Originally released by Warp Records in 1993, Nail's 'Cassiopeia' has since turned into a timeless deep trance classic. Luca Lozano's interpretation sits somewhere between a remix and an edit, swapping out the original drums for an 808 and some breakbeats. Originally intended only for personal use on the dance floors, Klasse Wrecks is pleased to announce it is now available for public enjoyment via a one-sided white label. The record is housed in a translucent orange sleeve, comes with a 42x60cm 'Klasse Wrecks' poster and is limited to 400 copies only.

Push – Strange World is given the remix treatment by Belgian dynamic techno duo Joyhauser, alongside the anthemic 2000 Remake. What can you say about M.I.K.E. / Push, the guy is a legend, a musical genius having crafted countless tracks under several guises, and he is still going as strong as ever today. Taken from the album, From Beyond, Strange World really hit the big time in clubs and festivals thanks to its soaring melodies and euphoric climax. It spawned a swathe of remixes and reissues over the years and no wonder it raises its head once again. Joyhauser are Joris Cielen and Stijn Vanspauwen, a techno outfit from Bilzen BE. They share a deep passion for electronic music and have been smashing dancefloors since 2017. Their sound is a hybrid collection of genres, creating unique flavours which grabs attention from all quarters. They’ve played all over the world and to date they continue to perfect their sound, releasing quality music with devastating effect.



The Joyhauser Remix adds a thundering techno vibe to the original sound. Huge, powerful, arena style kick drums lead the way alongside crispy hi hats that slice through the murky basses. That distinctive, highly infectious melody seeps through, building us up the break where the main hook comes to life before climaxing back to thundering techno mode. Twisting synths and gritty basses greet us on the drop, locking us in for the duration. An absolute stormer of remix that is not to be missed.

We’re excited to present our next 12” vinyl. This time, we go back in time once again with a brand-new remix of an absolute classic. Yves Deruyter’s Calling Earth was a mega hit back in the day, now in 2020, the track has been given a makeover by electronic music icon, Umek. From those early days at Bonzai, Yves has been at the forefront, dishing out countless tracks under his own name and a host of guises and collaborations. Still rocking the scene today, producing and DJing for the masses, he has surpassed 35 years as a DJ and it doesn’t look like he will be stopping anytime soon. His tracks have a tendency to find their way into modern sets, holding their own in timeless fashion. So, it’s no surprise that in 2020, Umek decided to have a go at remixing this popular track, which has been played by the likes of Adam Beyer and even got an airing on BBC Radio 1’s Essential Mix. Slovenian artist, Umek, started out in 1993. He was pioneering the sound in his country, bringing the music to the masses at such a young age. In 1999 he founded Consumer Recreation and Recycled Loops and has went on to churn out a plethora of work on other world-renowned labels. He currently runs his latest label, 1605, with great success. His fast mixing skills and uplifting sets earned him the most prestigious of gigs and has played a Radio 1 Essential Mix in 2007. A multi-award-winning artist, Umek continues to deliver the goods, and this is just one example of his genius. What is more special about this particular release though, is not only is it a limited edition, but each vinyl features a unique colour pattern. Three colours will be present, blended together in random sequences to achieve the most vibrant tapestry. This will give the records their own character and will be the talking point of many collections.

On the A-side you’ll find Umek’s Remix. Staying true to the original, while bringing in a strong, contemporary Techno vibe. The intro boasts that familiar scratchy synth before monster kick drums take over alongside a pulsating bassline. Tension mounts as the layers pile on, we’re teased with the main melody until it’s unleashed on the first break to the backdrop of a gnarly, gritty Techno pad. The second break brings in those playful percussions that track is so famous for, resolving in a slowed down tempo and then back to full-on mode for the duration.

The B-side features the glorious Original Mix. First released in 1994 as the A-side to IV (backed with Rave City). The track opened with that hollow tube sound laced with bright hats, leading to a solid, pounding beat and then on to that infectious melody line. This one quickly rose to mega status among throngs of ravers and DJ's. A string of remixes followed as well as multiple releases over the years making this the ultimate classic.

Renaissance recruit Tale of Us for the second the second edition of their quarterly-century celebrations.With the first release in this series occupying #1 status for 6 weeks last summer, Renaissance are back with the second instalment of their 25th Anniversary 'The Remix Collection' project. For the follow-up to Solomun's immense reworking of Age Of Love, Renaissance have bagged more Techno royalty in the shape of Italian duo Tale Of Us, to take on the huge task of remixing another iconic 90's classic.The track in question is the legendary 'Café Del Mar' by the 90's trance project, Energy 52. Much alike the previous remix by Solomun, it seems Tale Of Us also have their work cut out for them, as this track has had no shortage of remixes over the years. However, the popularity of 'Café Del Mar' is not simply reflected through its remix roster. Named after the iconic bar at the heart of the Ibiza clubbing scene, it was the soundtrack to the rave-culture movie, 'Human Traffic' in 1999. In addition to this 'Café Del Mar' later went on to be voted #1 in MixMag's 2001 '500 Best Tracks Ever' list.With this second remix, Tale of Us take the classic elements that made Café Del Mar such a huge track in the 90's, bringing them into the present-day with big licks of bass and a huge crescendo. Carrying forward the focus of the series, this remix refreshes the iconic track for a new generation of listeners. Second part in a Belgian Trance trilogy by the hand of Thomas Blanckaert (Innershades). Things speed up with tracks reaching up till 140 beats per minute. While the streets were filled with massive crowds and Love Parades in the early 2000s, people in Belgium escaped reality in small night clubs until dawn or even midday. This second EP is more than a homage to the heydays of Belgian Trance, it's a small homage to one of the most notorious after clubs in Belgium 'The Kings Club' located in our shared hometown Aalst. The club's building was torn down this year but just like this 'hard hypnotic Belgian music' its legacy will remain... Strictly limited to 400 copies. Vinyl Only!

The A-Side is a 7” edit of the classic ‘Monged Out’, edited by none other than Dave Wallace from Aquasky/Mad Dog. A heavy, no nonsense jungle anthem from 1993!

The AA-Side is a 7” edit of an unreleased Mad Dog track, recorded in 1993 and only recently found on DAT tape in 2019. The tune is called ‘Hypnotise’ and is a more uplifting track, with bundles of rave energy and jungle vibes.

Composer, musician, visual artist and performer, Charlemagne Palestine is a legendary figure in the New York underground scene. At the piano or on his electronic oscillators, this outsider of skilful music experiments with the principles of resonance and repetition in a quest for the 'golden sound': the ultimate harmonic vibration. Based in Brussels for 20 years now, his iconic work consisting of teddy bears, divinities and other enchanting encounters is now exhibited in BOZAR (AA SSCHMMETTRROOSSPPECCTIVVE, 18 May - 26 August 2018). For the occasion, Charlemagne Palestine also presents two exceptional musical performances at the Kunstenfestivaldesarts Published on the occasion of Charlemagne's AA-SSCHMMETTRROOSSPPECCTIVVE exhibition, audioMER. is proud to present historical piano recordings dating from circa 1974. They were played on a Bösendorfer model 220, regarded by some as the 'Rolls Royce' of pianos, at Charlemagne's 64 North Moore Street studio, Tribeca in New York.The music here represents Charlemagne's infamous 'strumming' technique, which he describes himself in a 2002 interview with Perfect Sound Forever as follows: 'My first piano music resembles impressionists like Debussy or Ravel but it's played through four or five hours, including some little arpeggios and played over and over again in thousands of different ways... Later on, I began to see that I'd played the piano like a flamenco guitar, that many overtones could change and the music that came out had a density and verticality - thanks to the overtones - which was extraordinary.'Together with the book this vinyl record celebrates the career of a prolific artist in word, image and sound. Biography: Charlemagne Palestine was born Chaim Moshe Palestine in Brooklyn, New York of a Jewish immigrant family from Odessa and Minsk in 1947. At six years old he started to sing traditional Jewish cantorial music in the synagogue.
At the New York University, he began composing electronic music at the NYU Electronic Music Studio run by Morton Subotnick where he worked with electronic synthesizer oscillators and filters which he would name 'Spectral Continuum'. Later Subotnick invited him in 1969 to relocate to Los Angeles and participate in the creation of a new radical school for multimedia, arts, music, dance and theatre known as the California Institute of the Arts. There he met happening artist inventor Allan Kaprow, video pioneer Nam June Paik, avant-garde composer James Tenney, fluxus artists Emmett Williams, Dick Higgins, Alison Knowles and Judson Dance Theatre member and artist Simone Forti with whom Palestine created a unique music and dance form called 'Illuminations' in 1970, which they have continued to perform irregularly over the last 45+ years even just recently at Centre Pompidou, Paris and MoMA, New York. At Cal Arts he developed many different practices: electronic and acoustic sound works, body performance art, video art and multimedia installations. With Forti he was invited for the first time to Europe to perform in a festival in Rome in 1972 where he met La Monte Young, Philip Glass, Steve Reich and Terry Riley. With his revolutionary solo piano work 'Strumming Music', he was included in the new musical trend known as 'Minimal Music'. In 1974 Karel Geirlandt and Hergé come from Brussels to visit his studio in Soho, New York, and invite him to inaugurate Geirlandt's recent appointment as director of the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels. In November of that year Charlemagne performs a legendary 2½ hour solo installation / concert in Horta Hall on a Viennese Bösendorfer Imperial piano surrounded by his entourage of animal toy divinities that in the early seventies began to become his trademark, sacred alter-egos that later will become a new art form in themselves. He begins to use the term 'CharleWorld' for his total artistic presentations. By the early eighties, he began to do less performances and videos and devoted himself to creating large stuffed animal divinity altars inspired by his earlier sacred alter-ego travel divinities and the historical iconic 'Teddy Bear' animal toy that was invented in the same neighborhood where he was born in Brooklyn in 1902 by Rose and Morris Michtom, Jewish immigrants from the same region and background as his own grandparents. With Steiff company he built a 6 meter high GodBear/BuddhaBear outdoor sculpture in real mohair for Documenta 8 in Kassel, Germany in 1987.In the early nineties he started to be contacted by a whole new generation of musicians (Pan Sonic, Michael Gira etc...), performers and artists (Body By Body at Levy.Delval in 2014), who convince him to come back to the international scene, after some years of retreat, and with now a new audience and new presentation opportunities he begins the next chapter in his work and life and starts again to perform and create a new 'Gesamtkunst', a new 'CharleWorld'.

Side A features Jones & Stephenson - The First Rebirth (Charlotte de Witte Remix) which offers a raid on the senses thanks to Charlotte's contemporary take. Expect sizzling melodies and a driving Techno groove. Side B1 holds Lefto's remix of Thunderball - Bonzai Channel One which dishes out a pumping tech fuelled vibe full of scathing synths and that iconic vocal we all know and love, one for the big events here. B2 features probably the most unique of all the reworkings. Stuff gives us their Bonzai Tribute Mix which is a sublime mash-up between Blue Alphabet - Cybertrance and Cherrymoon Trax - The House Of House. Mostly done with live instruments, this quintet have certainly captured the essence of those early tracks.
A seminal track that personifies Bonzai's stance in the electronic music world.
