Modeight returns to the fore once again with a brand new release, continuing their mission to ply the depths of forward-thinking minimal talent from across the globe. For their 9th outing they've enlisted the skills of Sarajevo based producer and rising talent Zlatnichi as he offers up his dazzling "Baobabakka" EP, full of innately groovy hooks and sonic intensity. Having contributed to 12" releases on Serbian imprint Red District and Miami's Basswalk Records, Zlatnichi continues to display a mature and captivating sound. Overlaying a hazy cross section of tripped-out sampled and electronics over effortlessly fluid rhythms. Modeight nails yet another masterful collaboration here, showcasing a talent that's sure to have a big year head of him.

Dormald is the name of the promising italian duo composed by Omar Akhrif and Donald.
Featured artists and generators of many events on their local scene in Verona during the last decade.

They involve us on its musical vision with an EP named The Oyster's Theory.
On the A side they propose techno beats and electro matisse with Rain Stopped.
On the B side Snake Charmer hypnotise with acid and distortioned rhythms.

With releases on the likes of Organic Music, Housewax and (djebali), plus a string of stand-out EP’s via their own labels Sintope and Sintope Digital, Timisoara’s NTFO have established themselves as key names within the realm of minimal and deep house since making their production debut back in early 2008. Having released their ‘Esperantza’ EP on the label last year, here we see the pairing return to Bondage Music in fine form to open their account in 2019 with the impressive ‘Dobr’.
Title cut ‘Dobr’ opens the EP as the duo quickly go to work, introducing a slick blend of sharp drum shots amongst snaking bassline patterns, whilst ‘Blissed Out’ combines organic percussion licks, punch low end tones and warping synth leads to great effect. Next, the first vinyl only track on the package ‘Riddin’ welcomes dubby pads and crisp hats before flowing steadily into the slinking, metallic tones and 303-tinged bass stabs found throughout ‘Standers’.

Coming hot on the heels of their debut release (a stunning record by ROAR), French imprint WORK IN PROGRESS returns here in triumphant and eclectic fashion courtesy of a record that does their reputation as serious party-starters no harm at all. Again featuring the talents of ROAR, this is a dizzyingly eclectic record that fans of smile-induing house and disco are sure to admire especially. The A1, the title track, ‘I Wanna This Record’ is a case in point. A really vibe-heavy disco-centric track that’s notable for its killer vocals and acid techno flashes, it’s an unlikely gem of the sort that will light up any floor. For their contribution, London duo The Willers Brothers turn the track on its head, opting instead for a more straight-up, 4/4 remix. Muscular and full of wonders, it’s without doubt a neat addition to the original’s charms.

The B side sees ROAR side up with Zolbaran courtesy of another cheeky and playful track, ‘Neukolln Baila La Bamba’ Starting toward pop sensibilities in a manner not dissimilar to Kompakt, this one pulls at the heartstrings in much the same way that Gui Boratto’s best work does. An emotive, pleasure-seeking cut that’s hard not to love, that’s for sure. Closing out the release is the no-less assured sounding strands of ‘Modulando El Piano’, which sees ROAR & Zolboran go toe-to-toe with Nico Forster for a sultry, piano-heavy gem that’s never boring and always unpredictable. Unconventional sounds that evoke memories of Perlon and Kompakt, WORK IN PROGRESS’ latest is a joy to behold.

"On My Way" EP is the first vinyl-only release by the Polish label Kooky Music. Gogan, the co-founder of the label, delivers 3 minimal house tracks that portray both Gogan's long-term deejaying experience, and his ambition to think out of his own box as a musician and constantly improve his production skills. What is essential, is that the Polish producer keeps the dance factor at a high level and does not forget that the main role of a clubbing track is to make people move, this is why we get 3 100% dancefloor killers, often minimalistic in form, but with totally groovy feeling. Last but not least, is the atmospheric remix provided by Silat Beksi, one of the finest producers in the world of minimal house (and more). As already said, the release is vinyl-only, so grab your copy as fast as you can, 'cause it's really hard to say if there is going to be a repress in those times that hit the clubbing scene so hard.

The raves at Same Bitches have not changed much since back in March 2014 at OHM, Berlin. Every second month on the first Saturday at noon sharp the residents Handmade, Ron Wilson, Derek Plaslaiko, VCO and Manuela Mayoral play each a three hour set and after everyone is through the Dj who warmed up goes into the next round continuing the running order with the usual ending in a full on back-to-back orgy. The occasional special guest never gets announced, it is mainly the same bitches in charge.

Inspired by the raw sound of Detroit Techno, the crew have quickly gained underground praise over the years for their liberal queer atmosphere and no compromise after-hour excessive "last raver standing" attitude. Running at least 24 hours up until even 36 hours the raves have no dull moments bringing everyone into euphoria and exhaustion. Hard bouncy house and groovy techno with a lot of acid drive the dancers through the day and night... and day.

After seven years it has come to the point of expanding the realm and the crew decided on releasing a record. The tracks of the first Same Bitches record featuring Handmade, VCO, Ron Wilson and Derek Plaslaiko represent their diverse yet homogenous sound of the parties and arrive just on time for their anniversary in March. Hopefully soon the party can continue and we can all enjoy the music and dance together again...

Hector & David Gtronic join forces once again on the sixth installment from the Tervisio series. Including four original cuts ranging from stripped back 90s house grooves, mystical synths, massive basslines and continuous beats. Vinyl only - Silky and smooth like a fox, Crihan makes his way through on Catren's third release with "Fabulistul". Eerily creeping through, "Fuse si se duse" tells a tale of fleeting forest creatures roaming at night with a classical percussion driven tool that hits just the rights spots for warming up the dancefloor with bouts of shy melodies and a beautifuly constructed drum track. Sweet and simple, just like we like it.

On the flip side, "Corbul si vulpea" moves things further into groovier waters with a bassline that pulls you deep into the track's inner workings with delayed dub stabs, haunting melodies and chilling vocals coming in from the woodwork.

Insane Code Recording is ready to amaze you with its second vinyl, containing 4 techno bombs suitable for the most demanding dancefloors. Gianluca Corsi, who needs no introduction, opens this new release with an astounding track called Emisphera, followed by Max Sensation, ICR Label owner, who brings out a modern techno journey full of vibe, called Hypnotic Suggestion. In the end, the record is completed with an original mix by Suave called The test followed by an impressive remix by Federico Guglielmi, who pulls out his personal vision of techno, rich in a selection of sounds that will take you on a journey between old school and new school techno.

Dana Ruh's Brouqade has long been renowned for its many eclectic and unpredictable sounds. In that essence, the label's latest signing is a fitting fit. Kamran Sadeghi is an NYC based electronic music producer who is well versed in unconventional soundscapes. As likely to release an electronic music EP as he is turn his hand to film scores or more ambient textures, Sadeghi has collaborated with everyone from Patti Smith to Berlin club, Berghain. A live artist of considerable depth and panache, his signing to Brouqade marks another high point in the label's story.

On BQD042, Sadeghi delivers two originals as well as a collaboration with Dana Ruh. Kicking off the release is the sounds of Come Here'. An oddball mishmash of different sounds and strands, its a delicate track that clocks in at over 13 minutes. Minimal but never lacking in colour, it's reminiscent of Ricardo Villalobos at his most intoxicating best.

The B side gets underway with Compound Eye', a percussion-laced number that's more tailored to peak time pastures. Gradually picking up steam as it unfurls, it's soon imbued with a deep underbelly, the likes of which only adds to its appeal. Culminating the release is the sounds of Call & Response', the previously alluded to collaboration with Brouqade boss, Dana Ruh. Starting off on a zippy, scaled back vibe, it quickly picks up steam, resulting in a chugging number that's filled to the brim with flair and panache. A pair that evidently work great together, Sadeghi and Ruh's contribution to the EP is the icing on top of what's an all-round excellent listen.

This is probably Joakim’s most ambitious project so far. An album about our relationship to Nature to make it short or how Western civilization disconnected Nature from Culture. Every song was born
using field recordings as a basis canvas, the sounds of Nature are the lead voice here. A nature that is transformed, sublimized, questioning our ideas of what’s artificial, what’s the wilderness, the place of humans in the age of the Anthropocene and painting a psychedelic landscape to open our ears and our hearts.
The artwork features a lenticular print (2 images in 1) showing Naruto, a monkey who took a selfie using a photographer’s camera who later tried to claim the copyright of that image. That claim raised questions whether copyright can be extended to “non-humans” and was ultimately rejected by the U.S. Copyright Office who specifically listed 'a photograph taken by a monkey' as an example of an item that cannot be copyrighted.

The third vinyl release on Manjumasi comes from enigmatic Ukranian producer Silat Beksi, whose work shines in its expertly honed details. Each of his productions is infused with an intricate sense of groove and texture ​—​ one is left with the feeling that describing his sound as “minimal” does not do it justice.
Over the course of many vinyl releases, he has shown himself to have a unique sonic touch, a style that is best described as his own.
The A-side features two works. Lead track DNA is a moody affair with an extremely deep descending bassline that anchors the low-end, while atmospheric pads develop above. The track is imbued with a feeling of life, evolving, emerging from the shadowy mists. This is followed up by Frozen, a more groove-forward number with an emphasis on trippy melodic details and vocal edits that keep the ears constantly engaged.
On the B side is Light In The Darkness, a meditative but driving track with a long and very deliberate energetic build. As the name suggests, this one conveys a sense of optimism, with wide pads that evoke new possibilities opening ahead.
