From his Saint Denis apartment, and with the help of his machines, Labelle has laid the foundations of an electronic maloya, modern and deeply rooted in its home territory: La Réunion. On 'univers-île' his latest album released in September 2017, the sound of the Creole Reunionese language played a key role. On 'Post-Maloya", Labelle release a fascinating EP of introspective trance music. Post-Maloya EP is characterized by vivid dream-like journey through which traces a path of exploration. Here you will find the maloya stamp, which is Reunionese traditional music, both in the rhythms and the instruments used, like the valiha. This traditional tubular harp from Madagascar is played by Vola on the track 'Jaojoby'. Vola was taught by Rajery himself, who is widely considered as master of this instrument. This track is an homage to Jaojoby, king of Salegy, a popular musician in Madagascar. The hypnotic sounds evoke distant dimensions and resonate like shamanic incantations whose aim is to gently lead us towards the trance. As the title suggests - 'Post-maloya' is the exploration of new musical processes mixed with the use of traditional maloya instrumentation. This is an appropriate name for this new opus, which is more electronic and percussive; carving an experimental path between electronic and traditional music. In parallel with the creation this EP, the Regional Conservatory of Réunion Island has given free reign to Labelle to create a series of live performances which he played all around the island last month, including an original creation linked to his expression of 'Post-maloya' supported by an ensemble of eleven musicians from Réunion Island's regional orchestra.

For release number 16 on De:tuned Stefan Robbers aka Terrace steps up to the plate. The veteran and well-respected Dutch producer from the city of Eindhoven unleashes four brand new techno tracks with a strong Detroit DNA for the discerning dancefloors. It's everything you'd expect from a Terrace release: a crisp and warm analogue sound with plenty of melody and groove, dubby undertones and fat chords. The icing on the cake is the optical themed artwork created by designer Openmind (aka Strictly Kev, DJ Food, Ninja Tune). As per usual Matt Colton from Alchemy Mastering reworked the source material to guarantee a flawless listening experience. This release will be available on 180 gr vinyl. Around 6 months after the success of the first Lateral Fragments vinyl, Pjotr G & Dubiosity return for part two. They continue where they left off, serving some deep, melodic vibes on Tabula Rasa and Outage. With Turmoil, the duo takes a bit of a different approach. The warm synths make way for some more hypnotic, raw vibes. Petter B delivers a truly grand remix for Turmoil, which is as fitting to Lateral Fragments as it is to your sets.

Synthek is quite simply a master of deep hypnotic abstract techno. The Berlin based Italian has made plenty of waves since his first vinyl releases back in 2010 and has gone on to secure residencies at Tresor. The Hidden Dimension sees Luca retrace his account of entering hidden dimensions in musical form. Breathe and Surrender starts off proceedings in ambient bliss, setting the tone perfectly for Process Recall to introduce percussion and bass into the flow, before Duality takes centre stage and shows off Synthek's impeccable production skills in creating a serious deep slice of hypnotism. Harmony then takes things back down to earth and wraps up the story with a calming presence.

Pye Corner Audio morphs into Head Technician mode for the project's brooding 2nd sojourn with Ecstatic. Taking inspiration from his fascination with Brutalist construction, Jenkins exclusively uses Roland TR-606, MC-202 and TB-303 boxes plus the Roland System 100 modular synth to sketch out a slow, murky sound in furtive pursuit of the vibes on Zones (2017), but this time the
results are even darker and oscure.Echoes of early Detroit and UK bleep & bass infiltrate the stark corridors of Profane rchitecture as much as the hauntological spirits of BoC, combining to make a sound that revels in nostalgia yet yearns for the future. It's not a new idea, but it is one that Jenkins executes with such classic
style and unique character that can only lead to comparisons with acid maestros such as early
Plastikman or the Analord, Richard J. James.
For moody dancers, Profane Architecture is perfect, from the oozing elan of opener First Pour thru the spheric momentum of Béton Brut and the mind-weaving acid of Formwork he establishes a slickly hypnotic sound that works its magick with more funk on the flipped, generating the tactile form of Second Pour and the ruggedly hewn groove of The New Brutalism, then closing out with the exquisite darkness of Demolition - a real highlight in his extensive and highly collectible catalogue.

GlassTalk Records return, only 6 months after their debut release, with 'NxNW' from Kevin Arnemann. The Taped Artifact founder delivers a 4-track of icy minimal techno, highlighting his ear for the atmospheric.

'NxNW' EP is a confident statement of intent from the young 25-year-old producer. The deep understanding Kevin Arnemann has of the music he makes, born from the early introduction he got from his parents taking him to Awakenings Festival as an early teenager, is evident throughout this release. This EP is a welcome addition to GlassTalk's cannon of scheduled releases for the upcoming year.

LumièresLaNuit (LLN) is glad to introduce to you to Samochai (LLNOFF004), 4th release of its OFF series by Bremen-based music composers and DJs Massud Matin & Smisou.

Samochai EP presents two different atmospheres that LumièresLaNuit and its OFF Series are particularly fond of: deep- and dub-techno. Indeed, whereas Massud Matin take us out of ourselves with the deep, atmospheric and mind-blowing beats of Zal, Smisou imm­­erses us in his musical world with the dubby, cadenced and aquatic beats of Chanj.

Massud Matin & Smisou celebrate the same music since 2012. The beginning of their collaboration was marked by a couple of digital releases like Smisou's remix of Massud Matin's Come On (2015) and his Keemun EP (2016) — in collaboration with Miynn — on Samani that also includes a remix by Massud Matin. More recently, Massud Matin & Smisou released Parand de Muth on Brosh records.

Finally, in December 2017, Massud Matin brought out his first vinyl EP Like You (TPRL03) on Romanian label Tupiar Records.

For quite a while we supported Bas van Vuurde a.k.a. Colophon, the Harlem based producer was a regular in our store and after some proper vinyl digging we told him that he could always send over some demos. Couple of weeks later we got an email and we enjoyed it so much that we had to release it. We asked VC-118A, who also put out music on labels such as Radio Matrix, Lunar Disco and Tabernacle Records, for a remix.

Colophon has it's own label called Lowercase Life, beautiful hand printed sleeves with stunning music and remixes by Florian Kupfer and Orson Wells, produces nighttime tracks for the floor with a deep but spacious melancholic feel. The Heritage EP is a hommage to analog machine soul techno, as he calls it himself. Deeptrax is presenting future sounds in fresh modern cuts with a stunning electro-ish remix by VC-118A.

"Den Heliga Ån" (The Sacred River) is the debut album of ambient wizard and techno connoisseur Aos. The album is themed around the river Helge Å that runs through the town of Åhus in the southern parts of Sweden. The town in which Aos grew up. The music reflects both a deep love of the river and the nature that surrounds it and has a melancholic feel of a time passed by.On the course of this album Aos invites us to take the journey on the river with him: from the sweeping electronic gestures of timelessness in Tiden upphör vid Mölleholmen, via the melodic pings that can be heard throughout Graften, and the ritualistic electronics at play in Jag eldar vass vid Kavrö until the blissful mellowness of Vår i biflödena - where spring has arrived, and both the river and the music are filled with a calm melancholy, yet joyful in it's celebration of a winter that is ending. Titled 'Emotional Intelligence', FS010 is Darren Nye's first-ever vinyl release and a voyager discovery into five of his finest work. A UK producer who has been writing music since 1995, Darren's emotional and heartfelt work with influences from B12 among others fully represents our ethos of proper techno created today.

First landing — 'Things She Said', where swirling pads wrap themselves around perfectly programmed drums and percussion, complemented by wonderful basslines. 'Emulated Emotion' speaks for itself next. A highly emotive tune with gorgeous pads and percussions carrying the track through while an undulating bassline burbles underneath — a personal spin on B12 influences.

The voyage continues on the flip with 'Plasmid Soul', pure techno soul in its finest form with familiar drums and strings comprising the right ingredients to a timeless tune. Inspired by a photo from a day out in Greenwich and a bad feeling, 'Fragments' is an unexpected side excursion, with its quirky, disjointed bassline recalling the fragments of the past, of yesterday. Vidab X returns with a new artist, Faltin, who chooses to remain anonymous, plus a stepping rework by Gowentgone aka label owners Oliver Deutschmann and Stephan Hill.
Faltin's 'Phobos' is a stripped down analogue masterclass. Rolling and snaking, its arpeggiated lead growls with a hot headed tension, climbing while never losing balance and poise.
The 'Gowentgone Stepper' translates the original into a heavyweight, early-morning trip - a certain hybrid of broken beats and techno attitude that melts between genres. Waves of euphoria are carried by rumbling drums in this essential version.

The second release on Sbire furthers the on-going collaboration between label co-founder Gaspard de La Montagne and Nathan Baumann. 'Spectres' is a bold, seductive and wonderfully-unhurried record which shows the breadth of the Sbire sound world.

The title track is orchestral and profoundly alluring, with an earworm bassline creeping out from behind the kick drum's refined thud. You're pulled further in by the lengthy intro of 'Aube', where floating pads, draw from the instrumental flair of classical music. Mid-way through they give way to a stripped-back bassline, exemplifying the nature of this collaboration.

B-side opener 'Masque' has harmonic beams of light swirling over its foundations. The melodies transfix and the drums keep time. 'Perspectives (1 & 2)' occupies a thin veil of haze, tempering the beat and bringing out the groove in the baggy percussion. In fitting style, it ends a record whose grace comes in the striking interactions between elements far-removed.

Anagram Label follow up their 'Phasing Faces' releases with remixes from Efdemin, Lapien, Ryan James Ford and Terrence Dixon under his Population One moniker this December. Released earlier this year, 'Phasing Faces' was a two-part series featuring Anetha, Elad Magdasi, Mathame and Maukook, not to mention label founders Sinfol and Octual. Anagram have now tapped up four reputable names for a heavyweight remix package; Dial regular Efdemin, fast rising MDR and Answer Code Request act Ryan James Ford, Dutch producer Lapien aka one half of Delsin's Artefakt, as well as renowned Detroit artist Terrence Dixon appearing as Population One. Ostgut Ton's Efdemin opens the package with his immersive remix of Sinfol 'Trembling', incorporating pulsating drones, echoing effects and ethereal synths. Anetha's 'Acid Train' then gets reimagined by SHUT founder Ryan James Ford - the Canadian combines thudding kicks with mesmerising atmospherics as metallic percussion skips throughout. Adding further depth to the release, Rekids and Mistress Recordings artist Lapien remixes Elad Magdasi 'Two Floors' to generate a smooth aesthetic complete with serene nuances and soulful vocal coos before Rush Hour and Metroplex's Population One ties everything together with a deep house reinterpretation of Octual 'Dark Sky'.

Tserg, the 25-year-old producer from the smallest country of South-East Asia, Singapore, has been creating music for quite a while now. As he calls it himself: Music is like my secret 2nd life, because I don't tell many people about it. It is my escape from school and work. Written over a period of 4 months, Forgotten Times is about the dreams we once had and forgot, the present moments that we forget to cherish and the ideals we used to believe and fight for but no longer do so. The intro is a hopeful track for the time when we started to dream. By the time we reach the outro, these memories have become fragmented and we struggle to even remember them. Thankfully, time travel has always been possible in our minds when we think about the past or future. This Transmat like production by Tserg brings us from the future to the past in Forgotten Times but the listener is free to travel in whichever direction they want. Limited to 150 copies pressed at our own Deepgrooves vinyl pressing plant.

Ahrpe Records co-founder Amandra navigates a unique space between droning ambience and polyrhythmic funk on 'Dame De Bahia', his first release to emerge on Italian imprint Obscura. This is the French, Warsaw-based producer's second album and follows a string of acclaimed EPs on Ahrpe, Semantica, Tikita and Silent Season. Complex patterns are woven through sustained tone clusters to foster an unlimited sense of energy and focus. Radiant synths glisten over live percussive loops whilst infinite pads wander the boundaries of light and dark. Amandra uses minimalist techniques to build tranquil sonic spaces that evolve on their own accord, making way for carefully mapped out rhythmic cycles. Yotam Avni's debut on Innercisions thrills by sending out a synthesis of raw percussive sounds and soulful Moroccan vocals, proving once more his position in todays's house scene.

Twenty years after the Sonar Base 4 - 10 release on the legendary Dutch record label U-Trax, it is now time for an official high quality remastered vinyl re-issue on Deeptrax Records. The rare original was very hard to find and is considered as one of THE highlights of Dutch electro and techno. The Dutchman Frank de Groodt a.k.a Sonar Base is hitting hard with a perfect blend of 70 minutes of aquasonic electro, intergalactic boogie and deep techno. Frank started out on U-Trax records in 1994, and released as The Operator and Optic Crux on Djax-Up-Beats before his more recent releases as Fastgraph on Klakson. Besides he's also part of Random XS and Ultradyne.

This bass oriented, mind bending album is considered one of The Netherlands best kept secrets and has been a fave amongst connaisseurs, selectors and DJs around the globe for many years. A real post apocalyptic gem from Utrecht that is as fresh and sharp as it was originally released 20 years ago. The tracks are full bodied, muscular pieces of electro and techno with hidden melodies and savage beats upon clever bass lines.

All tracks analog remastered by Ballyhoo Studios and pressed by the brand new vinyl pressing plant Deepgrooves for optimal listening pleasure. P.M.T.C. - Located somewhere between Australia's interior and the white beached coasts of the Mediterranean, the two tracks presented here 'Reality Change' and 'Cool Waters' are a hybrid kind-of chaos between futurism and rave nostalgia. Inspired by the climatic shifts imposed by a modern trans-hemispherical lifestyle and characterized by more energetic tempos and repetition, P.M.T.C. focuses the attention on the smaller differences, while retaining some of the playful melodies and euphoric sound palette that emits that comfortable warmth, which has become a trademark on both Fantastic Man and Superconscious records.

Somedate, the Weimar and EP - Auctor' by Max Goessler. The title track Auctor has an energetic bottom end which modulates into a screaming break being strong on the dancefloor. The B-Side starts off with Fabula, a dreamy early morning groover. Spherical pads and a staccato acidline lie on on top of triplet drum beat which blends nicely between electronic and acoustic drums. B2 is a live recoding of a modular synthesizer jam suited well as a DJ-Tool.

Amsterdam based label Indigo aera is in the middle of branching out with a new sub-label after establishing itself over the last six years. The label will recently launched a new chapter called ÆX. It will put out hand stamped, various artist EPs from a mixture of befriended artists who are considered all inner family members of the label.


Like the main label, ÆX is run by Jasper Wolff & Maarten Mittendorff who will also release their own tracks on it. But the main focus is creating a place where friends and more established names share their ideas about experimentation and techno music. Receiving loads of music from friends and their surroundings made them want to create a new platform. The first five EPs are all done and will be released late 2017, with an analogue and Detroit sounds often underlying them all.



On the fourth disc the a-side is fully covered with the second appearance of Amsterdam producer KAAP. Known for his long live jams on his own imprint Working Titles he does the same right here. 'Phisiks', over 14 minutes long is a warm and dubby melodic builder that perfectly fits in the ÆX catalogue. On the b-side Ocke W strikes again with a slamming percussive jam. The EP finishes with Taupe who is following up his track on the third chapter, here again an energetic Detroit-esque techno trip.

Ukrainian producer Vakula, whose name is linked to the early days of Arma, re-emerges with Techno Game.

It's an unflinchingly bleak representation of the world described in hard edged techno and shot thru with moments of affective, synthy pathos. In sonic and literal tone, the record forms a stark reflection on Justin K Broadrick Brummie stomping grounds, using demolished tower blocks as cues for some of the album's most affective moments, such as the wrecking ball assault of Bayley Tower (New Mix), the rubbled rolige of Stoneycroft Tower, or the 'marish zumby techno lurch of Bromford Bridge Estate, and all in a way that surely dovetails with the perceptions of anyone who has lived in a built p British area, or anywhere else with lots of
concrete and little sunlight.The other half of the tracks are taken from and titled in reference to Antibiotic Armageddon - the inevitable point when pill-gobbling citizens of the world are no longer protected against old viruses, and new ones. The tone of these cuts is understandably bleak af, too. Tamiflu dry-wretches a windswept passage of bummed-out dub techno breaks, where Squalene (New Mix])glumly follows suit with the clammy synth malaise of Ethylene Glycol and the knee-buckled crawler Thimerosal, which sounds like one of his Godflesh tracks in the process of terrifying itself to death.s

Route 8 back to his techno project Q3A dropping some heavy grooving tracks! A year after his last release on Delsin, the talented Hungarian producer is back with four more cuts of techno and electro excellence, club tracks that ooze atmosphere and intriguing details. The Nameless Place kicks off with a tense and tangled techno track that is urgent and slick as is hurries on through damp underground caverns. The Very End of You completely flips the script and is a slow motion bit of dub. With only sparse kick drums, the focus is on the cavernous pads that smear in huge arcs as watery droplets and heavenly chords add to the brain soothing effect. Temple of Retribution is back to techno, this time with loose, jumbled percussion and clipped drums cantering along at high speed. Again it's roomy stuff with no real edge, the Deva Station drops into house mode, wriggling drums and distant vocal cries finished off with some classic Detroit keys. It's a high tech, soulful track that closes out a diverse and devastating EP.

It's an unflinchingly bleak representation of the world described in hard edged techno and shot thru with moments of affective, synthy pathos. In sonic and literal tone, the record forms a stark reflection on Justin K Broadrick Brummie stomping grounds, using demolished tower blocks as cues for some of the album's most affective moments, such as the wrecking ball assault of Bayley Tower (New Mix), the rubbled rolige of Stoneycroft Tower, or the 'marish zumby techno lurch of Bromford Bridge Estate, and all in a way that surely dovetails with the perceptions of anyone who has lived in a built p British area, or anywhere else with lots of
concrete and little sunlight.The other half of the tracks are taken from and titled in reference to Antibiotic Armageddon - the inevitable point when pill-gobbling citizens of the world are no longer protected against old viruses, and new ones. The tone of these cuts is understandably bleak af, too. Tamiflu dry-wretches a windswept passage of bummed-out dub techno breaks, where Squalene (New Mix) glumly follows suit with the clammy synth malaise of Ethylene Glycol and the knee-buckled crawler Thimerosal, which sounds like one of his Godflesh tracks in the process of terrifying itself to death.s
