiele die eine postapokalyptische Welt erahnen lassen sowie Träume die an den Rand der Unendlichkeit erinnern. Wir hören eine gereifte Band die im Songwriting sucht, ausprobiert und verschiedene Einflüsse auf einem Fundament des Grooves und straighten Rocks balanciert. Die Aufnahmen fanden grundsätzlich nach 22 Uhr statt.

Den Hungaro-Amerikaner Gábor Szabó konnte man mit Fug und Recht als einen wahren “Scorcerer”, also Zauberer oder Hexenmeister bezeichnen. Nicht nur wegen seiner Virtuosität an der Gitarre und seiner fantasievollen Improvisationen, sondern auch, weil er es verstand, Popsongs in echte Jazzschmuckstücke zu verwandeln.
Das zeigte er besonders eindrucksvoll 1967 auf “The Sorcerer”, live im Bostoner Jazz Workshop eingespielt. Das Repertoire reflektierte, was damals hip war: eine Bossa Nova von Roberto Menescal, ein
Top-10-Hit von Sonny & Cher und ein Stück des französischen Filmkomponisten Francis Lai.

NY. Es enthält die einzige bekannte Soundboard-Aufnahme mit Mark St. John. ”Young And Wasted” und ”Rock And Roll All Nite” sind leider unvollständige Aufnahmen, aber aufgrund der historischen Bedeutung dieser Show mit Mark ist zu hoffen, dass jeder genauso abrocken wird wie sie es getan haben.

The gentle music and quiet nostalgia of some of the most exquisitely beautiful poetry ever written flows through Hélène Grimaud’s latest album, a tribute to the Ukrainian composer Valentin Silvestrov. Together with baritone Konstantin Krimmel, winner of the 2018 International Helmut Deutsch Lied Competition, Grimaud presented extracts from Silvestrov’s song-cycle Silent Songs at the Stienitzsee Turbine Hall near Berlin last August, in the presence of the octogenarian composer, who has lived in Berlin as an exile from his war-torn homeland since March 2022.

Der erste stammt von einem Auftritt in FZs Lieblings-Nachtclub in NYC - dem berühmten Mudd Club. Die Aufnahme basiert auf einem hochauflösenden Transfer des OriginalMasterbands. Die zweite Aufnahme entstand in der Olympiahalle in München und ist die erste LiveStereoaufnahme von Zappa, die direkt digitalisiert wurde. Das Mastering stammt von Bernie Grundman, 2022. Fotografien und Memoiren sind von George Alper, mit Linernotes von Arthur Barrow, Steve Vai, Vaultmeister Joe Travers.
