New Order are proud to announce the release of TOTAL from Joy Division to New Order on vinyl. Originally released in June 2011 on CD, TOTAL from Joy Division to New Order will be available on vinyl for the very first time on 30th November 2018.

Featuring single versions of tracks from both Joy Division and New Order mastered for vinyl by Frank Arkwright from his 2011 remasters. The iconic album cover was created by Howard Wakefield with art direction from Peter Saville.

TOTAL contains New Order's UK Top 10 singles Blue Monday, True Faith, Regret and the Number 1 single World in Motion along with classic Joy Division tracks Love Will Tell Us Apart, Transmission, She's Lost Control and Atmosphere.

New Order head out on tour in November. Playing their only UK show of 2018 at London's Alexandra Palace before dates in Mexico, Chile, Argentina and Brazil.

Maschinenbau Was A Label Run By Djscud From Ambush And Nomex From Adverse Which Released Only Two 7's In 1997/98. The First, Eurostar/piling Machine, Was Limited To Just 300 Copies. It Combined Psychogeographical Exploration And Field Recordings With Amiga-produced Non-conformist Breakcore And Noise-abuse, While The Second One, Total Destruction, Became A Classic Of Breakcore / Noise Crossover With Several Appearances On Compilations Such As Collision Drive On Pias (compiled By Kevin Martin, Aka The Bug), But Nevertheless Fell Into Relative Obscurity - Like Most Of The Great Early Breakcore - During The Following Decade. Listening Back One Can Only Be Astounded By The Raw Energy And Urgency Of These Tracks.
Twenty Years After The Original 7's, Praxis Is Proudly Releasing A 12' With All Four Original Tracks In October 2018 With The Catalogue Number Praxis 56.

You may remember the closing of Space, Ibiza with Carl Cox when he played a bootleg of Total Confusion.
Barry Obzee Hobbs (Rising High A&R) spent a lot of time trying to locate the Remixer and finally did a few months ago. We have now signed the remix which will be released on vinyl in May and on digital in July. The story goes like this: Carl Cox has been playing the version at most of his shows including Tomorrow Land, Kappa Future Fest and Timewarp ( see video clip below) but this is where the story becomes more interesting. The Remixer, ROD Malmok from Rotterdam aka Benny Rodriguez, who is a very established DJ Producer playing for Loco Dice in Ibiza etc and releasing on Ben Klock's imprint Klockwork, Chris Liebing's imprint CLR, Adam Beyer's imprint Drumcode and many more was inspired to remix the track through a conversation with Dubfire, Rod gave him a rough copy the following day. He played it to Carl Cox at Space, Ibiza and Cox begged him for a copy - see video below
If you've been around the scene for a while you will know that Rising High Records was one of the first labels to shape Techno, Hardcore and Breakbeat in the UK and was huge!

After the success of Gti008 8ball is back with another jungle excursion, although this time they have gone for the more smoother side of the genre. On the flip side is a complete reworking from the house legend that is MR G. After pumping the parts through his MPC, MR G has put a hard breaky house dub together, which should hit the mark with a lot of people.

8Ball's sound has been picking up momentum over the last year with a sell out cassette, vinyl EP and plenty of plays on soundcloud and other digital outlets.

TOTAL compilation series hardly needs an introduction: we rummage through the Kompakt releases to select our favorites from the past year that reflect our best and unsaid tracks, compiled and packaged as a cohesive whole.

Keeping up a good old TOTAL tradition, we also planted brandnew material from core artists and friends - check out exclusive tracks such as MICHAEL MAYER's aptly named ACTION, an absolutely rinsing acid cracker, or MATIAS AGUAYO's stellar KOMM, sitting comfortably among his best and most stirring work to date. Meanwhile, JÜRGEN PAAPE drops silky, atmospheric synth pads on EDEN and THE MODERNIST teams up with Hot Chip's JOE GODDARD for the pop-infused THE PRICE OF LOVE. Another highlight is the debut release from exciting newcomer LAKE TURNER: BEACON FIELDS is a misty- eyed, melancholic piece focussing on exquisite electronic textures and sweeping melodies.

As with previous TOTAL installments, we collect these exclusives on a separate 2xLP edition, but like to add a handful of cuts that can only be found on the vinyl version - for TOTAL 16, these include ALEX UNDER's LLAMAN A LA PUERTA, a densely layered, slow-paced synth jam that makes for a inspired detour from the propulsive, lean beats the Spanish producer has become known for. SWEET 100 present a masterfully crafted study in hypnotic minimalism on SIX, while VOIGT & VOIGT hark back to the pounding, sensual abrasiveness of early Auftrieb releases on DENKEN SIE LAUT, crossbred with the tongue-in-cheek gloom of the brothers' later, more psychedelic offerings.

Bound Adam' is the first in a series of reissues by American artist Elysia Crampton (f.k.a. E&E) for Total Stasis record label. Originally self-released in 2011 as digital files, this is its first vinyl pressing. Its three tracks are an ode to the artist's Ford Ranger. 2011 is also the year Ford discontinued the Ranger line. As Crampton says, "it is a speculative/ontological poem about a relationship with a car."

More recently, Daydream Nation has been recognized as a classic of its time: Pitchfork ranked it #1 on their '100 Greatest Albums of the 1980s'; Spin listed it at #13 on their '125 Best Albums of 1985-2010'; Rolling Stone put it at #45 on their '100 Best Albums of the Eighties' list and #328 on their '500 Greatest Albums of All Time.' It was one of 50 recordings chosen by the Library of Congress to be added to the National Recording Registry in 2006. 2007 saw the release of an expanded four-disc vinyl box set, but now the album is back in its original form after years of being out of print and highly sought after. Gabber Eleganza was born as a curated blog archive in 2011, an open research about rave subcultures mainly focused on the gabber and post-rave aestethic. The central ambition of the web archive was to become a source of research material on different topics: contemporary folklore, suburban euphoria and post-rave phenomena, revaluing a denigrated subculture through a new cultural lens.Over the years, the magnitude of the project has reached individuals far beyond the hardcore scene. Alberto Guerrini, the Italy and Berlin based founder, has since taken his project offline by producing zines, radio podcasts and garments. He currently tours as a DJ act or with a live performance dubbed The Hakke Show - an old-skool rave/hardcore DJ set with gabber dancers performing onstage: fast, air cutting moves, powerful thanks to their primitive intensity.In the past year Guerrini has brought the Hakke show to festivals: Club to Club (Turin), Resonate (Belgrade), performed as a DJ alongside Lorenzo Senni (Warp Records) and toured cities including Oval Space in London, Niebo in Warsaw, Janus/Berghain in Berlin, Ex Dogana in Rome, Empty Gallery in Hong Kong, etc. Guerrini has hosted radio shows on three London stations: RinseFM, NTS and Radar Radio.

Side A opens with the vinyl debut of Rani G & Raul Riena's 'Feels So Right' (World-Life-music Raw Teaser remix), which will soon transfix the floor while the driving groove of Hot Issue's 'Motion 96' is a cool vibe with wet clasp and dusty drums brought to life by cute little melodies and plenty of snap. Side B leans into deeper territory with Mercedes' Living For The Moment (Booker T remix)' and the uplifting dub energy of Never Gonna Give Up. If you like soulful house with a classic New York edge, this one bangs.

'Music aged in time, resonating from the surface to the core through layers and sediments of stones - the strata. Four morning recording sessions with a separation between them of between three and ten months - a chronozone that will rest for a time and on which the next one will be added, thus forming the total of the six pieces of the album - becoming six strata.

On Last Night At Marienbad's latest, the imprint brings together three of the brightest souls found within the realms of Jazz, namely Mauricesax, 9ick and Milan93, with their collective talents synergising effortlessly on 'A Garden Between Us', alongside a stellar cast of remixers who add even further delight between the grooves….

As a genre, Jazz has perhaps lent itself the most to other musical universes, in that its curious heart, endlessly experimental nature, and parameter-defying spirit have wrapped itself deep within the core of countless albums, scenes, and music makers. It's a genre that welcomes reinvention, consistently defying its contents and always reaching out to find new methods of expressionism. Electronic music, in its many forms, has truly embraced Jazz perhaps like no other movement of music has, with a truly astonishing array of records surfacing in the past 40 years which have blended Jazz's unique motifs with grooves, chords, and emotive excellence. From 90s Jazz house and UR Techno, through to Future Jazz, downtempo, and Hip Hop, and around many other suns, there remains such an intrinsic and symbiotic relationship between the two musical realms that caters to those who wish to live music both within and out with themselves.

As practitioners of blending electronica and Jazz, few do it like the trio of Mauricesax, 9ick, and Milan93. All three are known for their distinctive soundscapes, yet share commonalities in terms of musical language, feel, and sense of progression. Bringing them together allows for overlaps in their sounds to emerge, and just like Jazz itself, this is where the intrinsicness of sound begins to blossom. 9ick brings his softly evolving vibe to the table, one which was so prevalent and celebrated on his 2025 album 'SMIL'; Milan93 draws from his focal point of exploring fill-laden grooves and a myriad of emotive sensibilities; and Mauricesax draws up his extensive musicality that exists at the corner of jazz, electronic, and experimental music, along with running musical workshops all over the globe.

'A Garden Between Us' represents the trio's core tenets, with this immediately obvious from the record's opener, 'Rhodora'. A gentle solo piano quickly evolves into a series of powerful rhythmic pulses, with brass lines bringing vitality and feel to proceedings. The track shifts gears with purpose, transitioning between musical vignettes of the highest order, with the synth work doing much to bind the transitions together. 'Tulip' emerges slightly differently, with glossy Rhodes tones and an unravelling rhythmic undercurrent setting an enthralling stage. The track flourishes amongst sweeping textures, coming up for air amongst a deeply hypnotic rhythmic section that holds on and never lets up. 'Honeysuckle' lands next, which sees the trio emerge with a boundless, dynamic soundscape. The drums shift within the undertones, as keys, chords, horns and hip-hop vocal samples dance around the pulse, capturing the imagination with their narrative-like placement. Wrapping up the A side comes 'Camellia'. A dazzling array of harmonic sounds converges around the transfixing rhythm section, which emerges from deep below to lavishly roll out over the midsection, with the delicateness of the instrumentation a real highlight here.

The B side features two exquisite remixes, with Pacific Coliseum's version of 'Tulip' landing first. Beginning with a signature four to the floor to get things going, his careful handling of the source material is seen in the tactful introduction of the blissful elements that made the original cut so impactful, with great focus placed on emotive fidelity. The result is a summer-bound house number that reimagines the original in all the right ways, flipping it into a euphoria-driven jazz-laden pacer that reaches for the heavens as much as it drives right into the heart. Teuteu then showcases their take on 'Honeysuckle', and at 9 minutes long, represents the longest cut on the record - and the experience is all the richer for it. Leaning heavily into dance music flavours, Teuteu shifts perspective totally into the realm of the club, with the walls beating hard to the kicks. The sax lines that drift ethereally up top keep eyes closed and souls full, as the dance shifts into the next phase.

An experience that drifts from the daydreaming, to soul-warming through to the club shaking - what else is left to experience, except for 'A Garden Between Us' and how it will brighten up life itself….

The almighty Joe of the Farr’s is a highly accomplished UK techno DJ, producer and mastering engineer. Originally associated with Bristol's electronic music scene, Joe studied TV and film sound design before building a solid reputation through hard-hitting, technically sophisticated techno releases on labels including Turbo, DSNT, Bloc, Soma and Power Vacuum. His concentrated output combines aggressive club-focused rhythms with melodic and IDM-inspired elements. Now based in Wales, performing internationally and on home turf, he also operates a professional mastering engineering operation of the highest esteem of which RIOT could simply not operate without, as many others will gladly attest too.

Continuing with the ‘Limited As Fuck’ series of releases, on our fiercely independent techno label based in Scotland, we’ve finally let loose the screamer of a release, from such an integral member of RIOT HQ, that’s been patiently ‘Left Alone’ and waiting for the right time to unleash its User Experience. Joe’s totally went one step beyond and cranked out a pressure filled release of not only persistent anthemic prowess but one of such rigorous determination, all those on the dance floor MUST ‘Obey’ to its diligent beats. And with Rant & Rave Records boss Maedon serving up such an iconoclastic relentless remix, you will absolutely need to submit complicitly to all things RIOT.

"The Whole Of The Moon" is a classic. It's a song about awe and hope and love for the people who show us the best of this often broken world, the blessed few who show the way and introduce us to things and thoughts. Keith McIvor aka JD Twitch of Optimo was one of those people, and this version of the track - electronic, euphoric, open-hearted - was made by some members of the broader Optimo community after his terminal brain cancer diagnosis in 2025. The task of making a version that could've been heard on the dance floor at Planet Peach, Mas, or the Sub Club on a Sunday night or Monday morning brought them together across oceans, an act of joy amidst so much loss. It was never intended to be released, but as it made its way to friends and others, it also felt wrong not to. One of the most popular and notorious of all British hardcore acts, the Exploited were formed on a dire Edinburgh council estate in 1978 by singer Terry Buchan and guitarist Stevie Ross, although Buchan’s brother Wattie would soon become leader and the lineup seldom stayed stable. Influenced by the Pistols, they built their large working class and skinhead following through an aggressive, fast-paced, and uncensored hardcore style. Emerging from the house scene of the 2000s with his label Place Blanche, Greg Kozo has been a bartender in naughty bars, music director at Galeries Lafayette, bassist in funk bands, and legendary producer and DJ with his former band Make The Girl Dance. Far from settling down, he returns to the arena with a sharp sound. Several catchy tracks such as "Reviens" and "After" are sultry and subversive electro-pop songs, reminiscent of the sensuality of French Touch House or 80s Synth Pop. These tracks are performed by La Montespan, a mysterious creature and poetess of carnal desires, who gives them a gently erotic tone.
