In einer mutigen, hypnotischen Hommage an Detroits ursprüngliche Avantgarde-Rock-Wurzeln verwandeln Schlagzeuger Larry Mullins (alias Toby Dammit) und der legendäre Bassist Mike Watt das eindringliche Mantra ,We Will Fall" von The Stooges in ein fast 40-minütiges Ritual aus Wiederholungen, Zurückhaltung und roher Atmosphäre. Mullins und Watt greifen den unheimlichen Puls und den narkotischen Drone des Original-Tracks von 1969 auf und treiben dessen tranceartigen Kern in unbekanntes Terrain. Mullins, bekannt für seine Arbeit mit Iggy Pop, Swans und Nick Cave, baut mit seiner Shruti-Box, Moog-Elektronik, Tabla und Gongs eine minimalistische Landschaft auf. Watts charakteristisches Low-End-Dröhnen verwandelt sich von einem subtilen Herzschlag zu einer Ganzkörperhalluzination. Das Ergebnis ist keine Coverversion, sondern eine erweiterte Beschwörung. Following his award-nominated and critically acclaimed 2023 album Until Then, Danish guitarist and composer Rasmus Oppenhagen Krogh now presents his fourth album as a bandleader. "The title refers to the pillars that life and existence rest on," Krogh explains. "The moments, feelings, and meetings that form us as human beings, and that follow us the rest of the way. Snapshots that become defining for how our life develops." Musically, Pillars balances clear song structures with rich, intricate harmonic foundations. After screaming to the world You Don't Know What Chiptune Is, arottenbit returns with an even more radical and collective statement: You Don't Know What A Rework Is. Ten tracks, completely deconstructed and rebuilt by twenty Italian bands, each in their own sonic language. From drone swallowing the void to the most savage death metal, from visceral punk to a fearless flamenco twist, every track becomes an uncharted territory, a journey where arotttenbit's identity dissolves and multiplies into twenty new forms. Most of the recordings were captured by Otto himself with his mobile studio, during a tour across Italy that took him into basements, rehearsal rooms, and underground spaces, harnessing raw and direct energy from the bands in their natural environment. The story of Suffering began in the UK's West Midlands in 2012 and since those nascent days they have released a nefarious collection of occult black metal offerings, beginning with their debut album, 11, in 2018 and most recently the Symphonies: Diabolis EP in 2024. They have also built a reputation for intense, diabolical live performances, appearing alongside the likes of Esoteric, Ghost Bath, and Mol. The band recently signed with infamous label, Apocalyptic Witchcraft, with label founder Conor Droney describing Suffering's music as "dark, unflinching, and deeply atmospheric, exactly what we stand for." Founded in Cologne, Germany in 1985, Pink Turns Blue's blend of atmospheric pop informed by European post-punk contemporaries and buzzing punk dissonance of Hüsker Dü (the band is named after the Zen Arcade song) immediately tapped into a new canon of sound that was foundational to the emergence of darkwave. Released in 1987 and now remastered by Josh Bonati for vinyl release through Dais, If Two Worlds Kiss is a seminal offering to the canon of dark wave's DNA - a liquid lesson in melody, mood, and pacing - each track continuously adding to the journey like a unique push pin on a map of melancholy. Defined by their dynamic song-writing, their debut added a new urgency and depth to guitar-driven gothic rock by allowing fast songs such as the lead single "Walking on Both Sides" to possess the same sullen punch and melancholy as slower anthems like "When the Hammer Comes Down", which derives its power on the downbeat. More rhythmic variety is added through beat-driven dancefloor tracks with triumphant singalong choruses like "That Was You", showing they could swing hard - as well as swirl_

Finnish synthesizer virtuoso Kebu, together with Swedish singer Johan Becker (Secret Service, Fame Factory), presents his new single ‘Twilight,’ a powerful reinterpretation of the classic song of the same name by Electric Light Orchestra.

This song has special personal significance for Kebu – ‘Twilight’ is one of the songs that sparked his passion for electronic music and synthesizers.

This album is a compilation of hard-to-find 7" singles released in Kenya by the Audio Productions stable in the first half of the 1980s and most have never been released outside of East Africa.

Amongst others, it features artists such as Super Wanyika, led by the legendary vocalist Issa Juma, originally from Tanzania, who played a pivotal role in the Kenyan club scene in the late 1970s and early 1980s. Also featured is Orchestra Shika Shika, a Congolese band based in Nairobi, who recorded more than 70 singles for a host of labels. Their track included here, " Diana" is one of their very best and was the title track of their album released in 1983; featuring the sublime vocals of Jimmy Monimambo and Lovy Longomba.

This debut album captures Massive Dread at an early stage of his career when he was starting to make a name for himself as a unique voice in reggae. The production has that classic late-70s roots vibe—deep basslines, steady drum rhythms, and dub influences mixed with Massive Dread’s distinctive vocal style.

Jims künstlerische Reise begann im Jahr 2018 mit mehreren Singles und zwei größeren Releasen (Dynasty Program: A Metrical Composition Inspired by the Nights Spent as The Raiider; and Citadel), die sein künstlerisches Wachstum, seine Vielseitigkeit und seine Verletzlichkeit zeigten, während er mit der Obdachlosigkeit kämpfte. 2023 veröffentlichte er sein Mixtape "Homeless N*gga Pop Music", das von der Kritik sehr gelobt wurde. Es folgten Support und Cosigns von Acts wie Dave, Stormzy, Central Cee, Headie One, Skepta, Loski, Jack Harlow und zuletzt zwei Songs, die er mit Fred again.. Entwickelte.

ROTTEN, FOUL, DERANGED!

Around the end of the 1980s and the first years of the 1990s bands like PUNGENT STENCH, DISHARMONIC ORCHESTRA, DISASTROUS MURMUR or MIASMA made a name for themselves by putting out some classic albums. "Been Caught Buttering", "Changes" or "Expositionsprophylaxe" were records spawned by Austrian hordes which were globally hailed by devotees of Death Metal. As fertile a soil Austria once seemed to be, throughout the last 30 years not one single Death Metal album was put out that would match the quality of the pioneers.

Apparently, it took Brenton, an Australian settling in Vienna, to eventually put Austria on the map again. After having founded FESSUS with 3 other members in 2023, the quartet put out their first demo "Pilgrims of Morbidity" in the same year.

Now, two years after the very promising demo, FESSUS return with their first full-length. Cryptically entitled "Subcutaneous Tomb" the album's six lengthy songs stylistically continue where the demo left off. Whereas other bands focus on hyper-speed, over-technicality and brutality, FESSUS' brand of Death Metal is mostly played in moderate tempi with outbursts of speed and aggression scattered throughout the album. The songs are foremost characterized by memorable compositions and groove. Every song literally oozes with morbidity and conjures a dense macabre atmosphere. Brenton's vocals which are partly reminiscent of NECROPHAGIA's Killjoy are one of the highlights of the album. With his performance being equal parts versatile and deranged, Brenton spews vile bile and brimstone like not many lunatics before him. Although there are hints of other bands like AUTOPSY or PURTENANCE found on the album, FESSUS actually managed to come up with a sound that’s distinctly their own.

"Subcutaneous Tomb" is a perfectly produced album that those worshipping at the altar of morbid, rotten Death Metal can't afford to miss out on.

Weder eine Wiederholung noch ein Bruch, bekräftigt dieses fünfte Kapitel die Reife der Flyers und ihre Fähigkeit, ihr Universum zu erweitern, ohne ihre Identität zu verlieren. Das Ergebnis ist ein kurzes, aber intensives Album, das sowohl Funk-Puristen als auch Liebhaber instrumentaler Abenteuer ansprechen wird.

Since first arriving on the scene in 2009 with blistering inversions of shoegaze, Montreal's No Joy has always found formidable ways to reinvent itself. Now solely composed of musician Jasamine White-Gluz, No Joy has evolved over four studio albums and five EPs, defying expectation and genre, and cementing itself as something rare: a band without a category. Clearly sympatico at the time of collaborating, Fire-Toolz and No Joy (Jasamine White-Gluz) had both resituated to secluded woodsy milieus prior to the "Bugland seshies", as I now name the historic pairing. Together, they created an aural equivalent of a late 1980 I-d magazine front and back cover, with a non-problematic National Geographic hiding within. Fire-Toolz sums it up: "The collaboration really felt limitless. I didn't have to adhere to a certain vision in a way that made me feel like I couldn't be Fire-Toolz. I could easily relate to this album because Jasamine and I liked a lot of the same music, and I was able to be creative in ways that were freeing as if I was making my own album. " Both spent days driving through on empty rural highways listening to the mixes, and it reflects in the final product. With an open ear, many "influence eggs" can be detected by the listener. Garbage Dream House is Zooropian without any of U2's ego baggage. Seven-minute closing track Jelly Meadow Bright even manages to meld Stooges' Fun House out of control saxophone with the chill buoyancy of a high-end spa. Touching on respected, familiar genres and sounds while attempting to advance one's own isn't easy but Bugland manages to. What genre is it anyway? Is it even shoegaze when it could live happily on a shelf next to Boards of Canada and Autechre? The right answer is `yes'. What a lovely shelf `twould be as well. A marble shelf, with cyberpunk elements. Bugland`s a testament to White-Gluz's evolution and her ability to channel a wide variety of tastes into something cohesive that can descend into fine-tuned chaos, then out of that chaos with ease.

Peach Discs’ last EP of 2025 comes from DJ & producer Leibniz. Hopefully you can hear why we chose to wait till club season is fully upon us to put this one out – "Corridor" is a deeply heads-down, groove-forward record that casts an enveloping atmosphere across its minimal, tunneling arrangements built for dark rooms and long nights.

Across the EP's four tracks, Leibniz (real name Moritz Paul) picks a vibe and runs with it – themes persist, the focus narrows and what we get is something approaching a mood. Drawing inspiration from early 2000s techno records from the likes of Archetype while combining the ambient warmth of Kompakt’s Pop Ambient compilations and GAS releases with the clarity and weight of early dubstep and 2-step, he dived into a process of self-sampling, resampling shorter demos and ideas into full arrangements, or "making in-between tracks that help make the tracks.”

The pair of tracks on the record's A-side are made up of little more than razor-sharp percussion, billowing, restless pads and an infectious bassline, but it's the way these carefully considered elements are put together that do the damage on the floor.

Flip it over and Ten Ten breaks the 4x4 spell for a moment, leaning into a heavily swung, garage-indebted sound inspired by the king of swing himself, El-B. "If my drums resemble just a bit of the ones of El-B, I‘m happy." We reckon he can be happy. Finally, TTL takes us back to the persistent, driving energy of the A-side, with just a hint of hardgroove flavour and the kind of wonked-out fx that always suits the B2 of a record.

PLEVNA is the solo project of Horatiu Serbanescu, tracing a path through motion and memory. Ethnic roots, eastern-twilight melodies, and synthetic textures weave a sound that feels both ancient and entirely new. Nothing here asks to be named.

Status Quo has endured for over 50 years and is known for worldwide hits and tours to millions of fans across the globe.
