Every year since 2004 Armin did a year mix of the biggest tunes of my radioshow. Since 2005 he's releasing these mixes on double CD and online. Many people have been requesting to release the very first one that was never released on CD.

So here it is! A STATE OF TRANCE YEARMIX 2004.
The very first year mix Armin did for his weekly radioshow A State of Trance Episode 182. This mix was originally broadcasted on January 6th 2005.

The idea was to capture the sound of 2004 in a 2 hour mix, based on the votes by the listeners for the top 20 of the year.
That top 20 was broadcasted the week before but Armin felt a lot of really good tunes were left out! That's why the idea for a year mix was born.

For all the fans this is a great opportunity to make the series complete!

The anticipation factor has been tremendous... The hype and buzz around Dash Berlin's latest (and some say most impressive) studio album was undeniable.

Dash was quoted as saying: "at the end of the day, it's going to be your soundtrack, to your life, so let's do this together". And so 'We Are' was born - out of a love for the fans that helped build the current #10 DJ in the world into what he is today.

There is no stopping Above & Beyond right now. From becoming the first UK DJs to sell out Madison Square Garden to their capacity ABGT050 show at London's legendary 10,000 Alexandra Palace, the London-based trio continue to cement themselves as scene leaders in the electronic music world.

The CD album is mixed and contains 13 tracks of which 11 are previously unreleased. This is definitely NOT a "Best Of" collection.

3 years is a long time in dance music... Max Cooper is now on his 12th release with Traum and if that was a magic number, he has teamed up with Nicolas Bougaïeff who is the creative director of Liine in Berlin. He has built the controllers for the Plastikman Live 2010 tour and works together with Richie Hawtin with Liine. This company provides the Lemur App, Remiix Apps and Griid, amongst others. Nicolas Bougaïeff has recently completed his PhD in music.

The irrepressibly spirited 'Unbreakable' from Temple One, the gravity resistant synths of Will Atkinson's 'Eternally' and 'Sailing Airwaves' from ReOrder & Ian Standerwick's presents SkyPatrol keep the mix's needle firmly on the red line. As the 2014 edition of Trance Nation reaches its culminating heights, the O'Callaghan remix of Lange's 'Unfamiliar Truth' and Bryan Kearney and Will Atkinson respective rebuilds of Aly & Fila's 'Where To Now' and 'Mother Nature' push the envelope further, with the final say going to Standerwick's with his own ballistic 'Valyrian'.
