Renaissance recruit Tale of Us for the second the second edition of their quarterly-century celebrations.With the first release in this series occupying #1 status for 6 weeks last summer, Renaissance are back with the second instalment of their 25th Anniversary 'The Remix Collection' project. For the follow-up to Solomun's immense reworking of Age Of Love, Renaissance have bagged more Techno royalty in the shape of Italian duo Tale Of Us, to take on the huge task of remixing another iconic 90's classic.The track in question is the legendary 'Café Del Mar' by the 90's trance project, Energy 52. Much alike the previous remix by Solomun, it seems Tale Of Us also have their work cut out for them, as this track has had no shortage of remixes over the years. However, the popularity of 'Café Del Mar' is not simply reflected through its remix roster. Named after the iconic bar at the heart of the Ibiza clubbing scene, it was the soundtrack to the rave-culture movie, 'Human Traffic' in 1999. In addition to this 'Café Del Mar' later went on to be voted #1 in MixMag's 2001 '500 Best Tracks Ever' list.With this second remix, Tale of Us take the classic elements that made Café Del Mar such a huge track in the 90's, bringing them into the present-day with big licks of bass and a huge crescendo. Carrying forward the focus of the series, this remix refreshes the iconic track for a new generation of listeners. Anjunabeats is pleased to announce the debut artist album from Trance Wax - an alias of Ejeca. Celebrating the formative sounds that Garry and his childhood friends - and sometime collaborators - Bicep first fell in love with as Belfast teenagers, Trance Wax began as an
anonymous series of vinyl-only bootlegs back in 2015.
Tapping into the deep love of trance across the dance community, Garry’s lovingly crafted edits of classics from Yves Deyurter, BT and Mauro Picotto became peak-time anthems for Bicep, Nina Kraviz, Denis Sulta, The Blessed Madonna, Job Jobse to name a few. Each vinyl run sold out in hours. Copies on Discogs often sold for hundreds of pounds. Resident Advisor described the edits as “somewhere between Shed and Evian Christ”. BBC Radio 1 commissioned Trance Wax for a hallowed Essential Mix in mid-2018. The collective nostalgia for trance - a foundational force in emotional dance music - was well and truly awoken. It was no surprise, then, that Garry found his way to London’s trance standard-bearer:
Anjunabeats. The connection began when Trance Wax edited two classics from the Anjunabeats vault, ‘Clear Blue Water’ and ’Satellite, both from Above & Beyond’s much-loved OceanLab project. Trance Wax was invited to support Above & Beyond at two sold-out shows at
London’s Printworks, his distinctive breakbeat-nodding take on classic trance striking a chord with the Anjuna fanbase and the Anjunabeats label team! As the relationship grew, Garry’s creative urge to explore the Trance Wax influences more fully was nurtured. An
album deal was inked. The result is a stirring, self-titled LP debut from Trance Wax featuring 14 original compositions. The album is a celebration of communal euphoria and a love-letter to the
golden age of trance - arguably European dance music’s most fertile period - through the eyes of a modern production star at the top of his game. You’ll hear a touch of early Chicane with a dash of modern Bicep in ‘Beul En Latha’ - a Gaelic term for ‘sunrise’ - while tracks like ‘Throne’ and album closer ‘Northern Sky’ are a nod to The
Future Sound Of London. Endorsed by Mistajam and Danny Howard at BBC Radio 1, ‘Lifeline’ is a sweaty, Balearic piano-house cut, made for marathon sessions on the Space Ibiza terrace. ‘Manaya’ is Trance Wax’s homage to the uplifting sound of early 00’s Eurotrance, and
has already managed to find its way into the sets of Above & Beyond and Armin van Buuren. Garry has also enlisted some trance royalty for the album. Moya Brennan, the iconic voice of Chicane’s ‘Saltwater’, provides the vocals for ‘Rivers’, whilst Jan Johnston guests on ‘Nitedream’ - unlocking memories of her classic ‘Skydive’ with Freefall.

Second release on the Copenhagen imprint, featuring tracks by DJ IBON, Lund&Ronde and Escaping Tendency, all from the local BunkerBauer crew. The release consists of three fast and trance infused tracks for the floor, and makes a contribution to the current flowering of Copenhagen dance music.

BunkerBauer is a DJ and producer collective, and has been a central institution in the Copenhagen techno scene for several years. All tracks are produced in the BunkerBauer studios which is located in an old bunker from World War 2, in the center of the city.

On the A-side there is Lund&Ronde's rolling hardtrance inspired banger. The B-side contains DJ Ibon's long awaited "White Flag", a melancholic percussion driven techno tune, followed by the wax debut of Escaping Tendency, a more slow and groovy track.

To The Other Side is an electronic journey that express the inner visions of sound. Is the first album of The ReLOUD in a limited double vinyl.

For Record Store Day 2020 we’ve got an exclusive 2 x 45-minute cassette pack from one of our legendary, original DJ, producers – Bountyhunter. The Mixtapes Volume 1 – The Sound Of TGV is truly authentic, packaged in a vintage slipcase, it will be just as if you purchased the tape at your favourite club back in the day. Prolific artist Stefan Melis aka Bountyhunter started his career in 1990 in a very small after club called TGV. During this time, he recorded his first record with a sample from the Star Wars movie and Bountyhunter was born. Released on the brand new up and coming label Bonzai Records in 1992, this single would go on to be a huge success and help in shaping the sound we all know and love today. Many more releases would follow including Woops, Demilitarized Zone and The Return to name a few. These releases would make a big mark on the Bonzai imprint and propel him into the big time and ensure that when people speak of Bonzai, then the name Bountyhunter is always mentioned.

On behalf of re:discovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the release of the Mysteries of Science compilation. Mysteries of Science aka Dominic Woosey was a fixture of the ambient, ambient house and trance scene in the late 80s until the mid 90's.

These selections have been carefully chosen to show the timeless sound crafting Dominic was capable with his wide array of sound modules. They range from space music, ambient to a proto-techno and back again. In the vein of Berlin School ambient or Tangerine Dream type sequencing, but made during the post-rave world of the early 1990s during the chill out era. Tracks to search the stars with! All of them are here for the first time on vinyl and were chosen in this order for the best listening experience.

Through aeons of evolution, the mysterious metamorphosis of the vinyan butterfly advances with a new moon: slowly becoming whole, casting sounds and echoes from one dimension to another. We witness the next cycle as it spreads its wings and emerges from the chrysalis. The eccentric landscapes and hypnotic blends of Sunju Hargun and Khun Fluff are given new capacity and perception catalyzed by Full Circle (aka Joakim and Alexis Le-Tan), S.O.N.S under his SYO moniker, and an eternal injection rework bonus.

The A-side features Sunju Hargun’s ٹرانس - released prior on the Vinyan cassette and now for the first time on vinyl - spinning around a warm body of transportive delays and reverberant acid textures. The steadily drifting polyrhythms send a balance of nuance and intensity off to the inner-nebula. Up next, the mysterious Seoul-based producer S.O.N.S. revisits his S.Y.O. moniker for an alternative interpretation. Leaving all subtleties behind, his rework takes off at the speed of sound, trembling into warped patterns of stubborn percussion, spirals, and even a "Koto" cameo, emerging into a sophisticated rapid-speed blend of ecstatic rhythms.

The proto-Goa devotees Full Circle take over the entire flip with their unique twist on another cassette original: Khun Fluff’s poetic วิญญาณ (Vinyan). At the speed of spoken word, the track is built around Kalayanapong’s reincarnation poem recited by Chucheewa. “Late at night, I ate starlight, to nourish. Poetry pours out at dawn, forevermore.” Groovy, subtle, spaced out to other dimensions, it brings one into a sedated delirium. A state in which the night's darkness and grooves gently but firmly mix with the light and hopes of the first rays of sun. One for the 6 AM sunrises, meow meow.

Along with a download card, the digital bonus on the release is Sunju Hargun’s eternal injection of ٹرانس. Starting like a hazy, dreamy, subdued, early morning ambient track, it morphs and transforms into a colourful, ever faster flying musical butterfly, bringing light, and speed in the E.P. 's final track.

It's with great pleasure that we announce the return of New York's synth wizard Steve Moore to KOMPAKT - pretty much exactly 10 years after his much lauded first appearance 'Bayern Kurve' on our SPEICHER series.

Steve Moore is widely recognized as one half of Italo Disco-tinged horror-prog project ZOMBI, his numerous thriller movie soundtrack works (The Guest, VFW, Mayhem, Bliss, The Mind's Eye) as well has his clubbier output on Ron Morelli's L.I.E.S. imprint.

The title track of this 4 track EP, "Frame Dragging" sees Moore in full spine tingling mode. In case you've ever stepped into a hot bath on a cold day (in case you haven't you should try it) you should be well familiar with the phenomenon of being incredibly cold and hot at once. That's exactly what 'Frame Digging' does to the dance floor. Goosebump massacre.

"Gamma Quadrant" combines emotive balearic elements with a rolling minimal house track that reminds us of early Playhouse glory. Or is it early Kompakt?

'Gravity Well' and 'Protostar' are both taking a more chilled out route. They perfectly bookend both sides of the record and showcase Moore's stunning ability of creating suspenseful, spaced out beauty.

Paul Roux debut on the label is a fresh breath of air, emotions, melodies, and mostly soul. Something that we always seek, and hardly deliver nowadays on wax. He joins the collective with 4 tracks that span into his experience, and his amazing skills on live takes, a selection of tracks that will sign your collection forever hopefully.

It has been a little over a year since the release of 747's debut album, in which the Canadian masterfully drew notes of inspiration from the 90s to create an enchanting hour-long dream. In his first EP since, 747 returns from a temporal leap, bringing with him a blend of sounds and expressions to forge a timeless trip which hinges on the sounds of the 303.

Opening the release, "you,you" unfolds with a gentle and shimmery padded ambiance of anticipation. Gentle and light-footed percussion is soon interrupted by a dramatic siren, a warning beacon. Frenetic energy ensues, a frantic rush to the floor met with a cloudy head. Encompassed in an envelope of disorienting wailing and intermittent buzzing, but finally grounded by the familiarity of a 4/4 bass drum.

"Does Anybody Remember Laughter?" steps in to relinquish the force of gravity. The animated arpeggio and gleaming singing acid line rise up, uncovering the kaleidoscopic nature of the structural surroundings.

"While My 303 Gently Weeps" divulges further, exposing an underlying grid of dark geometry - binary and robotic. The topology of surfaces becomes increasingly fractalized, until the solo overtakes with a somber sadness. The 303 notes guide the mind on a melancholic and meditative walk along the grand staff, met after the break with a sense of hope and serenity.

To close, "You Missed the Starting Gun" recounts the journey through a twisting mesh of thoughts: sorrow and actualization. A calming hypnotic presence is felt. Stability ensues - an afterglow.

Naone debuts on UTTU! Channeling her sounds towards dreamy and cosmic elements that allow her to daydream or space out but still keeping the fun of the dancefloor. A follow-up to recent collaboration EP "Separate Ways" with S.O.N.S., her first solo release takes you on a journey of tracks influenced by progressive trance, techno and downtempo, with emotional synth and 303 acid lines filling out space. After more than 5 years in the techno scene as an organizer, label, and agency, RAW is launching their first vinyl compilation including 16 original tracks from a well-curated list of top producers. The release features several early label contributors as I Hate Models, Under Black Helmet or Hadone with respected and inspirational artists as Perc, Somniac One, Thomas P. Heckmann, or Clouds to name a few.

Entitled Gemstones, this V/A is divided into 4 colored vinyls representing precious stones, promoting a hard and harsh sound from industrial to emotional techno stompers.

After making a name for itself through acclaimed reissues of forgotten gems, Lyon’s Tunnel Vision Records is back, this time with a previously unreleased cult EP from the Serbian underground: InnVision’s Lake produced by Welljam aka Velja Mijanović, one of the pioneers of electronic music in Serbia and host of the legendary “Liquid” show on Yu Radio.

While it is fairly common these days for tracks to reach cult status after being uploaded to Youtube and picked up by its recommendation algorithm, the story of the Lake EP is truly unique.

Picture this: it’s the summer of 94 in Serbia and despite US sanctions, something was going on in the country’s musical underground with open-air parties on lakesides and other natural locations, fuelled by a feeling of freedom and creativity. At the time, InnVision was a 26-year-old producer inspired by the likes of The Orb, Brian Eno, Underworld, and Spooky. Unconcerned with adhering to trends or finding ways to make commercially-viable music, he created the tracks on this EP with Cubase running on an Atari computer and several synths fairly common at the time.

But the result was beyond anything common or ordinary. Described by its creator as “organic (ambient) house, but you can call it trance”, LAKE is rapture in its highest form. Pure enthusiasm seems to be driving this uplifting track, with an abundance of heavenly arpeggios and positive energy, along with masterful arrangements that make it even more grandiose, while retaining a light and dreamy quality (perhaps it is no coincidence that Lake in Serbian evokes weightlessness). It is one of those rare tracks that have a deep impact on body, mind, and soul and for which the repeat button was created. While adhering to a central theme, it never feels stale and this is explained by the fact that it was arranged live, with InnVision muting and tweaking everything in one go, which makes this track a “deskmix”, to use dub terminology. In fact, the producer remembers jumping around and shedding occasional tears while he recorded the final take.

On the flipside is another previously unreleased track, the forward-thinking NIGHTY. By no means filler, this is a timeless track with a subaquatic feel. With lush pads and elements doused in delay and reverb, you’d think this is a purely ambient cut, but it’s much more than that. Subtle melodic and rhythmic elements are engaged in a dialogue, and distant breakbeat samples can be detected in the background, enough to induce movement but never overtaking the vibe carefully created by InnVision. The result is a track that is at the same time featherlight and impossible to listen to without some sort of movement. Once again, truly unique music that transcends time and place.

We welcome to the Kompakt family one of our local Cologne heroes, "Jonathan Kaspar". We’ve appreciated him from afar for some time now thanks to his releases on Crosstown Rebels, Pets Recordings, Ouie and of course our own KX imprint. His single “Renard” was a highlight of our recently released TOTAL 19 collection, so it was time to make our relationship official with a 4 track EP.

Opener “Kern” leads with layers of melodic synths power charged around a playful house rhythm. For the digital release he offers up a Percussion Edit that is intended to bring more depth to the charge. “Zentrum” is for that peak time pace … elevating melodies caress a swelling mid-tempo beat. Not to mention one of the biggest breakdown’s we’ve had the pleasure to release in some time.

We move to “Licht” which literally sounds like it soars, then back to earth comes “Kante” – the most techno inspired track of the EP – an oscillating synth rips through solid low end bass frequencies – with Jonathan Kaspar skillfully demonstrating prime time, peak and valley production. “Kante EP” brings out his emotive, high energy style of writing and producing in a means that could be pointed to as his best work to date.

Trance leaning tunes on the A side tickle your dancing soles, making them peak time material. Playing with emotive evocations of hope, this is music to transcend to. On behalf of rediscovery records, it is with great excitement that we announce the Hyaline EP Extended by Human Mesh Dance. New York native and multi-talented media artist Taylor Deupree, was the man behind this electronic act. Taylor was a fixture in the Northeastern American electronic music scene in so many ways. From art design for Instinct Records entire first decade of discography to being a part of legendary live acid techno act Prototype 909. He was also one half of the highly regarded Seti ambient project and by the late 1990’s thru today, he has run 12k records to over 100+ ambient releases from artists around the world. rediscovery focuses in on his debut Hyaline EP from 1993 from early on in his career (which we added 2 additional Human Mesh Dance tracks never on vinyl). A post-rave audio glimpse into the bedroom sound of the Aquasphere; Taylor’s home studio that helped give birth to the sound of Instinct Ambient. Chill out on the verge of the new millennium. Spacey melodics, futuristic visions and sci-fi themes were the inspiration for a new brand of deeper sounds that challenged listeners on couches instead of warehouses. The analogue verging on a digital sunrise having some re-define their definition of ‘what is trance?

We are proud to present the third cooperation between Armada Music and Music on Vinyl. The 2-LP release of the great second album of Armin Van Buuren, Shivers, including the successful singles “Shivers” (featuring Susana) and “Serenity” (featuring Jan Vayne). His second solo album finds him taking the final step into real songwriting, working with such singers as Nadia Ali, Michael Burns, Justine Suissa and Martijn Hagens, and continuing both to refine and expand his personal vision of the ways trance can be defined in a constantly expanding dance music universe. The fourth times voted number 1 DJ in the world (DJ Mag Top 100) was awarded tons of times for his influence in the trance music scene, and this album proves exactly why.

Available as a 15th anniversary edition of 2500 individually numbered copies on silver & black marbled vinyl. The Shivers package includes an insert with pictures and credits.

Armin van Buuren has been making name for himself as a composer of original dance music as well as a world-class DJ and remixer since the late Nineties. The trance pioneer released his second studio album Shivers originally in 2005, making his final step into real songwriting. For this album, Armin collaborated with artists such as Nadia Ali, Michael Burns, Justine Suissa, Martijn Hagens and trance duo Gabriel & Dresden. The album included two successful singles, “Shivers” featuring Susana and “Serenity” featuring Jan Vayne.

Armin has won many awards so far. He has been ranked the number one DJ by DJ Mag five times in total, of which four times in a row. He was nominated for a Grammy Award and in the US, he holds the record for most entries (21) on the Billboard Dance/Electronic Albums Chart.

Shivers is available as a 2LP on black vinyl, includes an insert and contains secret inscriptions in the run-out groove.
